1901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need your help guys! on: May 15, 2020, 06:27:53 AM
My sister wants to invest into this project: https://www.dxrcointrade.com/ but for me it looks like a scam... can you guys help me get redflags? what you guys think?

It is an obvious scam project even by just taking a first glance. Good thing that you seek attention and advice from the members of the forum because it will be just a regretful decision to be made once you have already got invested into that project. Better try to look for a more reliable and legible project. It is such an honor to help a mate not to fall for such scheme. Also, before deciding to invest in any project, be sure to do thorough research about the project first because the one you have attached looks really suspicious for the reason that you cannot find any good information about it to state if it is a good project so it can already be considered a scam. Better tell your sister not to fall easily into a good looking project because not all good looking projects are trusted. Doing researching will literally save you from getting engage into poor and scam projects.
1902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Trust a Project Announce BY A Legendary Member on: May 15, 2020, 05:11:56 AM
It depends. Having a Legendary rank in this forum has a great reputation to be cared with so there is a great responsibility for them to only state the truth but as a responsible individual since we are the ones who will be participating into that project, it is duly our responsibility to still check the project by doing thorough research about it. It does not mean that because a Legendary member advertises it is it will already be credible to be trusted because remember, the project is the one we must take into check and not the one who have advertises it. Well, any rank can advertise a trusted project and for us to assure, it will be our duty to still check the project so that no one will be pointed finger with and be blame. Maybe it become a one factor on choosing a project but still the last decision and necessary actions must be done by us who wanted to join and be part of the project.
1903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The market does not respect anyone on: May 15, 2020, 03:57:26 AM
While trading, you need to understand that the market does not respect any one either you are a whale or you trade with little capital.

Always look at the bigger chunks of the market and maintain a balance in trade.

Yes that was totally true. The market we have do really respect no one specially we are into cryptocurrency wherein the market undergo volatility in any moment of time. But basically, the ones who are not really being gained respect are the small capitalist having small capital being inputted for trading in the market. Whales do not encounter any problem when it comes to market behavior for they are the ones having big contribution on the changes in the prices of the cryptocurrencies in the market that is why many people do state that whales are the main manipulators of the market. Respect is not guaranteed in the market we have because change is inevitable in here.
1904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cheating or Not? on: May 15, 2020, 03:28:11 AM
Cheating or NOT Cheating?

Coming from altcoinstalk forum I've experience few projects going against their own rules like saying on promotion page that no KYC will be required and after promotion ends they tell promoters to go and open account on an exchange and pass KYC, what can this be called? Cheating? Any consequences for such projects on this forum? Thank you.

It will not be considered as cheating as long as the project details posted by the campaign manager stated that "we have the rights to change the project details anytime" because sudden changes do really happen within the span of project promotion due to some reasons that is discussed between the project team and the campaign manager. You should always be aware that changes can do happen so always check up the project details every time. Reading all the project details must be done so that you are aware of whatever will happen. But it might come to think that somehow it can be considered cheating once changes happen without prior notice and at the very end of the campaign but the rules are being set by the team and the manager so they do have the rights to create sudden changes. We must just be keep in touch so that we can be updated in any unexpected changes.
1905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto casinos pros and cons on: May 14, 2020, 11:18:08 PM
Playing on a crypto casino do really have a pros and cons but that will depend on the individual since he is the one playing on it. But for me, at times like this, we can witness the pros of using crypto casino for (1) it obviously promotes crypto usage which enables people to adapt cryptocurrency usage. (2) crypto casino provides convenient gaming experience specially at times like this that we are in a pandemic and casinos are temporarily closed because of the implementing lockdown. I think the cons of crypto casino varies on every individual but I think the most common issue whether it is crypto gambling or using fiat is the case of being addicted which can be resolved by having self-discipline and self-control. Anything do always have bad sides but that will only depend on the perception of every individual.
1906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to be invested in Crypto while staying away from gambling? on: May 14, 2020, 10:32:31 PM
I've been around the crypto scene since pre 2013 pump. Been around blackcoin pumps, pinkcoin pumps (all the color coin pumps), all the country-coin pumps (remember those?), every shitcoin known to man.

I even knew about ethereum (commented on page 4 or 5 on their announcement thread) and was a huge believer in the project. .....but instead of sending btc to their ICO site on a summer day in 2014, I sent it to nitrogen sports with the intention of making more btc to send to their ICO.

