2061  Economy / Economics / Re: Money as a store of value... on: March 31, 2023, 10:34:43 PM
Fiat, money or cash are true liquid assets and it's the most liquid of all the assets out there. But you know what? Wise investors won't let their value and worth be in the form of cash because of the inflation so depreciation is there.

And instead, they use cash to buy other assets that can be more valuable in the future because it appreciates and the purpose of it is to defeat the inflation that will suck the value of their money.

Those assets like real estate, gold, bitcoin and many more.
2062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most likely category of people to become Gambling addicts. on: March 31, 2023, 08:13:45 PM
In summary, just don't introduce it to anyone that you know that are not capable of controlling their emotions because you'll never know on up to what point they can control themselves.

Because the time might even come that you'll be the one to be blamed by those people whom you've introduced gambling. That's not a new story and there have been cases like that they were blamed and made it looked bad because they've just introduced those addicted gamblers to gambling.

Avoid being the trigger of others that may fall into gambling addiction if you don't want to get involved and be blamed for.
As long as they won’t be productive in the long run, then never introduce it to them in the first place. Gambling may always trigger addiction especially if the one involved has a difficult way of controlling his greed and emotions. Instead of quitting gambling after losing, most of them will even gamble more to chase their losses or some to chase more of their luck for bigger profits. The reason why we should always be responsible not to drag people on gambling especially if those people have hard time controlling not just their emotions, but their finances as well. They may even consider that gambling is a quick way to make money, when the real fact is gambling could mean more losses than profits.
That's why if someone really asks important things about gambling and becomes encouraged based on how you explained it, you better watch out and keep them reminded that you've just been speaking based on what you know and the experience as a gambler. But you're not encouraging them to gamble and risk is at high and it never changes once they're in.

Be responsible enough not to attract people in gambling particularly for those who may think that gambling can be a good source of living. If they do, they will always want to try their luck gambling most of the time and end up losing all their funds. And for people who may gamble just for fun, don’t be too confident that they won’t develop addiction in the long run. Gambling is very addictive, if you’re not good at resisting and controlling your urge, you will always fall for gambling addiction even if you will keep on saying that you only gamble for fun.
It's the sign when someone thinks of it and he's not yet a gambler or just gamble less. Thinking of it as a source of income triggers their greediness and once someone gets up to that point, well, I'd say that you better be away from them before things becomes worst.

We've seen those people that have been in gambling that have come to that point and they've got no one to blame, if they can't blame themselves for the situation they're in. They'll look for one and you'll be on that hot seat if you're the last person that they've talked to about gambling.

I guess that's the real point here, we should stop encouraging people who gamble who are soft hearted because it may destroy their mental health once losing everything they have. Let them be the one who come to you and ask about it if they really want to so in the end you wont get blamed if they lose. To be honest ones you enter gambling its really hard to stop especially if you experience winning. It will boost you and trigger you to play and bet more higher value for a higher profit but once you loss with that big bet, it will not make you stop, it will push you more to keep gambling to get back what you loss and you cant notice that it slowly getting all your money that you have because you didn't control your emotion.

Gambling is fun, but it is very addictive so better be careful and learn how to control or limit yourself first before entering on it.
It's fun and no doubt that it's an income stream for those experienced gamblers. But it changes when someone thinks of it outside the box that if it happened to the other gamblers, it may happen to them as well.

That's not the point of it, if they want it the hard way then they'll see that it's not the same from those gamblers that they're looking up to as if they've found success in here.

There are lots of categories, but I think this is the one that's on the top in terms of who you shouldn't introduce gambling for.

We already know that people who are full of emotions often loses their money whether it's on gambling, or trading etc. Traders who are full of emotion most of the time ending up losing their money. On the other hand, those people who want to gamble that are also full of emotions lost their money all the time. People with full of emotions might make some bad decisions that would make their current situation even worse. Some even go to a point where they will borrow money into their family members.

This is also the reason why I'm not introducing gambling to anybody. I'm not gambling that much, but I'm afraid that whenever I introduce gambling to other people, there might be a chance that they will get addicted, and for sure I will blame myself if something bad happens to that person which will cause a domino effect on me.
When someone's emotion gets triggered, we will never know what crazy things they can do. There are people that can't accept defeat and they will do all the means just to take back their losses and glory that they've lost in the process.

What if they've got no money left? And that's the craziest part comes in that some of them might sell their important assets because they want to pursue and chase their losses.
2063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: March 31, 2023, 06:41:25 PM
What can you say about what 23savage said about Filipino Dota 2 players? He's truly savage about that statement or he's just being bitter with what he has experienced after being kicked on his former team and was replaced when he's still with T1?

I thought that it's just an April fools but he really said that on his stream but then deleted it but he said that he's firm with that statement. And he's got no issues with his Filipino friends and he's still intact with them.

