1821  Economy / Economics / Re: Rise in US unemployment. Thoughts? on: July 22, 2020, 02:43:53 PM

What are your thoughts about this? Do you think that US will have an advantage on not employing workers due to this pandemic?
Will their economy be affected by this suspension on high-skilled worker's visas?

The US is not the only country experiencing the issue of unemployment due to this covid-19 pandemic because there are also lots of countries who are currently on the same scenario. I think it is not appropriate to say that the president of US is prioritizing the case of unemployment because it was a real deal that business establishments must be temporarily close amid with the existence of the pandemic so that people most specially workers will not get infected by the virus since they can be prone to transfer the infectious disease working on the field with many workers together in a work place.

Many countries are doing the same thing and it is one of the ways possible to be done to protect many people from the threat of the covid-19. The rise of the unemployment rate of US will not be an advantage because it is actually a burden and other countries do also think like that because the economy will be down and citizens will just rely their needs from the government because they have nothing to earn and spend for their daily necessities.

Surely the economy of US will be affected on getting their high skilled workers unemployed because they were the ones who are making the economy lively and productive. Their loss in the work field will directly affect US economy but they still have nothing to do because it is an important action needed to be done to keep the people safe. But as of the moment, other countries are executing the "new normal" set up wherein workers can now get back to work following strict health protocols and minimal working capacity to exhibit physical distancing. I guess if this would happen to US, the rate of unemployment would be lessen for there would be workers that can now get back to their works.
1822  Economy / Economics / Re: Interesting perspective of Investors on: July 22, 2020, 02:10:09 PM
Apparently a survey conducted confirmed that 60% of the Investors will rather keep holding their Bitcoins till they die if the price does not exceed 10,000$

https://news.bitcoin.com/survey-60-of-bitcoin-investors-will-die-with-their-btc-if-price-stays-below-10000/

Few things to note here :

*People are serious about Bitcoins and do know the value of it
*They might be thinking of keeping it as inheritance money or something
*Bitcoin's value won't have any drastic effects since these people are more or so long term holders

This was a overall positive poll which showed the importance Bitcoins achieved now~

Well, that was really pretty good to see that investors are really willing to die for the sake of holding their Bitcoins. But that was just a shallow perspective to think and that was not just really quite impressive because probably the price of Bitcoin can exceed the $10,000 mark. If that happens, then those investors who are said to be part of the survey conducted will probably sell their Bitcoins already since their expectations about the price of Bitcoin is just that low. Imagine, we are already seeing its price at $9,300+ when the last time I have checked it. It was just that close to $10,000.

Also, datas that are gathered through the use of polls are somewhat not that reliable for many can be a part of it and that will not showcase the real deal of who are those people that voted on the poll. Indeed it represents a population of respondents regarding a specific matter but still it cannot be reliable to claim that investors would gladly be serious on holding into their Bitcoin up until it exceeds $10,000 mark.

But gladly, it is still so nice to know that people are already recognizing the importance and usage of Bitcoin making it more important for investors to make hold of what they currently have as of the moment.
1823  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic situation declining and famous celebs not paying workers on: July 22, 2020, 06:28:18 AM
It is awful and absurd for the part of those people who have been working for celebrities that have not received any help or support from their bosses at this time of pandemic just because their businesses are temporarily close. May they at least give some concern or at least give a handful of their stored wealth to help those people that have been working for them and have been one of the keys behind their success. That would be just a small percentage of their wealth that they can surely regain once this pandemic is over and once their businesses have reopened once again. May they at least give a hand for those who are needy because seriously, this quarantine due to pandemic is unfavorable for the poor people because indeed they are safe inside their house but there are also other things that they need to survive. May the celebrities just treat the help they would give as a good deed or social responsibility for they can still have more than enough of money right beside them.

A little support for those workers would do since they were seriously affected for being temporarily jobless because of the pandemic.
1824  Economy / Economics / Re: How long will it take banks to phase out physical cash completely? on: July 22, 2020, 05:24:38 AM
For sure it would really take a very long time for the phasing out of physical money to take place. Also there would be a lot of arguments and consultations to be done before coming up into such decision because there are lots of people around the world who would still prefer using fiat or paper money more than digital ones like cryptocurrencies. Just like in the cases in the third world countries wherein they have difficulty on adapting into the latest technology because of the economic status and cultural as well as traditional belief stored on people's minds that makes it an additional difficulty to implement such thing of phasing out paper money just to put it into a digital manner.