Throughout the years, I've done similar things with various alts: Monero, dark-coin (DASH), Cardano, you name it. I had them with hopes of holding onto them to watch their value grow...but couldn't...and gambled it away with 3AM challenger tennis, random soccer matches, or baseball over/unders (though, when I go on a binge, I actually start off pretty damn well, but get tilted the moment I lose a few times).

I'm a big believer in the crypto space but it's difficult for me to hold coins without gambling. The thing is, I have no issue controlling myself when I don't hold crypto. I could go to a casino or wherever and not have any urge to bet with fiat. Idk what it is about cryptocurrency. I just get so into certain coins that I want to make more so that I can get a bigger stack to hodl...but then by trying to get more the quick way, I lose it all.

Anyone feel similar?

How do you combat the urge to gamble with your cryptocurrency?

That would be easy to be resolved. It will be just about your self-control and setting your goal with regards to the usage of your cryptocurrencies in your life. Once you have already know your goal and have set the usage of your cryptocurrencies, then it would be easy for you to invest in cryptocurrency while staying away from gambling. Playing and engaging into gambling is a matter of choice. There is nothing wrong in playing gambling as long as you know your limitations and know how to handle your cryptocurrencies. If you are having problem holding your cryptocurrencies because you are being tempted to always play in gambling using your cryptocurrencies, then why not look for something you think is worthy to spend your cryptocurrencies with. It is like diverting your attention into something to somehow forget the other thing that you have a hard time managing about. Only you can totally help yourself with that problem. Again, there is nothing wrong on playing gambling using crypto as long as you know your limitations.
1907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Vaccine against Covid-19 should be made before sports events will take place? on: May 14, 2020, 10:01:46 PM
Most sports events are halted, suspended, postponed, and canceled because of the pandemic virus for about to 1-2 months now. Within that short period, the damage is serious so I can't imagine if it will take a year or over.

Seen several posts here about the vaccine that should be made first before resuming. It makes sense and the best thing to do but providing the timeframe of creating a vaccine against Covid-19 that might take a year(s), is the world can afford to wait for that vaccine?

So what do you think?

a) wait for the vaccine even it will take years, end of the discussion

b) resume slowly with several considerations such as no audience, limited number of staffs or any important things to do before considering resuming, unless the area or place was heavily affected

Since it's almost impossible to expect a vaccine until the end of the year or maybe the 3rd quarter of the next year, I will go with B but with lots of considerations (But I'm hoping I'm wrong. We all want the vaccine and experts around the world are truly working hard for it).

Both choices can be a good one. But if people would really insist that sports events must already take place specially for those that are claimed or have proven to have less or no cases of the virus, the option B will be a great choice because there really is a point that we cannot wait for much longer for the vaccine before we can operate or make things work because it will kill people not because of the virus but because of hunger brought by unemployment. If the government have already allowed industries concerning the operation on food and other essential goods to operate with limited man power or limit the capacity of workers to exhibit proper social distancing, then it might be the same thing to be applied for sports events to take place. We must do alternative ways to make our economy be working because if we will just wait for the vaccine, then it will take too much time before we can be able to work things out. What we just need to do it to have some restrictions that is concern for the sake of people not to spread the virus.
1908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a professional gambler on your own way. on: May 14, 2020, 08:05:09 PM
Well, I guess every professional gamblers we do know today have also started from scratch and have learned their strategies or how they will cope up into circumstances throughout the journey from the experiences they have which basically composes of losses and wins but more of losses I think since experiencing loss and mistakes makes us realize or learn something that makes us a better individual which we can do apply on being a professional gambler ourselves. We must not compare ourselves into the latest professional gamblers we do know because we are all unique in our own ways and we can also be a popular and well-known gamblers by just being ourselves because playing gambling and winning it does not make it only a day unless you were really that lucky. The point is that we can all be professional gamblers by doing the thing we know that will be good or helpful to us for being a good and professional gamblers on our own ways.
1909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why there are so many people who get addicted on gambling? on: May 14, 2020, 07:31:07 PM
People do possess their own reasons why they choose to get addicted into playing gambling. Maybe there is a tingling sensation inside of them whenever they tend to play gambling which makes them wanting more. Maybe there could be just reasons like they have the urge to try retrieving or winning back what they have loss while playing and that leads them to turns out to get addicted on playing gambling. Others might have get into greed of wanting more that enough and they see playing gambling as an outlet to set themselves free. We cannot totally state or conclude that a person do share only a single reason why they get addicted on playing gambling because all have their own unique reasons why they have ended into such situation. What they have been in common is that they did not resist and fall out on getting addicted into playing gambling which supposedly you need to have a control since it is just a game that people play and must not let the game control you so that you can still have the strength to resist being addicted on it.
1910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Enhanced restriction in gambling casinos is it possible on: May 14, 2020, 03:11:37 PM
There are boxing events that are being held, there are talks that some sporting events are going to push through with enhanced restrictions, is it possible with gambling casinos, of course, you can play a slot machine on your own, they just need spacing on every slot machine, on roulette games they can install glasses to avoid every bettor coming near to each, other so are on the other games .

