241  Economy / Speculation / Re: You have a better chance with Bitcoin now than the next minute! on: March 24, 2024, 09:00:00 PM
I really like speculation like this because it based on price history and not with other bullshit out of the world predictions. This kind of speculation on price is very to easy to grasp due to a clear pattern on the price growth.
The new ATH before halving hasn't happened before in bitcoin so I don't see how this could be a good prediction that's based on the market history when bitcoin already made history with this new one, you're right about the factor about the ETF which means that OP's prediction for the last price for this year wouldn't be a possibility since the volume is much higher than the last time because of ETF, there's more investors now although they're not directly investing in bitcoin, they're still affecting the price.
Despite taking note of the impact of the bitcoin ETF approval as major propeller of the recent all time price achievement for the bitcoin market, we still need to take note and correct some wrong assumptions that you mentioned in the comment above where you say that bitcoin have never achieved an all time high price before halven before.

That is wrong I think in 2020-2021 there about,  a similar market realities played out before where bitcoin make an all time high price few weeks/months to bitcoin halving.
242  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 190K in 2024? on: March 24, 2024, 08:45:05 PM
A very important event is scheduled to happen this April. Around April 16 or 17. It's bitcoin halving again. i.e. number of bitcoin rewarded for mining a block would be halved. It meas half bitcoin reward for equal task for miner. That would also decrease the liquidity in bitcoin provided by the miners. The miners operate on small margin and many could go on loss if they sold their reward for current price so they won't be willing to sell it unless price moves up. Bitcoin in past have seen a good price boost after the halving. And many prediction models place the future price of bitcoin into 190K.
Is 190K too humble or very generous in your consideration? What's your price plans for selling your holdings?
Oh no we are in 2024 already and bitcoin is already making moves to record another unprecedented price movement that will take the community by surprise,  although we can't tell when and how that is going to play out but one thing for sure is that bitcoin is going to record another price benchmark that will be a record price.

For me $190k bitcoin price in 2024 I a good speculation and with all the available data's that shows the possibilities of achieving that price before the year runs out, since bitcoin halven will happen in the first quarter of 2024 and we still have more than 6 month before 2024 plays put, 6 month is a good enough time after bitcoin halven to build the price into a full bull market.

Yes as usual and as we know that emotions are usually a disease for most gamblers and I say that they are irresponsible gamblers who come with the intention and purpose to earn and when you come with such intentions and goals then obviously you will be more often haunted by uncontrollable emotions and as you said that most decisions will be based on emotions which in turn some out of control actions are a sure thing because of the absence of a rational mindset for consideration.

Basically it is true that emotions can destroy you in any case and not just in gambling matters, and if we talk about gambling then yes obviously emotions can make a person end up with a greater amount of loss.
Sometimes, I wish I could fine somewhere to studying hoe to put our emotions into 100% check and that is how to totally eliminate emotions from our decisions making process during the bet, most of us are either directly or indirectly victims of the presence and forces of emotional control, sometimes it becomes too much overbearing to seek and stick to out of emotions perception and directions.

Bit then we ought to stick out our necks to accept the reality and how to overcome the tendency of emotional involvement in our gambling most especially when we already have the session on like in the Middle of a game.
244  Economy / Gambling / Re: My betting strategies on: March 24, 2024, 06:44:40 PM
Edited out
There's no such thing as lucky game, we worked for earning with solid strategies. My betting strategies will continue to explore for me because it's certainly one of the tremendous records of earning high in the system. Whenever you're in the space, try as much as possible to make sure things and situation are control, it goes clearer as planned and not some random results. We're here to obtained the excellent results as usual and not here to beg for any profits, anyone accumulated is due to the outstanding performance of a gambler.
I never know you are part of the the ops or replying based on your experience and unrelated to the ops cause I can't figure out anywhere in the thread that the ops mentioned any service,  as you stated above, or unless I am not getting you clearly in this situation.

What my comment was aimed at is to clear off the notion that we can have a working strategy when it comes to betting that is having something that works by giving you the winning for at least three consecutive times that is when you can call it a strategy but anything outside of that can still be acted and perceived as just luck factors in place.
245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New EU AML ban bitcoin anonymous payment on: March 24, 2024, 06:30:07 PM
Alot is happening in the cryptocurrency landscape lately and government are beginning to build crossed blocks along the growing path of the cryptocurrency Industry with the so called regulatory procedures that are aimed.ed at controlling the cryptocurrency market and also enforcing a killer mode method which are tool of anti bitcoin crusaders.

