1481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin market continues to gain momentum on: July 15, 2020, 11:58:16 PM
For those who patiently waiting, they have seen the growth however small but for those who are looking for bull run I don;t think they can see the growth because they want to double or triple the price right away, market continues to improve and the right time will come when we can say we are finally in bull run period.
This time is not what we are waiting for, l think the right time is just away from us and no doubt it will take time to see the right time. Most investors are waiting for the altcoin season. l hope it will happen as soon as, it is not an exaggeration to say that it won't happen nowadays, maybe at the end of the year. Focusing only on the large market cap altcoins will not make anyone rich unless you have tons of greenback and want to take 4-10% from your investments.

1483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think online casinos can effectively prevent underage gambling? on: July 14, 2020, 07:39:03 PM
In case of winning big amounts with one strike, the parents will be proud of that kid and the underage problem will not be actual in reality. In theory, yeah, everything is almost near the perfect with "do" or "don't do" analogies. Mothers have to be double careful if they have caught browsing the non-appropriate websites included gambling sites. Generally, casinos apply KYC rules for credit card deposits and this prevents kids to use this funding option.

I am also aware of the how fast the crypto casinos grow. It was first Primedice, Stake now Roobet, the total turnovers are more than what I have thought. I was curious about the competitions on the "games and rounds" board and decided to check one. The Yolodice has announced new low number hunt competitions a week ago with 20 ETH prize pool plus the 50% profit of casino. At the end of contest, the total prize pool has climbed to 64 ETH...

Crypto base casino are really taking the gambling world into the next level. A lot of competitions and there might be a few unheard casinos as well that is thriving that we are not aware of. Familiar names and new are just popping up everywhere trying to get a piece of this billion dollar industry.

So I will not surprised if we hit a numbers similar to fiat base casinos as more gamblers find it easy to really just play crypto more at the comfort of their homes.
New competitions also have the double sword feature, some smart gamblers can use the promo as a backdoor for the well-managed game strategy. Jumping the bandwagon is the worst side and some users forget about the other side of medallion: Losing the bankroll before reaching the top.

Yeah, the casino in your signature is pretty huge in itself and the forum is actually dominated by signature campaigns that are being dominated by our sweet casinos and sportsbooks industry which is amazing.

I don't think there is a realistic way to measure the gambling market but I would imagine every 10 transactions that happen in the bitcoin blockchain, at least 4 or 5 of them are related to gambling or similar services. The number of transactions have reduced because the casinos have their own wallet system so you don't have to make a transaction as you make every bet, like directbet used to operate on that model earlier.
Signature campaigns and new promotions are beneficial for both parties, so it is just a small expense considering the potential gain.
1485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kudos to Bitcasino.io on: July 10, 2020, 09:00:53 PM
Definitely a PR move from the Casino to keep their frustrated player due to hack.  It is a nice move indeed, I commend Bitcasino.io in providing calming action towards their hacked player.   I bet OP had learned his lesson to always enable 2fa or any secondary layer of security to his account.  I hope every Casino will act the same way as Bitcasino in dealing with the same situation.
While I am all praise for them doing such an act but I would never want all the casinos to do the same because this might give birth to intentionally leaking out your coins via a VPN and then crying to them for getting free bets/spins.

I understand OP was genuinely hacked and a great gesture was shown by bitcasino to provide him free spins and doing so they also retained their gambler and he would now never gamble on any other casino, so yeah amazing of them to use this strategy but I think if every casino starts doing the same thing then people will become rather lazy and more hacks will be done some real while some to get free spins.
I doubt the casino will do the same PR move if the cases are more than 10 at the same week. The low amounts are just salt for promotion and the content of promo will be shared as we discuss this issues now. The anti-cheat systems work perfectly for detecting promo abusers and bonus hunters, so the same rules will be the elimination rules in the mentioned case.
1486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No exchange? No Value! on: July 09, 2020, 11:53:56 PM
unfortunately, there are not so many possibilities for you to get rid of them.
first of all, you can try and find a buyer manually, on this forum for instance
second of all, you can wait for some other exchange list it again
And last but not least - do not invest in unlimited alts or at least make sure they're worth of time and money
Of course, OTC alternatives will be the best exit gate in a lack of exchange choice. In general, it doesn't worth spending time with bounties or investing in cheap projects with no future plans and risk calculation. Surely, when the market becomes bullish the dead projects will have another opportunity to prove their whitepaper.
1487  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The right mindset needed for all traders on: July 09, 2020, 11:24:33 PM
So if you trade by emotions you will very likely loose money on the longterm. Therefore you should try to stick to your strategy and use as much technical tools for chart analysis to avoid trades lead by emotions