Do you think it's possible for gambling casinos to open now with enhanced restriction and customized set up, what do you think ?

It can be possible because people will surely do know that there is still a threat in their health if they will not go into a right distance to avoid the spread of virus now that the pandemic is still on and there is still no cure for it. Surely, people are still afraid for a bad thing to happen so I think it can be possible to let people get into a right distance well of course with the guidance of staffs and personnel to make things work. But, there will surely be a change on the environment specially playing in a casino that usually being gathered by massive number of people, and now that the allowed capacity will be in control to avoid the spread of virus, then there will be a change on the ambiance of the game place. But that will be considered to become a "new normal" while there is still no cure for the virus. Certain restrictions must be implemented so that there will be no further bad effects to happen if gamblers really insist to play in a casino, then they must obey the enhanced restrictions just to make sure everything will be under control.
1911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why there are no Stable coin gambling sites? on: May 14, 2020, 02:30:55 PM
I am not an expert on this field, but probably because most of casinos can't operate with fiat due legislation and they are "forced" to use crypto currency. Legally speaking Stable coins have a TOS (Terms of Service) and probably gambling isn't an usage that they don't allow.

So that maybe the main reason why commonly gambling sited just uses cryptocurrencies instead of stable coins. After all, the OP have a good point that why there is no gambling sites that uses stable coins for playing. This information you have said brings my mind into enlightenment. Well, I have already been playing into gambling sites using cryptocurrencies even before and the question have also bumped into my mind, then at least for now I have already know that there are also certain legalities that are needed to be considered. Although stable coins would be a lot more easier to be used, but the request for it to be done will just undergo certain complexities so we just need to stick on using cryptocurrencies since we have already been using it for a little while now.
1912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some People Cannot Stop The Urge To Sports Betting And Gamble Even In Pandemic on: May 13, 2020, 11:15:03 PM
A gambler will always find a way and means to gamble, here in our country you cannot stop some gamblers from gambling they will always find ways, our government is giving a dole out and implementing amelioration to those people who are badly in need of money, but unfortunately, there are people who receive dole out from the government and receiver of amelioration, gamble the money they received and bet cockfighting and card games, so many of these people are caught and reported on the media.

You really cannot gambler they always find a way even in the worst-case situation like the pandemic, how about in your country do you have some people who cannot stopped to gamble even when your country is in lockdown

It is a sad matter that instead of using the money that they have received from the government to buy goods and necessities to survive this pandemic they have still the guts to use the money to gambling. That was really an irresponsible usage of money because if you were an individual that really do not have money and have given a chance to have one but chooses to use it into unnecessary things, then you can be considered to be out of your mind. I have also heard and read some news that the money obtained from the amelioration program are not just used for gambling but also for buying illegal drugs. Got to think of it, in this situation wherein pandemic is still on and people do not certainly have job to get money, still there are people who chooses to gamble and possess illegal drugs using the money that comes from the government that should serve as a help to survive this pandemic. Such an awful mindset some people do have even at this time of crisis.
1913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did Covid-19 affect crypto gambling? on: May 13, 2020, 10:39:31 PM
As you know, Covid-19 caused serious economic problems in the whole world, and a lot of industries got affected even indirectly, simply because people may now have less money to spend.

