Oh for fuck sake. Just got all my shit together to submit and...

Krakened...god those losers
re: MtGox, yeah, I'm not sure, the Japanese authorities have been pretty opaque
I still don't know how it's possible to trade on kraken without getting rekt by their engine...

What do you recommend I use, that is friendly with the USA banking system, for dumping BCH then ?
Arent you just trading BCH for BCT Bob?
Do you need such high tier levels?
I think that may only be required for FIAT withdrawals.
Now I am no expert at large dumps but can't you use an exchange like polo or bittrex?
I have a legacy account on Bittrex which allows me to withdraw 1337 BTC per day. (Not that I have ever tried!)
542  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 19, 2017, 03:17:08 PM
Ain't even mad it's taking me awhile to get my shit together for Tier 3 (and then Tier 4) validation @ Kraken...

With my combined BTC and BCH, at the current fiat values, I feel it would be financially irresponsible NOT to dump BCH at the current overvalued price, and continue hodling BTC.

Coming up on $1k now. Staying up on this ride a bit longer and see what happens.

Pump Roger Pump !!!
Give em hell BobLawblaw.
Without being too rude do you think it will make a dent?

Probably "How did I survive this long?".
Joking aside I would be 74 by then and my body has taken a bit of abuse over the years. Doubtful it will last til then.
Still, hoping my BTC stash will be worth something by then.

Thanks for the 4th airdrop. I see DO is doing very well on Nova as well.
Exceptional climb to just over 0.0002.
Also forcing peeps to hold 90% of their airdrop means that this is preventing to price from being dumped.
Who knows what will happen when the airdrops stop though? Hopefully DO will be so well established by then that peeps wont want to sell!

Its heartbreaking to see something that could really change the way every individual could be empowered being fought over by a few greedy individuals.
If mining wasn't so centralised I doubt that there would be too many switching to mine the alt chain. I understand that miners mine for profit but what about idealism?

I think she is talking about diversifying your investment... that you convert some of your "digital money" into some "real assets" just in case it goes down again. It's a reasonable advice coming from a non-believer. And she is not completely wrong anyways.

Diversifying a little bit into some other deflationary hard assets might not be a bad thing along the way. But what most people don't understand is that holding out for longer can reap enormous upside for bitcoin, so diversifying too soon can feel like a big mistake.

For example, why convert 20 bitcoins for a $86K piece of property now, when you might be able to do that for as little as 2 bitcoins just 5 years from now? Five years from now that property is not going to cost much more, if any more. Of course no one knows the future of the market, but the upside potential with bitcoin is unbelievable. Holding out on diversifying reaps crazy rewards.

I know what you mean Torque as a few have said the same to me, yet if I want crazy rewards then bitcoin seems to be the best investment of all. The trouble is all of our eggs are in the one BTC basket. If (God forbid) it tanks to nothing then we have no other asset to fall back on.
problem is, I just can't bring myself to part with any of it to diversify with!!

crypto-rainbow, I know you must busy as hell but I was just wondering if you and the dev team have been able to begin working on coding that will help people, like myself and others I have seen in the forum, that have had their bitcointalk accounts hacked?

I have been reading a few posts regarding hacked accounts. Are there certain precautions we need to take to help prevent our accounts getting hacked?
Wouldn't want my account hacked.

Just use the official wallet from DeepOnion and avoid third-party web wallets. The case with the hacked accounts happened to such a third party wallet, where no one really knew who the sites admin was. In your own wallet your onions are safe! Smiley Good luck and plant a wonderful garden.

I wasn't referring to the DO wallet. I thought people were getting their bitcointalk accounts hacked?

...

I see, but what about the distribution %?

If it gets divided across different wallets, will I receive less byteballs compared to holding them all on the same wallet, or you receive byteballs for the sum of all the wallets?

If you create another wallet and receive money and you have no 2 wallets, the number that shows up will show the total amount of byteballs of all wallets or individually when you select a wallet?
Can you do some math?

