1461  Local / Pilipinas / Re: 6 Crypto Friendly banks sa Pinas on: June 13, 2023, 02:25:53 AM
I was checking UNO Digital Bank at mukhang marami pa sila kailangan ayusin.
1462  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: June 13, 2023, 01:56:48 AM
Every day its a new problem.

So I mostly switched to Gcash, but now Gcash is having issues with their crypto transactions ("Oops this token isn't tradeable at the moment." for all cryptos), so I deposited BNB at Coins, and now when I try to sell I get a "Quote failed. Please refresh and try again." error, over and over, then a "too many tries" error. Not even gonna bother reporting it to their customer service, am too tired with their problems.

Then I noticed that PayMaya had enabled crypto deposits finally, including for Dogecoin, so that's nice. Meanwhile most of the market tanked overnight but whatever, at least there's PayMaya, better than nothing, lol.
I also switched on Gcash(Gcrypto) for doing most of my transactions and I didn't know that Maya is now allowing deposits. This is good if they do and we've got easy access to these apps and we've got various choices on how we'll exchange our cryptos.
Looks like Coins.ph has got a lot of competitors already and they're not just competitors but big wallet apps in our country. I do hope that they're aware of the competition and the other apps are better now than them.
1463  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The effect of border opening to a country on: June 12, 2023, 10:51:04 PM
Border opening can either be harmful or be helpful to a country, it works vice versa. It can be harmful in the sense that bad goods and services can be brought in,weapons can be smuggled in, illegal migration of non citizens can have quick access to a country when the border officials are corrupt.
The bad side is they'll never know the immigrants/refugees if they've got bad intentions or bad habits so it will eventually out when they are already there. Like this news in France, an immigrant attacked children.

It can also be helpful due to the price of goods and services because there will be competition in the market place there by making goods cheaper, it also strengthen international relationship.
Yeah, that's the good side of it. There will be more people working and there will be more taxation for them as it will contribute to the economy of the country where they'll go. Thus, it should be weighed properly if a country really needs them or not. Most citizens don't want to see immigrants in their country and that's one reality.
1464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the best career for women on: June 12, 2023, 10:22:28 PM
Last time I checked bitcoin was actually a cryptocurrency and certainly not a career and not in what way so ever gender related.
It is still, people do just generalize that Bitcoin is like entirely an industry for which it is generating jobs and that's why whether it's male or female, they're associating it with gender related issues as if it's not making a bias of it which is true.

Bitcoin has brought wonderful opportunity to the world today and most certainly for those who have been using it as a means of investment but that doesn't still makes it a career.
That's true, it's made a lot of people's live good and well because of satoshi's creation. Without such, there will be no new industry like the blockchain, the altcoins market, the exchanges and other industries and companies that's focused with bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
1465  Economy / Economics / Re: Is renting an inevitable waste of money? on: June 12, 2023, 09:51:24 PM
It is really an inevitable waste of money indeed, but their nothing me or anybody that didn't have an inherited or personal house can do about this situation unless you are planning to make yours a reality, rent has become one of the major thing that takes more more from people today
You think it's a waste if you're not benefiting from it. There are working people that go from place to place and there's no other option but to rent.
That's the only way for them to save time from going to work so they rent places that are close to their offices and it's no waste of money because they save time. So either choose, spend more time traveling going to work but the expenses are the same when you commute.
Or do rent and use that budget for commuting for it. Circumstances do permit us and that's why it's essential for us to look at the sides where we'll mostly going to be beneficial upon renting. Not everyone is in good condition to have a house that's inherited from their parents. We're not all born with a silver spoon.
1466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important is it to keep your bitcoin investments secret from others ? on: June 12, 2023, 09:12:43 PM
In our local, there have been people being stabbed and attacked and it's no different from the $5 wrench attack. And that's because people knew that they were holding Bitcoin. So, it's better to remain lowkey and avoid being too talkative especially in public when you don't know the people you're dealing with. You will never know who are the people interested in robbing you and already had a plan to steal or attack you.
That's why I am not sharing it with the public anymore but still, it's kinda hard to avoid that because in social media, people do see what you're commenting on and what you're sharing so, I am being careful there. Sometimes you really have to give it in and remain happy on your own when you're making a profit if ever you do.
1467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stop gambling (sports betting, casino e.t.c)? on: June 12, 2023, 12:17:10 PM
Quote
The question is if you're a gambler or have someone who is, what's the best way to help out. And what's your story on escaping that addiction (gambling)...

