1781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 23, 2023, 11:54:23 PM
Many are optimistic with the new roster of the Phoenix Suns but I have this feeling that it won't be successful. We will see.
Me neither, if they can set back their superiority, they could blend well but if not, then I can see they will change a team again after or before their contract expires. That is the problem of a so-called super team and the cons of stacking-up superstars in one team thinking it's a good idea. Not realizing, not all superstars can give way.
That's why I admiring more now those teams that has a stack of players that aren't part of any superior team but they've been in the developing process.

We've seen this with the Denver Nuggets and we all have the seen that it's very possible to have a strong team and not having with a superstar players.

The chemistry and experience that these players got is way beyond the idea of having a superstar as they've got their own superstar in the making. I have also seen this with the Bucks as Giannis as their own stack and developed player that later on became a superstar.
1782  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is making a mess of my savings. on: July 23, 2023, 03:26:54 PM
snip~

. I don't disagree that we need to adapt to the rapidly changing conditions, but there should be some kind of control from the governments; it has gotten so out of hand that the average household can barely survive.

You need to accept what is happening and adapt to it. If not, do you have any solution for that? Are you sure that when your country has another government, they will make your life better, and why should you rely on them? It sounds like you're trying to blame everything because you're having a bad life right now, and it's not your fault. Although inflation is still there and will never disappear, why do so many people have more stable lives than we do? Is it their fault or ours or the government's?
Sad but I have to agree.

Even if these governments are too concerned with the rising inflation for each of them, they can't even control it and how much more we as citizens. We have nothing to do to stop or delay it.

We hold our own steering wheels of our lives and whether the government is obliged or not, we only have control to ourselves and what we're doing.
1783  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why Crypto may go wrong for some people on: July 22, 2023, 10:54:18 PM
It's quite simple to understand this, because those who use it incorrectly will always end badly and will not get any profit from the coin. I think there is no need to think about those who are wrong in using coins because there are many good ways that you can use to make a profit through the coins that we each have. This is about how it is used only, not about an acknowledgment from someone in how he used the coin to get nothing.
Right.

You don't need to approval of anyone if you're going to do it correctly. Mismanaging is gonna be dependent to the person who's holding. And if you're wrong with that, you have to analyze your mistake because eventually you have no one to blame but yourself if these mistakes come out.

We don't want nothing from these investments and that's why if there are people that have been unsuccessful on this venture, there must be something wrong with their decisions.
1784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 22, 2023, 12:39:58 PM
I remember that line up and roster for OKC. All of them were healthy but then, they didn't managed to win a ring together CMIIW.

KD did the right thing that he thinks when he's transferred to GSW and asked for it. It's because he wants a ring and he did with these guys. Right now, it's hard to see them back again.

Despite all of the other strong rosters, the game has changed a lot and a team with a lot of superstars doesn't fit anymore when they're all playing together.

KD decided to leave when he was only partnered with WB. Probably, the two no longer had a good relationship as there was no clear superior between them, as both were MVP candidates. So Durant was looking for a team that he could lead. Fortunately, Curry is a true sportsman; he stuck with the game plan and let Durant lead the team despite being the superstar of the team. With that chemistry, they won 2 championships together before Durant left.
And we are going to agree and even there's no KD on that roster of GSW, it's possible that the roster of theirs will still be able to reach the finals. And with now where KD is, on this trio, he's still the one that seems to be rocking and second is WB.

While with Harden, he seems to be just like a casual player that has a good scoring but sometimes doesn't have.

Many are optimistic with the new roster of the Phoenix Suns but I have this feeling that it won't be successful. We will see.
1785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 22, 2023, 10:23:09 AM
Perhaps they are still very young then, if and my memory serves me right, they have to trade Harden then to ease their luxury taxes. But I do agree, what if prime KD, WB and Harden playing at OKC. And then they have Ibaka and Perks at the middle and Fisher at guard position.

They could compete back then, but I guess they don't have the experience back then. And then KD moving to GSW was the final nail in the coffin for them as WB can't carry the team although he has the best statistical numbers for him and won MVP.

1786  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think selling your property is better than taking loan? on: July 22, 2023, 07:05:06 AM
I wouldn't take a loan and that's what I am trying to avoid at most times. If there are some things that I can sacrifice and I have to sell it if I am in need, I'll sell them.

Because I am trying to avoid the practice of being a borrower because once that I am able to take one and someone grants it for me, it's going to be a hard part on me because I'll think that it's easy to take loan and I may get again after repaying that debt.