Many of the countries that made attempts at regulating bitcoin have gotten alit of things wrong and at that can lead to a resistance and more privacy consciousness among crypto communities,  since with such laws bitcoin users will know how to act and when to handout their privacy,  this is not only happening in the EU, but even in my country,  there have been similar anti cryptocurrency driven laws which up till now have no provable effects on the market.

246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Recovering gambling addict stories on: March 24, 2024, 06:14:52 PM
A gambler can control himself because he's gambling with his money. Absolutely correct every one can be addicted to gamble, it doesn't matter your financial status, even if you don't have money or your fucking rich you can also be addicted when you don't gamble responsibily.
Someone without a job and side hustle can easily become addicted I think so, the reasons why gamblers takes gamble as a side hustle is because the ones they are doing is not giving them a good profit (good salary) and they have to find another alternative to make more money. Truth be told that gamble is not a good area to make money, and gamblers that uses gamble as a side hustle gets addict easily.
At some point when someone is an addicts, it means that they are uncomfortably involved in the addictive activities and can't help themselves,  sometimes it will be due to the way they act and behave that make people to know that they are addicted,  and at that point they will be needing help externally,  the addicts vital contributions will be if he wish and have recognised his helpless state and ready to come out of it at some point, this is what gives them the motivation to be able to fight through the process of overcoming they addictions on the long run.

Sometimes also taking gambling as a side hustle is totally wrong and such mindset is what have contributes to the high rate of gambling addictions that we recorded lately.
247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making decisions while betting on: March 24, 2024, 05:57:00 PM
Emotions exist in everyone.  There is no human without emotions. a robot is without emotion. But this emotion does not always harm us.  Emotions can help us a lot but in some cases it can lead us to harm depending on how well we can control our emotions. People always want to enjoy difficult things with interest and meanwhile gambling is difficult thing as well as it is able to give fun at the same time there is a chance to win a lot of money so everyone has a lot of interest in gambling this interest makes everyone emotional very fast.  So keeping yourself under control will be a very important task for everyone
Emotions will always interacts with us in any situations and emotions can becomes bigger when we playing gambling because we will see many things related to the gambling, especially the outcomes. When we lose, that can makes us becomes emotional and many people lose control and can't manage their emotion because they see their lose. When we can't manage emotions, we will lose our money and that can becomes bigger if we don't stop from playing gambling. If people can treat gambling well and can control their money to be used in gambling, they will have a chance to enjoy the gambling games. Yes, we must keep ourselves under control so we don't becomes emotional because of the outcomes that we gets.
When ot comes to gambling we should always avoid the allowance of emotions to take any part or full control of us and our line of thoughts,  this is so important because both the good and ugly experiences comes from the results of uncontrollable emotions,  some times you may feel good when you wen the bet that emotions pushed to place, and other time you feel very wired and bad because you eventually lost all your entire holdings due to excessive staking all motivated by your emotions as a gambler.
248  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: How do one sort out money sent to wrong palmpay number? on: March 23, 2024, 10:32:13 PM
If it is the phone number with just omitted first 0, try to call the person.

Someone sent me ₦275000 last year. I called Kuda myself to refund the person. Kuda said they will. I guess the person went to her bank, they were unable to help her because likely what they will tell her is that she should contact me or maybe she go to police. I sent the money back to her after 3 days when I know that Kuda is not helping her at all.

It is just ₦5000. Try to contact the person or forget about it. The money needed for investigation is far more.
Baba the situation was easy for you to reach her and both of you communicating because she sent the money from a mobile wallet which you can easily see the phone number which double as account in her end which made it possible for you to trace and contact her.

Now ask yourself this question,  what if she sent the money from a normal bank account how could you have contacted her for the refund.

Legal way to go about this:

If you send money to wrong account,  you can go to any court of competent jurisdictions and get an affidavit that contains all the bank and transactions details with stamps, normally the process cost #15,000 to get the affidavit depending on the amount of money you sent to the wrong guy account,  you then submit the court affidavit to the person bank, and once submitted you give them two weeks the money will be deducted and deposited back into your account.

