2441  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph- another "enhanced" KYC documents and process. on: March 15, 2023, 02:14:16 PM

2442  Local / Pamilihan / Re: PHLWIN Fraud/Scam nga ba? on: March 15, 2023, 12:55:59 PM

2443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Street Gambling Risk on: March 14, 2023, 11:57:13 PM
Not all countries are prepared to take necessary measures. Just because you reported the site might've been stopped. However it is really hard thing to find the person or group functioning behind and to stop them from creating more and more similar websites. Street gambling and what we see as online gambling fraud is completely different.
And as we know in local areas, there are familiarities about the neighborhood that operates there and with the authorities that are in their jurisdiction. That's why even if it's reported to the authorities, it's possible that they may take action on it but if they've been too familiar with the area and they can't go down deep to that hood, they'll just put your report somewhere else like in their trashcan. That's the reality, especially in developing countries, where there are activities like this in the streets and gambling operations are rampant there. They won't even have an inch of action for them to stop but instead, there goes the potential bribery that can be put to the authorities and officials that are assigned to that area.
2444  Economy / Economics / Re: Cash is not trash on: March 14, 2023, 11:27:50 PM
In my opinion cash will continue to survive and will never crash under any circumstances
Don't be too confident about it saying that it will never crash. Wherein, there have been worries that have been sorted out on how it's possible to crash and fall.

in fact we often hear that there are countries that have inflation up to hundreds of percent per year but these countries still maintain cash, this is because it is difficult to replace cash with any system,
Yeah, those countries that have hyperinflation still have some cash but their cash on that point is totally worthless. That's why they're looking for some other medium of exchange and payment and one of them is through US dollars. In Venezuela, where it's known to be one of those countries that are experiencing hyperinflation many transactions there are happening in the form of US dollars and digital. It's because by bringing even just $5 worth of cash through their v.bolivars, you need to bring a lot of it as in heavy forms and sacks of cash just to pay for the goods you're about to purchase.

if we think cryptocurrencies can replace cash, there will be many new problems that will arise.
It can be the best alternative for those countries that suffers hyperinflation but I don't see any problem on it but maybe, it's related to the government that will create that problem you're saying.
2445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A costly gambling mistake on: March 14, 2023, 10:56:03 PM
You have to look for the website FAQ and go through it first, I have seen some newbies that avoid doing this has they ended up shooting themselves in the foot.
You're not talking only about newbies because even if someone who's been gambling for years with crypto casinos, you'll find out that many of us don't read a lot and just hit the register button so fast.

Some even start spreading FUD on the forum about these gambling platforms that did them wrong, not knowing that they are the ones at fault, they are guilty because they don't read the rules and regulations.
It's their problem that they don't look back at the rules that they need to remember for them to stop spreading FUD. But it's like a revenge act for those frustrated gamblers and that's the retaliation that they do. And that's what we can blame for them by being hasty to not consider themselves that they're at fault.
2446  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there anything like Bitcoin savings? on: March 14, 2023, 10:24:28 PM
my question is, is it possible to also creat a Bitcoin wallet and always send Bitcoin to it as a savings? if you do that for some year without going back to the wallet, will anything happen to your Bitcoin or the wallet?
Nothing will happen and you can access your wallet anytime you want as long as you're holding the private keys/seeds that the wallet has provided to you.
It's worse than if you've got this plan and you do it on an online wallet or an exchange. You may earn some interest if you deposit it to their interest accounts but since your plan is to go back on it for some time in the future and you're uncertain about how long you'll just keep it there. It's much better to keep it in a wallet where you hold the keys as you also hold the funds by having that. There's no headache by just holding it to the wallet that I've said where you hold funds and keys rather than aiming to have those interest piles up and earn little from it but the risk is too high that the platform might go away and may suddenly file for bankruptcy.
2447  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Value till 2033? on: March 14, 2023, 09:54:29 PM
It is the mystery that we all want to witness.