Humanity are known to adapt into changes but it would really take long to execute the idea of phasing out physical money for it would still take concern of the citizen's opinion regarding the matter if it would fit their daily life situation and if it would suit to adapt on the tradition they have on using paper money. If the government and people would jive into the same decision and if it would benefit both parties wherein no one would be left behind, then possibly that is the time when banks can totally phase out usage of physical money and turn it into digital ones. Although it could be possible to happen, it would really take time for people to accept and adapt on the new system of currency.
1825  Economy / Economics / Re: China economy and how they handle Covid-19. on: July 22, 2020, 03:59:43 AM
We all know that the root of this pandemic are those Chinese people who eats exotic food. The first case of Covid-19 was in Wuhan, China, the markets there are in a lockdown and closed after they try to sell horseshoe bat where the new strand of corona virus came from. We all know that China has a strong and rich economy due to their love for money.

China's approach toward this virus is really precise and effective as they are minimizing the rate of transmission of this Covid-19. They are effectively slowing the number of cases and right now, they have only 415 active cases as of June 28, 2020, based on this link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COVID-19_pandemic.

Maybe the factors that help them to have a stable economy are:
1. Chinese people are really disciplined, they are not going outside but still can pay taxes.
2. They strictly following the rules and laws implemented by the government.
3. The government is prioritizing the health sector above all other sectors.
4. Properly allocating the budget for this pandemic.
5. We all know that China is the number 1, manufacturer of face masks, gloves, alcohol, and test kits.

By that factors, these will help them handle this Covid-19 properly and as well as controlling their economy to prevent some downward movement. Being a communist and huge country is really a good advantage as they control how money regulates in their country. Man power toward production of goods are really strong as they have the largest population.

Do you think each and every country can achieve this kind of approach to this pandemic? Can they recover faster from this struggle economically?

This just shows how powerful really the economy of China is when it comes to situation like this because it can do support its people even at this time of pandemic. Even though they were the ground zero or the starting point of this situation, they still manages to discipline its people to follow the rules given by the government. It exhibits how coordination between the government and the people works to be able to conquer this situation we are all currently lying in.

Other countries even not that big or not that rich can do the same thing on how China handles this pandemic because it all just needed to start from understanding and cooperation coming from the government on how it plans and execute platforms that will help its people to still stand at this time and of course the discipline that people must exhibit on following the rules and regulations needed to help the government manage things so that current crisis won't get worst.

Probably China can truly recover that fast even after this struggle because of their rich economy and strict government they have. Imagine the case started from them but still they manage to lead it a way to stop and flatten the curve of the number of cases they have with the help of both parties (government and citizens).
1826  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Don't buy facemasks for the coronavirus! on: July 21, 2020, 01:58:44 PM
This was really a good information to be shared to many people. But since many have been using it ever since the pandemic have started and the government as well as health care practitioners are also advising everyone to wear one, the mentality would be it is essential to wear one. Everyone is just taking good care of themselves and this is just a one way step to somehow lessen the panic and spread of virus according to experts. We still do not have anything to do since there is still no vaccine discovered to stop this infectious disease. We cannot blame people to believe that masks is a tool or barrier for them to keep safe.

Also, there are certain protocols that are needed to be followed on going outside which includes wearing mask so we cannot completely discourage people for purchasing and using masks since many are just relying the information from the experts and what they say to be the good for many will be surely followed. Wearing mask at this point of time is the most essential thing to do since we are facing a communicable disease. It is just a way for us to keep ourselves equip. Although it is not really an assurance, well at least it somehow lessen the tension on the people's panic and it is said to be proven to keep oneself away from getting the virus. Also, not just that, wearing mask and sanitation is just a step, keeping yourself healthy is also one thing needed to be considered and of course the hope that the vaccine will soon to be discovered to totally end this pandemic.
1827  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Lockdown easing - I'm back in the cafe on: July 21, 2020, 12:39:18 PM
That was good to know that after a couple of months under lockdown or community quarantine brought by the existence of pandemic, things are slowly getting back to normal but it was not literally normal to say since there are still restrictions and guidelines that are needed to be followed. Experts and government are calling this as "new normal" wherein business establishments can now do operate like on a normal set up but on a limited or minimal working capacity that will still observe social distancing and having precautionary measures to be able to get back into work to earn for a living.

This was just so good that after a couple of months of staying indoors, we can now get back to work because most of us are suffering from no work no pay basis. This would be the temporary to permanent set up that we will experience until the vaccine or cure for the virus that will end it have been discovered. Let us be contented on this setup because it is much better than getting stuck at home and doing nothing and earning nothing. Let's just think of it a usual thing but done with strict precaution for our own safety while getting productive on working.
1828  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Education State on: July 21, 2020, 11:41:38 AM
The educational state we have right now primarily relies on the technological advancement which have been triggered by the modernization we have as of the moment which have been empowered more thoroughly by the presence of the Coronavirus pandemic on which while state universities across the world are temporarily close to prevent the spread of virus and it is said that people ranging from 0-20 years old are vulnerable to get infected by the virus, which is the age bracket for people that are studying, education have been proposed to still continue with less to no face to face basis that will be basing on the existence of technological presence which means education will be held through online classes using Zoom app or any related video platform to still continue discussing lessons while pandemic is still on.

