241  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might reach $100k before halviing. What is your exit strategy? on: March 30, 2024, 11:49:45 PM
I think its too late for halvening but as a final target its a maybe still which to me is surprising but I'm too bearish overall and I kinda know that often Im underestimating the extent and volatility range of BTC but I do it anyway.

Near term Iam not that bullish, you can see why the price action is stuck in the mud or quicksand if you are more bearish.  My general take is not so much near term conclusive but to look further out because staying this high at this price level is positive for the eventual prices much further out.   Consolidation is word Im looking for, we are building support in this higher range which is quite possibly positive long term.

You could have to wait from spring right until Autumn for something to happen and this is not an unusual outcome but almost a normal event in question there is a possibility for a drift over summer every year.  BTC is still quite an exotic asset to be straight comparing it to ancient markets in its common sayings but I imagine we are in flux with general sentiment and it could happen that way.  In any case I still don't think 100k for this year and if it did happen probably right at year end, but I always underestimate peak pricing as to my estimation 70k is quite adequate.
242  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does having children have an influence on gambling habits? on: March 30, 2024, 11:24:38 PM
You can still place timed bets before the game but live betting, playing slots or casino games might take up too much time.  I bet the majority of people preoccupied by household tasks like this take up playing the lotto or similar low key betting instead.    I dont see its any change to betting on the horses or other bets you can put on the day before a race but being busy is going to stop people listening or watching the games, races, etc. live thats the problem.

If you got kids or other big priorities you no longer have the luxury of as much free time readily available.  Thats a situation not exclusive to raising a family but a common occurrence no doubt like it or not.
243  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: March 30, 2024, 10:00:32 PM
I was just reading of 150k prediction was made 2019 based off of the overall trend in BTC, a reasonable estimate apparently.     Ultimately I'am reminded of the 20k top and the chaos that ensued before during and after that apparent good news.

I'm generally for the overall rise in BTC rather the peaks, the drama and chaos I can do without and do think it does damage and in some cases deters people perhaps forever because volatility is a negative even when it delivers mountain tops that touch space.  If we get 100k or 150k or whatever I dont think it lasts, I'd be happy enough just wandering around between here and higher prices for the next five years and I think thats more productive and conducive to business progressing with BTC.
244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: March 30, 2024, 09:37:12 PM
I was just reading Tyson must first pass medical tests before the fight can be properly scheduled as possible to go ahead.  The first test is electroencephalogram EEG which is for the brain and ensuring a normal condition ahead of the fight and the second test is for the heart which sounds more familiar, called electrocardiogram or ECG.

Both tests gives results within a day apparently so I imagine they do it quite close to the fight considering the standing risk from Tyson's age.     Also the fight I thought would be purely exhibition could be a normal 'professional' boxing match apparently with wider implications for the result, I would assume thats the less likely of the two as they will make money either way.

Jake Paul is of course treating the fight as if its all a big joke, the punchline may be more literal then he realizes and he may wake up afterwards and need explaining what just happened.   I'd appreciate that finale and if he just shut up forever after that conclusion though I doubt we get such a happy ending.

Scaremongering is definitely a thing, some reason I would take alot of what I read with a pinch of salt, even though I hope people get everything resolved of course.   The bigger the site the more potential for some percentage of error or correction showing up and its definitely a big site.  Saying its more then that is something else, Im not immediately concluding downward spiral of doom.

I had thought the BTC price action was breaking out but my theory now is it needs a working week, full open markets and a competitive bid for price to break this range.  Seems to be confined, to linger near 70k and we end the month around the end of the week also with holidays in play so I see no hope of resolution especially in this time period.   That was foreseeable, all these are calendar events I guess its worth planning and looking ahead end of April also etc.
246  Economy / Speculation / Re: are you expecting Bitcoin to hit $400,000 after the bull run. on: March 29, 2024, 11:54:45 PM
All I'm expecting is 170k is not the words I would have thought I'd be reading even at the start of this year, now its a normal idea.   Thats an indication we are within the hype phase of BTC price movements.

