I'm still trying to learn more but I will like to keep sharing what I know, newbies if FED can gain access to billions of assets through hacking cloud storage why do you still believe that storing your keys and phrases in email account and cloud storage is safe? Read the article below

https[Suspicious link removed]cuted-the-largest-financial-seizure-in-history-for-3-6-billion-in-btc-6533dc00244

If you are planning to do this please erase this idea from your mind and if you already did please get rid of your keys from online, private keys and recovery seeds are safer offline than online, if you can afford to invest 200$ on ward on BTC you can afford a ledger hardware wallet or use the old skool style, carving your seed on steel.
Yet, it was very common to us that we don't care much about how to keep our seeds phrases and passwords until the time that we experience getting hacked and realizing our wrong practice. Now as we get an idea of how to keep our funds safe we should have to follow this before unwanted trespasses will happen. As we are investing and storing coins in our wallets the more we should prioritize this thing or else, we are giving the way these hackers will control our wallets.
2382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Gonzalez vs Martinez on: February 25, 2022, 12:14:08 PM
The thing is that Martinez is moving up in weight, so the question is, can he bring his power to this division? I highly doubt it so I'm not seeing him knocking out Gonzalez even if he is old and could be out of prime. Martinez just grab this fight because it's a perfect opportunity for him, but it could backfire if he losses this one. And if he losses the fight, what will happen to his unification fight with Sunny Edwards? Big gamble on his part for accepting it, but we will see.
I guess has you have said, the opportunity is there so why not grab it and see how it goes for him?
He seems to be too confident if he says he can knock out Gonzalez because no one has yet beaten him by knockout. So I don't think that Martinez has something specially in him that he can just do it to the great Gonzalez. On the contrary, he could be the one getting knock out here for all we know.

There are some circumstances where the replacement dominated the favorite one of this is the Ugas - Pacquiao, Ugas the replacement beat Pacquiao by unanimous decision, and everyone was caught by surprised, Gonzalez should not underestimate Martinez he still has time to adapt his strategy to Martinez style, if Gonzalez plays it right he can beat Martinez and we can have the trilogy in the future.

Gonzalez have seen it all, so I don't think that because he will be facing Martinez he will be underestimating him. On the contrary, he might really train hard for this fight because he doesn't want to get upset by someone. And if Martinez wins then probably we will not see the trilogy anymore as Gonzalez might retire for good.

The truth is that Gonzalez would be a shame if he retired from Boxing, as you say, if those events happen, there is no possibility that this trilogy could happen? there are many events that have happened this year in boxing, Tyson not fighting, the problem that occurred with some boxers, the long-awaited GGG vs Murata fight, the problem with Myweather with the money that was not paid to his opponent, I see that many things have escaped the boxing federation worldwide, and I think that the pandemic has a lot to do with this.

Pandemic is one of the factors that affected the profitability of the fight, but as the crowd is already allowed to watch the boxing fight, the boxing entertainment industry will be able to recover and the opportunity to make a big bucks is going to be present again, timing is very important as of course no promoter would promote a fight if they will not make money from their investment.
2383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 25, 2022, 11:25:48 AM
Looks like Blackwater's losing streak will still be active tonight, they are currently playing against Ginebra and the lead of Ginebra is very huge, for sure Blackwater won't be able to have a huge comeback in the 4th quarter.

Anyone knows the total losing streak of Blackwater already?
2384  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Discussion about holding BTC over alt on: February 24, 2022, 11:36:19 PM
Will you rather hold BTC instead of altcoins for years to come? If BTC is where the real money is why did Elon musk go after Doge instead of BTC? Past influencers and billionaires ignored BTC and hyped alt instead, what am I missing?.
He can't manipulate Bitcoin that is the truth and having Doge in his control, the more profit he could generate from innocent people. They'll come choosing altcoins and many known personalities were of the same purpose. But look how this ruins the reputation of Elon Musk in here coz those who hear about him will surely not trust him anymore.
I hold BTC and a few altcoins, but not Dogecoin. I can't live in a hype project like Doge and choosing altcoins for long-term holding must be chosen wisely, not because of someone like Elon Musk have said.
2385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 24, 2022, 12:16:06 PM
And the regular season games are on again tonight! Brooklyn Nets - Boston Celtics game is the most attention getting one in my opinion. Their win and loss statistics are similar to each other but I won't be saying the same thing for the performances recently. Nets are having a problematic period of time these days while Celtic are doing superb things. Here in this game, Celtics are going to be the closest team to win certainly. But maybe Nets might surprise us and defeat Celtics by a slight gap.
Will KD already available in this game? If he will play then for sure the Nets have a decent chance of winning, also, I like to see Simmons playing with the team already, I guess his vacation is enough already, he need to be in the court and contribute for the team.

