1941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: May 07, 2023, 03:03:00 PM
Haha! I was talking about Dota 2 and yours was League, well then it's the opposite that's happening now as well with Dota 2 - Berlin major.
oh man, this is really interesting  Cheesy I'll probably pay closer attention to what we're about to say in the future to avoid confusion, but it's really interesting considering both teams are in two different leagues. That's great  Cheesy
So GG won in Dota 2, and they're going to win in LOL Cheesy oh my guess  Roll Eyes
It's okay mate, it's just a misunderstanding since we both love esports.  Grin

GG is truly making rounds for both esports, league and dota 2 and that's history for them.

Now, it's going to be GG vs. Team Liquid and this best of 5 game will start in less than an hour.

Team Liquid pulling a pocket strat on an elimination game. They must feel really confident in that strategy to pull it on an elimination game. And no one would expect a witch doctor in position 3. The top lane was basically 2 support heroes. But behold, it worked. They hit their timings and finished the game within 20 minutes. 9 Pandas have no answer to all that healing coming from io and witch doctor.

Props to 9Pandas for reaching the Lower Bracket finals. They introduced a lot of meta to this new map, especially the bounty hunter strat. I enjoyed watching strat.

Up next, Team Liquid vs Gaimin Gladiator. I will go to Team Liquid this time. It is a rematch of Lima Major and I think they will have their revenge for their loss in the Lima Major finals. Hopefully, this will be a full series and goes all the way to 5 maps.
I've watched that WD + IO combo, it sucks when they've done it as an enemy. I'd really feel sucks against that duo. I am feeling that they'll use that line up again for this grand finals.

The first game is still on going and it's a close fight for both teams. This is the grand finals and both teams are going to be careful with their moves and decision making.
1942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: May 07, 2023, 01:13:35 PM
Even with older patch, GG has dominated the other majors like Lima and then they're still showing no difference from that. Whoever wins the match on the lower bracket, I'm more convinced that it's going to be Team Liquid and GG on the grand finals.
Personally, I think that GG is not a good team to play, their form is not worth mentioning when in the last season, they had a very difficult journey to get there with MSI, a lot of defeats at the beginning of the season, they only ranked 6th after the regional group stage. I know, now is not the time to look at the past, but GG's recent matches have not shown that they are a strong enough team to beat PSG.

I'll bet a ticket on PSG's victory
Well, I'm not sure if you're following the Dota 2 Berlin majors because PSG is no longer there and it's just three team left and then now, it's just two and it's the grand finals. GG is now at the grand finals while PSG.LGD was already out of the tournament @ 9th-12th place.

And if you think that GG isn't performing well with their recent matches, I think that you should review their matches during the group stages and on the playoffs.

Their playoffs record is 6-0.

Now, it's going to be GG vs. Team Liquid and this best of 5 game will start in less than an hour.

oh, I think you are misunderstanding about it. We're talking about League of Legends and the MSI tournament being held, the matchups are ongoing and we are commenting on the victory of GG and PSG, the sad thing is that it's not what I expected. GG is leading 2-0. I am very surprised with this result. I am very surprised with this result, but it is BO5, wait and see if there are any other surprises  Roll Eyes
Haha! I was talking about Dota 2 and yours was League, well then it's a complete misunderstanding as I'm now watching Dota 2 - Berlin major.

Anyway good luck for both tournaments and our favorites.

9Pandas and Gaimin Gladitors are secured to take 3rd place, win or lose with the prize of $75,000 and 400 dpc points.

Gaimin Gladiators are waiting now for the Grand Finals. They secured their slot by sweeping 9Pandas in their Upper Bracket Finals series. It is always a delight to watch Gaimin Gladiators play. They are always on point and are very discipline in their game.

9Pandas will be waiting in the Lower Bracket Finals. They will face whoever who will win between EG and Team Liquid.
Good job and well done for the GG, I've watched the first game and 9pandas was actually dominating it and then everything has turned around. GG is like the new Tundra and the new OG.