I would say the best estimate of the top should be derived from the base prices of the move so last years low perhaps and that'd be 16.5k.    The 170k idea is already 10x of the low and really ambitious, to say 400k would appear to be way off.  I dont think its a good idea to form an estimate while we are within the bubble unaware of our hubris.  We are in a bullish move and caught in the hype, it distorts plain clear vision and accuracy should not be expected with biased levels of speculative fervor.
247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going all in and losing the bet on: March 29, 2024, 11:37:44 PM
They dont have to rig the bets, the casino already has an advantage in their favor.  They require people to play and if they do they will profit, thats the basic requirement for a profitable operation.   If you find a place thats desperate and willing to risk their reputation and even the entire business if found out then sure its dangerous at that point but it shouldn't be the case that anywhere with customers is going to perform such a self defeating task.
248  Economy / Economics / Re: Fix the money, Fix the world. on: March 29, 2024, 10:19:09 PM
Gresham's law says bad money drives out good which in contrast to a horrible inflationary printed paper currency and BTC I think we can put them as polar opposites in good or bad appreciation to users.   However there is not just the quality question but liquidity, fungibility and a few other definitions to currency that must matter or BTC would have grown greater then it has already.

I dont see it as 'being  allowed' exactly more like a balance and iterative process which eventually causes the failure of a weak currency vs stronger more highly favored alternatives.   Applying Gresham's law here would reflect that people would rather spend Dollars and increase its monetary velocity because of its disparity from face value to actual base value, the money loses value and people would rather spend it. Ironically then people hold BTC as it can appreciate and some lament spending previous amounts rather then saving it.  In those two cases the comparison would seem to fit this ancient example of economic observation; hence we should probably study this principle for future BTC movement in a normal economic population like common coins or any monetary asset.

90% to 40% to zero silver content in the same face value dollar coins only took 6 years to occur during a period of gross over spending by government.   This failure in money is less evident now but via food prices or similar still apparent.
249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 U.S. Presidential Election Bets! on: March 28, 2024, 11:59:55 PM
Kennedy and Biden align very well apparently, he only disagrees on the anti vax stance and otherwise is definitely a democrat in policy.   I was surprised by that too because I thought he was the right wing choice with the Democrat party if that makes any sense but his actual political record reflects not a great break from Biden policies is the review I read hence it just comes down to speeches and talks.   Personal preference, sometimes people run as candidates to drum up support and gain a position within the administration, theres all levels of politics besides just being elected to the top job.

I understand why some prefer Kennedy but I dont take that as a serious option to consider, it might have been with more support but theres no appearance of that at this point.
250  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 190K in 2024? on: March 28, 2024, 11:39:55 PM
Prices are just labels, to guess at a high figure isnt about impossible really its clearly a maybe in some percentage outcome.  Its the scenario of how we must look at, for the highest prices you need all factors to swing your way.   Clearly also the high price represents inflationary pressures and excess flows, there is no need for BTC to go that high.  We have bitcoin growth but for so much in so little time we are estimating the degree of inaccuracy in some regard, whether you classify it under inflation, speculative mad markets or fear elsewhere rushing people to this asset.

I do consider these scenarios as a pan boiling over, massive bubbling up and really its a negative for a longer term gain because people will get burned.  Also business reliant in dealing in BTC find fast changing prices to be an impediment to their accurate pricing too.   I would settle for a 1/4 of this price objective and I would even call that a positive outcome to just sail along safely in a progressive way the last sell off was a bit too harsh and loses some people in their interest from that instability.
251  Economy / Economics / Re: Church Business on: March 28, 2024, 11:28:29 PM
Charity is still a business but with the aim of not making profits but distributing all receivables.  The definition for all these activities, private jets and luxury so on should be that it aligns with government policy to help the poor etc.   If a company like these are essentially does not justify their tax free status then they lose  it.

Thats fair to all and clearly observable and see through as per the tax returns for that company/organization/charity.  If you give people tax breaks for anything really we see them rush to it, sometimes destructively.

He is the Atlas which holds our world up, upon his shoulders we are stood and surely will fall if he shall falter Shocked     We know or 'definitely'   might be to over state the case slightly when we dont know we guess and many are motivated to guess negatively on any rivals prospects etc.

Campaign signature I dont take as an indicator, thats advertising not a means of production, its not a vital cog  Grin  Isnt that 'news' just a case of campaign funds need renewal hence it has paused, that happens every week to one campaign or another.  Everyone here is a gambler on prospective outcomes, I guess its a given we'll speculate away on the what ifs.   We are all gamblers on this game.

BTC is resolving positively but not above 71k so its slow and sideways until indicating 'definitely' otherwise Cheesy  I'm reading it as positive acting though its also true we have sat here or nearby for whole of March seems like.
253  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for March on: March 27, 2024, 11:59:35 PM
Sideways is the name of the game for March, its done that and kept a range pretty much the whole time.  No need to think differently right now, sideways is not a negative and I take it as a positive further out as it brings volume to all these prices which will help give a foothold in future attempts to move higher.

