Did anybody see the prototype at bitcoin2013?

$20 seems like a fair price to me. That's more than 30% up on January's price which is pretty good.

Thing is it has gotten a little more than 30% more difficult to produce a BTC since January...

However I still think it might be the early ASIC buyers who go for their good $ ROI at the moment. We will see - won't take long until ASIC mining isn't anymore what it is now.

then the no-brainer approach will be to sell your coin now, and stock up on your fiat, ...
As a "no-brainer", thats just what I did Cheesy

Exactly this is why the price was falling now. However market theory says that this is all priced in the 103$ we have now.
Obviously the Sunday dumps will not go on forever...

Newbie trader here. Would like some trading tips. I see consolidation is happening right around $105.00-$106.00 area for the past few hours. Usually does this mean it will break out upward after or will it drop? Thanks in advance.

Be careful, they will tell you the opposite they think is going to happen to take your money  Grin
I'll give you both scenarios. If the stock remains on 105-106 for the whole week, expect a drop to ~$80 again. if there's a move up in the price, it'll happen during the week, if not, brace yourselves....

If the stock remains right around $105-$106 why would you expect a drop?

Because some sellers need to sell every week at whatever price..

..and they are forced to do this on the weekends.

I hear BTC being sold...

Will the current price hold without our good friend wallzila?

Actually the only thing worrying me for the middle term BTC price is the legal situation in USA.
How is that now? Still endangered by the department for homeland security?

Well if that is the case, then Hello under $50. I wonder what the Asics companies like Avalon with 68,000 btc in wallet will do..

What makes you think that Avalon are holding 68k BTC ? Did they say something ?

I would have thought they'd sell as needed when producing.

If this moves.... Grin

That's a lot of BTC !

in responsible hands.

What type are the thermocouples used on batch #2 heat sinks? Do they have any function besides regulating the fan speed?
I want to water-cool my Avalon - should I put in a thermocouple or can I use a fixed resistor for instance?
1252  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 07, 2013, 10:06:51 AM
There any news? Are just sales after the dump last week?

The Miner is working again! I am soooo glad.  Grin Grin Grin Grin
They guy my wife hired to change the power supply did a sloppy job, one of the yellow wires was pushed back into it's connector.
6.5 hours pure flight time to solve the problem in 10 minutes. What do we learn from this? You want it done -> do it yourself.

Thanks all!

Without an available bitstream for the Avalon, that will be impossible.  The .bit file available is just a test file which blinks the LEDs on the front of the unit.

The real bitstream is available at https://github.com/BitSyncom/avalon-ref/tree/master/FPGA

I am delighted to hear that. Is it likely that an FPGA looses it's programming? I guess not, ha?
Is there a compatible popular development environment / standard / board where some instructions exist on the net?

This. If you can't get it working, I can program your FPGA flash for you.

Thanks a bunch! Where are you located?

The programming isn't stored on the FPGA, it's stored on a separate piece (flash memory) that's connected to the FPGA. Everytime the FPGA "boots" up it loads its programming from the flash memory. I'm in the US.

*Edit* Actually xiangfu recommended upgrading your TP-Link firmware. That is an easy process that you can do from the Luci web GUI. Did you already try that?

Yes. Log on pastebin. Didn't change much as far as I can tell.

time to trade in the wife or the Avalon

What sells higher at the moment? The wife would be kind of package deal with kids attached...

Probably depends on the ROI on the kids. There's always a chance that one of the younglings will make it in Hollywood!

Asian kids don't sell for much unfortunately. Too much supply.

I'm an expat - so we are talking about a really scarce good here... I wouldn't mind however if somebody could have a look at the log I've posted and tell me what might be the problem.
Or somebody point me to how to reprogram the FPGA.

@el_rlee
Where is your location?
I have a complete controller set of a batch 1 Avalon, to borrow until you have a new one.
I'm from Switzerland.

Regards
Tinu

Thanks for the offer, I am in Shanghai. I will fly home tomorrow and have a look myself, if I can't fix it I will gladly remember this.

Is the fuse F1 a semiconductor fuse or just a glass tube with a wire inside? Either way, wouldn't it be sufficient to just cut it with a side cut or so?
