2401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: February 18, 2022, 02:24:24 PM
Ryan is good and young fighter, the last time I watched his fight was the time he fought against Campbell which was very interesting. Ryan's punches is so powerful despite his looks young.  Tagoe is an experienced fighter but I doubt if it will be easy for him to defeat Ryan.

Ryan's strength due to his age is an edge when it comes to the boxing ring. He never fails to surprise his viewers when it comes to the aggressiveness of his punches. He's still unpredictable and his speed is too surprising. I guess it would be a challenging match for Tagoe but we can't also deny the fact that Tagoe would also be tough. This is really another exciting match.
That strength brings Garcia on where he is now but I know he’s still capable of doing better things, like to become more aggressive and have a good speed on his punches. Tagoe also have a good record in boxing and a great strength, no doubt that this will be a great fight as well and looking forward for this day to come. I still think Garcia will have the advantage here.

Exactly mate, Garcia has a bright future in this industry given that he's capable of doing things unexpected due to his movements and speed in such a young age and a better edge to any opponent and that alone will be his advantage, well except from the fact that Golden Boy have cherry picked this opponent. Tagoe is a little unknown to us because as I saw his record, most of his games are held locally but he's a decent and tough one for sure, I'm looking forward that if indeed Tagoe will be defeated then at least I do hope that he will give Garcia a tough match or make him struggle.

If Ryan Garcia could not defeat Tagoe, then his future is not expected to be bright. He is out for a year and he should come back strong, I'm expecting a win but I am not 100% confident as I saw what happened to Garcia in his previous fight, he is not strong enough, he has a weakness and if Tagoe will find his weak spot, he might pull an upset.
2402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 18, 2022, 01:53:36 PM
76ers are doing great and they won another game against a really tough opponent like Bucks this time. Embiid was the star of the game like he is nearly all the time. I hope that they can maintain this effort in the playoff round too. Because there have been many teams that were very good in the regular season but were terrible in the playoffs. 76ers deserve to be successful this season and I hope they wouldn't be eliminated earlier in the playoffs. But after Harden's joining, it doesn't seem very likely. The most important thing is his adapting to the team quickly.
That's a good win by the 76ers, though Harden is still not playing, they still manage to beat the Bucks. Embiid had 42 points, which was a huge one, he beat Giannis here and he take his team to success. Looks like 76ers is still a strong team despite of the trade happened recently.
Joel Embiid is really a MVP candidate in my opinion. He has been carrying the team without Simmons this season. And after what had happen, losing some of its best players like Curry and Drummond, he still manages to carry the team in his back. And it's a great win against their rivals in Bucks in the East. So for me this is a statement win for Joel and the Sixers.
As of now, he holds the lead because of his good games, prior the season was opened, he is not even in the top 3, but now he is already in the top 1.

you can see the entire list in this link - https://www.oddsshark.com/nba/nba-mvp-betting-odds

Quote
Joel Embiid   +125
Nikola Jokic   +325
Giannis Antetokounmpo   +375
Stephen Curry   +800
Ja Morant   +1200

I'm not sure yet if there are still betting sites that have opened odds for the MVP betting.

I feel like Demar DeRozan has been snubbed just a bit when it comes to current MVP voting, or I should say predictions. He’s 4th in scoring, had his team tied for first place in the eastern conference and looking better than they have in years. He just broke the record for most games scored of 35+ pts with 50% shooting percentage..7 games straight so far

I agree with you, in that case, I guess betting on DeRozan to win the season's MVP is a good idea. Based on the updated odds shared, DeRozan is +2800, that's a lot of return for $100, isn't it tempting?

The Biggest Scam Coins In Crypto History
https://tradersofcrypto.com/guides/crypto-scams/
"Since February 2020, approximately 1,000 cryptocurrencies have been pronounced dead, deceased and no more, with the total death count now standing at about 2400 coins. This equates to an increase of about 71%!"

The number of dead coins is still in counting, many more will come and be recorded dead. This is really disappointing and imagines that the number can be doubled easily if many people will try to take advantage of the market by creating other scam projects. In fact, almost every day we saw new (unreliable) projects and this will surely add to the current dead coins in the market.
I think that was too much and enough or else, this gonna be the reason why crypto will fail in the future and no one will ever believe this alternative.
2404  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A few key points distinguishing traders from gamblers on: February 17, 2022, 10:58:46 PM
I don't believe in some of the distinction presented because is not only gamblers that has the mind for quick return on investment but traders does that too. What are them looking for is nothing other than good return on their capital they invest in either trading or gambling.
Indeed, aiming for a profit is what we aim for whether it was gambling or trading. But what makes us different from trading is that we become more strategical to win the market and the more we need to enhance our knowledge and skill, unlike in gambling where we just rely upon luck and nothing else. But to compare the two which one probably gives us more losses, I believe it was gambling. However, being please with what we do is very important than money but yeah, don't make fall of yourselves into gambling if you aim for returns as this is very unlikely.