Police have nothing to do with wrong transactions,  it court and bank and if the person spend the money the bank will place the BVN of the person on red flag which means anywhere he drop money it will be taken as outstanding.
249  Economy / Gambling / Re: My betting strategies on: March 23, 2024, 10:21:52 PM

Then why is it that upon knowing this, we still have some gamblers that are going about chasing after their losses at the cause of gambling, with the mindset that they will beat over the house and win beyond the target, instead they keep seeing the situations getting worse and bad, what i sense from this is for them to understand that there's no particular strategy that has been proven as the most effective one in gambling, if there is any, gamblers wouldn't mind as well as paying for such, we only have to develop what is best for us to use as strategy and if luck work on us, then we win.
The problem with some gamblers is that, they have already committed alot into they gambling that at some point they will not be comfortable with walking away when the dice are against them, and the tend to chase the loses just to meet up and make up to what they have already lost during the games, the main problems now come from one thing which is they inability to know how far they are dipping they both fits in the rivers when you already one down with a lose instead of walking you trying to recover,  greed is the order of the day for them, and some of them even go as far as taking loans just to bet I.with the belief that when they win they can recovery through such bets.

I believe also that many of them are already addicted before even trying they first bets which tend not to be fully out of coloration with why and reason they chase the loses at all means
250  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino vs. Stoc,Forex&Crypto Broker: Who's Really Playing You in the Money Game on: March 23, 2024, 09:49:24 PM
.

And yeah, just like you have said, it is completely wrong to compare gambling to a job, there are completely different and don't have don't cross path in any form, generating income from a job can be guaranteed, but generating income from gambling is not guaranteed, and just as you have said, job only requires investment of one's time and energy or brains, depending on the type of job, then the person gets paid by the end of the month, while gambling requires investment of not just money, but also one's time, and brains, depending on what type of game the gambler is playing, and even at this, the gambler will still need to be lucky to win, else, it's still going to end in a loss, shows that there is no guarantee of any kind in gambling.
It's completion out of place to compar gambling to to a skill Jon, because a job is a profession because we have so.e professional jobs and unprofessional jobs which are call minal job at times, but same can't be hard of gambling and in gambling is either you win or lose its a game of chances and also unrealistic and unreliable which make it out of skills, and we can't fine any gambler that can call himself a skilled gamblers because at some point we don't have such in gambling.

Well we make some statements as trading be some form of gambling even though that is not 100% true and trading can still accommodate some level of skills and strategies which can not be apply in gambling so comparing both still can not stand, we have to face it that gambling is risk involved and no matter your experience you can never win over the house and any attempt to do so can only end you in more loses than winning at the end.

251  Economy / Gambling / Re: [NEW] 🚀 Rocketpot.io | 2,500+ Games 🎰 | 10% Cashback 💰 on: March 23, 2024, 09:39:30 PM

Anyways, playing on casinos like this is anybody's decision to make, for me, I avoid depositing and playing on this type of casinos, because one, they might have a limit that will prevent users from winning big amount of money, regardless of how much players bet on a game.
For records, this casino was last active here in the forum in 2021 which goes a long way to show how and why their presence here in the forum is highly limited and unknown to many and the thread becoming dead eventually for a long time before the recent bump of the thread to make it appear on the top of the board.

And from my little digging into the casinos history I discovered there hard issue and still have a tag of unpaid debt which suggest that and the reason why they can't keep up with they presence here innthe forum, but still I don't know if the casino is still actively since I did not attempt to visit the site, and also I will advice others to avoid this kind of casinos because your deposits will be at high risk if you make such mistakes to put your money on this casino.
252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you won a bet with your last cash? on: March 23, 2024, 09:25:31 PM
I think majority of us here has one time or another, win some big money with our last cash. And it might not happen only once but many times for me. But if I have to look at, it just base on pure luck and nothing more.

It felt good to win and experience this kind of phenomena, but at the end of the end, looking back, it could have been part of how gamblers become addicted. You experienced the adrenaline rush and try to go and repeat that same experience again and again, IMHO.
Winning in gambling generally has always been based on pure luck, there is no kind or type of winning that isn't tied to some level of luck, whether the winning come or came from a luck based games like slot and casino games, or knowledge based games like sports betting, or skill based games like card games or pvp games and so on, luck applied to every of our winnings regardless of what type of game the gambler is playing.

