2081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin Could Be The Key To World Peace on: March 06, 2020, 03:16:36 PM
"World Peace" is something that does not depend on an asset or a physical thing or any particular thing.
Definitely, we , all should know the value of peace, it is priceless. We cannot define the World peace by anything that has a cost just like love, hatred and other feelings.
It will only be attained when everybody has inner peace and truly believes in each other.
Only when we understand each other and respect each other's values in order to help each other and solve problems, we will be truly achieving world peace.
Bitcoin could probably give from the war started when the cryptocurrency existed whether which is better to use if Fiat or cryptocurrency. Well the fact that we are still using fiat now dominantly there is no argue with it since cryptocurrencies are just alternatives but the thing is, are we going to have enough for this issue? I guess that is where the world peace for both currency.
2082  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can save some people's lives :-> on: March 06, 2020, 09:22:25 AM
I watched a Youtube video last night about the food merchants in some of the markets in Wuhan <China> and I noticed that most of them are using electronic payment methods to pay for goods. < Wechat Pay >

Ok, it is not Bitcoin, but if more merchants using Fiat currency can switch over to Bitcoin, you might see less infections. The reason for this is simple, because the Corona virus can be transmitted from person to person via cash being used on a daily basis.

People can also do online payments with Bitcoin to avoid handling physical cash and thus avoiding infection. It can also prevent people from being infected from a host of other viruses and bacteria that can survive for days on physical coins and notes.

This is just one more reason for people to move away from physical payment methods and shifting to a cash-less financial system in the future.  Wink

Online payment are being adopted in different country and it could really save people from getting infected on different virus that can be pass through physical contact such as the latest virus, corona virus. The only downside of using online payment is when you misclick or send the money to other addresses. You cannot retrieve your money.
Yeah, but for now we cannot point out this downside of the fiat as still it is more efficient than digital payment. Just earlier I went to mall and bought a slipper, just a slipper but it took almost 5mins for my e-wallet to approve the request made the merchant and it is annoying. I thought to myself, I could go with my fiat and finish the bill within5 to 10 seconds unlike buying digitally. Although it looks like very futuristic indeed, we still have much to improve with what is on the crypto/online payment now.
2083  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Minimizing the risk- How much possible it is? on: March 05, 2020, 06:49:44 PM
It depends on the effect of your plans especially in the worst situations ( big dump ). In addition to that, it is better to focus on the best cryptocurrencies in the market ( TOP 20 ) that's one of ways to minimilize the risk I would guess. Unfortunately, the market is full of shitty altcoins, try to ignore all of them otherwise, you will lose your budget on them, maybe some of them are a bit profitable  in day trading but the opposite is true in a medium and long term.

In fact, the crypto market is heavily dependent on the value of Bitcoin and it is not always possible that the coin will be stable to help you make a profit during this time. I guess instead of choosing to invest in the top 20 CMC, you should find some new projects that have just appeared this year because this is the option that will help you to make more profits than the old coins.
Noticeably the price of the altcoins are high whenever bitcoin is increasing however that isn't the point of being dependent if altcoins. Altcoins are dependent in a way that if bitcoin could lose its potential and reputation, the market could go zero again or worst to be born again. 20 coins in the cmc won't matter, there are hundreds of coins that has its own potential that only needs a time to grow and be popular.
2084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HTC to release a blockchain router to let users run a full bitcoin node at home on: March 05, 2020, 06:14:42 PM
That seems.. odd for a router. There has to be an end goal for HTC to construct such a device and tweak it to perform as such. Personally though, I'd stick to my ASUS router and a Raspberry Pi bitcoin node if I wish to run one. There's just so many questions popping in my mind regarding this new device from HTC, and their explanation about it is kinda vague and feels like there's some underlying motive to that. Idk but that just not feel right.
HTC is trying to get the crypto crowd and has been for years, they've had two separate phones with built in hardware wallets and a separate os that they sold for crypto directly as well. I'm not too suspicious about this.
Well I do feel right with HTC. They are trying to fit with what is going on right now, their rumored smartphone out last year have a built in wallet for bitcoin cash. Their market performance surprisingly got high when they did this and other crypto stuffs making a large value in 2019. HTC has been for so many years, I'm sure they aren't preparing a device that might just lost in the future market clash.
2085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin Gets Centralized Through Massive Mergers on: March 05, 2020, 05:30:02 PM
The argument of Bitcoin getting centralized is wrong in the very beginning.