That educational state implementation proposal would be a big challenge most specially for third world countries due to lots of difficulties adapting that new platform of learning also considering the ability to have gadgets to be used for online learning and internet connection needed to acquire the capability to connect on online classes. With that, it is said that a big percentage of students will not be able to enroll this academic year if that proposal will be push through which is happening in our country. So our department of education is still seeking for lots of alternative ways possible to still maintain the quality and good education state of our country despite of the pandemic.
1829  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Coronavirus + Prisons on: July 21, 2020, 10:50:53 AM
In order to help prevent the spread of virus, medical experts as well as the World Health Organization (WHO) have mentioned a way to somehow help people to get rid of being infected aside from wearing mask is to do physical or social distancing so that potential carriers won't have physical interaction with other people since it is said that virus can be transferred through droplets and physical contact from an infected person.

But with the prison system, most specially like here in the country where I reside, jails are being crowded with lots of prisoners to think that they are likely to have the potential to spread virus because when one gets infected, so the other one will be. Recently, in one of our cities here, 300 prisoners have been infected inside the jail and the cases are getting higher as of the moment because of the situation inside that won't exhibit social distancing because of the small space alloted to be their rooms inside. But health care officials as well as the police are making way to isolate and do mass testing to detect potential carriers whether asymptomatic or symptomatic to be able not to spread the virus more evenly. It is said that setting them free won't be a solution for they are still criminals even if they are ordinary people that are prone to be infected due to their status inside the jail.
1830  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Face Mask Placebo on: July 21, 2020, 09:58:30 AM
This was a seriously shocking revelation about wearing face mask. But as we all know and what the healthcare professionals do mention that wearing face mask will serve as our barrier from foreign objects (i.e. dust, small particles, water droplets, etc) from entering our mouth as well as our nose. Since Coronavirus is said to be transferable through droplets, wearing face mask is essential to be done to at least prevent the spread of virus. It is not just a placebo effect but the reality since medical experts and decades of usage have already proved the effectivity of wearing face mask most specially when going outside. Indeed that it is not enough to just wear mask because we do also in need to follow other health precautionary measures to be able to keep ourselves from getting caught of being infected by the virus.

Face masks are our main barrier or protection from the outside but taking good care of ourselves like strengthening our immune system through taking healthy foods, heathy life style and vitamins will be more essential to keep ourselves safe all the time. Wearing a mask is also in need to take responsibility by changing it and not always using only one mask to dispose the potential virus that have been stuck on the mask you have used.
1831  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Coronavirus Outbreak on: July 20, 2020, 02:05:53 AM
Now the Coronavirus outbreak have already reached every edge of the world in different nation and many countries have already struggling to control the spread of virus into the extent of what they can do. The infectious disease is really fast spreading that even with the existence of community quarantine, still many people are still getting infected making the number of cases in the world rise up continuously but we can say that it is getting slow as of the moment.

This pandemic have brought both positive and negative effects but what people can see dominantly is the negative effects which brought dead, loss of job, food shortage and other related stuffs. The only thing that can end this is the discovery of the vaccine to totally stop this. It has already been months since this have started and what we all hope is that the discovery of the vaccine with the help and coordination of the World Health Organization and many scientists and laboratories worldwide will soon to discover the vaccine to end up this crisis and suffering.
1832  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you feel safe going outside? on: July 19, 2020, 04:52:16 PM
It is a half yes and half no. I feel safe whenever I go outside because I know that I am protected with necessary things to keep myself protected from getting the virus. I always do wear and change my face mask and even wear face shield, I have a pocket size alcohol always with me, and I even drink vitamins and eat healthy foods to keep my immunity strong. Half no because I know that even we protect ourselves that much, we are still capable of getting the virus whenever we go outside that is why I just go outside when it is really needed and I directly get into my destination fast and go home urgently to change my clothes and take a bath since I came outside so I can keep myself as well as my family safe at home.

We are all have been taking necessary precautionary measures to keep ourselves safe but while the vaccine is still not yet discovered to end up this pandemic, there would be fear to be felt whenever we go outside.