We could have lost this pricing around the middle of the month and it didnt happen so vs that negative breakout or breakdown in the range I find we have acted positively despite only holding in this area.   Gaining alot and just hanging is far better then the reversal that can easily happen especially with fast gains like this year surely must be classed as.
254  Economy / Economics / Re: Everything is over priced but people keep spending on: March 27, 2024, 11:50:15 PM
Supply should adjust to greater pricing unless the value is lacking also, the ability to create more of each crop required should be possible if the money justifies that course.   The main deal with food and commodities overall is the spike in demand short term which is where nobody can meet the amount of supply required for that demand, often that occurs with a poor harvest like Chocolate has this effect currently I think.
255  Economy / Speculation / Re: If you had bought the previous ATH you're on profit on: March 27, 2024, 11:39:38 PM
People definitely will day trade Bitcoin especially now ETF allows very easy access right across the markets.   Thats quite possible, its just a question of skill knowing when a break or run in the price is going to happen and worth the risk of entering the trade with a stop loss for when you are wrong.
Every entry short term has a cost in terms of risk and losses possible and there is always some who are willing to take that risk and gain multiples of their leveraged stake thats a daily gamble they take across multiple assets.  Theres no reason BTC cant be one of the markets that responds positively or negatively to overall market news and sentiment

He might just be on holiday, as a veteran of customer services and tech support time served in the trenches and PTSD for life from it I can appreciate people need to not always be on the front lines vs the avalanche of stuff that must crop up.

Lambo is 11 days, too far and I wont kid myself of maybe winning though it'd be nice its a wide open contest.  I was only routing for the little guy in general as a maybe but who knows.   Trying to remember previously there was GT tickets for deposits I remember and so maybe its not different enough from that to be an especially different result.

5 days is end of month and for that bet I find the wavering back and forth more interesting for the moment, if it ends like this I win but really just break even as its a fairly normal result.  69.5k >  or over stay bullish is my brief take, do monthly bars count if we close this month more positive does it help I wonder.
257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are not to gamble. on: March 27, 2024, 08:07:06 PM
Drunk, tired, stress would be the most obvious but also most commonly repeated instances that I know of.   Basic rule to guide by is dont play while distracted, it's an obvious point against you coming out with winnings.    If not able to stick to these rules then be most realistic and reflect your play is not completely serious which is totally fine but at this point do not play with serious money play with practise amounts, learn the game and be casual.

Absolutely fine to refine your play and judge your capabilities on that day, matching it to what size you would bet with.   I would call this a strength and resilience by which you are more likely to last long term in gambling as a game without playing yourself.
258  Economy / Speculation / Re: My instincts on the value of bitcoin from now to halving on: March 27, 2024, 05:50:56 PM
Its been doing well over the last day up until about New York open on main markets and its plunged back to where we were.  Its still above a support level so could just be turbulence but you can never be totally sure it'll perform how you expect.

If we maintain above 63k I'll stay positive in my outlook for BTC, thats the bulk of the move we have in the last month and about the lowest prices of mid March when it could have turned negative but reassumed the near highs.    Seems there is resistance about 71.8k and it'll be surer when we have beaten that level and have it as support only seen in the lows of BTC price action.

BTC might need to keep repeating despite the bright lights of the halvening being so close its not an immediately bullish situation.  Any price in this region is good overall.
259  Economy / Economics / Re: Ignore Financial accountability to your detriment on: March 26, 2024, 11:49:52 PM
The number one purpose to money is security, its important to recognize because ultimately it underlines what will succeed or not.  Its easy to forget because the world currently and for some time is saturated with speculative assets and markets biased towards fast gains and leveraged trades but its still true on the fundamentals that security of an asset is what matters.  Its also why everything sells off so often because of leverage and because this polar opposite is what yanks things back, only when markets are scared do they end up being more realistic on this point or its more greed I guess.
260  Economy / Speculation / Re: My instincts on the value of bitcoin from now to halving on: March 26, 2024, 11:35:50 PM
Its good action for the moment I see no reason to be negative especially from here.   Even today the price action was good, its pulled back and then risen from old support which helps to confirm it and prove we are easily capable of performing further gains.

We can never presume absolutely but its fair to set a reasonable gauge based on observation.  So 71k now would be good to prove ourselves able to beat the next possible resistance, that level is just the bottom of the top range we previously traded from March 10th to March 14th.
