2361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Exit Scam on: May 17, 2019, 03:12:51 PM
There are reason's why we need to do intensive research- thus this will happen to our investment..

Please see the article https://thenextweb.com/hardfork/2019/05/16/repux-joytoken-ico-exit-scam-8m/

I supported RepuX in its ICO run but after the crowdsale they even fooled the bounty hunters by distributing less than what they published here in this forum. At that time, I know this project will not be successful even if they got some millions into their bank account. Sad to see so many project (which got some good potential at the time they were doing crowdfunding) doing the exit scam as if they never have the responsibility to people who trusted and supported them with the money (which am sure are hard-earned). Unfortunately, it is so hard to run after these scammers and put them on justice.
2362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ebay accepts crypto? on: May 17, 2019, 02:46:20 PM
It's rumores ebay is gonna to start accepting crypto payments. Have u heard? I am glad that more e-commerce companies are starting to allow the use of cryptocurrency to pay. It can be assumed that Amazon and Ebay will develop their own cryptocurrency
These rumors having been going on forever and they won't stop now!
And because of eBay's buyer/seller protection program, cryptocurrencies don't sit well with their business model because reversals aren't possible which has to mean this remains a speculation!

I am sure that eBay can modify their platform and specifications in order to welcome bitcoin and cryptocurrencies to their marketplace that is if they want. As to reversal, maybe eBay can inform buyers that using cryptocurrency means no reversal. However, am sure many buyers will not welcome this idea because just like PayPal buyers must be protected with sellers not acting accordingly or maybe eBay can just select reliable sellers for this option and not make it available to all. Anyway, as long as there is that desire and the will solutions can always be found.

Completely agree with your statement " However, volatility is a two-edged sword...soon it is back on the game and on track to win over the $10,000 prize". This was suppose to happen and it happened fast. I predicted that Bitcoin will touch $8500 level and then correct itself to $7500. But, as we all know. it is hard to predict Cryptos. The next resistance level is $6800 -$7000, if Bitcoin can hold at that level, then I am sure it will touch $10000 very soon. Expecting Bitcoin to reach a all time high by this year end.

Many bitcoin hodlers and traders can be expecting this to happen fast and soon despite the correction that the market is undergoing right now. As what I learned in the history of bitcoin, correction can always happen and this is actually good as it can give others the time to get in with the bandwagon and have a good ride. We are spewing very positive predictions here, of course, even if we know that bitcoin can act unpredictably even if the market says otherwise. Anyway, it is always good to be positive otherwise there is no reason to be here supporting bitcoin on its bull run march.
2364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Upcoming 60 minutes segment on the Pizza guy on: May 17, 2019, 02:00:05 PM
"Meet the man who spent millions worth of bitcoin on pizza"
"You spent about $800 million on pizza?"

I just hate those clickbait headlines lmao. As if the BTC that was paid was even close to worth that much in the past.

Well, that is marketing for you and we live in the world of marketing right now and even into the future. It is actually nice that 60 Minutes is giving time for the Bitcoin Pizza Day which is all known not just within the world of cryptocurrency but even in the mainstream media. This was part of the founding stories surrounding bitcoin and can now be part of the legends as well as myths on those days (a real legendary story if I may add).
2365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Upcoming potential ICOs/IEOs on: May 17, 2019, 01:17:08 PM
Every IEO what is listed on Binance, currently Harmony takes a sale on Binance launchpad. They are focused in sharding technology, like Ethereum 2.0, but they promise deliver it before Ethereum 2.0.  Smiley

The Harmony team includes people from the Silicon Valley and they are making sure that marketing is really good as they are in partnership with Binance Launchpad. Of course, just like the usual ICO there is no guarantee here but in my opinion the Harmony project has more chance of success than others right now. I have seen some projects using the sharding technology though honestly I don't understand that much what it is. I also happen to support Quarkchain which is into sharding technology too. As in any project. due diligence is encourage and remember that any form of investment can be risky.
2366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounties with limitations pays higher rewards on: May 17, 2019, 12:56:03 PM
RESTRICTIONS AND LIMITATIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN A BOUNTY CAMPAIGN = HIGHER PAYOUTS

The limitations can be done in two ways:

1)Quantative — when a max number of participants is set and no one is allowed to join after that.

