241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 09, 2024, 02:31:22 PM
Exciting T20 series between India, Afghanistan and Pakistan, New Zealand will be starting in the next couple of days. Am more excited for the India-Afghanistan series thanks to the Afghans improving rapidly in all formats recently.

India will have home advantage, but Afghanistan is a force to reckon with these days in the T-20 format which is why the series could go either way.
We currently have one of the best format back in business as we are heading for the T20i World Cup 2024 in the USA/West Indies and all teams are giving last touch to their players for this mega event with India is having Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli back into their squad which is good decision because in absence of Hardick Pandya and SKY these both can bring better performance with youngsters and keep things at high as well I have feeling most chances this series will be not exciting as India will be better specially after beating Australia at home and South Africa.

New Zealand vs Pakistan here we can have some excitement with Pakistan having unpredictable nature, and they usually create drama into their matches New Zealand is also brought back their few senior players which were not available for the tour of Bangladesh, so things could be at his good with most chances New Zealand will be favourite.
242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lotteries and possibility vs. probability on: January 09, 2024, 01:05:21 PM
Anything that is casino-related has a slim chance of winning, and it doesn't stop the fact that some people can win big with it. This winning is the target of most gamblers and the reason why they patronise casinos engaging in lotteries, they have hope in it. The lottery is not a child's play and it depends on the lottery we are talking about to know how easy or difficult the winning could be. There are some that will just be about the general drawing for the lucky winners and nothing more, but in some, gamblers can still use some mathematical calculations to get the possible results. And guess what? This works and I've seen a lot of people who didn't predict randomly but went to their calculation table to draw out the possible outcome and it works for them.

The best of this is when they are playing a certain lottery that is manually set but has had some internal calculations that will always follow a certain pattern. The issue is that it could be rigged like others since it is not easy for the house to follow the same logic on this all the time, many people will later get to know it and use it to make money against them. In all, people can win in lotteries by luck and by their efforts, but no one should ever believe they can get rich in lotteries. However, if it happens, they can embrace it and be happy. You see that people often have this belief in winning in lotteries, which is why they will continue to patronise it.
When it comes to rigged, any game could be rigged and as long as players are not aware of it, there is absolutely nothing that we can do about it, it's just the way it is. However, we should remember, even when it's not rigged, it's definitely not something that we could end up with an easier solution neither, it's not going to be all that easy.

I believe that most casino games, even included lottery which may charge more than it gives out, who knows, could definitely end up being a little difficult to handle. If a casino rewards 1 million dollars to lottery winner, but sold 1.5 million dollars worth of tickets, that alone shows how it's "rigged" but in a legal manner, there is nothing shady about that, that's just how it works.
243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 09, 2024, 12:01:01 PM
Arsenal tried their best to win the match but their best was simply not enough to penetrate Liverpool’s defense. Arsenal wanted to win because i could see the zeal in them to score but their attack was not as sharp as they used to be, it seems like Saka has lost his confidence and everything seems not to be going his way, without Saka's magic i can say Arsenal will be nowhere to be found because Matinelli can hardly create something for the club and their attack will be weak without any threat.

Liverpool defense was rock solid even without Van Djik, Konate was outstanding and didn’t give any room for Arsenal to penetrate them. I think overall Liverpool was more threatening with the counter attacking style and that was what led them into winning the match.
Arsenal attack were not good but now suddenly they are on decline which is surely hurting them badly with they need to fix this quickly if they want to have better results in remaining season with now we are heading for the toughest time of season and all top teams are doing their best Jürgen Klopp is surely one of the best man on duty and learning from his mistakes his attack and defense both are doing their best which is helping them to have good success, and now they are in four competitions with chances they can win trophies as much they can with their current level of performance.

Arsenal try their best to score any goal, but Liverpool were strict, and they never allow to them having any fair chance for the scoring goal at home Liverpool which is surely one of the fiercest club in English Premier League now looking at his best and their players like Van Djik and Konate having enough quality to stop any team with their experience and ability to control.
244  Economy / Speculation / Re: 112 days waiting for bitcoin halving!! on: January 09, 2024, 09:09:54 AM
The exciting thing about the halving is that we are going to end up with miners taking a side once again, or basically acting together again. That is always great because it involves a situation where it is not going to be a small feat, we are talking about something that will not be all too simple and should be a greater deal. I know that it is going to be tough, but we need to be staying calm about it one way or another.