Traders who are extremely emotional do not apply TA at all before buying a coin. If for example you analyze properly, you should know where to set your stop limit (stop loss) and sell order. What I normally do is, after buying a coin, I set sell order and SL using OCO incase the market goes south.
Using stop loss or no is subjective and every trader has a different set of rules in trading, especially for volatile global markets trading without SL can lead to stop out or margin call. Precaution is mandatory in such cases and using take profit orders will guarantee the profit at the end of the trade.
1488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: One game vs a variety: which gives higher potential to a casino? on: July 09, 2020, 10:19:07 PM
I've recently created a thread about the lack of success of new casinos, and one of the replies was the following:
The chances are low and odds are against unless the new casino aims to be a specific game focused gambling platform. The long term success will happen but there are questions have to be answered by the team before going to accept this decision: Will they be able to advertise among the new casino and gain the trust of players among all the old established brand casinos?
My question is, do you believe that a casino that focuses on a specific game is more likely to succeed than a casino that offers a variety of options? Is there any data related to the topic, and what is your personal opinion on the matter? Bustabit and Primedice are good examples of casinos centered around one game, but FortuneJack and Bitcasino.io succeeded with the opposite strategy. When you're choosing a casino, which seem more appealing to you: those that offer one game or those offering many games?
Yes, I still hold the same opinion and there is no reason to believe the all followers have to agree with me. The Chinese game focused casinos which I have liked most mainly focus on the unique games or they put more effort on one side of the "weighing machine". Btw, it will not cost big, and having an extra budget will let the management develop the features of the casino as agreed with gamblers.

1490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There is no ROI if the crypto is a stablecoin on: July 08, 2020, 11:13:27 PM
As easy as it sounds, it is not rocket science to understand the simple concept behind creating the stablecoins. There is no need to withdraw the fiat after making a profit in trading and vice versa. The problem is the real value behind the new stable coins, Tether is not reliable after the many accusations against Bitfinex's random BTC pumps.
1491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: July 08, 2020, 10:40:21 PM
Bounty project is no longer profitable to those who believe its not profitable. As for me, I join good bounties from good bounty companies like Bounty Detectives. The company is doing so well at the moment and I see more good projects coming from them.
That is right Bounty project is not so profitable as expected, but l think during all these years there is no need to reinvent something new, which people like to do. If you make good research, you can find some bounties and get passive income, it is better than nothing. The bounty management which you mentioned also looks good, l think you are on the right way, keep doing. One day these decisions can change your future vision.
1492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kudos to Bitcasino.io on: July 08, 2020, 10:14:55 PM
It happens, at least you have learned a valuable and expensive lesson from the process. Having an additional layer of security is not useless, I agree it is sometimes time-wasting checking the phone for getting 60 seconds valid 2FA code but hackers will not be able to access the account without the authorization from your side. Get a second-hand phone which has no access to internet and you are good to go. The response of the casino is very professional, btw.
1493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we still enjoy the anonymity in gambling in the long run? on: July 07, 2020, 11:23:37 PM
Depending on the "heaven" rules of location, the anonymity is not fully implemented on many casinos. The casino management always uses the terms and conditions in their favour and they put some lines on this page for preventing the user to avoid the KYC, AML. The anonymity will be there on small casinos but crossing the red limits will lead to passing the KYC sooner or later.

1. You buy BTC
2. You buy something off the Internet with some of it
3. You gamble the rest without mixing your coins, using your real IP or name

Your anonymity is already gone. Gone after the fingerprints you left in the immutable ledger. Full anonymity would probably only happen if a coin such as XMR ever gets to have gambling DApps to combine the privacy features of the coin with blockchain-based bets. Otherwise, the "full anonymity" mostly falsely remains in your head.

The article even gets crypto payments the wrong way around:

Quote
Crypto wallets are confidential, as details are only known by the owners. This is another aspect that makes cryptocurrencies endeared to gamblers because of payment anonymity.

Some people may find it challenging to gamble based on limited stakes and restrictions made to specific regions. Cryptocurrencies are eradicating these challenges based on the anonymity offered.

Payments with crypto in general do not provide anonymity and even when using XMR it's of no help if you're using a centralized platform. Moreover, using XMR, VPN or both possibly triggers a KYC request from the website before you are allowed to withdraw any money from it. Try registering on Binance with Mail2Tor through Tor Browser and then depositing some XMR, trading and finally withdrawing - can you? I assure you the answer is 99% negative.

