1561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19: Avoid casino, play online on: April 14, 2020, 08:08:57 PM
COVID-19 is still spreading all over the world, there are so many people affected by the virus, there are a lot of people who can not work anymore because of being afraid to go outside.

We should do something to prevent COVID-19 from spreading to each and everyone, if we want to play gamble, please do not go outside and find any nearest casino building just to play. I know that real life casino is better when playing because we can interact to anyone and we can also feel the ambiance of the real life casino but as of this moment, it is better to play online gambling than real life casino, it is better for you to stay at home to avoid contact to many people.

Let us help each and everyone, by simply obeying our authority by staying at home, do not go outside. Let us start stopping the virus, it will all start with ourself.

That was the most probable way possible to be able to play gambling. Since all casinos are temporarily closed due to lockdown restrictions, gamblers have no choice but to stay home and just play into an online casino since it was the easiest and most convenient way possible if they are really eager or do want to play gambling even at home. Do not even try to go outside and play gambling with your neighbors because it is illegal and will promote the spread of virus. Good thing to do is just play online casino through any gadget or device that can be connected online and search for a online casino platform or website and start playing. By this way, gamblers are being able to continue playing and will help to prevent the spread of virus by just staying indoors and no social contact and just playing online in a convenient way possible while still being able to play gambling.
Overgambling can cause other problems that will not be solved easily after the lift of lockdown or quarantine. These types of disadvantages can't be ignored and surely we will see new suicides with the gambling-related headlines, unfortunately. The cycle turns and not everyone is lucky enough to be on the good side of the cycle, from my life experience.
1562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BOUNTY PAYMENT MATTERS on: April 14, 2020, 07:48:05 PM
actually only requires escrow, no need to pay a sum of funds, it's just that escrow isn't as easy as imagined because I'm sure many bounties won't do this because it's a bit troublesome and it seems like our way to avoid scams is to do our own research and choose a person bounty manager who can be trusted and not carelessly in taking a project that wants to run a bounty with their services.

Even if we resort to this method, there is a problem that is difficult to solve.
Projects, for the most part, pay rewards with their own tokens, which subsequently may cost nothing.
Do we need such an escrow? I don’t think so.
This would be appropriate if the projects paid in a more solid currency that entered the market.
The concern of the majority of bounty hunters is the lack of liquidity on the listed exchanges which have no volume after a week. There is no reason to blame the bounty managers or escrow services if there is no demand by the crypto investors. Solid projects know what awaits them in the future and they prepare themselves for these days.
1563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is not in healthy state yet on: April 14, 2020, 07:34:16 PM
Is it so easy for miners to abandon their rigs ? I don't think so. Staying indoor is for the good of everyone. I don't see all this to have so much deep effect aside the great fall we saw at the beginning of it. The market has been like this even before the lockdown orders. We just need this to be over before Bitcoin halving.
I doubt the market will return to normal after the pandemic virus, the world is in a challenging mood. Crypto projects collapse one by one and only strong projects survive. The traders will have other things to do after the pandemic, maybe in the last quarter the downtrend will be over.
1564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Telegram associated with fraudsters on: April 13, 2020, 09:47:24 PM
The long story short: Telegram is the most popular among crypto users as social media. After Twitter, the home of scammers is the Telegram group. Impersonators and fake team members can lead to huge damage to any popular project, unfortunately.
1565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the heck is happening to new projects? on: April 13, 2020, 08:56:28 PM
Does your explanation of good project means when they are been listed on big exchange, if yes then you have to rethink it over. Yes there are not very good projects at the moment, but still go back to the bounties thread and carefully make your research again as I know you will see even one
A good project can be ignored by the big exchanges or it is possible to be squeezed by the competitor project. Every possibility which takes credibility from the project can happen and it is hard to get out of the circle in the bear market.
1566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep track of your gambling? how? on: April 12, 2020, 07:03:21 PM
Actually keeping the record of each bet will be a crazy idea and it can cause psychologically-based illusions. Instead of manging the big data, monitoring the incoming and outgoing transactions will paint a picture for calculating the profit or loss. In the end, it depends on personal management preferences.

1568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers, asking for salary during the shutdown on: April 10, 2020, 10:32:09 PM
Unpopular opinion here... I don't think the casinos should pay the employees during the shutdown.

Casinos pay employees to work, if they're not working why should they get paid? Casinos and most jobs don't care about the livelihoods of their employers, their main purpose is obviously to make money. They clearly won't be making money if they're not even open. Sure, they could continue paying their employees now and go bankrupt off the back of it. Or they could just not pay them and let the government step up to protect its tax payers.

An employer-employee relationship shouldn't mean you should suddenly start paying people to do nothing when shit hits the fan. If these people don't have their own savings then that's on them.
From the business ethics perspective, it is not acceptable to just getting rid of the loyal employees during the long lockdown. The unemployment rate climbed to the high levels since the 2008 worldwide financial crisis and everyone knows what kind of consequences will be actual in the near future. I don't know how big portion of the tax is fulfilled with the paid taxes of casinos but turnover of the casino has to be enough for giving bonuses as a part of salary to loyal employees.

