2381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RE-ANN] GrowthCoin PoW/PoS - 100% per year - Version 1.3.0.1 on: November 01, 2017, 04:32:59 AM
You can tell by the sell orders what's in store.  If people with less money don't get out in time that's their problem.  There are warning signs.  I personally diversify completely over about 70 coins and so it's easy for me to move in an out without much emotional difficulty.  There are about ten POS coins right now that look fair for a long time yet.  I always look at the orders all the way up on the exchanges to see if someone could crash the price.
2382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NEW! KangarooBits V2 [KGB2] - SWAP old KGB in NOVA soon! - PLEASE READ on: November 01, 2017, 04:22:45 AM
One problem is that exchanges want to see a website for the coin.  I could put something together quickly (or someone else could) that
has a domain that they host from.
2383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] <808% apr> Drop the Bass!! 17%+ eligible after 8.08+ days on: November 01, 2017, 04:16:22 AM
I added Kangeroobits2 to the voting on Tradesatoshi, someone should do that for 808.   It took about five minutes.

2384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Do you invest only or do you stake or do both? on: November 01, 2017, 12:42:29 AM
I am kind of amazed on how so many people lost money on staking bad coins and haven't been more investing in the good ones.   It seems like those who stake don't know how to invest and those who invest don't know how to stake.  I'm aware some people are completely paranoid about having a wallet on their computer.   Maybe this thread can overcome these problems and make some people richer.
2385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RE-ANN] GrowthCoin PoW/PoS - 100% per year - Version 1.3.0.1 on: November 01, 2017, 12:38:41 AM
Hopefully, more people will start to support the good POS coins that have a way to go up, now that they've lost big on so many.  I am awestruck by both the intelligence of some people in crypto and the silly hoard-following nature of others.  THIS COIN NEEDS SOME SUPPORT.
2386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: SUPERSTAKE | BUZZCOIN | SHA256d | POW/100 % MONTH POS on: October 31, 2017, 11:13:44 PM
How many coins are needed for mining PoS?

It's less than that. 10000k  is 100,000,000.  I had less than 50,000 and almost made a stake a few times but kept adding more to it which changes the maturity.  Probably 200,000 would give a stake within a week or two.

Couldn't a whale buy a high POS coin like Buzz and make a fortune? They would be getting an easy 100% return in a month or two.  There
isn't a huge sell wall on this coin for people with some money.   POS Wallets are easy to backup.

Sorry but how do I make my coins mature so that I can stake them?

You do nothing but keep your wallet open.

I submitted to Tradesatoshi.

Here is some stuff you will need to submit to exchanges:

Code:
https://github.com/kangaroobits/KangarooBitsV2

Better proofread description:

A new random staking reward coin. Superblocks every 5000 blocks with reward x10 and random superblocks   POS Reward Structure: 100-10000
10%,  10000-20000  3%, 20000-30000  5%, 30000-50000  3%, 50000-500000 5% and random 3% from then. Superblocks every 5000 blocks with reward x10 and random superblocks min reward x2 max x5 random frequency but minimum 1 superblock every 1000 blocks, block time 300 sec fast transaction reducing confirmations to minimum.  Maximum Coin Supply: 500 Million.

Would help if people backed up the code on their harddrives/backups.
2389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][COMP] Compound Coin - X11 POW/POS High APR - SWAP FROM UKC ON GOING on: October 31, 2017, 05:59:45 PM
What block are we on now?

2390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][COMP] Compound Coin - X11 POW/POS High APR - SWAP FROM UKC ON GOING on: October 31, 2017, 05:40:28 PM
Ah, so this is a coin that small stakers can't make anything on?   If you want those that can try Growthcoin, Truckcoin, Bottlecaps, Kangeroobits2,  Boat, PiggyCoin, Version, and 1337.

Note:  I think that person is wrong.  I read:

Block 1000-50000 = 250% APR
Block 50000-100000 = 500% APR
Block 100000-500000 = 250% APR

Doesn't say you need a huge amount to get those stakes.

2391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SCRYPT] Dotcoin on: October 31, 2017, 05:37:52 PM
Aside from paying for listing and sort

Whats the use for Dotcoin?

Terms deposit has been stopped right?

I thought Dotcoin was connected with Cryptopia.  What I heard was to get on Cryptopia you used Dotcoin.  Why hasn't it performed well in the last three months, since they are such a used and respected site? Do they now only want to be paid in BTC?

GoCoin looks good.  Check out the news on it.
2394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are we Seeing a pullback in ICO investments on: October 31, 2017, 04:20:39 PM
I think maybe 70% of the ICO's were either Wall Street money trying to game the Crypto market, or outright frauds, or just incompetent people.
It did throw off the business of the many of the major companies, which haven't recovered their heights since the ICOs really started in earnest in Summer of 2017.    I hope people can put their dreams and hopes in those older companies again.

2395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RE-ANN] GrowthCoin PoW/PoS - 100% per year - Version 1.3.0.1 on: October 31, 2017, 08:43:45 AM
Good work on the poll graphs.

We need more people to keep your wallet open.  It's like a money machine right now with few wallets open.  But if everyone drops off, then that means more CPU needed for each wallet open.
2396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 1337 [MANDATORY UPDATE] 20.89% APR | POS ONLY on: October 30, 2017, 11:42:03 PM
I bought a few 1337. they are definitely worth it.

Great! Join our Discord https://discord.gg/np7BmKV and earn some more by playing games, helping others, responding to events etc.

This is a great idea, people can earn some 1337 coins just for playing games. I might have a few gamer's on Twitter who might be interested in this so I'll be letting them know. Slowly 1337 coin is growing, it all takes time and I'm confident that 1337 coin will be a great gaming coin in the near future.

Note: I just saw I pasted in an old chart, it should be for $5000 BTC price, not $4000.

It's good to remember one sat isn't what it used to be.  It's gone up 5x perhaps 10x since some of us started in this.

This is roughly correct, 1 cent equals 25 satoshis.

$4           =      .0010000  BTC
$2 (200 cents)   =     .00005000  BTC
160 cents   =     .00004000  BTC
80 cents   =     .00002000  BTC
8 cents      =     .00000200  BTC
1 cent equals         25 satoshis

So, if you're staking 500 1337 a day, that's about 20 cents, or $6 a month, and I think you can do that on about a $30 investment in 1337.

Nice work on calculations.

Just wanted to point out that your math is off.
you have put one 0 on the $2 it should be .0005, not .00005
so the final score is 1 cent = 250 satoshi (@ current price ($6128) it is 163 satoshi per cent)

It seemed off, but it appeared right.  Thanks.

So, this is right:

1 cent equals .00000163
10 cents equals .00001630
$1 equals .00016300

I see making 500 1337 a day is like making about 3 cents a day at the current rate.
2397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC compared to BTG. on: October 30, 2017, 11:37:16 PM
From Bittrex Support:

"The BTG on-exchange snapshot was completed at block 491,407.

Currently there is no wallet and no public network for BTG so it is not transferable (no deposits or withdrawals). Any other exchange trading BTG is trading IOU tokens.

Makes sense since mining starts Nov 1st, need mining or POS wallets to have a blockchain.