How do you fight this battle?
The best thing to do is to stop and put an end to our connection to anyone who is a gambler. Staying away from them could easily make us to move on and forget about the stuff we do in the past.
The influence is right, if you're being influenced by a gambler then you can't quit for sure. But if you're already addicted and someone still keeps on influencing you and you can't stop him, you better need to find yourself a new place to stay if you can't avoid those people that influences you to gamble.
Like now, there are a lot of sporting events that can easily be influenced by anyone so, you'll be having a hard time getting out of addiction if there are people that surround you to gamble.
So, if you do want to quit and to stop, you have to find ways and initiate things so that you're helping yourself to get out of it and you're also doing your part alone.
1468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stake platform on: June 12, 2023, 10:28:24 AM
I'm not sure if you're here to genuinely ask question about the site
It's actually a shill thread that's pushing people to look after the article and website that he has dropped. I wouldn't think twice if I'll look at those links.

or here for some clickbaiting shit
That really what it is, making it like a legit conversation but he has dropped those links and won't be back to reply.
1469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC lawsuit caused massive market crash on: June 12, 2023, 10:04:25 AM
Looking at what is happening in the market I can understand the mood of crypto investors who are losing and panicking, this is an undesirable thing to happen in this market but it has been happening.
Most of the ones that are losing and panicking are new in the market. They haven't experienced this before and that's why they're feeling like that. Although they don't see this coming, it's such a nice experience for them to have it firsthand before the actual bull run comes.

However, if you really look closely at the problem, perhaps realizing that this is also part of the market and unavoidable, nothing goes up forever and nothing goes down forever. In the long term, my trust with btc as well as crypto has not changed, continue to accompany and monitor everything, I also have some plans to buy and hold btc as well as some altcoins.
We better take it like that, everything that happens now is part of the market and we can't stop it from happening. So, we need to adopt and we should plan our ways of dealing it. While the market is dropping down, we can buy as much as the market's concern if it's still not up.
1470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The US just banned altcoin trading. on: June 12, 2023, 07:30:48 AM
In the meantime, the US has banned altcoin trading.
They did not.
Coinbase is still alive and some other US exchanges. If so, there's already a closure announcement that will be made by Coinbase but not, they may have delisted some other cryptos but not entirely including other alts.

Which bodes ominously for the future of cryptocurrency.
Not really. We just need to think of something else while letting things happen there and occur naturally. There's no way to stop those and it's imminent to happen no matter what.
1471  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where can i get the crypto whales signal??? on: June 12, 2023, 06:45:12 AM
Guys, the market doesn't work like that. No one will give you ready-made high-quality signals.
And there's no such as high quality signals.

The bottom line is to work yourself in such a way as to get a quality result.
That's through experience and a bit of money that you're willing to spend and lose. In this market, the strongest-willed traders are the ones that are staying. Those that have determination are the ones likely to remain whether the market will be on their favor or not.
So, if you'll be just dependent on signals that are like fantasies, you're likely to lose more money from them because not everything that's said to be there are with integrity.
1472  Other / Off-topic / Re: YOUTUBE VS TIKTOK on: June 12, 2023, 12:09:07 AM
I also prefer YouTube, there are clips of great interest and video sizes that suit everyone, but TikTok is like fast food that does not benefit much.
And these are being consumed by most kids and teenagers, that's why it's no good when I am seeing those videos there. Not all are just for entertainment but I do see some that are for educational. But that's it, the majority of the content there is for trends and just for fun and that's why there's no essence that a kid will get there but useless content. Even those kids have made their lives end when they're following the trend that's why some of the content makers there are irresponsible and making that place bad for kids if they ever consume content there. While both platforms are now vast, I also prefer YouTube. I may not that be old enough to understand the trends why the younger ones like TikTok so much but I do like YT more.
1473  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: June 11, 2023, 11:40:53 PM
I agree with you. If it's a security issue, I think enabling 2FA is safe enough
Yes available and ready to be used without any risk, and this security feature can protect your account up to 80%+ and it doesn't require users much info to set it up.
It's a good measure to have this security feature by adding it to your account. 2FA is a good way to avoid the hackers of our accounts to penetrate and access our funds whether it's on a casino or an exchange quickly.

Unlike KYC where the player gives the documents and other personal details that are verified and kept in the casino database or other third-party data hosting sites which is prone to the risk of a hack or government access to those documents.
I think one reason why they do that is really for the government. They've been asked to do that because the government is asking them to do so, and they have no option but to provide everything for them and that's why they're asking customers to comply for kyc.
1474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: June 11, 2023, 11:11:55 PM
Nope, they've already finalized and released the roster of who are gonna participate in these tournaments. While some other PBA players are getting extension contracts, I have also seen those players that have declined it and chosen to play for MPBL. We can't blame them if they're getting better exposure through MPBL. I guess it's not about the salary or maybe it is but I know these guys want to have more play time and that's what they're getting sure with MPBL and other leagues.