Thanks.
Reason for edit: got 50 bits (thanks Smiley)

I got my bits and decided to try the Satoshi box game. It was fun but the site has reminded me of the old Dendy (console) games Smiley Already lost the received due to the bad luck but the smooth interface was fascinating for gamers without high expectations. Thanks again and keep up the good work.
1570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have control or not? on: April 10, 2020, 07:34:03 PM
-snip-
For someone who already made it a habit and ca enjoy both winning or losing. Well, if you think it is no problem, just gamble every day. But I suggest not playing excessively, especially in the current condition. Who knows the virus outbreak will happen a long time. We are better to make a priority for our activities.
Having a set of priorities will let the gambler to enjoy from other life activities but the lack of alternative will not have the same effect over the long term gambling limitation. Eventually, the gambler will find himself in gambling websites one day and this is the last point which I am afraid of before the totally sacrificing the life savings.
1571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ways to recover from being addicted in gambling. on: April 10, 2020, 07:06:11 PM
It finds myself very hard when you are in that stage (addiction) to get out from the hell. And the one thing that could help to heal that addiction to work for another stuff in order to have no time to go to the casino but rather to spend on our job. But fo course, it can't be an instant...The healing process may take for a while until we finally control ourselves from being addicted.
You must know there are some drugs that can help you to fight your gambling addiction. I don't remember their exact names but serotonin reuptake inhibitors, opioid antagonists, and mood stabilizers are used for that.
Drugs have side effects on your health right? Tho, it's a great use to avoid compulsive gambling.
Here are the possible outcomes of those drugs:

  • dizziness, loss of coordination, fatigue, tingling, burning, blurred vision, insomnia, and vivid dreams.

The best solution is to ask for help on your family, they're the ones that might help and give you a lot of attention so you can get over on gambling addiction. Sooner or later, you'll realize the main problem and will understand the situation you're facing. Antidepressants are also applicable but should be taken moderately to avoid side effects.
I disagree with that. (real) gambling addiction is like drug or alcohol addiction, you can't just ask your family or your friends to help you. It's naive. You have to see a doctor to cure that.
The gambler should have the source of motivation for going to the doctor and accept psychological therapy. Without the help of family, it turns out to be a one-way road for reaching the disillusioned life. In drug or alcohol addiction, the dip points are about health issues but in gambling addiction cases, gambler can go to bankruptcy.
1572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers, asking for salary during the shutdown on: April 10, 2020, 06:37:29 PM
Governments have bailout plans and other related economic packets for helping the threatened sectors of the economy. The latest global lockdown has affected the casino workers too and the situation becomes worse every day of the quarantine. Gamblers have alternative choices such as playing online games but the conditions are not fair for casino employees.
1573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crowded Casinos - Play or not? on: April 10, 2020, 05:23:32 PM
I don’t like such a crowded place like this. I love casino but I don’t like enthusiastic crowdedness. I like to play in a peaceful place. so, when I see the casino is overcrowded, I try go to another nearby casino. I wanna say something about this time, due to coronavirus we should avoid the crowdedness. My suggestion is to handle this critical moment stop casino gambling. stay at home and play on online.

I think most of us who are here on this forum do not really enjoy crowded places, so we spend a lot of time online. I like company for sure, but smaller groups of people. If it gets loud and crowded, I actually feel like I want to go home,,, all this is gone when you are online. Even with 20 or 200 people on chat in casino, it is fine, easy to switch off;)
Agree, the majority of the forum members will prefer to gamble in online websites rather than wasting time without enjoying in real casinos. The crowded and loud casinos don't attract me especially if the tables have specific limits for the targeted groups. VIP customers and tournaments are separated for better experience of professional gamblers but this is not effective in all cases.
1574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ways to recover from being addicted in gambling. on: April 09, 2020, 11:59:47 PM
There are so many gamblers in this virtual world or even in the real life, there are some that can be considered as a compulsive gambler or those really addicted in gambling. That is the worst thing that you may acquire in gambling, in which that all the things that you are usually doing are now nothing, you are only focused on gambling, even your relationships on your friends and family are affected.

I want to help those people who really abused by the gambling, let me list down all possible solution that they may use to recover from being addicted in gambling.
1. Focus on your family or friends - if you have strong relationship with your family and friends then you will forget to play gambling, and they may help you to limit yourself from gambling.
2. List all things that were affected by gambling - if you can see all the things that were affected because of gambling then you may realize that it has no goods to give you, then I hope that it makes you think to stop gambling.
3. Read and Search about gambling addiction - if you can see all people that have been affected because of gambling then you may stop from being addicted on it, there are some people's life that already destroyed because of gambling.
4. Meet and visit experts or professionals about mental health - If you really want to limit yourself from gambling, but you can't then you may visit some experts and listen to their advise.

The things here with gamblers was just addiction for me addiction could totally be remove or cure. I've seen so many people that recover from addiction it either drugs, smoking etc.