The winning streak of the Bolts is now over, it was ended by the Northport in a good win as they beat the Bolts in a wide Margin.
Final score was 98-109, and Bollick is the leader of the local players.

Now, the only undefeated team in the PBA is only Magnolia.
2406  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I am doomed on trading on: February 16, 2022, 11:14:30 PM
Wait what? You lose your $400 from trading or what  Huh

Let something like this become our experience and always use your money that you can afford to lose so when something like this occurs you won't be depressed so much. It's better to start at a little first and learn how it works. Many people at first will feel hopeless because they just lose their money but it will fade away and become your experience in trading for the next trade.

True, it's better to use a little money first to learn self-control. However, if you are forced to use a large money, be brave enough to determine how many dollars you want to lose (cut loss).
Then, don't get forced, otherwise. It was best to start at a small amount for we are just in the learning process and the time that we are fully ready for a huge trade and capable enough, then that was the time to spend more. Trading is not a race that we need to be in a hurry, we should think that every mistake would lead to losses and we can't bring the time back. If we are wanted to be sure that we can make more profit instead of losses, we need to ready ourselves first.
2407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Overthink Potential of Bitcoin on: February 14, 2022, 09:35:09 PM
Bitcoin will never free us from governments, or even help alleviate poverty anywhere.
Bitcoin will free us from government, so everything it's base on your perspective and assumptions, from my own theory of understanding cryptocurrency, i may said that Bitcoin specially have eradicated poverty since it's existence, if you have invested in cryptocurrency and and adventure into profit before, you will understand that Bitcoin is really elevation.
Indeed, I can see it to myself and I can see changes when it comes to financial capability. However, for those people who can't really afford to invest, Bitcoin had nothing to do with them. We really could think that Bitcoin gives some help to those who want and have the capital to invest but this becomes helpless to others who have nothing.
The existence of Bitcoin gives some light but this is not enough to solve poverty. As to whether we like it or not, rich people are benefiting much from this.
2408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto stuck in sports betting site, now they want KYC on: February 14, 2022, 09:06:55 PM

Anyways, sometimes I try to login to the site before setting my VPN and it simply tells me I'm in a restricted area. Never had any issues though, I just flip on the VPN and all good. I've been using this site for about 2 months now. Today I logged in and and it was requesting I input my phone number to proceed. It said I can withdraw funds but services were restricted until I enter my phone number. So I created a fake number from Hong Kong, and entered it in. It sent me a code and I entered it. Little did I know Hong Kong  is also banned from this site (I know I know, I was just in a hurry to place a bet). Now my account is locked and they will not allow me access to even withdraw until I go through full KYC.

That is really a crazy move you've made. But I think it was done and you help your account to get banned from accessing it. Your money will get stuck there and no way to get it. That is how important to read the TOS before making the registration and make it follow as this KYC could be imposed somehow. We'd better go check it first as once we make a deposit and make some account verification it somewhat leads to asking KYC later especially when they notice that you are using VPN.
That is a lesson to learn and sorry to hear that. $1,200 is huge money already...
2409  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin the best investment at the moment? on: February 14, 2022, 08:49:48 PM
We can't just say "the best investment at this moment" but this can also be profitable long-term.
Just looking at its market trend, we can really say that buying today and holding for at least 2 years, the possibility to make double(or even more) your capital.

I have many options in investing so far and one of them is investing in crypto (bitcoins & some altcoins). I agree about this investment is one of the best regardless of whether people agree or not. The good thing is that bitcoin has provided a commensurate return on our investment and that is one proof that bitcoin investing is a good thing. It doesn't matter if you want to profit from investing in other than bitcoin, as long as you make a profit then it is the best investment for you though not for anyone else.