According to the article:

Quote
Not to be outdone, Tron moved to exchanges such as Poloniex, Binance and Huobi and bought up some 84 million Steem tokens in a strategic move that gives the company majority vote among Block Producers (BP) of the Steemit network. This means that the top BPs would be chosen by Justin Sun of Tron. So the attempt to keep him off control of the Steemit blockchain through the soft fork has been defeated.

Who has such power to do that with Bitcoin, not even the whales unless they collude with each other but I doubt that. Whales can only things that much in the market, to manipulate it, but to have control control? Nah, I'm not seeing it happening in the future.
Definitely, whales won't exist if they are not making any money with bitcoin or in any other cryptocurrency. In fact, they are enemies here trying to manipulate the market with their own interest and tries to outsmart the other whales. Yes this might be a good idea but it will also be good if these whales are not just here because of the money but also for the next generation currency. I wonder what it would look like hmm.
2086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Blockchain in Hollywood Movies on: March 05, 2020, 04:43:13 PM
This is really good and I’m expecting more and more movies in Hollywood to be creating awareness for cryptocurrency by doing things that relates to cryptocurrency in their movies. This will, as time goes on, create more awareness and make the government to lift bans on cryptocurrency and allow people to make use of it. Or maybe they will create a cryptocurrency for the people.
India and South Korea uplifted their conflict with the cryptocurrencies, so maybe this is the time we'll get to see more of crypto in bollywood and hollywood when the movie is all about the future or something advance. Exposing in movies for like a couple of seconds would really help to the community, reaching billions of viewers are extremely high. I'm sure those who know what crypto is will smile when they see it haha.

2087  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin ATM Dublin on: March 05, 2020, 03:50:24 PM
Found the first ever bitcoin atm machine here in my country however I never see anyone from here that posted about it so perhaps they have the same concern as you. As far as I know the crypto machine allows its user to buy and sell crypto which is owned by Unionbank placed at their headquarters only. I can't really imagine how the machine works, but I guess it will not be existential if it does unreasonable pricing for fees.
2088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Supreme Court of India finally uplifts the ban on Cryptocurrencies in India on: March 04, 2020, 10:06:42 PM
It's good news. Slowly but surely, the influence of the blockchain is spreading around the world.

Yeah, this came when the market need it to run with but, the fact still.remain that, India with such a huge numbers of citizens will be of a great benefit to the cryptocurrency world. Although, the market should have been seen with some good signs of upward movement but till now nothing of such. As you have rightly said, this may take time to slowly raise the market from were it is now. For those government that have rejected the technology before now, will fall back to accept the true power of the technology. Blockchain and Bitcoin cannot be separated  as much.
I do believe something huge is coming not because India uplifts the ban but because India will significantly affect the price of bitcoin. It's been a 2 year battle between the Reserved Bank of India and the cryptocurrency, I think they already know what cryptocurrencies could bring and realized the worth of it. Thanks to members of IAMAI, businesses like them is surely an adopters, glad they fight for it.
2089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a failed experiment? on: March 03, 2020, 07:24:27 PM
Again FUD on Bitcoin ? I think I saw to much FUD to actually believe that Bitcoin is an experiment gone wrong or a fail one. Bitcoin purpose is the same as before and just because the price is sitting duck for now , doesn't mean it won't rise again or that the tech is not used anymore because contrary of what are you saying the truth is the opposite because more and more brands are implementing Bitcoin as a payment gateway and furthermore the adoption is still on the rise.
This pattern often appears when it's bearish, right? when new people arrive because of the price of the bitcoin pump, then fomo, finally loses and then blames and says: bitcoin scam, bubble, failed experimentation, and the like. Though it is his own fault for not studying the bitcoin ecosystem well. Most newbie with such a model would want instant wealth with bitcoin, without any preparation, it will not get anything, except luck.
Well everything is natural according to my observation, it is just that there are people who can't believe why is this happening. Bitcoin isn't an experiment nor a project, it is supposed to be an alternative for payment on which now is on the process of taking big steps with finance. Newbies should stop asking why these things are happening, they should be more a reader and observer right now instead.
2090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Leave gambling, if it destroys you. on: March 03, 2020, 06:33:16 PM
gambling is really attractive. so interesting. have so many things to destryo you. every time, every strategies which you follow seems "that ll work this time" you believe that. but finals always the same. failure is waiting at the end.

