2422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first attempt to play gambling on: November 28, 2022, 08:57:53 PM
I've got no idea what odds were and there's no online gambling in our place so it's like someone sets up a gambling area where people can go and bet to whoever has set up a sports to watch for.

From small amounts to big amounts but at most times, the people are only betting with small amounts because life back then wasn't that great and we've just got had enough to live for.

It's like an entertainment but just as usual when it's too much, it's addicted.
2423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you still win with free spins? on: November 28, 2022, 10:38:41 AM
I can only echo pretty much what others have been saying here already. You can certainly win off of free spins from time to time but the likelihood of actually winning something of any sizable amount or winning every often is just not that likely.

I’ve won on free spins before in the past but it’s been quite some time and I never had won anything of much.
Yeah, that's it with free spins.

You'll win but it won't be as significant as the good amount that we usually get from betting with certain matches and high odds. It's like getting something for free and you don't expect to get the best from it.

So yes, OP you've got answers already and this thread has served its purpose.
2424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching my nephew about Bitcoin on: November 28, 2022, 08:34:23 AM
4. The disadvantage of investing wrongly without full knowledge
This should be the main topic for most of the beginners.

Because most of them are investing without basic knowledge in bitcoin and they're even introduced by a random guy on the internet through different forums and groups and gives them idea where they should invest, wrongly.

@OP, you're helpful to your relatives and your nephew has got now the understanding and basic thoughts about bitcoin. I'm sure that he'll talk about it with his friends and will make him look like a genius on his story.  Tongue

Also, there's a rumor that I've read that the ex-roster of Evil Geniuses, there are 2 organizations that are interested to buy them. The 100 thieves and Cloud 9. Many will like it if Cloud 9 on boards them to their org.

Never heard of 100 thieves again for a long time. It would be interesting how they would handle a dota 2 roster given that most of the teams they held were for FPS games. Ex-EG players are still a good investment IMO, and it'll be no surprise if these two NA orgs would be trying to up each other for them to acquire these experienced guys. Would be nice to see C9's name again in pro Dota. Their name is synonymous to NA for the last decade or so, be it CS or Dota 2.
Honestly, that's the first time of hearing them since they seem from the FPS games. I play FPS but never been into that much of their competitive scene.

As for ex-EG roster, it's surely a great investment for the org that will take care of them and they could play around with another coach if they think Bulba isn't that good for them. So, it's going to be 5 ex-EG + a new coach.
2426  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I invest in cryptocurrency or start my business? on: November 27, 2022, 10:49:46 PM
I have been working as a freelancer for years, and I have saved some reasonable sum of money. now knowing the full potential that cryptocurrencies have, I am now confused on what to do if is to invest in cryptocurrencies or to establish a business while still working as a freelancer, I don't know the one I should do at moment, if to invest in cryptocurrencies or to establish my business.
What do you want the most?

If it's starting a business then start with it and when you're back on track, gets the ROI and everything then start investing in bitcoin. But if that business can do with the half budget you've got now.

Then, just do both things. Buy bitcoin while starting your business. That sounds easy, right? It's easy to buy bitcoin yet starting a business will require you more time and effort.
2427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: November 27, 2022, 09:30:58 PM
I've watched some games of the new Fnatic roster and I'm still not yet convinced with those games that they're that strong at all. I guess I need to watch them with the other tier 1 teams in the SEA because it will take time again when they'll be having a match with another team from a different region.

Also, there's a rumor that I've read that the ex-roster of Evil Geniuses, there are 2 organizations that are interested to buy them. The 100 thieves and Cloud 9. Many will like it if Cloud 9 on boards them to their org.
2428  Other / Off-topic / Re: Lay off vs Pay cut on: November 27, 2022, 04:14:44 PM
If you are living in a country with a stable economy and finding a new job will not be too difficult, of course we will choose the second option, which is to quit. But if you're living in a country with unemployment, and companies constantly laying off employees because they're struggling in times of crisis, then I don't think we have a choice here.
You are lucky to still have a stable job with a decent income, but in many other places unemployment is increasing, it is almost impossible to find a job, most people choose to move back to their hometown because they can't find a job.
I'll also have no choice but to take the pay cut since I've tried to applied in so many companies but even getting an interview is hard to get. That's why right now I'm trying to learn some new skills so that myself is more marketable to these companies.

But for those people living in a country that has a lot of opportunities, choose to be laid off and find a better job. That's the most ideal thing to do if you have a choice to make.
2429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: bookmakers on: November 26, 2022, 10:04:43 PM
Have you checked if marsbet is also the one that you're looking for? Aside from the casinos mentioned, duelbits, stake and sportsbet.io and the others.

You may try to check out marsbet if the sports and the matches that you're looking for is listed on its book. They've got various sports for you to choose from.
2430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: November 26, 2022, 09:09:05 PM
This kind of gambling is always fun because these animals fights in the circle of human, have you been involved in this kind of animal gambling or have you watched such game before. Can such game be in the casino?
It's not fun at all because you don't have to see them fighting until one of them dies just to have a winner. I understand that it is gambling, it is better to stay in casino games and sports betting if you're starting to feel entertained and fun with any gambling that needs an animal to participant.

I feel pity when there's the fight and the other rooster has to die because of those slashes.

And at the same time, the other goes the same way of dying but has just been declared to be the winner first because he lived longer than the first to die.
2431  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: November 26, 2022, 10:55:59 AM
Well, everyone starts with nothing and as in zero to begin with.

I've made a lot of business before and most of them are like small enterprises but still even with experience, it's really a thing because I feel that I have a low self steem.

And that is because I'm always thinking the challenges in the first place. It's the main reason even if I've done a lot of failures, still, that feeling of failing isn't removed on me.