Example: Max 1000 entrants in a facebook campaign

2)Qualitative — when the requirements are raised up by the bounty managers.

Example: Minimum 500 followers to participate in an article/blogging campaign.

This can be good for some projects however there is no guarantee for this. We have to understand that the project is here for promotional purposes so the idea is the more the merrier the better because instead of limiting the number of participants they limit the number of coins/tokens at stake and qualified participants are to divide the prize at the pot. Although I would say that this can be a good option but I doubt if we can impose this idea to all projects.

So, imagine what will happen when their hundreds of millions of people will start to use it as a default payment system? They won't even need to go to exchange to buy them coins. Most of them won't even know what crypto is and yet will be using it.

The holy grail of any project is adaptation meaning that the more people who are using the platform offered to the marketplace the better is the value of the project and the price of its tokens or coins. Now, I know Appcoins because this was one of the projects I supported when ICO was still a hot cake and I believe that indeed it got a strong and professional team though I am not anymore updated with developments they are into right now.
2368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Talk about the opportunities we missed in those years? on: May 17, 2019, 12:30:31 PM
The first currency to buy is the TNB. Because it is a novice, I missed many opportunities to get rich. I want to cry without tears. When TNB is $0.015, my friend asked me to buy it. I didn’t buy it. Later, 0.1453 When I entered the market, when I went up to $0.2906, I still didn't sell it. This time I won't miss it again.

I am not into TNB and based on your story it can indeed be a good opportunity and if one was offered the chance to buy some when the price was still so low then it can indeed be a missed opportunity. With the cryptocurrency market, there are many similar stories like this yet there are also at the same time bad opportunities -- project that went kaput because the team behind are just for the money and nothing else. Of course, the most famous opportunity we might have missed is bitcoin when it was start starting but then again if I were presented with the bitcoin before I might not have take it because I could have a hard time understanding what it is.
2369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ebay accepts crypto? on: May 17, 2019, 07:34:22 AM
It's rumores ebay is gonna to start accepting crypto payments. Have u heard? I am glad that more e-commerce companies are starting to allow the use of cryptocurrency to pay. It can be assumed that Amazon and Ebay will develop their own cryptocurrency

The rumor has not yet been confirmed by the management of eBay so this is still a rumor but we are all hoping that this is true as this can be a big boost to bitcoin and the whole cryptocurrency industry. We need more and more merchants big and small to work with bitcoin incorporating it as one of their many available ways to pay. I am also suggesting that merchants should formulate their own marketing strategies to entice consumers to get bitcoin and use it in eCommerce platforms. Now, we are excitedly wishing that together with eBay another big retailing platform will be coming onboard soon...I am talking about Amazon.
2370  Economy / Speculation / RED is spreading like a wildfire on: May 17, 2019, 07:27:53 AM

Right now, the cryptocurrency marketplace is colored RED as the correction is setting in. Bitcoin lost around 10% of its price after touching the $8,000+ level the other way and is now steadying at $7,300+ for now. Other major altcoins followed the same trajectory as they also shed some   of what they gained the past few days. Interestingly, just a huge single transaction triggered this ongoing "crash" if I am allowed to use this term.

Just another turn of events confirming how volatile bitcoin and the rest of its gang is...one day we are all excited as it passed the $8K level and then soon we saw the red spreading like a big wildfire. However, volatility is a two-edged sword...soon it is back on the game and on track to win over the $10,000 prize.

I hope you can audit my Twitter account too. This is my account name: @born2askwhy. Thanks a lot and I am wishing the best for you and your family. Goodluck to any endeavor you may have here and in the greater world of cryptocurrency.

Reaudit is done  Smiley

Thank you and I wish the best to you too.

Thanks for re-auditing my Twitter account. I am actually using that account for some bounty promotions so it is quite helpful to have it re-audited from to time as many projects require updated accounts for their bounties. I am happy to have come across a free service like what you are offering here. Again, my gratitude to you and more blessings!
2372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do guys think of Kin? on: May 17, 2019, 06:50:58 AM
What do you think of Kin coin?
It seems not a good coin for me you can see the ROI from the ico price https://icodrops.com/kin/
The price of KIN always getting down and down. KIN's product is not something useful and the community is aware of that. There was another better coin than KIN. I guess why i don't like with a platform that is not creating something useful while this platform has gotten a lot of money from the crowdsale?