So yeah, privacy is mostly gone right now and I see it worse when it comes to gambling. I'm usually very much against the way privacy gets stripped away from us however, but I am personally fine with it strictly when it comes to betting. It provokes addiction and there are some age groups I guess we all want to keep off it.
Well explained, I agree with detailed analysis.
1494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Spike on the News? on: July 07, 2020, 10:44:42 PM
Probably rumors on social media and smart guys tried to buy the news for later selling the fact. The small spike is nothing and this pump will be swallowed by big guys in 2 days, IMHO. First come first serve rule is the new unbreakable rule of such a news pump. The spike will go down after the dying HYPE, from my experience.
1495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Luckyfish accepting kids on: July 07, 2020, 10:12:40 PM
Thanks everyone for your reply.
Won't even waste my time arguing my mother skills,as I m a great parent and if I didn't care I wouldn't be here or caught  my don doing it.

U believe  casino have dury of care, I do not gamble myself but read lots of horror  stories and  insurers don't want my son to gamble and have gambling so close to reach.

I have checked and this casino only accept emails, not full name not documents before or after.
never.

Since the UK has a very good reputation on protecting  vulnerable and minors I will expect this site to be investigated  and if they are not licensed they can operate elsewhere.

This site should be dark in the UK, and call me naive but I do believe  its us adult  that needs to protect our kids from predators.

A big thank you for those who showed compassion without judging as there is not perfect  parent and ill do my best to protect my kids, even fight the gambling industry if is needed.

I am not alone who wants her kids far
 from this predators.

Best  Regards to you all.
It is more about parental responsibility rather than blaming casinos for not filtering the new users based on age, geolocation, wealth. You can read different stories on the internet related to the unresistible behaviors of both kids&parents but the weight of parental control is heavier than blaming other sides. Some smart kids even can spend the balance of dad with single click when he is away from home and no password protection on a personal computer.
1496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Extraordinary performance of ether price on: July 07, 2020, 08:28:52 PM
It is july here mate and you have posted an old post from june i guess, anyways i fundamentally agree with the point that eth is potentially much more bullish in coming months especially considering the upcoming pos and eth 2.0 launch so i place eth as a high return coin from here on.

This is great news for all holder of eth, and it's been long years that we're waiting for eth to recover to best potential value. Keep on holding every asset that you owned right now and for sure we will be benefited by this decisions, and also for platforms under ethereum which is tokens under it's contract will also be possible to gain a better commendable value sooner.
That is really good news as above mentioned, ETH is my favourite coin, which is more profitable among other altcoins in my mind. But more than that we have been waiting for ETH2.0 for long time. As you said we will make a good profit by ETH investment, but it seems it will take a bit of time. Most ETH holders think that ETH2.0 will affect on the price of ETH and it will start improving. We should be a bit more patient, l hope it will be worthwhile.
1497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: July 06, 2020, 11:19:15 PM
As has happened in several places after the opening of a tourist site and / or other industry, at least they are worried about the spread of the virus in the second wave and the threat will always be there, this virus is still there and has not disappeared and the vaccine has not been found and even though they implement the protocol health is not still not going to guarantee 100% protected from coronavirus infection.

Exactly, that's why they are recovering the business to help the economy, the virus will continue to infect people if they are not careful but it should not result to a total lockdown if the government can't feed the people. The economy is very important, without a job, people will suffer from hunger, so we should not treat this virus as something that would stop us and will make us helpless, it should not be that way.
We must find a balance between keeping people safe and protecting the economy, the problem is that many people do not listen, as soon as the economy was opened they went to the streets as if nothing was happening and they took no precautions, things are so bad that were I live some businesses had to close their doors again, people are mad about this but the pandemic grew out of control in the few weeks everything was open so we can only blame ourselves for the current state of the economy.
The situation is same for all spheres of economy and the crisis is only good for opportunists who know how to take advantage or grow their online business model. I don't blame either side, the collective immune idea is the only exit back door in case of failed on both tasks, IMO.
Reminds me:
1498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum's biggest contender? on: July 06, 2020, 10:58:56 PM
I think in the next 2-5 years there will be no platform that can compete with ETH because now ETH is the second mover after BTC for the up and down movements of cryptocurrency prices
BTC is the first decentralized monetary after BTC ETH is the king among altcoins in my mind. But more than that as you above mentioned every platform wants to compete and overcome ETH. But l think it is really hard to achieve this goal. ETH is smart contract platform and still on the first rank. No doubt it will keep standing on this rank.

1500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: COVID19 and Its effect on Bitcoin & Altcoin Price? Your Thoughts ! on: July 06, 2020, 10:16:47 PM
when Covid19 appeared, all stock prices and of course the crypto currency had a terrible dump that occurred in march, but for the crypto currency recovery was very fast, and became a good investment this year
That is right when Covid19 affects on the world economy, this world also has been destroyed. But no exaggeration to say that, BTC has survived from the corona. There is still an impact on the price of other cryptocurrencies. But l hope it will recover from this situation as soon as. Maybe we should be more patient.