Differences of opinion as to which investments are the best are common and I think they can say whatever they like and in what investments they prefer. It doesn't matter if they are not sure about bitcoin because it will have no impact on our investment in bitcoin. The point is that what is best for us is not necessarily the best for others and they are free to choose which investments they are willing to take into account the risks.
it is a way to say that Bitcoin investment is more profitable than the other investment but the risk is too high if we compared it to other forms of investment. That is why if you are not a risk-taker person, we probably do not agree about this but for us who know it and are already on the said investment, we can say YES.
2410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A lesson to learn here I belief on: February 14, 2022, 08:27:02 PM

2. little coins that earned through airdops in 2017 they are not even close to 1$ and in January 2022 two of them did wonders, name is Avinoc and whackd token, I made 80$ from avinoc and 500$ from whackd, my main point here is if those coins have huge value at the time I would have sold them right? I took my eye off them because they have too low value...
The same thing happens to me...we usually didn't check airdrop coins for we think that they are useless and have no market value. I have that experience when a friend of mine tell me to check my wallet during the bullish season as many airdrop coins have been shooting up, there I've found some of my coins have a huge value. If it happens that nobody ever tells that, I surely miss the chance to sell them.
Then I think that we can't really underestimate them, that to proves that they are also unpredictable like others.
2411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 14, 2022, 02:15:21 PM

It ended as a boring fight, probably the most boring fight of Casimero's boxing career, but enough for that, Casimero will eventually surprise us again and i believe that will happen in his upcoming fight with Butler, that surprise should be a positive one.

Different fighters always have a different style of fighting. Maybe Butler can duplicate that style but Casimero

is more prepare in that kind of situation and for sure he will come up with something that his fans will enjoy, we will see
that when they both step inside the right and start throwing punches.

I do expect more action from Butler since he's challenging Casimero from this title fight.

I saw the previous fights of Butler, he doesn't move like Rigo, he is not a boring fighter as he has some kind of confidence that he could beat and knockout his opponent, with that kind of style, for sure Casimero would be happy to engage with him in a toe to toe fight manner.
2412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 14, 2022, 01:53:56 PM
I believe that Ginebra is a good 2nd half team and they'll take care of the business, good luck to that ML bet.

Unfortunately Bolts wins the game, 101-95, close game but Bolts is more on the business they are the one who take the entire 2nd half, making sure that the rally will not continue in the 2nd half, Both imports performed so well but the contributions from the locals is the key to win. Nothing to say since they are all doing what they know is best but only one team will win, congrats to Bolts fans/bettors. Roll Eyes Wink

I was wrong believing Ginebra would have a good 2nd half, it's still the bolts who dominated the game and their winning streak continues. They have a good import this conference, so I think they'll be a team to beat and most probably a team that will go to the Finals. If Bolts and Ginebra will face, obviously I'm still with the Ginebra.

Sometimes Ginebra had a bad game, they fought hard but they still lose, at least now there are some teams who are unexpected to dominate and Meralco is just doing very well so far. I agree with you that during the Finals, Ginebra is going to be the favorites despite they are not in the number of standing now, and as I heard on the news, I guess they'll start allowing audience in the arena, and for sure that would help Ginebra as they have the biggest fan base.

I'm sure Ginebra will bounce back, their next game is against TNT who are also in a losing streak.
https://pba.ph/schedule

This should be a nice game, both teams are in a losing streak, 2 losing streak to be exact(https://pba.ph/standings), so both teams are expected to play harder to ensure they will try to break that struggle.
2413  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be mindful when making transactions on PC on: February 14, 2022, 01:34:30 PM

  • Get proper antivirus/malware protection to protect you in case you still make a mistake.

The importance of this cannot be overstated, some persons only think in the direction and fear the possibility of virus entering their PC and not Malwares. Some malwares are as dangerous, even more dangerous than some virus. A friend of mine had a malware in his PC that was actively taking screenshots of his PC screen and sending to a source, had he not noticed it on time, it would have done a great deal of damage to him because he does all business transactions and related from his PC. Get a good malware protection because these things are real.
That is the thing we suppose to do but only techy people who able to do this while others don't care about it and they mostly receive the consequences due to ignorance. Even we do much care of our PC and install blocking apps, we can't still assure that everything will be okay and totally safe as these apps couldn't give 100% safety on your PC. Some leaks could be considered especially when accidentally clinking links that contain malware or virus.
Well, the best way is not to save important information to our PC or laptop, especially when it includes private keys and bank accounts.
2414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How will Coinmarketcap look in 2025? on: February 14, 2022, 10:27:04 AM
Yes, I agree with you, it's better to think about current conditions than to think about 2025 which is basically still far away.
however in crypto it's hard to predict so it's better to keep abreast of developments from time to time
What is still far away does not need to be thought about because there is still a lot of time to pass and it is still very good to analyze market conditions in the near future rather than thinking about what is still very far away, and even everyone is not necessarily sure that he can be in the market at that time.
That even make sense if we know what will happen in 2025 but unfortunately, we don't know yet and these things we do, (over) speculating the market will just help to confuse newcomers than being naturally guided.
And OP did is not close to reality, maybe for Bitcoin but for altcoins, that gives me doubts.
Of course, development can be somewhat to seen every year and able to see price increase in Bitcoin but I'm not sure how these altcoins will survive the competition and if they are able to keep the momentum.
2415  Economy / Economics / Re: Just my own thoughts on: February 14, 2022, 09:52:28 AM
We have three things in your post. They are btc, fiat and CBDCs. Btc is decentralized and runs on blockchain, CBDC is centralized and runs on blockchain and the fiat is decentralized and does not run on blockchain.
If you want to make comparison is should be on centralize and decentralized.
If it is like that, bitcoin is different from the rest two.
But if you talk about competition, CBDC should be in competition with fiat because they have the same parents which is government. Bitcoin is different and bitcoin is liberty.
There is no such comparison between the decentralized one to centralized form of the market as they are totally a different alternative to fiat money(local currency). And why Bitcoin couldn't overthrow fiat (local currency) for the reason that people just consider this an investment like bonds and any businesses. To earn some profit from investing in Bitcoin make people encourage, not the way we could use to pay bills, buy stuff, or anything as we do like with fiat.
2416  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 29 Year Old Legend In Crypto Trading on: February 13, 2022, 11:39:50 PM
Did you know that this Sam Bankman is almost the same as Elon Musk, he is also the most influential person last year but I think he didn't make some noise at all, not like Elon Musk. I believe he is a very intelligent person because maybe that is their inheritance, his father was a Stanford Law School professor which is I believed a very smart person too.