And I don't think it's actually right to keep on gambling till one is one bet left to being or going totally broke, because for the fact you were lucky the first and maybe the second time does not mean you will continue in that same luck, anyone who continues to gamble until one bet left for them to go broke is absolutely foolish and lack the proper knowledge in safe gambling, except on occasions where the gambler has some other alternatives to fall back on when and if their gambing result doesn't turn out as they wanted or hoped.
And personally, I think this type of gambing won't lead to gambing addiction, since there will always be times when the gambler will not win the game, go broke for a while before getting money to continue to gamble.
But like I said before, gambing until one is one bet away from going broke is a very poor and unhealthy gambling habit.
Well it depends on the mindset of the gambler and how he takes the games that he be next faced with for staking his last available credit on and also I don't totally agree with your last statement of gamblers who risk they last available balance as unhealthy gambling partten this is because many of us have a set aside funds that we deposits and gamble with and regardless of the many times we may have lost the bets, as long as we still have available balance and time to gamble more, I won't go off the site until I totally exusted the entire balance.

This way I won't be tempted to go back to the casino again until my next gambling schedule when I will have a new avalanche cash to make fresh bets with.
253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your take? on: March 23, 2024, 09:17:13 PM
I've seen this happen before. One guy bet $1m dollars on a 1.1 odds game and ended up losing that bet. It should have been a quick buck but unfortunately, it didn't go his way. If you will be betting straights with a huge budget, better make sure that your pick is bulletproof and you have analyzed everything in the match. If that's not the case, bet low to medium on some other lines within the game like total scores on X time, total fouls etc, you get the point. At least with this way you'll only be losing less should the outcome do not fsvor you.
This is the most hilarious thing I have hard while reading through this thread, betting $1 million on an 1:1 odds is quite insane and unimaginable thing, I am sure that that gamblers didn't know the risk and also the rewards,  or is it that he did not check the potential total rewards on a 1:1 odds, it's almost near zero let say he will be getting 100k return on the $1 million dollars stakes.

Quite sure the risk outweigh the possibility or even the advantage that come if he win the bet,  for me this is a near suicidal approach and not fair way to gamble at all, how can someone risk such an amount on a bet that have every chances to fail, or he was deceived in believing that lower odds will increase his chances of winning the bet.
254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: March 23, 2024, 08:33:32 PM

While it is true that a lack of regulation can make it difficult to enforce responsible gambling rules, it is also important to recognize that individuals have a responsibility to protect themselves from the dangers of addiction, and there are several ways to do so, especially given the growing popularity of online gambling.
One alternative is to put age verification on gaming websites, preventing minors from accessing them. Furthermore, it would be beneficial to provide clear and conspicuous information regarding the potential consequences of gambling, as well as resources for people who are battling with addiction.
Finally, the government should consider enforcing daily or weekly gambling limitations to prevent people from going into debt or injuring themselves financially.
The discussion on gambling addiction is something that appears to be of utmost importance for us as gamblers because alot of times, the time we have problems most is when we slid into addictions and that is what have made gambling to be something that is too risky and gamblers not being able to make anything out if they tend to gamble excessively and nit manage their activities while the gamble, this have made gambling to have so many negativity compared to the limited positive expectation from gambling.

We all need to stay away and keep ourselves clean from any attempt and possible addiction because it outcome is always devastating to the victims and getting out of gambling is almost near impossible that is why we often time advice that gambler should avoided any addictions tendency and allays keep away from everything that could put you under pressure to win at all time.
255  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Be careful of cheap scam on: March 23, 2024, 08:01:46 PM
Well this is a low level scam and at such we should have outgrown that aspect of scam, and also I will advice anyone that you never confirmed a transaction that you did not have the records in your history,  many times I chooses to use email confirmation, this way alot can go wrong and the chances of getting fake alart will be near zero.

We should be more concerned about the virus part of attacks which see to it that scammers may want to drop some spam in your wallet most especially altcoin wallets and when you try to view them you accidentally click the link that deposits a virus that watch your device for a long time and stealing your essential details such as passwords and other personal datasthat could be used to hack into your accounts and wallets if you save the seed phrase online.
256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: While placing bet what comes your mind on: March 23, 2024, 07:42:36 PM
Yesterday was trying to place bet and during the process something in me keeps telling me to increase your wager do you know if you would hit something you never won before.. I was like is this how other people are being controlled by gambling or is it how it works? I said, no wonder some people gamble and finishes their allocation for the week or month. This can even lead someone to also go borrow if this feeling is not killed and stop, you can also see that this attributes in gambling addiction.