Even with older patch, GG has dominated the other majors like Lima and then they're still showing no difference from that. Whoever wins the match on the lower bracket, I'm more convinced that it's going to be Team Liquid and GG on the grand finals.

Anyway, EG and Team Liquid was done, Team Liquid has won.
1944  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A nob in trading needs help on: May 06, 2023, 03:03:45 PM
But at this point, I will really like to know whether or not Bitcoin trading is a means to gain profits during market speculations, and how possible it is to make passive income through cryptocurrency trading.

HODL is a passive way of investing on Bitcoin. But if you don't like that, then by means of having passive income is you'll need to put that on a wallet or exchange that will give you profit in form of APY.

I don't like to have it on exchanges because their rates are low and you're not sure of the safety of your Bitcoin there because you will not have the private keys.

Trading is hard, and that's an honest opinion for me and not everyone that trades are profiting from it.
1945  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cartooned style video about Bitcoin for beginners on: May 06, 2023, 12:22:10 PM
Very timely that I've seen this thread. Actually, someone has approached me if he should do this type of content just for being informative like the basic things that people should know about Bitcoin.

I said yes, if he's got a lot of time and can dedicate much effort on it he should start making contents that are graphical and videos type for easier engagement and education to the audience.

So that TikTok video, can be spreaded into other social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and others.
1946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: May 06, 2023, 10:32:57 AM
I think ex-Hellraisers didn't compete in the ESL One Berlin Major 2023 but maybe if they do they could give Tundra a beating I think ex-Hellraisers' last competition was on the Dreamleague Season-19 one where they don't win a match at all, it was a shocking defeat so for me Gaimin Gladiator was a beast winning most of their matches in the One Berlin Major, the only one that give Glagiator a hardtime was 9 Pandas, BetBoom, and Evil Geniuses, So Let's what strategy they will do on their game today against 9 Pandas
The ex HR squad is still competing in the major though but now they're under 9Pandas.
That's right, ex-HR is now 9pandas and good thing that this org have adopted them and sponsored them going to Berlin major. Now, they're waiting for the next game while the current match being played on is with EG vs OG.

Their match is being waited by many that's following the conflict between GG's mid and 9panda's carry.

Also, it shows how a new patch can easily change a team as the DreamLeague group stages were played on the previous patch and 9Pandas are competing without their team captain.
This is true, while Rodjer has been a teammate before during their Virtus.Pro days, their adjustment wasn't that much and they're able to play easily.

9Pandas and Gaimin Gladitors are secured to take 3rd place, win or lose with the prize of $75,000 and 400 dpc points.
1947  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What is the most that governments can do if they decide to regulate wallets? on: May 05, 2023, 11:43:46 PM
All they need is a crypto education which isn't taught in their normal 7-8 hr school times lol.
They prolly have some idea on it but they don't want to dip deeper on it because they might don't like the actual fact that they'll know.

I don't think they find it hard to understand about bitcoin. The problem is that they understand it very well and don't know what to do with it, that's why they sometimes make silly mistakes like the one we discuss here.
Right on, they are aware of it and for sure that they've got someone assigned on it to start knowing that ins and outs of it. And by knowing even a bit of that info, they don't want to go further because it comes against their actual purpose in the society.

Or are all these solutions useless
I'd say that no matter what restriction they put in, everyone who's inclined on it will definitely find a way to avoid these regulations and that's why the governments are stopping by on the phase when it's profit-taking, taxes, etc.
1948  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: They are milking money out of us on: May 05, 2023, 10:37:49 PM
I was just browsing and saw those projects that has attached 'chatgpt' on their names as bounties and even projects itself. It's not that serious at all whenever I see projects like this.

They truly gonna milk money out of those people that might think they're genuine projects.

While those people that will advertise it through bounties might think that it's gonna be a profitable project and their efforts will be worth it but for sure it won't be.
1949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 2 questions that bother me on: May 05, 2023, 07:07:25 PM
Hi everyone,

1/ Who determines the price of a token at launch?
For example, the SUI token cost a few cents in pre-sale and was listed at almost $1.50 on the Binance listing

2/ In your experience, is it a good idea to buy a chip the second it is listed for a profit?

