i have a long standing thought that most humans are inherently good.

I think as you grow older that view changes to the downside.
Probably why there are so many grumpy old guys!
Not including Jimbo of course :-)

^^^^ appreciate the effort.

You know what gets me with all these TA?
Most,if not all that I have listened to (and I do try to understand and listen) have been saying that there is going to be a big move in one direction or another (you would think that this would be a sure thing with bitcoin considering its volatile past) and yet it has traded sideways pretty much for a month now proving everyone wrong (Honey Badger dgaf).
No doubt when it finally does make a move some TA guru is going to say he was right.
244  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 16, 2020, 11:00:10 AM
I am willing to take the risk. Wink
Golden rule: don't risk more than you could afford to lose.  Wink

Or take a good risk with insane fundamentals and potential... and adjust your lifestyle if things get difficult on the way

Indeed, If the fundamentals of the asset are stronk af, that's the route you should pick. Can't deny that.

But then, that's not taking risks if the you are 100% sure about the potential and the fundamentals of the asset (you know something that others don't) that is being clever than the rest. That's when you go all-in.

If there is one thing I am sure about, it is that I can't be 100% sure about anything.*  Grin %99.99 maybe, not 100%.

That means I am not sure about this* neither. Whoops.

Sorry mindrust but this just sounds like pussy talk to me.
The WO gang have balls of steel.
245  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 15, 2020, 09:30:13 AM
I wish people would wake up and see BTC for what it is.
A truly wonderful gift to the human race capable of solving a lot of financial turmoil and facilitating true wealth growth for individuals and nations alike.
Instead many who have onboarded are only looking to the short term gain of more filthy fiat of which there appears to be no end of.
When will we see the true light?
True HODLers can see.
Stay strong my WO brethren.
246  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 11, 2020, 03:03:03 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

Bouncy bouncy. After briefly touching 5 digits we're back in the mid-$9xxx range again... currently $9635USD/$13006CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Did someone mention boring?

Man-Bear-Whales

Ahhh. The memories.

An historic event in Bitcoin's history, the slaying of Man-Bear-Whale Oct 6, 2014:

https://vimeo.com/273629899

I got lucky and watched it as it happened.

Spartan support at $300.

I've read about this epic moment in Bitcoin history, but for the first time I saw that video. Impressive! I have no doubts that all the bears will be slayed like this.  Grin And if the bear feels bad now at 9K, imagine how bad it will feel at 100K.

That truly was epic.
He placed his 30,000 at 300 which equates to $9,000,000 the Bart move the other day on the dump was around $60,000,000. The stakes are higher now although back then BTC didn't have as many followers so impressive nonetheless.
Is that where the Sparts meme comes from?

Oooops

https://www.coindesk.com/whale-sent-130-ether-transaction-fee

‘Whale’ Just Sent $130 in Cryptocurrency With a $2.6M Transaction Fee

At least it wasn't BTC

Edit: seems like the person made the same "mistake" twice!
248  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 10, 2020, 09:54:42 PM
I really struggle to get in to the heads of some of these sellers.
Why would anyone want to give up an asset so valuable for some filthy fiat that banks have an infinite amount of?
Why trade hard money for soft money?
I understand that you can't buy everything with bitcoin yet so you may need to sell a small amount for necessaties but 1000s of BTC makes no sense.
Maybe super yatch manufacturers need to start accepting BTC as payment.
249  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 10, 2020, 07:33:58 AM
Must be nice to work in a "team of in-house research experts".
I am pretty sure somebody here could post a truly adequate photo which relates to the topic: a "team of in-house research experts".
 Grin

I am sure a great photo opportunity will be had at the next 100k WO party.

Meanwhile, Craig says digital signatures aren't real if they are signed anonymously:

https://twitter.com/BitcoinMemeHub/status/1268366834287312897

Craig, a missed comedian right there, it seems.
Where does he register his wallet keys?  Cheesy

Not to say that the message was signed with the private keys of said 145 addresses.

Perhaps he thinks that if he throws enough random words into a reply that this will befuddle the interviewer and listeners?
To be fair, it seems to have worked cause I don’t know wtf he was talking about :-)

Edit: btw 4 more blocks until a -9% difficulty reduction.
Bitcoin working as designed and all is well.
251  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 02, 2020, 03:54:37 PM
So which of the mystic TA Guys drew this Bart then?
252  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 02, 2020, 10:47:49 AM
Not sure about others but I'm waiting for at least $50k. That would be big. $10.5k, $12k or $16k somebody mentioned here are non-events. I'd agree that a new ATH would be a substantial milestone but still not enough to make me sell ...  Cool

I ain't selling shit until at least $40,000+

I’ve been buying & HODLING for over 6 years, I’m impatient but  I will wait. I’m not going to sell myself short.
I think $100,000 is a real possibility by the end of 2021. That’s my target to sell off maybe 50-75% & then -

Same here. But I'm also planning to buy as much as possible back during the 2022-2024 bear  Cool

Definitely man, I’ll leave a good amount of fiat on an exchange & try to buy back as many as possible at discounted rates.