then i supposed that play with e percent off your bank.
Yes, If I had to guess even losing a big amount could be more advantageous for some playboy type of dudes because that shows you can afford to lose a lot of money on gambling and that kind of means that you have that much money to lose and that might look more attracting to girls.
What do women has to be on this? I mean what does the gender do on this particular matter?

I am not going to generalize the whole women gender by saying women like money but if a girl is with you while you are gambling and carring a wad of cash that kind of woman could be in it for the money most of the time. That is why I highly suspect losing tens of thousands of dollars could be more beneficial for you if the whole aim is to impress women. However as long as you wager a lot of money, why would they mind you winning neither Cheesy.
If the reason why you gamble is to impress other people ( not generalizing, especially women to degrade their dignity ) then you are on the wrong place. gambling isn't for attracting people because of money stacks on your table, gambling is a showcase of skills and critical thinking to gain a profit. Women will come at you at time, women that is attracted with money is not the one for you, really.
2091  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin halving make cryptocurrencies reach all time high again? on: March 03, 2020, 05:13:02 PM
No one here can say exactly what happens after halving. I believe Bitcoin will cross the previous ATH after halving bitcoin. But I cannot say how long it will take. If Bitcoin repeats its history again, we will see a new ath again after halving. Because the last bitcoin halving was in 2016, then Bitcoin goes on a historic bull run in 2017. So we can expect something good.
Yeah cause no one's entitled to say it but the patterns are still at large of making the bitcoin price high again although it is not accurate to based on. The halving occurred in 2016 impacted the bitcoin on 2017 very hard that it was able to reach the peak of its price but do not expect that much we've been on this for a long time, perhaps we will see it again this time 2020 to 2021 what do you think guys?
2092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Sad News]: Nigerian shot dead after resisting robbers access to crypto phone on: March 03, 2020, 04:12:57 PM
Jumping on someone to get him to give you the seeds/private keys/passwords is the most stupid thing someone could do. If they were hackers, it must have been their last resort to accomplish the task. Roll Eyes
I guess you didn't read the post carefully. Hackers were not the ones to shoot the guy.
The victim's friend knew that he had $10k worth of bitcoin in his wallet and so he had all of this planned.
He gathered some more people and encountered this murder.
I feel pity for the victim since his own friend did this to him.
If this is true then it will be very easy to the authorities to get the justice for the victim. And I'm thinking, if the victim is not giving his access to his crypto on his phone then why shoot him? the suspect could have just kidnapped him until he let go of his private keys or something that unlocks it then he could set him free after. My wild guess is that the suspect only thinks of the value on his phone and does not know any thing about crypto security.
2093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the odds of winning the casino on: March 02, 2020, 05:32:35 PM
it is very important that you take chances of winning and profit into consideration  once you decide to try your luck.
the other major factor that should be taken care of in the process of choosing the ideal casino in which you will play is the limit of the house .
for example when the currency is tossed into the air you know in advance that the chances of winning or losing are completely fixed at 1:2 or 50%-50%.
the same rules have been applied to gambling games .
in the online casino on the assumption that the roulette wheel has a 37_38 slot and that the standard playing standard for the card games package is 52 cards and that the dice has 6 faces .
in the case of US roulette the home limit is 5.6 which means that for every 100-unit  bet;5.6
blackjack is considered one of the best options ,offering the game with a home edge of only 0.80%.
the edge of the house in some other gambling games in the online casino sites:
baccarat1.17%
bikarat 1.63%
game joe poker 2.5%
by taking the numbers and ratios mentioned above ,we recommend focusing on playing craps ,blackjack and then the game of parkras.
if you are interested in playing a profitable game.