Anyways, his team - Talon Esports ended as the 1st place on this DPC season and will go to Berlin major with 400 DPC points earned.
2064  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Investment: Good Debts vs Bad Debts on: March 30, 2023, 11:12:35 PM
Please bear with me with what I understand about this matter. Good debt isn't just all about that you'll be able to use it on a business and other things that will be cultivated over time for which will generate profit on your own sake.

I think it's all about cash flow. Like the typical understanding we've got about good debts is you borrow money and then invest it on a business, that's it. But we're forgetting that when someone creates a business, the important thing on it is being liquid and the cash that flows within the cycle of that business so, it's an active thing.

Whilst in investing in bitcoin, you gotta be passive and wait for the right time on it. Well, it can still be said as a good debt since there have been college loans and we're also investing our future with our education and we wait until we're able to use that education we've learned.

So IMHO, it's either both. But I agree on him arimamib; if you can avoid to take a loan just avoid it in any case even if the cause is good like investing in bitcoin.

I think the debt can be avoided if there is no urgent need.  I mean even if you take a loan to make an investment it's not too wise for you to do because if you get a passive income per day/week/month you can set aside some of your income to invest in the long term it's wiser than you take a loan.

2066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Paying for crypto portfolio tracker? on: March 30, 2023, 11:36:52 AM
It's difficult to answer your question without you telling us exactly what features you're looking for.
Yes, it makes no sense to pay for subscription fees with these crypto portfolio trackers if there have been a bunch of it offered for free by just downloading them unless you're too specific on what attributes you're looking for OP.

Well, have you seen the Ledger Live? It will require you the hardware wallet itself of Ledger Wallet and you have to download and connect it to your HW and it does the tracking.

I've been using it as soon as they've updated it and I find it convenient. It has the desktop and app version.
2067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing against 2024 on: March 30, 2023, 09:51:02 AM
As 2023 is going to be a tremendous year, and the elite are working towards the new world order whereby new digital currency will be introduced. If btc happens not to be part of that agenda
We don't care what's with the elites or any conspiracies that are being built on your minds. Bitcoin is here to stay and that has been proven, the network of bitcoin itself can't be broken so easy. People tend to worry about such big people that's always been talked through conspiracies.

As a matter of fact, if talking about conspiracy and one world government, one world currency, the closest currency that can be considered with that is none other than bitcoin.

so will investing into btc against 2024 a wise decision?
It always has been.

If some old people really likes to get involved and invest in bitcoin, it depends to the person explaining them the terms and things about it like wallets, and all of those other important stuff.

So if it's made fun and interesting to learned upon, the age won't matter as it's being studied and that's why they are studying about it because they're keen to learn more about it and willingly to invest their money that might be from their pensions.

As said, it depends to the person. If it's made to be looked too confusing based on the explanation then it will be hard for the old people to catch up but if it's not then the opposite.

11 days is a long period of time for your withdrawal request to proceed. I am sure that they've got a system that sees those withdrawals that are on queue and if yours have been there for nearly 2 weeks, they'll take notice of it.

But since they're not taking action on it, you've probably haven't seen the reputation that they've got and doing some quick search on the web will show you that they've got 3 stars and even 1 stars for most of the ratings websites that they're part of.

And if a website rates them on 5 stars that's most likely was too old review and likely it was just during their launching. It's always good to check ratings, good and bad to give you the thought on what type of exchange they are.

I'm still wishing you that you'll be able to reach out to them and just grant your withdrawal request and if it happens, never deposit again there and leave them.
2072  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance sued by CTFC on: March 27, 2023, 11:00:35 PM
I've got little funds in Binance and all of those will be withdrawn later. I'm already thinking of getting out my funds and this news made it verified that I should really put it out even if I'm always there at most times to trade and do some spot and scalp trades.

I see that those were the reasons for being sued and while there's the file goes, CZ tweets that everyone shouldn't listen to the FUD that's being done to him.

Well, if it's proven and the court decides that he's guilty of it that's gonna be one of the worst part of himself and his business. While he's the one to speak out before the FTX debacle, here goes that he's on their shoe now.
2073  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you describe bitcoin to a newbie? on: March 26, 2023, 10:10:50 PM
Watch this video made by Andreas Antonopoulos and there are actually more but it's a nice start.

--> Bitcoin for Beginners: Bitcoin Explained in Simple Terms

Learning bitcoin and blockchain are two different topics and you need to set aside the other one first to learn what you want to go ahead and which is likely bitcoin.

Also, state in which part you're having hard time. What you've learned so far and what are those challenges that you've been met?