If you can just let the volatility hit you then you will lose money, but if you let it be and you just keep holding, then you will come out stronger on the other side and have a profit. Not many people do that, and they should definitely consider that as a great option, it gives you so much profit to just hold.
245  Economy / Economics / Re: The Jim Cramer affect on Bitcoin.... on: January 08, 2024, 06:30:31 PM
He is chasing momentum on the trading of BTC but his view is secondary as its not crypto related its purely the volume of trading in that ticket symbol he sees.  I dont blame him for getting it wrong exactly, it would equate to driving using only your mirrors going backwards.
Best thing anyone can know is when you dont know, his advice is just a popular opinion for a tv show he has to say something and loudly I guess.  Thats his thing, the same deal has been true of stock tips given in newspapers for years they tend to state what just occured more then predicting what will happen which is generally how a profit would occur.
If he do then he is doing it wrong. The OP already explain this effect. So if he expects BTC to moon, it could actually go down. And there maybe people who will make it happen because they are also riding this trend (the Jim Cramer Effect). He talks about BTC there and BTC is a crypto. So his view right there is crypto-related. Predicting BTC is hard but people might still blame him as it disrupts the natural flow of BTC.

But, some will just ride it because they can still get benefit out of it. I agree when you say best thing to know is when you don't know. It's because when someone thinks we are clueless, they will continue what they are planning about. But they don't know that we already know this.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Uniswap reaping people off on: January 08, 2024, 05:34:52 PM
I have withdrawn and trade ETH from MEXC multiple times already and I am never charged more than $3 but when I swap ETH ERC 20 on Uniswap the gas fee is almost always $10 and few times over $10, why is it like this? Are DEXs suppose to be more costly normal centralized exchanges?
With Centralized Exchange you are not actually interacting with the blockchain network, the fee was defined by the exchange and on CEX you only charged with trading fee there is no blockchain transaction fee. But with decentralized exchange you are actually interacting and using the Ethereum Blockchain so the fee was affected by the network condition. What you could do is checking the average transaction fee on the blockchain before doing any transaction on the DEX.
So, the fee on DEX depends on the network condition? But I don't think the ETH network is congested. And there are now lots of alternatives to it which many people use the most because the fees on them are cheaper and then they are also faster than in ETH. But, the first thing that you said seems legit and might be the reason on why transacting on DEX is more costly than the CEX.

There is what we call a gas station for ETH where we can check the fee but before we initiate a transaction in a DEX, there will still be pop up telling if how much fee it will cost us to complete the transaction. I prefer this, and I still can decline it if I don't like what I see on my screen.
247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if all Bitcoin is lost? on: January 08, 2024, 04:33:21 PM
What would happen if all Bitcoin is mined and all Bitcoin is lost?
I guess that at that point bitcoin would not exist anymore, that's it. You are mentioning bitcoin but it's the same with anything else: what happens if we extract all the oil available on our planet? It's done, no more oil. What happens if we kill all the elephants? No more elephants. And so on. Anyway a scenario like the one you are mentioning is extremely unluckily to happen, why would people choose to deliberately get rid of something that has a high value?
It's possible that all BTC can be mined but I don't think all will be lost like we send it to an unknown address that doesn't exist and BTC can't be recovered anymore. Why would someone do that? For what purpose? Keep in mind that the reason why we buy BTC and HODL is to earn a big profit, but that act we said earlier is just an opposite of it.

BTC is only just a currency. It's not the same as anything. And it's not like an ordinary currency, but it is decentralized and has a limited supply. BTC can keep on circulating but I don't think it's possible for an oil to do that once it was already used. Luckily there are lots of sources of it, so it won't ran out easily.
248  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you work toward hodling bitcoin? on: January 08, 2024, 03:58:03 PM
Don't put all your eggs in one basket, even if that basket is made of digital gold. Set aside a chunk of your earnings for Bitcoin, then use the rest to fuel your business beast. Think of it as a tag team – your business keeps the lights on, while Bitcoin waits patiently for its big payday.

Don't go all YOLO on Bitcoin. Instead, be like a steady rain, drip-dripping that DCA goodness into your account every month. This way, you avoid the emotional rollercoaster of big buys and ensure you're always building your stack, even when the market's throwing a tantrum.
I think the phrase implies that we shouldn't all-in in one asset but we must diversify to cut risk and maybe increase our profit potential. I mean it's not about the basket or the storage where we put our assets. But, even if it's made of gold or we think it's very secure, we still can lose our money if the assets that we pick and put there are not good enough.