Thanks for clarifying.
1. Whatever is the total amount that they've collected before launching calculated with its supply then that determines its price. But I could be wrong on this one so CMIIW.

2. Well, most of these investors before the launching they all one got big plan and goal and that's to sell and dump it as soon as it's listed on any exchange where it will be headed. That's why, if you're quite late on this one, you may not be able to profit.

But if you've missed the price before the launching and you're probably hyped in by its current situation, you may want to continue observing it before buying.
1950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Negative influence of bitcoin on: May 05, 2023, 05:44:04 PM
Every good thing has side effects, I believed bitcoin ha play roles of changing lives and improving digital structural economy. But bitcoin also has negative damnation on lives by impoverishing people of their spare resource and income. Today I want point out some negative impact of bitcoin on societies such as:
1. Bitcoin is not easily understood by people with no knowledge of it, at such scam and fraud is high on them.
2. No refund to anyone who incurs loss through keys, seed phase or fraud.
3. Privacy- bad people trying to give bitcoin bad name by faking bitcoin apps and site.
4. Cyber hacking - cyber wizards an fraudsters makes people to loss bitcoin wallets and money.
5. Price vitalities - bitcoin price is unpredictable and nobody as monopoly of the market.
Scammers are everywhere and they're not just taking advantage of bitcoin but also even in the use of fiat, they can be found.

While someone who's enthusiastic about bitcoin don't see bitcoin's volatility is a negative thing to be considered. It is for sure that newbies will think of when you say that it doesn't have a stable price but instead it has got a variance on its price.

Instead of them to try figuring out what Bitcoin is all about, they hope for it to fail.
These are people that knows nothing but want people to see on their misfortune. As a Bitcoin investor, we don't intend to see non-bitcoin investors miss these opportunities.

But them to expect bitcoin to fail, these minds are nothing but crab mentality.
1951  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What's highest amount instant exchanges can be trusted with? on: May 04, 2023, 11:33:01 PM
I can say that it's better to do several small transactions rather than one big one, it ultimately depends on your personal preference and risk tolerance. For example, smaller transactions may be less risky, but they may also be less convenient and potentially more expensive due to transaction fees.
It's gonna give you some sweat for doing some huge transactions through instant swaps, I've never done that before and probably will never have the balls to do it.

Like a couple of hundreds will do but up to more than $500 and to thousands, I'll just do it in the common exchanges that I've got good experiences.

In the other hand, larger transactions may carry more risk but can be more cost-effective and efficient in the long run.
Really differs and read what Loyce said about if it's with bigger transactions, it favors more the usual centralized exchanges for being cheaper.
1952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Embrace yourselves for what's coming on: May 04, 2023, 10:07:20 PM
It wouldn't be a problem when you've got a lot of funds ready to get spent during the bull run. I've got some transactions lately and I can say that this is the first time again that I've been affected by the fees.

The last time was the bull run of 2017 wherein, Bitcoin and altcoin transaction fees were terribly high. It's a good idea to have your mind prepared for what's coming and it's true that bull runs will make network congestions and transactions in traffic.

So, this is one good way of preparing yourself for that. Just another first time to read about investing in other way but with the transaction fees but overall, it's a good idea for real.
1953  Economy / Speculation / Re: Month of May. Bitcoin price guess on: May 04, 2023, 08:51:01 PM
$35k.

This is what I'm thinking that will be the highest for this month. Anyway if it won't happen, it's fine and no heart feelings from it. But if Bitcoin is gonna sit and be firm from $25k-$35k then that's already a win for most IMO.

Now a days Bitcoin price increasing. I think we entire in bull market. Gradually Bitcoin price increasing day by day. Now bitcoin price is $29000. I think in may Bitcoin price will $37000- $38000. And it will be continue.
It won't just be increasing day by day, there will be some slips, the ups and downs of Bitcoin which is common. Some corrections has to happen for it to possibly come back higher after that very correction.

