It does appear the "tonto" from 2012 has got the account back so I have removed my feedback.
If it were me, I'd be happy enough to get my account back and would remove the posts that were not mine and would not accept the campaign payout. The payout would be for crap posts, they weren't done by you, and it just seems like you would be lowering your own integrity by accepting it. Regardless of that, I am glad you got your account back.

I'm not going to do the campaign.  You're right, and I talked to the guy to see if I could get paid, but he said no, unless I start over with my own posts.  I'm not that active anymore anyway, so I'll just clean up the posts.  Had he let me do the campaign, I would have cleaned them up after it was over.

Oh well.  Thanks again everyone with your support, help, advice, etc Smiley

This is the real tonto.   It is 4/20/17 at 5:00pm central time (10pm UTC).  This is my message for staking my account so I can cleanup this nonesense caused by the scammer/hacker dude.

Note this is all given as proof in this thread:   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1877655

The malicious guy even admits it later on in the thread (using this account) and then posts under his new account.

I will PM the user SmartIphone, and have him remove his quoted post.

Hey everyone, I'm now home, and here's my signed message confirming I'm back in control of my account:

Since I haven't received any restitution by my deadline, I will start cleaning up my account as best as possible, and see if I can salvage up that bounty or something.  I hope you all understand, because I feel very violated about the whole thing.

I will prove ownership tonight when I'm at home and have access to my wallet using the address listed earlier in this thread:  14ciqtCjzgEXFea4Xzu8tcXHKxRxaahKo7

(I can't right now because my client is on my home computer)

to the other guy:   "Attitude is more"

You did the equivalent of breaking into my house.  Oh how nice of you that you did my laundry and kept the place clean.  But the fact is you bought my account (bought a key) and let yourself into my space.

I'm asking for restitution (1 bitcoin).  Obviously I can't make you do it (since we're not in a court and there's no judge that can make you), so I sent you a counter-offer:  You asked me to keep up my signature so you can get rewarded.  I was going to clean house and delete all your posts and try to fix my damn account that you messed up (essentially got my neighbors to not trust me).  OK fine, but if you want that, then send me 1 full bitcoin restitution and I'll leave it up until that campaign ends, otherwise, when I get home tonight, I'm cleaning my account and fixing everything that *YOU* did while in my personal space.   Great, you dusted and made my bed.  Thanks.  Now pay restitution or stfu.   Oh and tell us where you bought the account from.  All details.

Hey all, i will post proof tonight when I get home (I'll do a separate stake post), but I want you all to know that this post was due to a hacked/sold account.  I can't do a signed post yet because I'm at work and my bitcoin client is at home.

Here's the thread that I am trying to get the account back:
 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1877655

SmartiPhone, you quoted the post, so I will PM you tonight with a signed message from this address (again, read the thread I posted, and the address is in that thread as well as the references to it):
14ciqtCjzgEXFea4Xzu8tcXHKxRxaahKo7

Then I'll ask you to delete your quoted post, since that was not me.

9  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] LocalBitcoins.com - a location-based bitcoin to cash marketplace on: August 03, 2014, 02:33:30 PM
Because I need to sell a bitcoin fast-ish, the site goes down.  This is analogous to how the rest of my life goes as well. Smiley
10  Economy / Digital goods / [fulfilled] Need to buy some in-game credit for Star Citizen ($150) on: April 08, 2014, 07:15:15 PM
I no longer need this, thanks for the responses. Smiley

Hey folks, I'm looking for a reputable person who's willing to buy me $150 worth of in-game credit (gift cards) for Star Citizen.

https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/gift-cards

I'm having problems getting an easy way to do btc->credit card or paypal, so this is my next option.

You would be required to purchase the gift cards (their only options so far for payment are either with credit card (using Stripe or Amazon) or Paypal), and then could "gift" them to me.
We're trying to get them to accept bitcoins (through bitpay) but until they do that, I have to look this way.

We could deal in private messages, where I could give you my in-game name/account, and what fee you would charge, and exchange rate.    I can either send bitcoins to you directly, or we could use coinbase.

I'll check people's trust numbers, too. Smiley

Thanks!!
11  Economy / Marketplace / Re: >>>[ANN] www.Visa4Crypto.com Prepaid Visa cards accepting 14 different coins<<< on: April 08, 2014, 03:30:42 PM
It appears to be down.  Are you no longer offering this service?