I don't want to go into that process and that's why if there are some stuff and liquidating assets that I own, I'll choose to sell them over taking a loan.
1787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the adoption of Bitcoin in institution on: July 22, 2023, 05:40:38 AM
Snip
That is the reason why we see of these known economists and bankers have bashed Bitcoin before and told a lot of negative things on it, so that they can get in cheaply. They know how to enter this game.

Anyone who wants to venture into bitcoin investment or wanting to adopt bitcoin as a means of payment in their business shouldn't look what others may say at the cost of taking such decision as I believed they would always be a criticism and discouragement why they should start implementing that action into their business. Where as, there are lots of secret people who holds bitcoin and they often come openly to discourage people not to venture into bitcoin due its volatility levels but back in them they had some serious amount they've already hold and, they only does that to manipulate the price in other for them to hold higher volume as before.
Well, to be honest, everyone, institutions and individuals that are trying to enter to the market doesn't really go for the use case of it as a means of payment.

But we're all aware that we're all here for the same reasons and that's for Bitcoin being used as an asset, as a store of value. This tactic of discouragement in the public is known to the many when we've seen negative news has came.

Don't take them heavily because they're all here for the same reasons as us. They're not here for the tech, they're here for the money.
1788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the adoption of Bitcoin in institution on: July 21, 2023, 08:19:45 PM
I can categorically say that whatever institution that is adopting bitcoin does not adopts it for adopting sake, some of these institution are solely on profit maximization and also sometimes controls and manipulate the market to which they wanted.
Let's just say that most of them are like that. They have known for their foundations and that's truly for profiting sake and not for the adoption's sake.

Wherever money is, they'll chase and follow it. Thus, they're going with the crowd that adopts bitcoin and they see that there's a market on it that's going nowhere but into its growth.

That is the reason why we see of these known economists and bankers have bashed Bitcoin before and told a lot of negative things on it, so that they can get in cheaply. They know how to enter this game.
1789  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking for investor/partner - Short-term condition on: July 21, 2023, 05:31:04 PM
Guys. Thank you so much for your questions and participating my conversation.
Unfortunately, Kindly 🙏🏻 I don’t have enough time to convince you.
I love u. You always open my eyes!

Cheers! See u soon.
It's because usually with these investing offers are not going to end up very well. Many have been scammed with this type of purpose so you can't really convince a lot of people here especially those that have bumped this type of scenario and offer.

Since you're describing yourself as a good trader. Take your own money and use that as a capital and grow that over time. There will be no need for any convincing to happen and just trade on your own.

And let the results be the one to satisfy you and not those people that are doubting you.
1790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: July 21, 2023, 03:22:45 PM
Just to give an update, four teams have already said their goodbye that early to the Riyadh Masters. And these are the teams:
Beastcoast should've been one of the few teams that advanced, but their form isn't the same as it used to be. Entity was a bit promising after the first day, but they're unlucky to face OG over Beastcoast in the deciders.
I agree.

I was expecting that these two teams will stay further on Riyadh but they're not in the best form. Like for beastcoast, I thought that they'll have the same performance as what they've got in the Bali but then, they've been defeated straight 2 games by TSM.

While for Entity, they've got a promising start but then they finished so fast. I read something of what fishman said that they're quite confident and they got lack of communication, so we know now the reasons.

Hopefully, they'll be in best form during the TI qualifier.

How do the big whales do it?
I don't think they mix their millions with CoinJoin.
You'll never know if they're using mixing services but just think of it that usually, if they don't want to get tracked then they are aware of the existence of mixing services.

Whether coinjoin or whirlpool or any other mixing services. But does it makes sense for them to mix their coins? Because if they're a public figure, it's up to them to use or not to use it.

Is that even a big matter to think of? Because for me, I'll just go along with the market and no need to think about whether they mix or not.
1792  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wasabi or Samourai ? on: July 20, 2023, 11:37:30 PM
I have used wasabi but not with samourai. But then, there's this thread about Wasabi that you might want to see.

--> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5457560.0 "Petition to remove Wasabi from recommendations of bitcoin.org"

It is an interesting topic since it's one of your choice and you may want to proceed with it. But take a good read about it first and maybe that will change your picking decision and you may go with samourai or any other that's being suggested above.