players who merge into the account of all options are quickly tired

For me, considering or not, odds are still odds, it can't really be measured by percentage or data because, gambling means taking big risk and engaging in a wheel of fortune environment in which your only weapon is your wits, luck, and self-control. Knowing when and where to gamble or waiting for the right time and the right game is also important as it gives you a higher chance to not lose a huge amount of money from gambling. In every risk, gamblers should set aside their emotional part and solely rely on their wisdom and experience as a gambler because, emotions aren't permanent and it would only hinder a gambler to think thoroughly for their every move and decisions.
Odds are just computed for exact amount of variables that is where you can find the odds of playing on which case by the casino there are continous odds after continous playing so it means it is really immesureable. For the players, the edge of winning is based on their skills in particular gambling like table games that requires critical thinking and a bit of luck that is where you can find your odds. And if fate is siding by you then congrats  Wink
2094  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your trading app? on: March 02, 2020, 04:32:26 PM
Just be careful when you are about to choose a "trading app". Not just trading app, any kind of application you might download, bears some risks. I have seen many people suggesting random applications that you can use. Make sure you check their reviews people you download them. Even if you download them officially from a store, this doesn't mean that the app does not contains anything malicious.
JUST A FRIENDLY REMINDER GUYS! ! !
The trading industry has been booming for a couple of years now, scammers are getting rid of the old security and come up with fake and fraud application that contains harmful software to your devices. There are many cases that person's private information are being harvested due to unknown reason, this is might be the unsafe browsing to the internet or downloading some contents.

I have heard google and apple deletes thousands of apps every month because of those apps being "unsafe". Same goes for those random wallets people are suggesting on this thread.
This is true. Google now is strict with applications approval since there are cases reported.
2095  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can porn sites make bitcoin more popular or will it brings negative effects? on: March 02, 2020, 03:38:39 PM

Well I think many of us here are aware of the subreddit GirlsGoneBitcoin where girls accept BTC. Its been existing for years, I have no idea if it had really helped BTC to become popular. If I am however interested to see them naked, I would probably send USD and check them out myself after all they can do camera show for few bucks. I may only send BTC if the girl really will accept BTC alone.
I haven't seen that subreddit yet but I guess it did affect somehow on BTC since people are getting btc in exchange for what they want.

There are adult site already accepting BTC as far as I know I've seen them in their own forum, they do have directory of porn sites.
Well I guess adult websites already get the bitcoin as payment mode as other payment processors does not let their service offered to malicious stuff like porn. Just like what paypal did with pornhub, they withdraw their service with pornhub due to some reason but then it was pornhub's fault who did not follow the contract.
2096  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bull and bear market. on: March 02, 2020, 02:03:00 PM
To make lots of money of course when the market is bullish but to do that it would be better for you to make long-term investments, because even when you buy when the market is bearish and then it is very clear if you want to get a bigger profit, then hold it until the market is bullish is one choice you have to make. But on the other hand there are many active traders and basically they don't always wait for a bullish market to make a profit, because they can take advantage of every movement that occurs in the market so that it allows them to get profit even though the market is in a bearish condition.
I think the bearish market is really good for profit but not everyone is confident enough to choose to trade during this time because it is risky and can cost you money if you make a mistake. In the past, I have tried this trading method and made a lot of profits.
Bearish market is not good for profit, instead you should've said it is good to start and make profit. Although trades are risky during that time, I prefer not to trade one that moment and just buy and buy everything that is potentially profit gainer in the next month. Bearish market is my favorite phase of the market since it is the longest phase of the market and I can ready my funds before entering the bullish era.

