You should make that post bold as it is "The market in few words" for all newcomers to read.

Shame you're not academic, you could always use that line for bullshits you're posting.

UK pound could lose up to 15% if run on UK debt due to break up of United Kingdom ...

hmmm, got bitcoin?

it's already down 7%

Even though we haven't gone up in price yet, I wonder what the ones that shorted 10K BTC are thinking now that paypal is integrating.

Any of those shorters here in this thread?  I'd love to hear your thoughts.

It's pretty shocking for Bitcoin to not react on such strong news, maybe it will after news spread though few months ago it would go up 100$ in few hours but Paypal is still long way to go, even this Braintree just announced it will implement Bitcoin in few months.

Enough time for more downtrend and there is barely any confidence left in it after several fake breakouts. Only some big whales could push this up, us small fishes are scared to move.

Low volume dumps. We either haven't seen anything and worst is to come or there is no much will to sell at these levels anymore.

Fucking journalists on it immediately sending him emails.

The fact they called Theymos "Michael" hints to me that they are either active in the community or have access to previous emails.

Im sure its not hard to find his first name. But in my research/lurking I have never come across it.

I dont even know if his name is Michael. But I just assume so now

Good note.

Good thing is that he didn't cause any damage. And boy he could, if he just posted that he is dumping his coins we'd flash crash like never before.

Jorge strikes me as an intelligent guy. Scare away noobs? Why would he waste his time on that. An accomplished CS professor investing time to scare noobs.. cmon.
1. He's in for the sport (trolling that is).
2. He's on a payroll
3. He's too insane to explain and we're to normal to understand. Tongue

Jorge is fucking idiot who still thinks Bitcoin will fail despite it going mainstream in front of his eyes on daily basis.

Remember the dollar is stronger right now than it was a few weeks ago... almost 10% so. Thus, add 10%-20% so versus other baskets of currency and about 5% against gold. If you factor that in... the price really isn't quite as low as you think. A little low. Not as low as you think, though.

Good point. Dollar slaughtered other currencies recently.

Worst thing that could happen now is if COIN gets approved, that would immediately send us down to 100$.

I have more btc than I did last night.

Keep on dumping tards.
I was a bear once, when we were at like 800. All this is giving me an unfair amount of BTC relative to the rest of the world. Still, could be worse....I could be the FBI or something.

I agree with that dude whose signature says this: "They are trying to buy all the bitcoins: We must not let them."

Means you dumped last night too  Grin

But anyway, since Braintree claims they'll add Coinbase to their system in coming months, there's surely time left to go more down
2414  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 08, 2014, 07:30:20 PM
But just imagine what would happen if these news were out in January/February, lol.

Overstock made price to pump 200$ in a day, Paypal would pump it 2000$  Grin

what a strange day, lol  Grin

Great news everybody! Braintree will allow paypal merchants to accept fiat via coinbase who takes bitcoin! Awesome =) That worked out so well for the price with the other merchants. But this is much bigger so whatever we have seen happening to the price so far should accelerate and completely wipe out all bids. Congratulations! Bitcoin made it.

No, they are adding support for a new currency. The conversion from one currency to the other, when involve BTC, will go through coinbase. That's all.

If they link Paypal user accounts with Coinbase allowing them to buy through CB with user's PP money then... if you know what I mean..
2417  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 08, 2014, 07:16:50 PM
Price effect of this implementation depends weather Paypal will allow users to buy Bitcoin through it's platform.

If they do that, than it's nothing but moon with 150 million Paypal users.

If they don't allow it immediately, then there is going to be selling pressure, yes.

But whatever the effect is on the price short term, Paypal implementing Bitcoin means mainstream time baby, and that's nothing but bullish long term.

We made it guys. It doesn't mean necessarily we're going 100 up tonight (we would go 200$ up in good old Gox days though) but that's it - Bitcoin is going mainstream.

Right!!!  I would expect a little panic buying over this but oh well.  It is just a matter of time now for sure.

It's priced in since May rally probably but yeah, I'd expect few bucks run too. Anyway, it's happening, sooner or later.