You have 3 wallets each with 5GB, then you get 5*0.1 + 5*0.1 + 5*0.1 = 0.15GB
You have 1 wallet with 15GB then you get 15*0.1 = 0.15 GB

So it is the same.

lol 5*0.1=0.5 GB

What's funny here? amacar1 all correctly wrote, and you just only copied after him

amacar1 - You have 1 wallet with 15GB then you get 15*0.1 = 0.15 GB
me - 15*0.1=1.5 GB

it's not same

Oh boy, hey horsecoinchina would you like to send me 0.01 BTC please using your maths please :-)

A shittily cast bronze rendition of Slender Man for 140 mn? Wow, high end art is so weird.

I've seen Egyptian hand sculptured/painted statues and other relics that are far more worthy of that kind of money. At least many of them reflect the actual amount of tedious and detailed work effort that went into making them.

You can always get this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Square_(painting) for just 60mln

Apparently there were four versions of this "painting"?
Presumably with different shades of black??

You guys think it might be time for another poll?
We are only half way through the month and already above the top spot (well before the other two options were added, I had already voted before they were added!)
553  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 15, 2017, 06:55:32 AM
Profit taking or dumping at the moment?
Was 4400 the top or is there any more steam left in this bull?
554  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 14, 2017, 12:05:58 PM
Market cap of all crypto: $139B
Market cap of Mastercard: $137B

There are some things money can't buy. For everything else, there's crypto. Wink

Priceless

Helping you find profits in new places.

555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: August 14, 2017, 07:38:03 AM
The issue with the price is that it is compared to the price of BTC since that is what it is traded against on the exchanges. However, if you look at the dollar value of Byteball it hasn't really changed all that much (ok it has a little).
So those who were just participants of the airdrop haven't really lost all that much (compared to the dollar), the problem is a bit more severe for those that have purchased Gbyte prior to the airdrop using BTC who are really feeling the pinch.

Grin I said we will convert them good PR in time before. Now you can see they are doing free advertisement for us. It's good thing.
They also helped us to develop nice deny list, our security expert goes these threads and collect them in our deny list.

Thiefs also participated in the two double amount rounds  Undecided
But we are happy with our onions and we will steady grow them in our gardens next 36 + 1 rounds of airdrop.
We denied most of them just before airdrop over 100s. Yes we have a lot to share and give in the future and real developments we expect after the vote central. We will make sure onion holders has say in the projects which aim to develop better future for the DeepOnion anonymous community.

Thanks Crypto-rainbow. Like what you have done so far and enjoying the airdrops. good to see the price rising on Nova too.
Never ceases to amaze me how many cheaters there are and the lengths they will go to to make some "free" money. It would seem that if they put that much effort into these devious schemes that they might be better of putting those efforts into something legal and reaping the rewards.
557  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 13, 2017, 08:31:29 AM
Anyone guessing this recent rise might be partly due to the US - N. Korea tension?
Peeps panicking that there are going to be Nukes flying around and want to secure their funds.
Hmmmm That Seasteading concept seems to be making a little more sense now.

Maclaren then?

I've had some very desirable cars over the years. It's really not worth the ball ache. If you're not getting resentment out on the roads, then the fucking thing is falling apart on you.

They're like most relationships. Five minutes of fun followed by years of drawn out hell.

Living the dream.

The bitstamp chart reminds me of one of my fav led zepplin songs.
"Stairway to heaven".
Looking good Honey Badger.

Does any one know if it's possible to link to a new bitcoin address at this point?

I moved the bitcoins out of my linked wallet to access the BCC. Since that exposed the seed to Electron Cash, i don't want to move the BTC back.

When I enter my byteball address to the transition bot, to try and link a BTC account it just replies "Sorry, you are late. See you in the next round." and pretty much anything else gets the "your current bitcoin link is blah blah blah, current balance etc."

Any Thoughts?

Getting the same error.
Was wondering if it is just a matter of time? Looks like the bot is referring to the previous airdrop and not the forthcoming one in Sept.

Sorry, you are late. See you in the next round. is the message I get too.
