I'm glad the rest of you got your units finally, though.

Everybody did? I didn't...

Successfully dealt. Can recommend.

What's the hashrate with the wire mod @400 or 460Mhz? I got a 1000W PSU on a 3 Module machine, how far will it get me?

@460Mhz  36Ghs per module.

~144GHs for a 4 module unit.   This consumes about 1700watt at the wall.

3 Modules should get you 108Ghs and you would need a 1200 watt supply at minimum.

Also the wire mod alone will not get you any where near 400mhz.  you need to hardware adjust your voltage up to at least 1.3 volts (im at 1.36v)  and you must do something about cooling!!!!!!

Cooling shouldn't be an issue, mine are already water cooled (see my sig).
However I have to calculate if the increase justifies soldering around on my Avalons - also I have to solder it back one day probably...
28 Ghash more is not little, but I need to buy new PSU's and after all I could just buy some ASICMINER blades for 10btc which will give me more hashrate at less power consumption.

whoa that wire mod looks sick...
do you think w/o an overvolt that more consistent voltage will help HW% errors drop and thus a bit higher clock even at stock voltage? cuz that mod seems simple enough.

From what I have read from others on Burnins board thread they are seeing big changes in performance with just a 10mv difference.

a 16awg wire should be good for 10a without much voltage drop.

it will be a couple of days before I can finish up on the watercooling stuff before I can fire the boards up and take some measurements.

Interesting.
Is the existing voltage supply going to be able to deliver enough current?
1107  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon Water Cooling on: August 24, 2013, 09:20:15 AM
Yes. I also invite you to have a look at the manufacturing drawing I published  Wink

the reason for asking is because though yr diagram states g1/4
the pictures are too small, i can't see if there are screw threads or not.

just trying to clarify that's all

please feel free to download the pdf by clicking!

are u making this for manufacturing?

If you tell me a desired volume I can get you quote. For delivery cost I would need a location. Do you need the water blocks only or the whole system?

RED FLAG # 5It's BFL.
1112  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] - GROUP BUY of BITFURY Chips + DRILLBIT SYSTEM mining assembly on: August 17, 2013, 04:02:24 PM
Is my math off, or this this much more expensive than from megabigpower or bitfurystrikesback?
Can have some numbers? Smiley

8000$ for 400GH here https://megabigpower.com/shop/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=53 equals 20$ for a GH and with 16x16 = 256 chips a 31.25$ per 55nm Bitfury chip.

    * Updates Aug 8th

    • Board and Assembly prices are now up.
    • 8 chip Drillbit Board (including chips) - $300
    • 1 chip Drillbit Thumb (including chip) - $99

    [/list]

    8 chips represent 8*2.7 = 21.6GH and cost 300$ so 13.88$ for a GH or 37$ per chip.

I must admit that the OC capabilities probably make good for the up charge per chip...

What country did you decide on for your Bitcoin-based company?

None. There was a good arbitrage opportunity before, but now with not getting money out of Gox it's meaningless.

1116  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Novec 7000 Project [immersive evaporating cooling] on: August 11, 2013, 09:21:27 AM

Yes, I have seen the full video and I'm basing on the design to make the final tank, now I have the problem of deciding which chiller used, i think I'll buy a HAILEA HC-2200BH.
I will install 15 avalon in a space of 80cm and hopefully with this chiller is sufficient but the truth is that i have no idea.

    http://www.hailea.com/e-hailea/product1/HC-2200BH.htm

I don't find the cooling power specs of this chiller, however 7A electrical means 7x230=1610Watts, which is roughly double of what I have installed for my 3 Avalons.
My chiller is absolutely at the limit with the temperatures we are having at the moment in Shanghai.

I would recommend to use a fluid with higher boiling point and not use a chiller at all, just a dry or wet cooling tower, depending on your location and the fluid.

    Hi,

could you stick a proforma invoice on the parcel? What would delivery to Austria/Europe be for 8 cards and 2 mobos? Do you have 8 identical cards and two identical mobos holding them without risers?
1119  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Video Cards on: August 10, 2013, 07:31:05 PM

What happened? Is nobody interested in Bitcoin anymore?
No postings here, no volume on the exchanges, WTF.