As far as I know, he is not coming back before March 3. He is a huge loss for the team now because they need a player to carry the team now. And of course, they shouldn't depend on one player. I didn't mean that. They just need a big score contribution to the team to start winning regularly again. And when it comes to tonight's game, I see no chance for Nets. I don't think Celtics would lose this game while they are in-form this much. Maybe it could be a win by a close margin though.

We don't know when he will return but we have a good news coming from Steve Nash.

NBA rumors: Steve Nash: Kevin Durant closer to return than Ben Simmons

We know that the Nets badly need him, but they cannot force him to return as it might aggravate the injury.
Just like KT, it needs time to fully recover and be back 100% .

Game ended, 101-103, Northport beat the Magnolia.

This NP team is really a good team, sometimes they just fall short and loss the game but they can really compete with good teams in the PBA. Arwin Santos is still not getting old, he played well in this game and contributed for the win, don't know why SMB let him go.

NLEX continues to roll while SMB are on their 2 losing streak as well.

Slowly, SMB is climbing to the ladder and they are dangerous when they are already winning games because they'll become more consistent.
As of this writing, here are the standing.

1- Magnolia 6-0 (undefeated)
2- Meralco
3- NLEX

Pick for the day:

Bolts -5.5 @1.91 vs ROS, Bishop and company will bounce back against ROS.
Beermen vs Kings, no odds yet but will bet on the Beermen once the market/odds for this game is open.

I like the Bolts -5.5, they definitely bounce back but I would stay away on the 2nd game Beermen and Kings as it's hard to decide since both teams really need a win. If at some point I will change my decision, I guess I'm going with the Ginebra Kings as Brownlee is still my favorite import.
Bolts will surely win on this, I’m confident on this one. Ginebra really have to win since they are still at the bottom, Brown Lee should get the help he needed from his team so they can back on track, I’ll go for Ginebra as well because I still believe on them so they should do better this time and waste no opportunity to take a win.

The game has already started and Bolts are behind a bit, but I'm sure they'll carve their way to win and cover the spread. ROS is not a bad team, but the import of the Bolts is quite better than ROS import and he makes the team better, so I'm sticking with my pick and remain hopeful for a win.

Well, on the 3rd quarter already and Meralco is still trailing. Best of luck to you, it doesn't look good for me, looks like they'll have their 2nd straight loss if they can't come back and make it a close game to win, covering the spread is another story though as it needs a huge run to finish the game with a win.

Meralco is not done yet hehe. They are now enjoying a 9 point lead with less than 4 minutes to go.

I just hope that they will cover that 5.5 spread but with the looks of it, seems that my bet ticket has a high chance of winning.

edit: final score 93-88, Meralco Bolts won the game but did not cover my bet  Sad.

