Mich irritiert der aktuelle LTC-Hype ein bisschen. Macht es wirklich Sinn, da jetzt rein zu kaufen? Alle sagen, China loves LTC, und es wird eine ordentliche Rally erwartet... Bin, was das angeht, ein gebranntes Kind, denn LTC war mein Trading-Lehrgeld ^^ LTC, weisz nicht... aber ein wenig ETH sollte man sich schon auf die Seite legen denk ich. Who knows. |

Ahh ick treu mir  Hoffentlich gehts noch ein bisschen weiter hoch und wird direkt von den Medien verwurstet! Wenn das so weitergeht, dann zieht KNC seinen Insolvenzantrag noch zurück  Diese Scammer haben eh genug BTC auf die Seite geschafft, keine Sorge. Der Insolvenzantrag ist nur das formelle "Fuck You" an die Investoren  Und schuld sind die Chinesen, wer sonst... Knc sind keine scammer. Ich war in stockholm, habe sam cole kennengelernt, als hier in den foren viele voller hass auf knc losgegangen sind und behaupteten das wäre betrug, die würden es niemals schaffen einen funktionierenden miner zu bauen. wir haben sam vertraut und lagen richtig. Ich hab einen Batch 1 - Neptune Pre-geordert. Es sind einfach miese Typen, durch und durch. Davon abgesehen waere der Konkurs bestimmt zu verhindern gewesen. |

That makes me wonder a bit... strange, strange. They should be able to still mine a profit with their 0,5J/GH Hardware. A 100TH/s makes about 3.5k$/m and 50kW would cost them about 2k2$/m in power @0.06$/kWh. Overhead? Shouldn't be too many people required to run the mine. Rent? Couple of thousands a month, we are talking ~1k$ profit per 50kW per month so that's ~100k$ for a 5MW mine - are the shacks in northern Sweden really so expensive? No point in switching off just now, can't they even afford to run it as long as after the halving? Look how the price develops? And then there are other stories like the stabbing, them not behaving exactly generous with their customers, not investing in new chips obviously, not selling hardware for reasons beyond me etc. |

Afaik r9 380 (non x) is best $/mh especially the 2GB models, however the point about Nano resale value is very relevant especially with 14nm just around the corner. Still 18 Nano's are insanely expensive  Are the 2GB a limitation in any way on the claymore miner, as it isn't using a DAG anyways? Claymore's miner still uses a DAG. It just creates it directly on the GPU, instead of creating it on disk and then uploading it from disk to the GPU. So yes, the 2GB limitation still applies (though it sounds from posts here like 2GB cards are still working for the time being). Seems like the DAG is around 1,45GB. Thats what my cards use of memory. Thanks for the input! How come the miner can start mining almost immediately then? |

So right way would be,
secondary: power all cards that it can handle only thru pcie power connectors and nothing more.
primary: everything else, mb, drives, all risers, leftover cards power.
This is not up to the topic, but I'm curious with it. My point of view is to power any card from the one source only. So, if I use USB risers, the card is not connected to the motherboard in terms of 12V power. Then, why to mix the power sources? I power 3 cards by the secondary PSU (both PCI-E and SATA/Molex) and 3 cards by the primary one. The primary PSU also powers the motherboard (both, CPU jack and additional Molex jack) and HDD. Am I doing wrong? Why? Im not sure about usb risers but those powered ribbon extensions connect +12V directly to mb and straight to primary psu. So thats the connection shorting two psu-s and if voltages differ there's unwanted current that does nothing but stress mb and riser and atx connection. Have some risers burned but after connecting all to primary no more problems. I've also ran rig from 3 lo-end psu-s and this way connecting all works fine. The USB Riser's shouldn't do that - also I don't see a reason why the powered risers should... maybe because like that they are also working when unpowered? |

I just hope it's real and we get some very interesting sidehack sticks with these chips while the big miners containing these chips skyrocket in price.
I would love to have some sticks made with these chips, I hope they do release them to the public then. sidehack who? bitfury talked to him? punin promised to make some chips available for him. guess they have bigger troubles atm |

Waer interessant, wieviele Leute wegen Locky ihre ersten Bitcoin-Erfahrungen machen und ob das den momentanen Kurs ein wenig befluegelt... Ist leider keine gute Werbung für BTC. Aber Werbung = Werbung There is no such thing as bad publicity Ein wenig fies ist wahrscheinlich, dass die meisten nur einen Bitcoin kaufen werden und dann nach Abzug der Fees genau um ein paar Zerquetschte nicht genug haben um den Schluessel zu kaufen... und wohl nachkaufen muessen....