1836  Economy / Economics / Re: Government+cryptocurrencies on: July 13, 2020, 03:15:26 PM
I think the main reason why the government is against the usage of cryptocurrencies is that because they are just seeing the one side of it which is that it might promote scam related cases and that it can be harmful to the citizens of their country. They might be clearly misunderstood things out just like what we have in the country where I currently reside that is why our government is not encouraging people to use cryptocurrencies since our national bank is not supporting the usage of it and we are being stated to use it freely without being prohibited but only for our own risk

Maybe the solution for this is that we must let the government understand the pros and cons of using the cryptocurrencies and identify how we can implement the usage and adaptation of cryptocurrencies which can lessen the negative outputs being thrown against cryptocurrencies making the government disagree on using it. Once every details have been clarified and the people demand to use and adapt it, government will surely realize that there is a point why people are pushing it through to use cryptocurrencies that can be beneficial for both sides.
1837  Economy / Economics / Re: Is global adoption of Bitcoin possible post-Covid? on: July 13, 2020, 01:29:11 PM
The global adaption of Bitcoin after this covid-19 pandemic might be possible if and only if all are capable to adapt usage and if the government of each and every country will allow the legal usage and adaptation of Bitcoin. We all know that there are countries who prohibit using cryptocurrencies even Bitcoin because of their own valid reasons stated by their governments. But if the government of different countries have come into realization that using and adapting Bitcoin will be beneficial for cases like this, it can be possible that the world will adapt using it for good. As of now, what we need to put more focus is first the solution we can attain at this very point of time and then maybe at the right moment, people will realize the importance of using cryptocurrencies most specially Bitcoin so that if ever another thing like this Pandemic would happen once again, (which must no happen as much as possible) then we already have cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) to rely on.
1838  Economy / Economics / Re: The Covid19 Curve is Flattening on: July 13, 2020, 12:39:52 PM
It has been about three months that the global economy was hard hit with disruption that had not been experience in a long time.
Even the 1929 economic depression does not have negative impacts as the covid-19 economic impact.

Some of the effects of the Covid-19 affected both individuals and businesses. To individuals here are the effects;
1.Loss of livelihood as a result of loss of jobs.
2.Loss of lives. Those that died as a result of the Covid-19 infection.
3.Social Distance. There is a ban on freedom of movement.
4.Threat of everyone to everyone.

To businesses, some went bankrupt even some governments had to run to the UN and IMF for aids.
Most economies are re-opening and businesses are now operating partially.

The question is this; what will happened to the global economy if there is a spike in the spread of covid19 again ?

If the spread of covid-19 will spike once again, we can expect that worst things might happen once again such as economic crisis on which we are still not yet fully recovered since the economy is just still slowly opening up to somehow lift up the economic state from its continuous declination brought by the quarantine caused by this pandemic that pushes people to stay at home and closes business establishments for a temporary to permanent time .

For sure that once the covid-19 infection rate strikes up once again, there could be a lot more numbers of death poll to be stated and it is an awful truth that we must wish not to happen. As of the moment, there are countries that have claimed to be covid free on which there is no infectious rate that have been recorded for a span of time but still there are countries where the infectious rate is still rising so the global economy is still affected because of lack of man power working to have a production of goods and services needed to lift up the economy.

Good thing that the latest news of Russia's discovery of the very first covid-19 vaccine that has already finished the final stage trial lifts up our hopes that this pandemic will soon to come to its end.
1839  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy after COVID-19 on: July 13, 2020, 11:47:18 AM

How do you think the economy will be after COVID-19's demise? Will it gradually recover? Or will it stay the same? Will central banks collapse to a point where only people transact with decentralized cryptocurrencies in the free world? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley

The economy will recover with a different approach and it is with the help of modern technology I guess because with this pandemic, we have been relying more into using online banking, online selling (shopping) on which it have already become part of our daily lives with months of quarantine we have due to this pandemic. The economy will gradually recover and that is for sure but it will just have to take a slow recovery for there are lots of things that are needed to be fixed to fully get back into the normal situation.

Good thing that based on the recent news I have read while scrolling my social media, Russia have already done the final trial for the first ever Covid-19 vaccine that I hope be the cure for this infectious disease and will let this pandemic come to its end. Maybe once this vaccine have been proven to be effective, we can say that the economy will be ready to be worked out to a recovery stage that I hope to happen very soon.

Even if there is still pandemic, we can still work on to the recovery following the "new normal" set up with the help of the modern technology so we can still continue the work on helping our economy recover even on a slow phase for now.
1840  Economy / Economics / Re: Very strange most people like to buy with bitcoin , but using altcoins very few on: July 12, 2020, 04:32:40 PM
It doesn't sound strange for me anymore because at the first place, people have really known Bitcoin for so long and even newbies that have gotten on this industry have first introduced on Bitcoin as their first cryptocurrency to must have. Undoubtedly with the popularity that Bitcoin have, no wonder why people tend to buy more Bitcoin compared to other cryptocurrencies which are the Altcoins.

Also, it doesn't look strange anymore because we all do already know that Bitcoin usage and circulation are incomparable to what Altcoins do possess and the reputation of Bitcoin is what stands in front that's why people will most likely purchase and use it more than Altcoins. Although there really are plenty of good Altcoins, the decision will be dependent on the individual on which cryptocurrency he is more comfortable using with.