Diversifying isn't only limited to the different assets, but we should also diversify our money outside. You already gave one example there. Having a business is still tough, and not all can do it, therefore they just keep the extra money instead, so that they can have something to use in case they need something.
249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you willing to bet $50 spin for a chance to win $42 million? on: January 08, 2024, 03:23:40 PM
It's not about having courage, it's about having a bankroll big enough that you can afford to make $50 spins continuously like the guy was doing. I know that he didn't have a very big bankroll to show, it was about $2,200, but from how he was doing those spins, it's clear that he is a high roller and only a high roller and a person with enough money can do something like that. A normal person and an average bettor can never place $50 bets on a slot machine.

He was extremely lucky to hit that jackpot because you don't often see a gambler winning millions of dollars in just a single spin no matter how much money one is spending per spin. So, other gamblers shouldn't get inspired by that and start making high bets so that they can also win something as significant as that because it's all about luck.
250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: January 07, 2024, 09:03:23 PM
Milan are a very unpredictable team this season. Their Champions League performance is a good example for that. And I can't say they are very good at maintaining a title race in the Serie A either.  Sad

But when it comes to Roma I think that they have more potential in the Europa League. I'm saying this depending on their last performances in the Europa Conference League and Europa League in the recent seasons. They are really a competitive team in these tournaments. They reached the finale with Mourinho in the Europa League last year and it wouldn't be surprising to see them there again this year.
But with Milan joining the Europa League play-offs after they were eliminated from the UCL. This means that competition in the European League will certainly be much more difficult than last season. Liverpool will probably still be the favorites. Because even now I believe Liverpool is still superior to all the teams in the European League at the moment.

Meanwhile Roma and Milan may be almost evenly matched. And even though AC Milan is clearly superior in Serie A, we can expect more from AS Roma in the European League. Because Mourinho always proves that Roma always play well and can achieve good things in the Europa League as he has proven in previous seasons.
Meanwhile, AC Milan seems like they haven't given up on the title race in Serie A. Even though they are already quite far behind on points from Juventus and Inter Milan.
AC Milan is surely having good edge with their improved performance which is keeping them at the top ranks, and they can do much better in coming matches as well even they are eliminated from the Champions League but things still favouring them for doing good now they are going to face Rennes for the spot into round of 16 which is quite possible for them to win and go through even few are feeling they can jump into last four as well which is not easy but possible in current conditions.

AC Milan is having good squad even like few other top Italian clubs they are also lacking funds but still good job and enough chances for the win into Europa League now having 6 points difference from the fourth spot team Fiorentina which mean they can stay into another hunt for the Champions League into next season which can make things good for them and improved finances as well.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to check if an altcoin is a scam on: January 06, 2024, 08:32:23 PM
Though it's true that tokens and coins added in centralized exchanges are more credible, however, this shouldn't be a metric to mark a project scam or untrustworthy because some serious projects might also struggle getting a spot in a centralized exchange and it also takes some time to work on all these things such as collaborations and agreements with different platforms and exchanges, and I know this because I have worked with cryptocurrency projects in the past and I know the process.

I think two of the biggest indicators of a project being legit or scam are its team and the social media presence. One should check the team first of all, if they aren't satisfied, they shouldn't invest in it. If satisfied with the team, one should check their online presence and how much interactions they have with their followers and whether they have bought followers or real ones.
252  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ESSENTIALLY SIMPLE TRADING FACTORS THAT EVERY TRADER SHOULD CONSIDER on: January 06, 2024, 07:04:58 PM
Patience is the most important thing when it comes to trading, and when a trader enters a financial market as a new trader, they shouldn't be in a hurry to make a profit because when you are impatient, you can't make money but you will only lose your money hastily making trades where you are not sure about the outcome and you are making blind predictions and such predictions can barely make you money in financial markets especially if the market is so volatile and unpredictable.

A lot of people think that it's not difficult to earn money in the cryptocurrency market because they see others earning, they see their profit receipts and think they can do it as well but they ignore the fact that those who are doing it have been in the market for some time and they have enough knowledge and experience about trading.
253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin have behaved like a fine wine 🍷 on: January 06, 2024, 11:42:23 AM
Bitcoin is really a fine wine,🍷 because it gets better with age, since it creation, it has progress significantly into an asset that is worth having,  from the days when it's value was not even up to $100 to now that it's over $42000 plus, I just believe that after this next halving it will gets even better, and now is the best time to DCA into Bitcoin, because the reward will be worthy of the wait.