I want to follow you with your statement regarding to those PBA players who decided to sign with MPBL, I know it's not about the salary but more on the exposure and for them to enhance their skills, with PBA they will have a limited time but with MPBL they can be one of the star of the team.

We can't remove the fact that there are many pinoy talents and good thing that MPBL are adopting those rising stars and giving them exposures.
Yeah right, MPBL is open to accepting players from PBA or from any other leagues because they're giving the same opportunity for all. Whilst in PBA, it all depends on the coaching staff and to the management if they're gonna give them their break. Well, with that situation we know what happened with Abandon being part of the national team and being coached by a PBA coach whom is Chot. And that's what's happening for some other teams that they don't give break to the good ones and that's why they're leaving the league and jumping on the other leagues because they'll get more playing time and exposure and the PBA is even not appreciating those talents and thinks high of themselves for imposing such rules.
1475  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is AI beneficial to the society? on: June 11, 2023, 10:33:47 PM
Depends on the person that looks at it. If a business is becoming more productive with the use of it then that's a good thing for them because they're automating the process and the way they get leads and other stuff that they need. It saves them time, money, and effort. While looking at the perspective that it is replacing people's jobs, these jobs are also going to upgrade and will require them to be more knowledgeable with AI. AIs have been there for a long time and I've firstly used them with games and I know that people understand what I am talking about if it's with the games.
1476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: June 11, 2023, 10:05:06 PM
Based on my observations, it seems that only a few fans here are watching the games. Unlike before, there used to be lots of updates in this thread every time there was a game.

It's because the PBA new season hasn't commenced yet. Currently, still on PBA On-Tour or Pre-season.
Yeah, that's because they're still on the tour and that's why we have to be patient on this one. This is like giving it all to the fans that would like to watch some live games. The official season will be back in October and this is also because they'll give time and window for the world cup and Asian games. This is good to see that the PBA is coordinating and also giving this to the national team which has been criticized before when they didn't coordinate and allowed some players from the big franchises to participant.
We have to wait longer this time as PBA is giving time for our National team to prepare for the upcoming World Cup and this is actually good, unfortunately Gilas team didn’t start their training yet as they as still finalizing the players. MPBL is rising, let’s not just compare and let the players enjoy the basketball. PBA is too small for our big population, its good that there’s a MPBL now to accommodate other good players.

1478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Astrology/Astronomy in technical analysis - Examples: Terra Luna and FTX on: June 11, 2023, 07:25:13 PM
I am not sure if someone does that but if there is then that's truly a rare strategy in doing so. I am seeing these videos related to astrology/astronomy and they're basing an event on what they're seeing from it. I haven't seen someone does this related to the market but it's an interesting approach to think of.

Is this just a coincidence?
Maybe it is, maybe not.

1479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? on: June 11, 2023, 06:57:28 PM
if someone gambles just to find entertainment, of course they will only bet according to their feelings and thoughts. different from compulsive gamblers they will not be able to stop when they have not got the win they want but they keep losing which causes regret after losing a few dollars.
There are times that we want to win even if we can't, that's how we try to chase the winnings even if we can see that it's gonna be difficult as per the situation permits. That's why for some, they're leaning towards the thought that they're just gambling for fun.

so it is very important to have a mind that thinks gambling is only limited to seeking pleasure so that you can control yourself not to lose too much at gambling.
It's easy to say this but upon going with the actual situation, you'll have hard time in dealing of what's the reality. But then, it's like a mental game as well and you have to remember what are your reasons for gambling.
1480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you invest in a project that might take years to outshine the market?? on: June 11, 2023, 06:17:40 PM
I found out in the blockchain world, many people are losing patience when they start to invest in a project. Their understanding about "long term" is no longer years but weeks.

Some project need time to build and shape. What do you think?
Well, can't blame those investors that are into new projects. That's how they see things with the newer projects because it's what it should be. Most new projects are just short-term because eventually they will lack liquidity and that's why the earlier they can be out, they'll be out. It's what they've seen from the past projects because of the developers and investors doing the same things again and again, they're making new projects cash projects as what they think to be and they're doing it before anyone else go out first. Yeah, it may be true that a project may take time to become successful but that's the developers have to deal with.