Just to give an update, four teams have already said their goodbye that early to the Riyadh Masters. And these are the teams:

  • Execration
  • Entity
  • Beastcoast
  • Virtus.Pro

All of these teams aren't going to come home without nothing but with a whopping $50,000 each. This is what's good with this Riyadh masters, all of the teams even the lowest place will have a prize to take.
1794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Stop Gambling Even If You're Doing Great If This Happens To You on: July 20, 2023, 12:48:40 PM
I don't know but this is like only happening in movies or series in Netflix's or TV shows. If I'll be in that real situation for which I know that it won't happen.

I'll do everything to completely leave and quit gambling if the sum that's stake for my inheritance based on your explanation cannot be won in my life of gambling.

I'm not going to put pressure on myself and that's like the easiest job that I am about to do and effortlessly I'll receive money if I successful quit. So, it's a win-win to me.
1795  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I end up being into crypto and my journey up and low on: July 20, 2023, 10:17:01 AM
Such a bumpy ride that you've got but still, the journey never ends on this market and there's no exit if you're going to think of it. I do hope that you maintain your status and portfolio as you continue with your investing journey in the crypto market.

This is a common story for the many and it's not really easy at all. You are right that you either learn and continue and never give up because all of the hard work and learning you've gained, they're going to be worth it someday.

I assume that you've mined with the GPUs and that's likely when there's a shortage of the chips even til' now though but that time, the demand was too high so the prices are.
1796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: July 19, 2023, 11:31:37 PM
Comparing to other majors then when it comes to prize pool then Riyadh masters is really that having a huge prize pool on which it would be normal for teams would really be giving out their best in terms of performance
and trying out to place themselves at least on top 20 which you would really be at least getting some of the allocation but of course every team would really be going for the top spot or even on top #2 or 3 because
the prize isnt something that they could ignore.
It's just going to be a short period for them and that's why those teams that want to go to the next level needs a lot of 2-0. Those that are able to make it are likely have a bigger chance for the group stages where the action is going to be more what he's expecting to have draws.

These teams have already secured themselves for the group stages.

  • Team Liquid
  • Team Aster
  • Quest Esports
  • 9pandas

And there are going to be a lot of decider matches and that's the more crucial part of the teams that will go there.
1797  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: USB Mining on: July 19, 2023, 08:07:31 PM
Where have you heard or read about this USB bitcoin miner? For you to mine Bitcoin, you need an ASIC miner and that's not as little as an USB.

I do believe that you've watched a video like this: --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aEMh4esWBU&t=108s "Solo Mining Bitcoin with AntMiner USB Stick on Raspberry Pi"

At the end of that video it says that it's a lotto mining and mostly a gamble. And that USB is even going to be hotter that you barely touch it based on what the guy said on that video.
1798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin dethronement on: July 19, 2023, 06:41:48 PM
I still believe Bitcoin is the best coin ever and will continue to soar higher till there is nothing to dethrone or compare
Why would even this something like an opinion? This is a fact that everyone has to accept. Anyone who has the crave to compare Bitcoin with anything, there's a far reality from comparing it to XRP.

I wonder where are those projects that have the plan to dethrone Bitcoin before and claims that they're the next Bitcoin.

I think from being the next, they don't even in the line anymore because no matter how hard they try to say and claim it. It's never going to happen.
1799  Economy / Economics / Re: What's is daily budgets or expenses as a bitcoiner? on: July 18, 2023, 06:11:06 PM
On average, I spend around $8 per day, considering my earnings and the economic conditions of my country.
Are you single? That amount is too small for a family person but I think if you're a single guy and doesn't have any obligation, that's sufficient.

However, this question solely depends on individual’s lifestyle, responsibility amongst others and priorities differ greatly. As for programming daily expenses, it is possible to develop systems or tools to help track and manage finances effectively.
There are apps in the playstore or app store where you can download to help you track with your expenses and budgeting. These daily expenses doesn't need to define whether you're a bitcoiner or a trader or anyone in the market that's not so popular.

With proper planning and disciplined execution, such programs can contribute to more efficient financial management and help achieve long term goals.
Despite that, there are still people that are living in countries with high inflation rate and that's why they're having hard time to budget their needs.

Because a $10 worth of goods today, could be $11 or $12 or more by tomorrow.
1800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is Gamble gain more fans than Bitcoin? on: July 18, 2023, 04:32:39 PM
Gambling has already been there since the ancient times while Bitcoin was invented and launch on 2009. If your comparison is all about the number of Bitcoin investors and gamblers, definitely that one can conclude that there are more gamblers than Bitcoin investors.

Is this even an important matter to be compared? No.

There is no point with this comparison. No matter how many gamblers are there in the world, still, Bitcoin remains to be one of the fastest growing assets in the entire history of humanity.