Right now, it's just a 14 years old teenager still trying to find it feet in terms of adoption all over the world.
But am really confidence that it will get even better from it value, popularity and adoption because it's a fine wine 🍷 that gets better with age.
It is true that we are getting a lot more than what we bargained for, it should be considered as something that would benefit everyone, it could be a lot more important if we know what we are doing. I believe that we are going to end up with a bit of a better situation without a doubt.

I think the way it has grown and became something big is quite important, and it could definitely be something that would benefit us all. It Is not really a great big deal if we couldn't grow even bigger than this, a life where bitcoin is stuck under 100k, the biggest it goes is to like 90k's and doesn't go beyond 100k is still not terrible, but even with that information, I am sure that it will definitely pass beyond that for sure.
For the most maybe, but for some, they don't know how to bargain and HODL. They still can benefit if they will use BTC as a currency but not all countries have legalized BTC.

Yes, if we want to improve and get out of trouble, it is important to know what we are doing or going to do. We can ask someone or make our own research about it. The growth of BTC is important for both hodlers and active currency users, as it makes the price rise and the support of BTC wider. If in case BTC didn't go this far, yes we still accept it. At least the founder or his coin tried their best to offer us something out of the box which are also very useful and profitable.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Talk community's input has made a real impact on: January 06, 2024, 04:54:32 AM
How is that a win-win when you could get a spin every day before and now it's been reduced to just one spin? And what does that have to do with the Bitcointalk community? How did the community have any influence over that decision? It would be best if you cleared these things first for the readers to understand what you are trying to convey here.

Besides, I don't see any potential in that project and it looks like some kind of HYIP to me, I would never risk my 0.1 BNB to get a few tokens that might not even have any value and the project might fail before it makes it to the market and gain any hype and then price value.

So, I wouldn't suggest anyone invest their money in the project. Instead, one should invest the same amount in another altcoin that has growth potential.
255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites and current transactions fee on: January 05, 2024, 07:40:10 PM
The bitcoin had the potential to give more dollars this year,So better to hold your bitcoin rather using in the gambling site.Because why it was essentially to use the same bitcoin to gamble when it had potential to double itself by it’s dominance in the cryptocurrency market. If you consider the fee of the bitcoin also huge difference, because the transaction fee of the Usdt is 3$ worth of tron. But the transaction fee for the bitcoin was reduced to 10$ now.And the playing of the gambling is the risky one,the gambler had no use for the bitcoin to use in gambling. My opinion is hold the bitcoin for the market reaction and it’s better to use the Usdt for gambling. So you save 7$ from the fee and the winning also withdraw with less transaction fee.
Even if a person doesn't have any intentions of holding their Bitcoins for the upcoming bull run, it's still not a wise decision to pay more than $10 in fees for a $50 transaction because most gamblers are average bettors and they don't always make very large transactions, and if you are making small Bitcoin transactions in these network conditions, you are spending more money on fees in a week than you used to spend in months before. So it's undoubtedly better to use alternatives for gambling at this time.

In my opinion, gambling with USDT or other stablecoins is also better for more clear and straightforward calculations. This means that you won't need to keep converting your available balance into USDT first using a search engine or another source just to know how much money you have and how much you've won or lost so far.
256  Economy / Gambling / Re: Finding a Bug on: January 05, 2024, 07:04:33 PM
It should be beneficial for the casino to try to identify errors/problems in the operation of the website or casino software. Because the financial security and profit of the casino directly depend on this. Any sane casino will offer rewards for finding bugs for white-hat hackers and ordinary users, or even organize hackathons.
For sure before a casino is launched, there is what operators always do and that is make sure to test all the system of the casino systems to make sure they are bug-free because any casino that has a bug problem will likely not succeed in terms of revenue generations which is an integral part of the casino operation.
Some casinos even give incentives to expect bug hunters to run several private hunts on their systems before the site goes live, The majority of the casinos that crashed along the way are all doing so because of a lack of proper bug tests and exploitation of the system via the bug or other system failures.
Generally, it's not only before the launch, but some platforms would have a bug bounty for a pretty long time when they start their platform so that users that find the bugs report it to them to get the reward instead of trying to exploit the bugs and steal from the casino. I believe some people might try to do that instead of reporting the bugs because a lot of people think it's easy to use a bug or something in a platform and then steal from the system.