That gives a little excitement but in the end, it still broke your heart. Cheesy

That 1 point additional to the lead was suppose to give you a winner, but that's gambling, even the small point could result to a lose or a win, it's just that the luck is not on the side of the Meralco  point spread bettors.
2390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 21, 2022, 12:03:35 PM
Casimero is a champion, I think he can find a good gym to train. He is into a big fight so the team will certainly invest on that, besides, Casimero is the favorite, so most likely he will win the fight and would have a chance to fight Inoue if the monster will accept the challenge.
That's very likely. About the training, they won't just go to a place without the best gym to go to. It's all been planned and they have a game plan to follow.
We're just waiting for the day that Casimero will win against Butler. It could be hard as what the others are thinking and Butler will give him a good fight. But in the end, most of the speculations are into him favoring that he'll win this match.
I think the hardest thing here for Casimero is to get on the right weight, but about the fight, I guess he will dominate as usual. Butler is just an aggressive fighter, Casimero would not have a hard time using his timing to hurt with this counter punch, I can see that kind of scenario that's why I'm confident.
There's still enough time for him to get the right weight and I'm sure that his team is strict on it so that when the weigh day comes, there's no problem by that day.
About the possible outcome of the actual fight, we still don't know but what we're all thinking is that he's going to win the fight no matter what. And after that, maybe a few months after his fight and recovery, the next match is in.
As long as there is some expert in this team, a dietitian to control his weight and what he eats then there will be no issues. The problem is, as stated above, is that he has some problem with the financial support. He still have some time in his side though, adjust his diet and make the weight cut and rehydrate after so that he can maintain his power.
Who would support him? I think he already made money in the past and that for sure if he manages his funds properly, he will be able to prepare for this big fight. I understand that we are still in a pandemic now, but it's their responsibility to ensure that they are fully ready and therefore they have to prepare for it and do all the necessary things to achieve it.
2391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 20, 2022, 12:30:24 PM
This year's Slam dunk contest sucks and it's probably the worst in years.
Yeah, I also think that this Slam Dunk contest was the worst in the history of the NBA. I briefly watched the highlights, and it looks like the participants had a lot of failed attempts, and almost all the dunks were of the same type. I mean, a windmill dunk or a between the legs dunk don't surprise fans anymore. As a result, none of the participants received 50 points from the judges.

By the way, Shaq's reaction says it all.

No gimmicks at all, unlike in the past where they use some props to really entertain the fans. I remember the best dunk contest was when Dwight Howard and Blake Griffin won on a different season, after that, it's okay but not so impressive.
2392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook - Feb 19, 2022 on: February 20, 2022, 12:00:50 PM
I can say that Khan should retire now.
Agree, he won't be able to attract viewers because he loses in this fight, and since it's a TKO, that's worse because it's very convincing. Now, Kell brook has a chance to fight champions or probably a boxer like Keith Thurman, what do you think?
At this point, I think he is already done, he is already 35 years and old and he is not anymore as exciting as he was before. It's just unfortunate that his possible last fight in boxing is a loss, well most boxers do retire when they are already losing because they would also lose their value, only a few retired being undefeated, just like Floyd Mayweather.
2393  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is the difference between Bitcoin and Gold? on: February 20, 2022, 11:06:36 AM

There are lots of threads about Bitcoin v Gold, Gold v Bitcoin already on the forum.

It is always and no ending comparison and surely we heard this again years from now.
But I believe that everyone already knows what this Bitcoin is all about and also Gold in real life. Have nothing to do with them as to whether we like it or not, they totally different in physical matter.

Digital vs Metal, things are very obvious that we don't need to compared the two as they are in a different world, yet they are bound together in a form of investment. Well, I love to have them both...

I guess, this will gonna be an exciting fight! Amir Khan and Kell Brook are both good fighters and im sure its going to be a competitive fight for both of them.Brook is looking strong and confident. And obviously he is planning to take the fight against Khan. Although Khan has a weaker chin but he has a strong and speedy hands which Brook dont have. And maybe he has also a high chance to win against Brook. But anyway whoever wins the fight, goodluck for the both warriors. May the best man win..
I'm expecting the same,  both are veteran and they have nothing to lose because they are not anymore on their prime. All they have to do here is to give the fans the best entertainment and they'll certainly make a lot of money, and the winner will surely get good contract in the future.

This fight will be 3 days from now, have anyone put their bets already?

I'm guessing, this would not be a boring fight, and I believe that Amir Khan will not play safe and willing to risk his glass chin to look for a KO. I really like these two warriors, they seem to be fighting for the consolation price only but they are still willing to give the fans entertainment.
Kell Brook had won the fight against Amir Khan via technical knock out.
Here is the update:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbssports.com/boxing/news/amir-khan-vs-kell-brook-fight-results-highlights-brook-batters-khan-for-tko-to-complete-rivalry/amp/

A video highlight like some videos uploaded on youtube is better to watch than reading the story. And yes, Kell Brook won the fight, the bookies were right of making Kell Brook the favorite of the fight because he completely dominate Amir Khan, I can say that Khan should retire now.