Today's bitcoin price broke through $ 26,514, while now it is down at $ 25. 745. There are high hopes for maket recovery, but getting that $50,000 price tag would be difficult without high demand.
And it broke down to $24,500. It has already recovered sufficiently for which the lowest for this month was on the lines of $19k. @OP, the chart shows how the growth of bitcoin was stable in nature. No one has the crystal ball to know what will be the price of bitcoin after 10 years. But you check out how halving works and what the contribution of it to bitcoin's price, next year we'll have another halving, and the next of it will be by 2028, and before 2033, by 2032 there goes the last halving before it hits 2033. Each halving creates a big impact on the price of bitcoin and even with the uncertainty of what shall happen by those years for bitcoin, it's giving the confidence that it's more likely that price is gonna be more than $100k by that time.
2448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when people tells their story on bitcoin on: March 14, 2023, 09:30:37 PM
For those successful stories, I'm happy. No sign that I've felt left behind by those stories because I also got mine that I can say that's satisfying and successful for me to say.
As long as the stories are legitimate and not just a writer's fantasy made, I think we have that nature that we can feel and figure it out that they're just making up stories for them to attract people to invest in bitcoin. It's much better for those that have been doing that to stop it and just share genuine stories that are really happening and making people interested in bitcoin naturally and not with a way of hyping it which we've seen many times when the market is up and high. There were also sad stories that have been commonly shared on how they've missed investing in bitcoin too early and that's happening again for some people.
2449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DAI and USDC depegged! on: March 14, 2023, 08:56:20 PM
And the Bitcoin market is now back to normal.
Yes, it's back at it again and made a skyrocket gain today. The value and prices of those stablecoins went back again to their former although the gap is just $0.01 for it to be back exactly to $1 and that's the usual move of stablecoins.

I never thought I’d see USDC/DAI price at this low. Things quite stable right now, and USDC/DAI market both are getting back to normal. However, common folks were making a lot of money through arbitrage profits by based on weekend hour FUD. Credit goes to those people panic sold their USDC and thought it would crash and burn like Luna/UST without having a proper understanding.
Those that have sold didn't do their research about the backing of these stablecoins but who are we to blame them? For them, it's better to be safe than sorry but at least they should have monitored things in the market and the news that rotates around the two.

So, It's necessary to educate themself first before making any quick decisions that may harm their financial stability.
I reckon that an investor that's informed of the market that he's in, might miss some opportunities but won't panic in bad situations.
2450  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You Learn More from Losses than from Wins on: March 14, 2023, 08:31:45 PM
Losses has the best format to teach both money management and risk control. Profit for a newbie is like a blind folder. It builds confidence for massive loss in the future. Most of my strategies was perfected during my losses because i saw what wasn't working for me and it helped me improve on what did work.
Yeah, that's it. If we're on our losses then that means that there's something wrong with our strategies and we need to look at it and test it again. When it's effective and profitable then that means that we're doing the right thing and the strategies that we've come up with are very efficient and working.

If there are no losses there will never be a better understanding on how currencies move both in forex and crypto.
And that wouldn't make you more curious to learn more about the market and will have that question play in your mind on which part you did wrong. Having and taking that as a motivation will undoubtedly give you a wake-up call that you should research where you fell short.