1954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin core tx stuck for more than 24 hours on: May 04, 2023, 11:04:35 AM
It's crazy, the network is totally congested as of now and I'm about to transact and was surprised that the fee being asked to me by my wallet is around 7 bucks = 123sat/vbyte. This is the recommended and fastest one but it can be adjusted but it will take hours for it to get confirmed.
As the mempool was very congested yesterday, I was still able to use 17.5 sat/vbyte and my transaction got confirmed in approximately 10 minutes (not up to 10 minutes).

We can see the mempool becoming less congested. It is at 24 sat/vbytes now.

Mining difficulty will also soon be adjusted.
Good to know that it worked for you and thank you for giving that idea despite the projected minutes of confirmation with that fee is different and quite long on my end.

But as you've tried and it worked for you, I'll try to do that with my transaction later.

I've also checked in the mempool and you're right, that the fees have drop down a bit as of these moments.

Crazy totally.

I'll have to delay my transaction and wait for the network to breathe a bit before proceeding.
1956  Economy / Speculation / Re: FEAR + GREED & BITCOIN - Doesn't add up in 2019 on: May 03, 2023, 11:18:12 PM
Lots of us did miss out that golden train and now we've been regretting out and hope that time would come back but well its late but its not something you could really be
that late if you do tend to invest now. Its a matter of risks taking.
And those that have taken risk on the earlier days and chose to be brave were the ones that have been enjoying this season.

There will always be those risk takers, safe investors and those that want to test the waters. You choose your own battle and if it's not inline with what you're thinking just as what you're saying OP.

It probably hasn't yet shown that trend that you're comparing way back then. As many are saying, this is a cycle and we could have been in there or not yet and is about to come.
1957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin funding illegal activity, whats your opinion? on: May 03, 2023, 06:14:51 PM
It doesn't really gets old.

How about cash, USD and other local currencies that are also being used in illegal activities? Drugs? Swindling? money laundering? terrorist funding?

Aren't those activities incomparable to what's always been said to bitcoin as it's always crucified with those negative associations that we're always hearing of?
1958  Economy / Economics / Re: First Republic Bank fall: fear of more others to follow. on: May 03, 2023, 04:20:53 PM
So who's next? There seems to be a new leader in the bankruptcy battle, and that is PacWest Bancorp, whose shares were suspended today after falling 34.5%. However, shares of many other regional US banks also show a double-digit drop.

This is not surprising, because after the sale of the remains of the First Republic Bank, the depositors kept their deposits, and the shareholders received nothing. The capitalization of 100 billion was - and it is not.
And there's even a statement came from Yellen, she said that by June, the US might ran out of cash.

--> https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-65452444

Are all of these incidents being tailored and it's actually a scary statement coming from the treasury secretary. It's only a matter of time until we see another huge bank bails out and announces its bankruptcy.
1959  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where should I start ? Bitcoin & Coding/programming on: May 03, 2023, 02:31:04 PM
If you're passionate about coding, you can settle with those online courses that you can find through udemy and know the niche or programming language you want to learn.

There have been a lot of friends of mine that have learned coding through there and take note that they're not IT or computer courses graduates but then, those courses that they've taken through udemy have helped them to learn about it and even landed a job that's related to coding.

Aside from udemy, there's also coursera for which I'm taking some of easy courses there.
1960  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade with Binance's "Convert" tool for $0 fees? on: May 02, 2023, 10:04:16 PM
The convert is like trading with the market price and it's an instant trade. While in the spot, you're the captain of your trade and set prices, stop losses and as in even it's not the market price, you can set it.

I do use the convert when I've some dust balances and wanted it to be converted into a specific coin. That's actually helpful but everything we do in a platform, they're all priced in. So it's wrong to think that it's for free unless the exchange itself states that there's zero trading fee.

And which they usually announce that for something that they do such as promos.