There are too many resources that you can search to know on what you're struggling with in learning about both.
2074  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Effective Approaches to Trading Cryptocurrencies for Profit on: March 25, 2023, 10:03:23 PM
@OP and every newbie that desires to be a profitable trader, you can do it until you test and have an experience about what actually it is.

Most traders are losing money than profiting. Even the best of the best can't avoid to lose money because that's how trading works, there will be winners and there will be the losers and that's a normal exchange in the market.

Yeah, easy to say all of those reminders whoever and wherever is the source of it. But if you come into the actuality of what trading really is, you'll get hard time doing it.
2075  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Do Kwon arrested on: March 23, 2023, 08:40:05 PM
If that's for real then that's the consolation his victims have got. Good for the authorities in Montenegro that he's arrested there. Well, with wealth and influence I think that he's still going to live well even under arrest.

Hopefully, there will still be some funds and assets that will be taken into custody by the authorities so that at least there can still be some distribution of wealth to most of his victims or else just take it and freeze it.

And what's much better to see, there's not that much impact on the market and that's why this is truly a good news.
2076  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Decentralized Exchange ViteX is cool ! on: March 22, 2023, 10:27:17 PM
Based on --> https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/vitex/

The volume that's coming from this decentralized exchange isn't really looking good. How it became cool if the traders aren't really going there to trade their stuff?

There's a liquidity issue on it and I don't think that many will like that and if they trade there, it's gonna take a while until they finally manage to have a successful trade and sale there.

You should at least share a link to the exchange and also include in this thread your personal experience and review with all the necessary details we need to make a good decision.
Most likely it was this --> https://vitex.net/

It's been 5 months already and then they're asking you to have it for another month in total of 6 months just to be on under investigation and review for your account? How much got you've in it? hundreds of millions?

To be honest, this is the first time I've heard of such a lengthy honesty check on an account. What's taking so long to check?
If muratkarabag is not withholding anything from us, it all looks very strange to say the least.
Based on the reply on him, it's all about "integrity investigation". I haven't heard such investigation type that's said to be integral that's taking a lot of time and it's a lot of hassle for the player.

I've heard investigations that has been done a week or two and even for 1 month but this is something else. Well, we can't do anything on it but just to give the support the idea that op is already exhausted and waited a lot.

I guess there's a way for it to be expedited and that's why he has to go to their thread and make them informed that it's quite unusual for the process to go that long.

If that's what they say, then add some more patience and just play what they've said that it will take for 6 months. I know it feels to be disappointing when it's truthfully too long for such review. A month is even that long already but 5 months and then asking for another one, that's crazy.

Try posting it on their thread so it will get more attention by their representative.
2079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: March 19, 2023, 09:04:39 PM
Anyone watching OldG games on Division 2? It’s so entertaining watching all their matches because you can feel that they just having some fun on all of their games while they trust each other on the game. There play give same vibes the old OG that win 2 TI championship. Resolution and No[one] are very good on there respective role because they are playing synchronized to the 3 original player of old OG. I think they still can compete on Division 1 if they will just developed more their game play. I’m rooting for this team to beat the top tier teams on Division 1 unlike their new OG that is now crumbling because of their pos 1 cold performance and pos 5 that can’t find a way to contribute a big impact in the game.

Old G is dominating the Division 2 tournament which means only few waiting until they will move on the higher Division to compete against the big boys. I really miss Topson, Ceb & Notail playing together again just like the old times. I hope that they will a good run with this roster.
I've got the same vibes watching. It's just so fun to watch them and I'm sure that behind those monitors, they're all having fun.

But I think these teams on the division 2 closed qualifiers are too far from the experience of Old G's roster. Well, they're not yet on division 2 and these games are qualifiers and if ever they end up 1st or 2nd then they'll be heading to the division 2.

And from there, the qualifiers will be tougher because Team Secret and Alliance are there together with other teams that are underrated.

If Old G's dominating streak continues, they're only 2 series away to be qualified.
2080  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think Bitcoin can end poverty? In a nation today on: March 17, 2023, 09:37:08 PM
There were a lot of success stories about people that have changed their lives by having profits in bitcoin and through investing on it. Many have earned their bitcoins through various ways and there goes the most common way of having it through buying it.

Poverty is a big thing for most countries that are known can't tackle this problem. And there are rich countries as well but still have some bit of percentage of poverty through their citizens that lives far from the city.

Dealing with poverty is so hard and it shouldn't be just taken by the people who are on that line but also the government has to do something about it. It's not new that there are a lot of bitcoin holders that have been on that line until they believed that bitcoin is their life saver and it did when the price went up.

Financially, they've been in a better situation and dealing with it still will depend on the person that owns bitcoin. Because he may have bitcoin and seems to be financially free but, if he's not capable on it and doesn't have the financial education on how he will expand and retain that wealth, it will be useless because he might just spend all of his profits for nothing.