The market is very strong for us to make accurate predictions but with consistency we are going to become pro traders
Easy to say the least but the market is truly unpredictable and it can fail us even if we've prepared everything. But I agree to you about consistency because even if you keep on failing but you're consistent on learning, the result will change and will be in your favor.
2451  Other / Off-topic / Re: Revolutionizing Artificial Intelligence: GPT-4 with 100 Trillion Parameters on: March 14, 2023, 07:53:50 PM
I am not hyped looking at that news although I'm also excited about what to see from it. There have been a lot of scares from the gpt-3 that have been said that many jobs will replace it so how much more with the 4 release. But it's not about that type of scare it's about how industries will adopt the release of gpt4. Yeah, it's for sure gonna be produce more things than in the past and it will make people more productive with their jobs. So, the ones that will be replaced as those that don't know how to use and maximize their potential but those that know how to use and take advantage of it through their tasks are the ones to stay. One that made me excited is how these tech giants respond to each update that they're releasing to the public. It's making them produce more features in an expedited process and we're all the winners here.
2452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is controlled on: March 14, 2023, 07:29:48 PM
Rather than saying that it's controlled, it's more likely that it is heavily influenced by the situation. Because as seen in the public, whenever there is news about FED and other news related to the banks and crypto, there's the reaction of the market that if it goes positively then bitcoin will react positively and so the alts too. It's like everybody is watching the market and waiting for some trigger until we all buy at the same time, yeah, even someone who's not having a lot of money is part of it as long as he adds to the demand. But one thing for sure is that nobody can expect what the moves of bitcoin will show. Like today, it has reached $26k and then it's starting to drop again.
2453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 14, 2023, 06:54:04 PM
The Ja Morant story just keeps getting crazier and crazier. Noow some are speculating he might be shut down for the season as he goes to counseling. Seems like he's doing it to try and save his Powerade deal but I think that ship has already sailed. Whatever he decides to do, I hope he gets himself figured out in time to return to the playoffs. What a shame this situation is for the Grizzlies who finally have a good team and were looking to make a deep playoff run this year. Steven Adams must be pissed off about the whole situation.
He's expected to lose $40M from that $50k strip club party that he went to. Such a crazy action resulted in a crazy dismissal that he'd never like. It will serve as a warning for most of the players that has a lot of deals and sponsorships and contracts that have been signed with.
This is such an expensive lesson for him and I guess he have just save a lot of other players for this trouble because they wouldn't do the same as what he did although there were some other players that have been doing such.
2454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Planting a tree and investing in bitcoins should wait a certain period of time. on: March 14, 2023, 06:04:58 PM
Planting a tree is commonly used to describe what investing is. That's what the people that I've talked to for a lot of years have explained and even my mother when she's teaching me how to invest. I'm glad that there were those people that have opened my eyes to investing and fortunately, I fell in love with investing and that's through bitcoin. It requires a lot of patience and you don't have to rush anything upon investing in it. There's a certain time that we need to do nothing and sometimes that we need to take actions like taking some profits or selling in losses to cut more potential losses that are about to come. As we plant(buy) right now, it's known to many that holding it is worth it and it's not just me and you that have experienced how effective it was but many, the majority of bitcoin holders knew it.
2455  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Experience on Bitcoin on: March 14, 2023, 05:32:14 PM
Has anyone ever thought of investing in Bitcoin in previous years, but later left out due to negative though that Bitcoin will not have positive value in time to come.
   Let share our experience.
As for me I still regret my actions years back, but I still believe that it's never too late.
I saw a lot of negativities when I was able to know what bitcoin was. It's quite hard because there have been too many pessimistic statements and discussions about it that have the only intention to destroy its reputation. Gladly, I wasn't left out and did see the bull runs that I've taken a little profit from it. Despite that, I wasn't able to maximize the potential profit that I can get during those times but I'm in and didn't been left behind. You're right that it's never too late because if you think that it's too late then you will really believe that it is. While many are going with the same situation that you've just said right now, they should take time to analyze the markets before they'll be the one that shall be left by the market.
2456  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you survived during covid19 ? on: March 14, 2023, 12:37:51 PM
I was terribly afraid during the covid 19 because of how I saw the news day by day too many lives were taken by the virus. But thanks to modern technology, the internet, and any form of entertainment. That's why I've spent my time forgetting that we're facing a crisis during that time. I've spent money through my savings and investments and that didn't make me regret it because it's been used to the best that it can. I was sad also because looking at those people that have got nothing to serve to their tables because of the limited actions and jobs that have been said due to restrictions. I didn't take a test but I believe that I've contracted the virus and as exactly to what the recovery period said, it was 2 weeks until I have become better from that time when I got sick. I was scared to take the test and go to the hospital because most of the experiences that I've read was even if the patient was healthy and just want to take a test to know if they have been infected by the virus, they will no longer come home and be there to the hospital until they become better. Well, most of those stories were scary because they never went back home alive but in a jar.
2457  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Social Trading Platforms evaulation on: March 14, 2023, 09:25:39 AM
Basically, it's all about their performance through their gains and losses and the metrics depend if it's on a 24-hour trade basis or if it's a week. But AFAIK, it's gotta be both of them which can be set by anyone who's looking for the top-performing traders.

and how do these platforms handle risk management for traders and investors?
It should be the users that should handle risk management and not the platform itself.

Do they offer tools like stop-loss orders, margin requirements, or position limits?
Most likely with these platforms like copy trading platforms and others that have been mentioned on the article, yes, they do offer stop loss and for you to know more about them, you should start using any of them.
2458  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: March 14, 2023, 08:47:14 AM
coins.ph user ako since May 2014 pa.

Yun din ung time na first time ko gamitin ung Binance P2P.
Nakakabring back memories din yung mga inquiries ko dati sa mga support nila like Thea which is napakabait and sobrang approachable that time. Di pa ako masyadong knowledgable sa crypto that time and they pursued me to know more about crypto which is a very good response sa support ng isang crypto wallet. I just don't know hows the current performance of coins.ph when it comes to customer service pero I commend the OG customer support of coins.ph.

2460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the future of bitcoin without powerful nations? on: March 13, 2023, 10:32:05 PM
Bitcoin will never disappear from the market. Maybe powerful countries rejected Bitcoin for a while but people all over the world are accepting Bitcoin. You will find many countries in the world that have not legalized Bitcoin but are buying and selling Bitcoin in those countries. A few days ago a news broke that a home owner in Portugal will be selling his house through a Bitcoin transaction. This is really a very positive news. I think bitcoin will never end its existence rather bitcoin will take better position as time changes.
Although that's not new that there have been sales of properties that have been conducted through bitcoin we don't have the stats of it on what's the percentage of success rate from those sales. But other than that, if someone is willing to sell his house for bitcoin then that means that it's still under a government where the sale resides. It's true that even some countries don't like bitcoin and place some strict protocol of stopping transactions made from it, they just can't stop the people from other borders of the world that keeps on doing where they're free to do it as much as we can. The future of bitcoin isn't going to rely on the government because even if some legalities will not be made for its usage, people will still invest and use it no matter what the sanctions may be.