Kin is one coin where the dev team can be sleeping on their job. When it was introduced in 2017, Kin holds a very good promise and potential as a good coin but since then I could not think of any solid developments under their chest. Or maybe I am not informed but when a coin is not communicating to their community and the industry with its updates all the time then there must be something wrong. As in any project, working for adoption and partnership can be big keys to one's success. There is still time to catch up so let's give the people behind this coin the chance they deserve. Let's give them the pressure they need from time to time.
2373  Local / Pilipinas / Re: LEARN TO TRADE ON CRYPTOCURRENCY WITH THIS GREAT PLATFORM! on: May 17, 2019, 06:40:35 AM
Will wait for your own reviews about it, sa ngayon pagaralan ko muna ang investagram.
Yes ok din naman ang tab trader especially sa cryptos kase mas marami syang cover na coins, ang investagram kase more on stock market talaga sya pero recently nag add sila ng major cryptos sa platform nila, and hopefully mas dumami pa it para mas ok. Pag aralan lang natin ng maayos and panigurado matututo tayo, investagram is a solid platform so far.

I am already a member of this platform though I chose not be very active because the focus is really on stocks but now that they added cryptocurrency I am thinking of going back. This can be a good educational platform to make us good traders and not be a blind led by another blind. Panahon na para matuto at kumita ng pera gamit ang ibat-ibang pamamaraang napatunayang makakatulong sa atin. Investgram is emerging as one of the best learning platform we can take advantage us.
2374  Economy / Speculation / Re: Amount of scam icos will rise again to the whole new level imho on: May 17, 2019, 06:20:53 AM
Nope, ICOs are dead and they will never return to their 2017 fame. However, the scammers are always sneaky and clever in finding other ways to create scammy "crowdfunding" crypto projects and HYIP pyramids. It has been  proven a long time ago that the stupid people will always lose their money in the end, with or without crypto scams and ICOs.

There is no question that the crowdfunding platform called as ICO has already lost its luster, credibility and viability after all the scams and failures that exploded in 2018 and 2018. Now, the investing public is looking for a more secure and safer arrangement. Towards the end of 2018, there are those who floated the STO option as a means to get back investors back to the game. Right now, many projects are doing the IEO thing or similar offering by doing it with exchanges which has become attractive for the many since the coin/token can easily be traded right away. While I strongly believe in crowdfunding using cryptocurrency and the blockchain, there must be security and protection in check especially in favor of the buying public. We can never continue on believing that token buyers will just close their eyes and let go the scams without hurting the very industry we are in. Yes, there is a chance that many scams can be coming since bitcoin is having a bull run. Scammers can detect when people will be more interested and can be easily swayed to agree with their projects. We have to be careful.
2375  Economy / Economics / Re: A Tale of Two Socialisms on: May 17, 2019, 06:09:34 AM
While various countries have come close, no country can boast of being a purely capitalist or socialist country, not in the purest form anyway. There are aspects of socialism in capitalist countries and there is enough evidence of the price mechanism at work in socialist countries. l do agree with some of the points you make, but the conclusion is overly simplistic. NO, true power doesn't lie behind the barrel of a gun. This was the thinking behind to race to amass weapons in the 70s and 80s, but going by that the USSR would still be existing. l could go on, but you get the drift.

Power can be amassed behind the barrel of the gun but it will not last for too long as people will realize that the real power is with them and there can be the time when people will use that power against the very government that they assume should be protecting them. Capitalism and democracy can be considered as bad systems but the problem is that many other contender ideas can't be considered as better alternatives. There are actually good ideas for governance but when they are applied human nature gets in the way leading to massive failures. We saw this with the communism in the 70s and 80s. In the end, there is no perfect system it is how we use the system that matters most. In addition, the end should not be used to justify the means.
2376  Economy / Economics / Re: Price of goods goes up, salary never goes up!!! on: May 17, 2019, 05:34:39 AM

Over the past 30 years, salary never goes up, I know because I saw the salary today is same as my first salary 30 years ago, I’m not disclosing my age, so don’t be too paranoia, but the price of everything goes up thru the roof, the only person who salary goes up are (ikr, salary must kept secret because it is case sensitive, don’t tell anyone else!), ok, enough rant! Try to tell your kids to work for a salary in the future, I think they could barely afford a piece of beard!!