However, have you had this feeling while gambling before be it offline casino and online casinos?
Very funny feeling that have pesuaded many into exusting they entire bankroll within a shortest time frame and at that you will losing everything at once, and I will like to ask you.

Did you follow that mind telling you to increase your bet amount and there after increasing it?

Secondly how did it go, did you win the bet or you lost?

Many times I have been a victim of myself when I allow greed take over me to the point that is stake up all my entire place.
257  Economy / Gambling / Re: My betting strategies on: March 23, 2024, 07:28:10 PM
The betting companies would have all closed down if most bettors are able to get winnings with just one strategy that's why you see them giving you different options to bet on while you calculate and come up with the right strategies to bet in a particular game. Ww all need different patterns to follow different games as one pattern can't be used all the time to play in different gambling selections and as for the movie you mentioned now, am going to check it out tonight and see if i can get more knowledge about what i should do in gambling. For the Arsenal and Manchester city game, both teams are good at the moment but it would take one mistake for the other team to win and I wish  Arsenal will win to increase their chances of winning the league ahead of City and Liverpool.
Exactly and to avoid that bad outcome that is why casino have what is call house edge on most games and with that in place they are at advantage to make a good revenues even when their are possible attempts of using a bot or any form of strategies that may put the gambler at advantage over the the casino.

But also we have games that strategy can not work against,  such as football this game is based on chances and opportunities, this makes it impossible for the players to drafts out any possible winning strategies that can put them at winning all the time.
258  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 2030 Assumptions on: March 23, 2024, 03:40:07 PM
Hello Everyone,

I'll keep this short.

BTC 2030, what is your educated opinion on the state of BTC come the end of the decade?

Before 2030, we should first analyze it all one by one, we have this year halving and between now and 2025, bitcoin is likely to achieve a all time high of $150,000 or more, after this, we are having another halving in 2028 which we expect the market price for bitcoin after this period to have reached $300,000 and if we go by all these, by 2030, bitcoin should be some where around $500,000 or close to, this is my opinion though, you can DYOR.
Very well because with each halving come another era of possible market break out and for that we may likely have double of the current price of Bitcoin at that time and for sure alot is going to changes along the line and with such changes come some form for trnansfromansthat will impact the availability of Bitcoin a d 20230 is really a good ti e to call for an long term investment process and time frame, alot of times many mistakes calculate the market a  expects too much using bitcoin current market to judge what the price of Bitcoin will be in the long term.

259  Economy / Gambling / Re: Share trusted VPN Friendly crypto casinos on: March 22, 2024, 08:34:05 PM
It also consumes much of the user data for the sake of those that don't even know some of the implications of using a VPN, also the network must not seize because once there's a disconnection, all the whole thing cast nd the user get caught on that purpose, so while the whole risk on what is not worth it, if the platform restrict for the use of VPN, we can as well use the platforms within our zones that does not need the use of such.
Yeah that are the many effects of using vpn to access any site, it drain both network and user data's and some time it exposes the user to other security risk most especially when you connect to a wrong network that the end developer could see your input info's from the other side and tend to steal users informant for shady deals.

VPN should be avoided in all sense of it and for sure I Personally will not use VPN to bypass any restrictions,  to avoid landing myself into security risks.
260  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Now dollar is #1,400/Naira. Will the prices of food items and commodity reduce? on: March 22, 2024, 08:20:23 PM
If fuel price keep being high there is no way you should expect reduction in the price of goods and services, fuel is the major propellor of the economy and not the exchange rate between naira vs dollar's,  sometimes we Nigerians need to build our awareness about all this things so that we can know better what is really happening in the economy today, many times we tend to mislead ourselves with social media news and some wrong assumptions as to what courses the rise in the price of good and services within an economy such as in this situation.

It may be disappointing to many to see that the Nigerian naira is appreciating against the dollar's but the price of basic goods will still remains high or even increase with time, if nothing is done to crash the price of fuel.