However, being greedy made me lose a lot of money here and that could be considered the biggest mistake of my life.
Too bad for you, when my greed takes over me I always try not look at my portfolio and just wait for a long time and avoid blaming of myself.
2097  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin declined 3% as the coronavirus spread in italy on: March 02, 2020, 12:01:00 PM
I wonder if the price of Bitcoin starts rising up would we see something like this?
Would they create a similar thing like Bitcoin price starts to increase 3% as the corona virus spread in italy?

Well it does just noticeable that coincides with the corona virus on the scene now coz everything outside the virtual affects it like the said disease. So if there is significant change on the prices it is either there coming or there is happening outside ( like the virus ), inside ( high speculation). Actually the 3% down is not that much as I already expected it when the virus spread out in China which is the highly populated country in the world, on top of that is the major businesses in China that is related to crypto.
2098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Visa approves Coinbase as Principal Member - big step for mass adoption? on: March 01, 2020, 05:29:28 PM
A few years back, payment processors such as Visa and Mastercard were the most vocal critics of cryptocurrency. They were banning anyone who is even remotely associated with BTC usage. It is happy to see that their attitude towards Bitcoin has changed now. Perhaps they no longer view Bitcoin as a rival. I don't know whether this is a good news or a bad news for us.

Are you sure? Visa and Mastercard are just payment settlement service providers. They don't have the power to ban anyone. These payment settlement providers are partnered with money exchangers and Banks. So banks have banned people from using banking service for being associated with bitcoin or other cryptos, but not these providers. Visa can suspend a bank but not an individual.
This is absolutely fake. There is no way the could ban anyone just for using cryptocurrency coz cryptocurrency isn't illegal at the first place.

Visa and Mastercard influences a lot they have everything for Service providers, Government, Commercial Solution, Suppliers, Tech. Partners etc. so there is no way Visa and Mastercard will ignore this very big thing in front of them, In fact they could lessen their work cost just for using this kind of method. Mass adoption is real especially when recognized by the leading golbal payment processor, Visa.
2099  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading, gambling and binary options. Which one you prefer? on: March 01, 2020, 04:57:09 PM
Gambling is one of the hell platform that i'll never recommend to anyone for earn money. Cause no matter how much you start good end of the day you will lose everything. Like you said "I still lost all my money to gambling.
I strongly disagree with this coz if you can't really win then why are you playing or gambling? Gambling is not profitable when you are only thinking of the profit. As a gambler for a while now, I don't really intend to gain a profit in a day, I just think on how to win a game as for me, I play poker and other table games like blackjack.

"[/i] And i will always choose Trading over Binary Options. Cause i think in trading you have better opportunity reach success than binary options. I didn't try gambling but i tried binary options before and in my opinion Trade is way much easy, comfort and freelance than others. Of course you will loss sometimes which is part of trading but in bottom line you can stand yourself in any situation.
anything is potentially a profit gainer it just depends on who handles it.
2100  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency can not replace fiat currency. on: March 01, 2020, 04:17:29 PM
Bitcoin and cryptocurrency is not meant to replace fiat, it is invented to be an alternative source of payment that's scarce and decentralize, when the old monetary system gets to regulated and manipulative.
But if people gets to fed up with it, we might see massive migration of users from fiat to cryptocurrency, especially when countries are trying to establish their own cryptocurrency we might see a massive adoption in the future.
I guess the reason you have given is just a cover up for what the main purpose of cryptocurrencies because if it is really made just for alternative method then we should have already adopted it since then. I think this is what the government sees even though we are saying that it is just a simple payment method when it is really not. The fact that it is decentralized is already enough reason to invalidate it by the regulators.