If a platform, whether it's a casino, a new cryptocurrency project, or anything in general, doesn't have a specific bug bounty, you will barely get anything from them if you report a bug because they will say that unfortunately they don't have a bug bounty right now and they might compensate you later for it but you won't get anything later.
257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Focus on how much you may lose and not only the potential win. on: January 05, 2024, 05:38:33 PM
It's indeed a good thing to consider the other side of the coin. It is indeed a possibility to win, but it is also equally a possibility to lose. The problem with many gamblers is that we are sometimes too assuming, too excited for the possibility of winning that we sometimes forget not to equate it with certainty.

Even myself I sometimes plan or compute how my betting would be after I win this or that amount, but it is not actually the reality. The reality is that I have yet to win all of those money. And winning is not even assured.
The coin has two sides, so we can't just focus on one side and disregard the other. But anyway, I just found out that the coin toss is not equally 50/50. And how much more the gambling games that are held inside the casinos? I'm sure the losing chance on them is higher than the winning chance.

Assuming to win is actually better than assuming that we will lose. But, then there is this scenario that the more we expect the less it will happen. Computing or planning is possible even before we play gambling. For me, my plan is to continue betting till I use up the excess amount from my total winnings. After that, I withdraw and stop playing gambling for a while.
258  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: January 05, 2024, 04:34:35 PM
Even though people on bitcointalk felt something was wrong and not going well for BC.Game, I can tell, firsthand, that they have been growing like crazy. Record number of monthly new players they have been generating in recent months (overall, not BTCGOSU related).
Only those who are not aware of what’s going on in bcgame will think this way and those that just based their judgment off some few scam accusation threads that sprung up in the past.

If you are active in bcgame Ann thread you’ll be able to figure out that a lot of things are happening behind the scenes and this site has been experiencing a lot of growth when compared with other platforms – I had to switch from my previous casino to bc after a few try and if I’m to rank all casinos that I’ve used bcgame is going to come out in my top 4.
A few scam accusations are not enough to come up with a conclusion that the site is really a scam. And maybe those people who judge wrongly didn't understand properly what they have read? Or they don't make a research about it, only to confirm if the accusation is true or not. It's sad that innocent and legit casinos don't know that they are affected by these things. If the fault of those who make false scam accusations, these people are losers, literally.

Well, I don't wonder anymore on why they never got paid. Other platforms are also good but if they don't try harder, I'm afraid that they will get overcome by this site here.
259  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How diverse is your crypto portfolio? on: January 05, 2024, 03:11:22 AM
I am the type of person who doesn't believe in extreme diversification and I only invest in cryptocurrencies that I know has the potential to provide profits in the long term because a portfolio should consist of assets that you plan to hold for the long term which is why I don't consider cryptocurrencies that I buy and sell for short time intervals to be a part of my portfolio, or I should say my long-term portfolio.

I often see people having a very long list of assets in their portfolio and they have very small amounts invested in several different cryptocurrencies. I know that diversification is a good thing, but that isn't the right way to do it. You should have a few cryptocurrencies to have your capital spread in them.

Diversification provides higher profit potential, but when you invest small amounts in so many assets, that potential is reduced.
260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: January 04, 2024, 08:15:51 PM
This year in Europa League and Conference we dont see so much surprises. So we have two roads ahead, o the competitions still without surprises or all the surprises come now and we are gonna start to see a few big teams choking against weak or smallers teams.
It is still too early to expect some surprises in the Europa League or in the Conference League, because those things will probably happen in the round of 16 and also in the round of eight later in the Europa League and also in the Conference League. So everyone can just enjoy the match as usual here in the Europa League before seeing the surprise that makes a big team eliminated by a small team, but for now I still don't think that that will happen again this season because there are a lot of big teams who will try not to be eliminated so that they can make the competition in the European League this season even fiercer than last season.
UEFA events are famous for their surprises and shocking events which is nothing new currently we are having all set for the round of 16 in Champions League and qualifiers for the Europa League and Conference League as well with few surprises can happen here as well because few teams are having not good time and these can lost their spots even we are considering them favourite right now we have too many options but teams performance and quality are also important with currently many leagues are having decline in performance and quality which is surely going to have impact on their team's performance in these events as well.

Currently, we can't predict who is going to have better results with just Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen are having performance which is giving them tag of hot favourite for the cup, all others need to do hard work for this all.