A part of yourself that you needed to overcome when engaging in any business. Don't be afraid of losing, but make sure that you
will learn something out from any mistake that you encountered.

Determination will help you to step forward even it's just a little step one a time
the important thing is you are progressive, maybe it's not time yet or you still not
finding the right business that suits and fits to your skills.
Yes, I'm aware of that. I should be fine to lose because it's better to lose because you've tried rather than doing nothing at all.

But sometimes, you're just having thoughts playing on your mind and they could be discouraging and degrading thoughts thinking that you can't do it.

I know that I can do it but at the same time, there's an unknown feeling that discourages me.
2432  Other / Off-topic / Re: Increase in cost of running the family on: November 26, 2022, 09:39:18 AM
This friend of mine now complain so much because of the new child adding to his family. If we reduce the child bearing to the amount we can take care , it will reduce the heat we are feeling from the bad economy experience.
He's in no right to complain that lot when he chose that path of his life. Either of the sides will create problems.

In some countries like Japan, people there tend to choose being single until they grow old up to retirement. See, there's also the problem that it'll create from either having or not having a baby.

I'd say that choose to be happy but at the same time, be responsible from making your own family. Be the greatest provider if you're the father.
2433  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This whole mess looks like a big conspiracy theory to me, something out of movie on: November 25, 2022, 09:55:49 PM
I wouldn't suspect CZ although there's really a thought that he can mess around but with his own company and not with the others - FTX.

When CZ started to tell that he's about to dump FTT, there goes the defense of Sam that everything is okay, good and working normally. But then, with all of those positive tweets about the start of this fiasco, they've turned into nightmare when he has started to file for bankruptcy.
2434  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: November 25, 2022, 04:39:51 PM
I'll choose to be a business owner because I'm thinking of that I can help genuinely those that deserves it and are hardworking. So, it's a give and take situation for me and those that I will employ if ever I'll have a big business.

I'm planning to have one but sometimes it's making me think if I can make it. I'm not afraid of risks but I'm afraid of failure but also, it's making me realize that I can just restart if the business I started has failed and just go back to employment.
I have always wanted to become a business owner from the start but seems my experience is not good enough so I would want to start as an employee at first and gained all the insights needed to grow a business. Because I believe once you build your own business, big capital is not enough, you also have a good knowledge and skills on the business you are building as to have higher assurance for that business to succeed.
Well, everyone starts with nothing and as in zero to begin with.

That's his belief in life and if that's for the good of his family, I'm sure that he won't say that he won that much but he'll still provide them with all their needs.

It's like he's going to buy stuff here and there but will never mention that he's got a lot of money for him to provide for them. Well, that's his way of care for them.
2436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I Am So Done With Betting Until.... on: November 25, 2022, 01:26:39 PM
Upsets happen in most sporting events and even in the esports, they do happen. I've experienced it before when I bet for the favorite team and didn't consider the odds for the underdog team.

And for FIFA, fans and bettors it is no brainer to bet on Argentina if the opponent is Saudi Arabia. But well, what happen has happened and that's gambling on our end that things can be sometimes upsetting if the unexpected thing occurs.
Well that's what i mean to prefer betting against the odds always better ... the hurt feeling when you know that you are losing the bet on a 1.1xx even worst below that odds , it hurts ... really hurts i knew it especially if you do it in full confidence and allin! The trauma will be there for sure.

But when you do the opposite ... betting on the underdogs in hope to get 3x or even 8x return ... you do it in nothing to lose style and when you won it , the feeling way much better than anything, satisfying.
It really hurts and it's all about the feeling that you're confident and at the same time the odds that you've trusted that much.

As you do the opposite, it's not also that guaranteed at all because those odds are most of the times correct if it's on the winning side. As I've said, upsets do happen and when they do, it's hell of an upset.
2437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Bitcoin before the banks and governments do on: November 25, 2022, 12:15:27 PM
That's the answer, Banks really don't risk in a volatile market with money from people's reserves. They might be in bitcoin or crypto with some of their assets but not that big enough to move the market or do anything to manipulate it.
Although it's known that Central African Republic and El Salvador already got their ways into bitcoin and they could be using funds of their people in buying bitcoin.

But the majority of the governments wouldn't really try to get into a very volatile market without assurance that they'll have ROI or profit to make. They just can't put at risk the money of their people so, there's no need to be wary of if they will buy.

I want to travel the world but he's too privileged to do that and not all of the people that listens to his advice will be able to do that.

I've been hearing this from the old folks and they all regret that they've done travelling when they're already old. Well, it's because when they're younger they just can't leave the opportunities that were behind them and they're not that rich at all.

I know it's possible to travel even if you're not rich but we all want to enjoy it having no budget constraints and worry about the finances as we travel.
2440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do online casinos disadvantage some locations from winning big on: November 24, 2022, 08:56:03 PM
I really don't know if relatively new casinos can do something like that, but I understand that the most reliable and reputable casinos don't do it, it's like they say, they would get into serious trouble, and they don't have any logic, because the majority of casinos that have to do with crypto, payments can be made in bitcoin, and a very high amount can be sent in Bitcoin, it is something that does not make much sense, the fact of thinking that in a certain country it is they have to limit I don't think so, maybe I would believe it if it is a casino that uses fiat for its transactions, already there or I would believe it because it is much more centralized and above all controlled.
Reputable casinos will definitely not be going to do it.

That's because they want to be known as a reputable and friendly to its customers so, doing this will make their customers turned off with how they act especially if it's about withdrawals.

People are becoming aggressive and sensitive when it's about this matter, so, a casino understands this that it can push a lot of customers away if they're treating them as if they always have a new rule every time someone withdraws.