This is the power of inflation eating into the purchasing power of us ordinary citizens of the land. Sadly, this is one issue that is hard to discuss especially with ordinary consumers like us who are living on standard wages. This is the reason why we should be entrepreneurial and not just rely heavily on one stream of income. As there is nothing we can do to dramatically increase the fixed wages we are receiving, we are free to indulge in any income-generating activities that can pour some more income to our wallet. This is one area actually that many are thinking bitcoin can help but because based on its history it can be a good investment tool to protect the wealth we have generated...or so I am assuming.
2377  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin In 2030 on: May 17, 2019, 05:23:04 AM
2030... That's so far in the future it is impossible to predict for a fast-moving market like crypto.
I think society will have changed a lot by that point, and a big part of that will be due to the integration of crypto into everyday life.

I am expecting that bitcoin can be truly widespread more than 10 years from now. The cryptocurrency marketplace is fast changing but I am staking that bitcoin will be here to stay though am sure there would be innovations that it will adopt. There no stopping for the blockchain and cryptocurrency as they are now certified game-changer and many industries are already looking on how they can take advantage of these platforms leading for them to mature and be adopted by the mainstream. Of course, the way to get there can be bumpy with many challenges left and right along the way but these can make bitcoin just be stronger, better and definitely more expensive. We are looking forward for bitcoin to reach a million dollar in 2030 and I hope am not just daydreaming.
2378  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where's FOMO at? Tom Lee on: May 17, 2019, 05:01:27 AM
LOL, Tom Lee is permabull so what do you expect? I wouldn't vote neither or any of the choices.  There will be FOMO at different stages as the price increase as well. But I guess FOMO had died down in the last couple of days though, the price goes and settled around $8000 now. But there will be FOMO that's for sure, when the price started to pick up again and run up to $10000.

Yes, FOMO can exist at all levels even when bitcoin was just around $4,000 but maybe there was no critical number of people yet at that level that is why FOMO was not yet heard at that time. I am actually amazed that FOMO has not yet became a popular term in this bull run relative to what happened in 2017. Maybe we are now having a little bit different and more mature cryptocurrency players than in the past so people can not anymore be swayed that easily...and maybe this can be a good sign of more stable things to come with this marketplace. I am guessing that FOMO can be more visible once bitcoin can go as high as $15,000 and beyond.
2379  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 17, 2019, 04:55:20 AM

Amazon went public 22 years ago today. A $1k investment would be worth $1.2M today. Bitcoin is only 10 years old. A $1k investment would be worth $2.6 BILLION today. The new financial system is creating generational wealth for many people. 🔥

It is indeed amazing what bitcoin is doing in creating wealth for people who were so lucky to have entered it at the right time and just hold it for the last 10 years. I am now wondering how many millionaires and even billionaires were created with holding and trading bitcoin so far. Looking into the future, we can be sure that bitcoin is definitely here to stay and will even be more potent in pushing wealth to more people as long as they will continue to believe with it. Though it remains to be a very volatile investment instrument, the opportunity is very attractive especially for many who are risk-takers.
2380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Fake or genuine ? on: May 17, 2019, 04:46:26 AM
Hi, I saw various numbers in Google which they called them-self bitcoin Technical support team. Are they fake or they took franchise from Bitcoin ? Let me know.

Thanks

They're fake. Bitcoin has no "Helpline", as there is no "bitcoin" entity. If you want to know something, google it &/or use Bitcoin Stackexchange/Bitcointalk/et al. Otherwise you can contact certain companies that offer help, but those aren't the ones that "own" BTC so to speak. Be wary of giving sensitive info out though, especially if it's a relatively unknown company.

There is no such thing as bitcoin franchise unless it is coming from a company or business that appropriated the name bitcoin and add it to their existing name. As bitcoin is a decentralized platform, there is no official entity or group of people behind it just like what we can see in companies like Visa, MasterCard, JP Morgan or similar platforms. We have to be careful because there are so many creative people who can disguise pretending to be representing this and that but are actually just scammers all ready to punch anyone just new to this industry.