Practicing it slowly and with discipline you could easily remove addiction, but it should just all start in your self. A lot of people saying everybody want to stop doing it but they cant because they are addicted but if you really have your goals and you really want it to be remove, with enough discipline you could easily remove your addiction in gambling for example. Under many circumstances their was just so many things that is attracting us to continue being addicted that is why we don't want to have a decision to stop it.
Patience is the best method along with psychological help. Family therapies will be their best cure and drug addiction is very different than a gambling addiction. Mastering your goals and controlling yourself are the basement to beat any addiction, other extra suggestions are not as strong as the mentioned advice. Strong discipline is key to open the doors in abnormal lives, accepting the facts straight should be the first step before applying the others.
1575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep track of your gambling? how? on: April 09, 2020, 11:42:17 PM
Usually for me i dont keep records because im kinda lazy it would be good if gambling sites has there logs but there are no ways to track your gambling expenses or investment in these kind of platforms unless you make a memo in notepad or a piece of paper. It would be a great feature, if gambling sites add this kind of history log for your bets just like in Trading where you can view your bought position and selling position.

In my opinion, if you are interested in gambling, it is very important that you keep a record and constantly monitor your situation. These records make it easier to make logical decisions, not emotional ones. If you do not keep logs, you can always make bad decisions with the desire to win more.
Having an open Excel file and logging every won/lost amount will be up to date tracking information which can be useful to analyze the data after the month. In the lockdown, the demand for gambling platforms has increased and this is a good opportunity for the newbies to learn the basic deep working mechanisms for gambling management.
1576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble right after coronavirus outbreaks? on: April 09, 2020, 10:53:13 PM
If it's an online casino you don't need to wait until the very least thing is infected. All I need is zero new cases increased recovery and low or complete no death rate. I would be very ok with that
If you want, you still can gamble during this outbreak but it seems not a wise decision. Except you have millions of dollars, you still can do everything online, including playing gambling. But most people must prioritize their funds for urgent needs now. Yes, I agree, at least wait until the progress of the cases getting less and less. And we have already got the cure around the world. This will begin to improve world's economy, then you can consider gambling if you have extra money for it.
You don't need a million dollar to enjoy gambling now, just limit your gambling funds, if you are not a high roller, you can already enjoy gambling at least 10 usd per day, and whatever happens, just call it a day, and then gamble the next day, .. just stay discipline all the time so it will not wipe out all your savings.
On a normal day, it is ok to gamble with the planned small amounts but I don't agree about getting the same fun/enjoyment with the different amounts. It is not only the case of gambled fund amounts, even using the demo account can be the reason to not wipe out the savings.
1577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UK outlaws credit card gambling from 14th April on: April 08, 2020, 11:58:14 PM
What about the card to card transfers from credit to a debit card? If this is not prohibited, transferring funds from cc to debit card which will be used for gambling will be an efficient solution in this case. Just my 2 cents.
1578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Suggestions for online gamblers on: April 08, 2020, 11:42:44 PM
as far as I know when you use borrowed money to gamble it will only make you more stressed when you experience losses and failures when gambling, it's better to use money that is really not very used so that when you lose then if you lose your assets won't be too frustrated.
Indeed. We just force ourselves too much if we gamble with borrowed money. What for? There is no guarantee to win big prizes with borrowed money. We must remember that gambling isn't an investment, it is more likely a luck game. As it is luck-based, it is better to play with what we can afford. Borrowing money will be too risky, on the next attempts we may get more losses. Just stop playing when no money for gambling anymore.
Not everyone has the same risk understanding as you explained here, the borrowed funds are like overdose for killing themselves in the long run. Risky choices may increase the adrenaline and this can be the reason behind choosing this option. Of course, I don't advise using the other people's funds for fun but some people can't get rid of the addiction simply.
1579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 90% Of Project Bounties Are Scams on: April 08, 2020, 11:19:08 PM
It's extremely pitiful bounties are not worth investing energy in nowadays. I recall those days in 2017 when you could make $4K out of one single bounty. At present, I would not exhorted anyone to out his heart to participate much in bounty since you are likely not going to get paid or the project will end up being scam.
Yeah, I remember those days when it was possible to make a 1 BTC within a month but the rates are lowered and suspicious requirements are asked by bounty managers in order to avoid paying high reward in limited bounty hunters participants joined the campaign.
1580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do some gamblers actually win? on: April 08, 2020, 10:57:54 PM
Obviously, most gamblers over a long distance will have a negative balance (losses). But some of them will be in plus even after thousands of bets. This is explained purely mathematically: out of a million players, someone (purely by accident) makes an almost always successful bet.
Those who suffer from gambling addiction will understand your arguments and will agree with the mentioned points. House edge melts the risk/reward ratio and beating the house edge is impossible. Every possibility is calculated statistically, long term gambling is not fun, it is called gambling addiction. That is why everyone suggests gambling when you feel boring or emotionally drained with money management.