Do you think crypto gambling is one of such industries? Gambling is an expensive form of entertainment, and I would assume people will be gambling much less if they have lost their jobs due to lockdown. Or maybe there are some factors that counter that - like maybe crypto gamblers have deep enough pockets to sit through this quarantine and keep gambling.

What do you think? What is your experience in these times?

Right at this point of time, economic state is really being affected because of the pandemic since people are tend to stay at home so there will be no production being made to produce goods and services that brings the economic state down for this moment. Gambling is one of those who is affected and it is included on the gaming industry that also have a big contribution to the economic state of a country since it pays taxes which is where the fund of a country came from. Well, offline gambling are the ones who are directly being affected by this since casinos and sports hall (for sports bet) is temporarily closed for a while. We can say that gambling still continue in an online platform through the use of online gambling sites which enables people to conveniently play while staying indoors. It is still somehow being affected because people might tend to temporarily stop playing because of limited source of money whether crypto or stable coins because people do not have jobs as of the moment.
1914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Corona virus (COVID19) Effect in Cryptocurrency Gambling on: May 13, 2020, 08:05:15 PM
With the recent outbreak of coronavirus (covid19) lot of sports game are being cancelled/postponed especially the NBA
While, there are also lot of people from different country that starting to lock down and stay at home for home quarantine.
So,
Decrease of sports games.
Increase of people that will stay at home (probably no work/less work to do, e.g  work from home/totally no work)

So what do you think the effect of it?
Can we experience a high volume on every cryptocurrency gambling website?
Since major payments are cryptos, so need to go to any bank anymore, in short more on online transactions.

All sports events that is scheduled are all postponed and cancelled because of this pandemic which brought lockdown being implemented by the government to at least ease or lessen the spread of virus and control the number of cases that is needed to have an immediate medical care attention. With this happenings, we can expect people to stay indoors so traditional gambling which is attending on a casino and sports hall will not be seen for quite some time right now. By this, people who do really want to still continue playing gambling will surely get into engaging in online gambling sites or casinos to still experience playing while staying at home in a convenient manner. Since people are afraid to get outside, and no casinos or sports hall are allowed to operate, then people will be massively get to online gambling (that can be crypto based) themselves which will be another way to kill boredom because of the lockdown.
1915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering More or Wagering Less on: May 13, 2020, 07:17:34 PM
It's a general perception that if we gamble more, we can get more profit. Also we see gambling sites offering wagering competitions. The more you wager, you become eligible for a reward or prize money.

What's your though on this ?   Wagering more makes you win more money in gambling?

It will be a risky thought or idea to be given to everyone that the more you play gambling or the more you wage the more chances you can obtain rewards and winnings because it can totally lead someone into an idea to get addicted on striving and playing hard while he still not experiencing any wins on gambling. Gambling is a play of bet and luck and those who are lucky enough do always wins. The thought of the more you play the more you can have chance of winning is good, but not applicable for everyone because not all people have the same level of control or tolerance on playing gambling because it might just lead an individual who wants to win into getting addicted. Wagering competition on gambling sites are obviously an act for them to earn more money since it is normal for an individual to strive hard just to be able to pot that prize whatever it takes. You must always know your limits and must not exceed on it to be able to control yourself not to get addicted. It is included that on playing gambling, you must be able to have luck to win but you also need to have patience.
1916  Economy / Economics / Re: Which currency will dominate the crypto market? Please vote! on: May 13, 2020, 07:01:57 PM
With regards to which currency will dominate the crypto market, there will be no doubt that Bitcoin will be one of the people's choice since it is the most popular and well-known cryptocurrency after all. The price and technology Bitcoin together with its features and background when it comes to the capacity and capability to bounce back and grow after facing any circumstances which includes experiencing dip on its price is undeniably awesome for it have already proven itself for many times that it can still be able to dominate the whole crypto market. The next ones for me will just play along Ethereum and USD since next to Bitcoin, they were always the ones being used for trading pairs and transactions so they will be the ones next to Bitcoin when it comes to usage and can undeniably dominate crypto market.
1917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't hate long term promotions on: May 13, 2020, 09:21:25 AM
I'm here to talk about bounties with long duration, I know we all have our experience with short term bounties and long term bounties but I have come to understand that it doesn't matter, here is my own experience
Last year I promoted E3T bounty project for 4weeks duration and I earned 30$
In 2018 I promoted Airwallet for more than 14 weeks and I earned over a thousand dollar

