I'll admit they don't really look that good, but I buy guns to shoot.  I will make an exception some day when I can afford it:   i would like to buy an "heirloom" to pass down, like maybe a pair of 1911s with custom engraving, or a pair of revolvers or something, and have a custom case built, and then give to my son to pass down the line Smiley

Can you guys toss me some ideas for a new 9mm pistol? I'm looking for something thats not a glock or a taurus, something tactical, reliable, accurate, and inexpensive. Maybe a nice carry size 9mm would be ideal.

Hi-Point are American made guns with lifetime warranties (the life of the gun).  They're inexpensive.  My brother has a 9mm, and my brother-in-law has a .45

I disagree (about .22LR not doing damage).  They might not do good body damage, but they will take out a 1400 pound steer just as easily as they will kill a pig or a human.

I grew up in a butcher shop, and my grandfather and father used .22LR to kill the animals (mostly because the ammo is so cheap).  They will penetrate the skull, and they will drop the animal.  There was a couple exceptions... someone brought in an even larger bull, and it took two shots to bring him down. Smiley

Of course it was at point blank range, and right between the eyes.  But I wanted to dispel myths that .22LR weren't useful for killing large animals. Smiley

I'd like to take the time to semi-hijack this thread (since he's out of that ammo he's selling) and state that I'm looking for a used (but in good condition) 5.56 (.223) bolt carrier group for my AR-15.

Oh ok, thanks for that info.  I didn't want to pay 9btc to be fooled, so just wondering what measures were in place.  I assumed that someone could review them as well, but thought I'd ask on that one specifically since it looked so much like the Bigfoot pic of years past. Smiley
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Warning Against Using Taint on: June 07, 2012, 05:16:03 PM
I'm 6 pages in before my reply, but here's my thinking:

I don't support this at all, because I view bitcoins as cash.  Let's say you sell something for $100 on craigslist, and you get a nice $100 bill, you try the ink mark and determine it's a legit $100.  You go into the bank to deposit it and they say, "this $100 was stolen last month, we have its serial number written down.  You cannot use this $100 anymore"

I call bullshit.  It's my money, I got it through legal means.  It sucks to the person who had it stolen, but I'll be damned if I'm going to give up my money (government stealing notwithstanding).

This photo appears to be that famous Bigfoot photo...

Here's the pic small, but hi-res: https://bittit.info/showImage.php?address=19W1f8zKpAzfi8GRqa66TK3d6ZPiv4e87j

Here's the photo I found off Google:  http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_e6M7O2p9bEg/TMEadZo9m7I/AAAAAAAAAEA/ubukoQwMc6s/s1600/sasquatch.jpg

They're asking 9btc for hi-res... is there any sort of reviewing to determine if these are legitimate photos or not?  (as in not owned by someone else)
248  Economy / Gambling / Re: Official New Bitcoinduit Round Thread on: June 04, 2012, 08:28:58 PM
At this point I would *highly* recommend not playing the game until the have the server fixed as well as some mechanism for having games be started at the point at which the system failed.  Otherwise you'll get a scenario not unlike mine where you have a few bitcoins tied up in games, someone comes by and adds a new bet and then the game (suspiciously?) goes offline, leaving you with no way to reset the timers, nor get back to the bottom of the list for the jackpot, thereby losing all you put in there.

As time goes on I get more bitter having lost 8btc for this very reason, which might not seem a lot, but it is to small potatoes like us.  I feel like some sort of compensation be given, even though I know it won't since we played the game knowing it's a gambling site. But again, losing money to the "normal" course of the game is fine, but losing it due to system crash is what sucks.

I got this response from my tens manager:

Code:
"Hello,

the polish cell will still pay for MMM-2011 from MMM-2012 money. So it's all ok ;) don't be worry"

So I'll ride this storm out and hopefully it will last as well. Smiley

Love eating fish, love raising fish, love eating at the Y. Smiley

I currently have a 55gal setup with cichlids.  If you live in the US, and don't want to spend an arm and a leg getting cichlids, then I recommend catching small (or large, your choice) sunfish.  Sunfish are *very* similar to cichlid in attitude, but are less picky about eating. Smiley  Sunfish just aren't as "pretty".   With sunfish, you can toss just about anything that you find creepin' and crawlin' in your basement that you find icky, and the sunfish (when it gets big enough) will love them all equally. Cheesy

I think I've been soured to this game and probably done with this game.  Over the last 2 crashes I've "lost" about 8 coins.  I put "lost" in quotes because we'll never know who would have won or not, or if any more contributions would come in or not, but there was a game that was going strong that, by my calculations, would have kept going and would probably have kept seeding the ROI.

But alas, it's the nature of gambling.  It just sucks that you lose money due to server/app issues.

Good luck to the rest of you!

Hey I seem to have lost a deposit.  I sent 2 coins to 1K7hjpjHwJSfXAMdyoTU1eALpbF2FQh9vL (transaction ID: 1c15d52b19e4918e74188bb9d12782ee853e2834b6789b7190ec32695c91610e) for http://bitcoinduit.com/rounds/298 it must have happened right after the crash but my client allowed me to send them Sad

Can I get some assistance or maybe a refund?

This game: http://bitcoinduit.com/rounds/209 won't let me send a deposit, but there's still time left, and I'm hoping to get the timers reset since there's only 5 hours left.

Hey your website seems to be broken again Sad
256  Economy / Gambling / Re: Biggest Jackpots at Bitcoinduit on: May 14, 2012, 03:42:28 PM
The site has been around for a while, so it wasn't a scam.  Just an unfortunate turn of events.  I "lost" 3 coins from the crash, but I won't lose any sleep over it Smiley   I say "lost" in quotes because I calculated that by the end of the game I should have had an ROI, but who knows, maybe the game wouldn't have had any more participants.  Smiley

Edited due to a later post in the thread.  I've been soured by two server/app crashes that have resulted in my loss of about 8 bitcoins.  Especially in a strong game that was paying a lot of people, and then suddenly it ends and no way to keep the timer resetting and loss of several coins. Sad
257  Economy / Gambling / Re: Biggest Jackpots at Bitcoinduit on: May 14, 2012, 01:57:00 PM
Yeah, it's one of those unknown variables.  Smiley  At first I was a little upset that I lost some money in one of the games, but then, as pointed out, perhaps the game ending abruptly might have saved me money since I was debating sending another coin into the fray in hopes of keeping the game open. Smiley  Such is life. Smiley

It was the HD7970 + Power Supply buying spree that did it....

TEMAndroid -thanks!

Requires a lot of work for join people to pyramid.

I know another pyramid where they get about 40% per month.

If you're talking about the MMM pyramid, it's not bit coins, but money transferred via Liberty Reserve.  If you join that pyramid, please use my username for a referral Smiley   tonto

That said, I think I'm going to make an account on this pyramid as well.  Here's me:  http://bitcoinpyramid.com/r/2088

Ok I'll think about it. The only question is how long will this run.
As long an new ppl deposit money. So basically it's like mining for gold in a mine witch is going to collapse.
If you get out soon you will have a nice profit.
Its a financial pyramid in its pure form with all risks compensated by possible high profit.

It runs fine 16 months and >30 million people involved and get paid.

Every day of thinking costs... Time is money Smiley

I'm sticking it out for 27 months.  I have ran calculations/spreadsheets, and have a glorious plan.  So if it lasts that long, I will be happy!