Sam Bankman-Fried is a graduate of MIT University and of course he is very intelligent.
But do you believe he isn't good in coder as what he said?
I don't believe them either. Although they are smart but doesn't mean that they are smart in all things like trading. Let's say he is good at trading but I don't believe he is able to teach and give all the tips in trading which is not for sure. This is a sort of marketing strategy to encourage people to try FTX exchange and make use of this platform for trading.
Yes, what he does is manipulate traders to join him in order to get some tips and he could make benefit from it, not these traders.
2417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just luck on: February 13, 2022, 10:12:49 PM
Probably, just newbie luck since you said no experience in this sector. Just learn the basics of trading altcoins and do your best for gaining more experience, don't throw away your hard-earned money in shitcoins. Low marketcap altcoins aka meme or shitcoins have potential 10x 100x but the bear market session can also melt your balance faster than the blink of an eye. Don't rely on luck, learn the professional trading strategies, money management, and analysis tools instead of blindly buying shitcoins, IMHO.
I really don't think OP doesn't have any trading background for at least having the basic knowledge coz he even knows that he is trading meme coins. I agree that was a piece of luck for him to earn a huge profit with the use of meme coins. Well, that is something that happens to any of us but if we are checking the market trend very often, I think we can somehow not miss a chance to sell our coins is the most favorable price.
That is good for him actually, but OP I'd just warn you to be more careful in the next top-up especially if you still choosing meme coins.
2418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto-Currency in Africa on: February 13, 2022, 01:56:55 PM
It is true that Internet access or coverage in Africa is poor compare to other Western countries. But it is not only the Internet that is the problem of Africa people to adopt bitcoin. Another problem is information and mindset. When the government has spoilt the mindset of the people and the people does not get good information.
I am saying this is because the number of people using Facebook in Africa is high. You cannot use Facebook without Internet. That mean some people use their own internet to do other things.
Not all countries in Africa don't have a poor Internet access, it's just that Western ideas and perspective are drilled in our heads that it's what we think. Corruption and civil unrest might contribute to that problem but other than that I think that if we see more African countries improve and grow, we will eventually see more crypto growth in the country because it already has a people that uses crypto there.
Corruption and bad leadership are big factors of getting behind for the development and economic growth, and this is very common to the majority. But Africans had made their way to adopt crypto despite those things and even having a slow internet connection they will still be able to survive.
So why not these people don't quit from crypto? This is because they'll know that this could help them to earn money and even just having an intermittent internet connection couldn't stop them.

IMO, I call that fight as a scam in these modern times.
LOL, it's a scam because of the hype and it did not happen. Just relax mate, that's normal these days, either you scam or you get scammed, the good thing is that we don't pay for the fight, we only watch them for free so they can't take our money, however, if there's a chance the fight will happen, I would still gladly watch it.
2420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Martinez - Feb 19, 2022 on: February 13, 2022, 11:56:57 AM
Donaire for instance have tried to go up in weight but was knock out.
That was really wrong decision for him, but at least he tried although he failed. Donaire is now a champion and maybe soon we will see him having a rematch with Inoue as these two boxers could attract the crowd. Ancajas is still young, he is making his own name so let's hope him success and he should win his battle.