I need to take life changing money out this time though. No more working for us Wink

I am with you on this one LFC.
I have already moved 10% of my precious to an exchange and setup staggered sell orders ranging from £45000 to £60000.
I know it's way too early but we know how bitcoin goes when she starts hauling ass.
253  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 31, 2020, 04:57:24 AM
Mempool has finally caught up with the backlog.
Last six blocks have not been full.
Next difficulty change is likely to be in the region of 10% or so.
Everything is back to normal since the halving. Now it's ripe for our great ascension.
I know LFC is ready.
Picked up your last BTC JJG?

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-896-day-accumulation-will-now-spark-100k-bull-run-analyst

Quote
The last 896 days were simply one massive re-accumulation phase before the run to 100k+ #bitcoin, and the consolidation structure will soon be broken. Are you prepared?

that is once again an another expert opinion  Grin
this time from 'Credible Crypto' via twitter

Not sure if you’re being sarcastic but he’s right, we are well out of the long bear market now. The effects of the halving won’t be seen for months yet. The next big bull run is going to melt our faces off, definitely $100,000+ by 2022.

Are you ready?
Are your bags full?

The train won’t wait for long!

I dont know about you guys but it feels eeriely like something is about to explode to the upside.
My bags are packed and Im ready to go to the moon.
Beam me up Scotty.

Gets my vote.
Even DMed me in the past to help out where he could.

Now CSW will sue the blockchain

I just hope it's one step closer now to him being fucked in the ass by the courts; he's been a stain for far too long.

Were any of these coins that he was claiming were his?
257  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 25, 2020, 10:25:28 AM
Over 100 addresses from 2009 just signed with this.... Good luck Craig rofl

"Craig Steven Wright is a liar and a fraud. He doesn't have the keys used to sign this message.

The Lightning Network is a significant achievement. However, we need to continue work on improving on-chain capacity.

Unfortunately, the solution is not to just change a constant in the code or to allow powerful participants to force out others.

We are all Satoshi"

https://paste.debian.net/plain/1148565
Very interesting.
I looked at the first few addresses and they appear to have been mined around the very end of Dec 2009 beginning of January 2010. Around block number 31900.
So early coins, yes, but I guess they could be anybody's that were in on the scene back then.
Still anything that smears CSW is good from my point of view.
Anyone else have any ideas,views?

Edit: what's also impressive is that these coins (5000 of them) are still unspent.
258  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 21, 2020, 03:04:31 PM
What now?
Someone move another early block or something FFS.
259  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 21, 2020, 01:17:39 PM
Thanks for that.
If this dip was due to the news of this early block movement it highlights just how jittery some of these traders are.
I mean even if this does happen to be Satoshi's coins (which is looking increasingly unlikey) surely he would be entitled to move, spend them.
What is everyone worried about? That he is going to dump the whole lot on to the market in one go?
Why would he do that? It would surely set Bitcoin back a long way if not totally destroy it.
Doesn't seem like a logical thing to do to me.
How is anyone with access to these early coins (Satoshi's or not) meant to use them?
At what point do people feel a certain block is ok but another isnt?
I know Bitcoin is only a mere 11 years old but sometimes this grind can seem a long time.
Still, I am patient and still HODLing strong.
260  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 19, 2020, 07:48:10 PM
what is the update on the difficulty adjustment?

According to: https://diff.cryptothis.com/

Latest Block:   630971  (2 minutes ago)
Current Pace:   93.9494%  (1980 / 2107.52 expected, 127.52 behind)
Current Difficulty:   16104807485529.38XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Next Difficulty:   between 15132455028583 and 15132746375132
Next Difficulty Change:   between -6.0377% and -6.0358%
Previous Retarget:   May 4, 2020 at 9:02 PM
Next Retarget (earliest):   Today at 6:40 PM  (in 0d 6h 22m 46s)
Next Retarget (latest):   Today at 6:40 PM  (in 0d 6h 23m 11s)
Projected Epoch Length:   between 14d 21h 37m 56s and 14d 21h 38m 21s

-6% in diff, 20-30% of the reward in fees, basically only 15%-20% lower earnings than before the halving (in btc) and, considering that prices were in the 8000 range a couple of weeks ago and close to 10K now, miner earnings are essentially the same (in $$).

I expect the fees to drop though as we begin to eat through the backlog.