Anyone have reviews?
12  Economy / Service Discussion / any reviews on these guys? prepaidvcard.com on: April 08, 2014, 03:11:18 PM
In my hunt for a prepaid virtual credit card (non reloadable) I found this site:

http://prepaidvcard.com/

Anyone use them and have an opinion (either way)?

If not them, anyone have a reputable merchant who can sell prepaid CC gift cards?
13  Economy / Economics / Re: so btc value is finished? on: March 28, 2014, 08:34:09 PM

Other 'better' altcoins do exist, but it'll be years and years before their popularity will reach that of bitcoin, they also have no place in the public eye (which means businesses are much less likely to adopt them).

The alt coins (except maybe the exception of name coin) don't contribute anything but confusion.  Altcoins should have been introduced years later once people are OK with the concept of crypto coins in everyday life.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why has Bitcoin been so stable in the last few weeks? on: March 20, 2014, 04:18:13 PM
I think the fact that btc value didn't crash worse with the MtGox incident speaks volumes for btc right now.

btc is entering the toddler phase.  There's been a couple big tantrums, but btc is realizing that the world does love it, and is starting to play a little nicer with others.
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think the alt-coin crash is hurting bitcoin? on: March 20, 2014, 04:12:37 PM
altcoins (except for name coin) need to go away.

And no, I'm not sitting on a fortune of name coins.  It's just that they have a value to the world, and are a complement to btc.  All my name coins are lost in the nether because I forgot to back them up Sad
(500 coins!)
16  Economy / Economics / Re: "I don't want to make early adopters rich" on: March 20, 2014, 04:10:07 PM
You don't only need early adopters for such statement, you need early adopters who cared at all about they wallets through all of this time. Some people might have mine a lot of bitcoins in 2009 for fun and forget about them .

I guarantee this is the case.  While 21 million will be mined, I'm sure a lot of those early coins are gone due to loss of the private key.  How much we'll never know but I think it's more than people realize.

This happened to me with name coin (which, btw, is an awesome idea and complement to bitcoin).  I had a miner doing name coin for the web value, and at some point I stopped mining.  I kind of forgot all about it.  Fast forward where I realized name coin was trading over a dollar (I forget what it is now, like 2 and half or something?) and I realize "oh shit I never backed up my name coin folder".  500 name coins gone, *poof* vanished.  Oh there're out there I s'pose, out there in the nether, but it's 500 i'll never be able to use *sigh*  Smiley
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: **Breaking news** Satoshi Nakamotos identity revealed on: March 06, 2014, 10:01:14 PM
That poor man.  I hope his wallet is secured against theft (i.e. not on a computer at his house)

and start buying a lot of guns, I have a feeling he will be targeted, either for ransom, or theft.  Sad

Or I wonder if someone else's life is about to get ruined Sad

I think Anonymous needs to hijack that article, and quickly. Smiley
18  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Time to go on a spending spree at Overstock! on: January 16, 2014, 08:07:00 PM

A merchant can save the ~3% and shed risk, but what is the incentive
for joe consumer to bother with bitcoin?

You do not have to use a credit card. Not every one has credit. Not everyone will use their credit card online cuz hackors...

If a guy goes to a BTC ATM he does not even need a bank to buy stuff online.

Edit: Also with credit cards you can only have stuff shipped to your address. With BTC you can ship to where ever you happen to be.

I'm sure there are more advantages.

Actually, when I pay with my credit card, I have stuff shipped to my work address, which is different than my billing address.

Sorry all, here's a link Smiley  watch the videos! Smiley

 http://www.coldsteel.com/Sword-Canes.aspx

Hell for the matter, if you like hacking and slashing, watch all the Cold Steel videos.  Smiley  My favorites are when they're hacking up a hog corpse.  Then you think, "holy shit that would fuck up my rib cage!" (or leave a giant gash in you, etc.

They make good knives, and they prove it via video!   Some people make fun of the owner since he's short/stocky/husky and talks funny, but his swords/knives kick ass!  If you can't tell, I love Cold Steel Smiley

If you ever watch a video of him knife-fighting, you learn quickly that he knows his shit.
20  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Time to go on a spending spree at Overstock! on: January 10, 2014, 09:12:54 PM
I bought a Cold Steel heavy duty sword cane. Smiley

I was going to buy it on amazon (since I have some amazon credit built up), but they mysteriously stopped selling it there *sigh*

I noticed it on Overstock, and at a pretty comparable price to Amazon's, so I bought it there instead Smiley

I would love if Amazon accepted bitcoins directly instead of having to buy amazon gift cards through gyft.com