Having faith in what your doing is a tool for you to succeed. Failure, bad experiences, losses, etc...that all gonna be found here but because we are aiming to reach our goal, that is why we still stand and push ourselves to the limit. No easy game in the crypto investment and so we have to be
  -patient
  -reliant to our strategy
  -continue learning

Nothing becomes impossible if we really work hard but just a piece of advice, never concentrate on how to earn big but rather to aim small first.
2397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pay for coffee with Bitcoin on: February 19, 2022, 09:26:56 PM
this is one of my dreams, which is to have a coffee shop that accepts payments with Bitcoin but what can I do, in my country Bitcoin is strictly prohibited as payment, business people who violate it will be penalized by the government and in the worst case scenario can be jailed. you are lucky enough to live in an area that is not so hard on Bitcoin, hope your business thrives.
Ohh, that was soo sad. It sometimes happens that the government is our enemy, blocking our desires and a better future. But as the use of Bitcoins is strictly prohibited, you'd better not try as surely the authorities will come to you and that can be possible to OP as well.
Maybe, if you can move to another country where Bitcoin is not prohibited and continue your dream otherwise, you will run your coffee shop accepting fiat money only.
2398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 19, 2022, 02:21:35 PM
I haven't seen a discussion between the unified 140 lbs champion Josh Taylor vs Jack Catterall.

This will happen on Feb. 26 and this is their press conference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRhANw_-_bo

Perhaps there is no hype on this fight because of the weight category, we all know that big fight is in 147 lbs. But there is a potential clash and making some noise between Crawford going down to 140 lbs again to face Josh.

It's because of Taylor's opponent, that's why there is no buzz in this fight.

I guess the better move for him is to go to 147 and test the waters if he wins this fight. Or probably wait for the 135 lbs, like Lopez moving up in weight or even Tank Davis, who already try 140 lbs and won a belt. And that's where the money is, not fighting someone that boxing fans are not familiar.

We can also tell that the fight will be one sided basing on the betting odds alone.

https://bettinginsiderjournal.com/boxing/opening-josh-taylor-vs-jack-catterall-odds-for-undisputed-championship/

Quote
Josh Taylor vs Jack Catterall Odds
Boxer   Odds
Josh Taylor   -850
Jack Catterall   +510

I'm not sure if that's the current odds now but I'm sure there's no major changes and Josh Taylor is still the heavy favorite.
2399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 19, 2022, 01:50:41 PM
There are only two days left if we count today too for the All-Star game. Team Lebron are going to be my favourite. Because the starting five is just awesome. It is full of one of the best players of this season like Giannis, Lebron, Curry, Jokic and DeRozan. They have been very good at scoring and carrying their teams so far. And I believe that they will win this all-star game by putting on a great show here. I wish that Durant returned from his injury now. And I really didn't see any meaning in choosing Andrew Wiggins for the all-star starting five at Team Durant.  Grin

I haven't checked the lineup yet but seeing DeRozan as a starter, makes me happy because finally, he got a chance to play with the greats in all-star. DeRozan has an outstanding season, he deserves to be recognized and the all-star game is just a good way to recognize him.
2400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is A Better Option Than Fiat Money? on: February 18, 2022, 05:10:26 PM
Cyptocurrency (Bitcoin, Eth etc.) is better than Fiat in many areas (decentralize, immutability, Scalability etc.). But the greatest challenge of Blockchain Technology is Volatility. Buying BTC at #60,000 today waking up tomorrow to see it at $45,000 coupled with some scam projects that are now common in the space. The above are nightmare to the industry.
If that is what you think, you'd rather choose fiat instead.
I'm in doubt of that nightmare coming to me as the volatility of the market making no deal for me as I was able to adjust to the situation but if you are not, that can be terrible.
The only thing that challenges us in using Bitcoin is its transactions delays. We would like an instant which is supposed to happen but it wasn't happening in real. As more users come, heavy network traffic will show that could even slow the process which is a need to address first prior to encouraging people to use Bitcoin over fiat.