Durations doesn't matter, small duration bounties can pay high rewards and long duration bounties can pay worse rewards, it's all vice versa, what matters is the quality of the project you promote

I agree. It doesn't really matter how long or short the duration of the promotion is, as long as the bounty project have a good quality and credibility which is also good in terms of payment, then the long wait is worth it. But many of us here are looking for fast and easiest way to earn money through getting into bounties so we cannot blame them if they will already get irritated or cannot wait any longer because of long or extending project promotion duration. But if we will just be talking about the payment, long or short duration will be good because the important thing is that you are getting paid for your work done in a fair manner. If the payment will be at a weekly basis, then long term promotion will really be a great thing to have which will be providing long term source of income. The point is that, better choose project promotion duration based on your own preference.
1918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I 'delete' useless tokens from my wallet? on: May 12, 2020, 11:00:06 PM
Is it possible to remove tokens from dead projects/tokens that are totally useless and worth $0 from my wallet? Do I just send them to a random address? I don't want to burden anyone else with those shitcoins  Cheesy

Yes you can do such thing of sending those zero value coins into any random address but you will be just making an effort and you will have to spend money to provide gas on sending it. It will be just a waste of time, effort and money. If the wallet you have just only contains those useless tokens, better be do some actions by just creating a new wallet so that you have a clean wallet and you can start from the beginning having to useless tokens in your wallet. By that way, you will be spending any amount just to get rid of your useless tokens. Wise move and decision to do such move because sending it into another address will just cost you to spend money on providing a gas for it. But if the wallet you have contains both valuable and useless tokens, better just ignore those useless tokens for they will cause you no harm at all. Better move forward not thinking of those because it is just normal to face such experience here in this industry.
1919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you newbie looking for perceive income? Just be careful of AIRDROP on: May 12, 2020, 08:02:21 PM
If you are newbie and you are looking for ways of making some  Bitcoin and other altcoin, be very CAREFUL with AIRDROP campaign as many of them out there are out to scam/milk you with the little ones at your disposal. Sometimes, they are out to get your personal information like email address, etc and sell it out for money.
Some of them will tell you to send some amount of BTC or ethereum to their address as fee for you to get the aclaimed airdrop reward of which they will later run away and mute their telegram channel.

Be warn is to be armed.

Well, airdrop is a free event to get some cryptocurrencies from a specific or certain project which is held to disseminate free cryptos so you do not have to pay for it. It will be an obvious scam in airdrop if someone will ask you to send out some Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies to be able to claim your reward because it must not be that way. Actually airdrops are safe events and can provide you assurance to have part on the distribution of coins depending on the number of participants registered on that event. It is easy to know or identify a scam airdrop once it was already asking you to send amount on a specified crypto wallet. That must be a thing that newbies need to know so that they won't get victimized by scam airdrop events.
1920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum prices may touch $250 soon so hodl on to them on: May 12, 2020, 07:37:05 PM
Ethereum had quiet a nice rally till we witnessed a minor bump in it’s prices, but for what it’s worth it also found strong resistance at $202 levels and has once again started bouncing upwards. According to this article it’s showing all the signs of crossing the $250 levels soon, and hence I feel that we should hold on to our Ethereum coins, and not rush into selling them. Furthermore when do you’ll think will Ethereum prices cross the $250 levels mark, pre or post the halving event?.

Source:

https://www.newsbtc.com/2020/05/03/ethereum-eth-gearing-for-lift-off-to-250/

https://cryptoslate.com/ethereum-2-0-launch-and-bitcoin-halving-are-2-perfect-catalysts-for-a-bull-run/

It would really be a great thing once that thing happen that the price of Ethereum will get up into rising in $250 marker. As we can observe from its recent price behavior of Ethereum in the past months, we can see that it is quite struggling to rise up or at least maintain its price in $200 marker like what we can see right now if we will be going to search on its price which have a current price at $191~$192 that is still far from the expectation of $250. It will really be a great thing to see Ethereum's price to be rising up once again since it is one of the potential coins that can be seen in the market knowing that it once pumps up massively way back 2017 and it can be considered the most popular and most used crypto next to Bitcoin. Having Ethereum's price rising will somehow bring positivity despite of the current situation we are having right now so better keep on hodling them until such time the price reaches into a desired price increase.
