1502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: June 07, 2023, 11:52:01 PM
But on the gambler's side, for sure the chance is too slim, not generalizing but for sure the most part of it will lose to the house.
Yep, the house always wins and that's a reality that we all know. But despite that, we're still here and there trying to win some and lose more than what we're winning.

But like you said, gambling was never designed as a source of income, instead they designed it for people who want to throw money away or waste it in vain.
It's designed for a few to make a business out of it but for most, yes it's true that it's not designed as a source of income. It's a place to have some fun but others are breaking that reality and still trying hard to achieve something from it.
1503  Economy / Economics / Re: 3x inflation in my life time (Im 30) does bitcoin fix this? on: June 07, 2023, 11:00:49 PM
Inflation is like the arch nemesis of the entire world, there's no way to defeat it. And as the year passes by, the inflation rate will just gonna keep on rising even if the economy is doing well. Is bitcoin fixing inflation? I guess it's just for individuals because it's a deflationary asset so as the inflation keeps going up, the value of it will rise as well and that's how it will keep it but it's not gonna solve it for the entire world's problematic issues like inflation.
1504  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Biggest challenges of bitcoin... on: June 07, 2023, 10:27:26 PM
Regardless of those challenges, speaking of my experience, it's always been worth it to invest in Bitcoin. But this do require a lot of patience and a lot of work in progress before you can finally see that it's worthiness.

It seems to me that bitcoin itself is a challenge. One has only to remember how many times the price has changed over the past year, for example. I think traders understand this))
Even investors understand that but it's nature of Bitcoin that can't change. The volatility itself is one of the best qualities of bitcoin for which many are seeing how one can earn from it and use it as an investment or asset.
1505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 07, 2023, 09:47:13 PM
In a turn of events Ja Morant's people now claim the gun in the 2nd video was a toy gun.

They didn't say that weeks ago when the story first broke, but now they do.  Grin
Very reasonable to believe that number 1 wannabe thug Ja is flashing a toy on instagram live, hahaha.

30 games sounds a lot but some people such as NBA analysts and so on even thought it could be a whole season.

In my opinion, he is a grown man. If you want to play with fire, don't complain when you burn yourself. He will be fine money wise, hopefully he finally learns something out of the whole story.

If not, this can end badly.
For real? Whoever came up with that idea is genius, kidding aside. I guess that there's no way out there and that's why they need to make up a story and just said in defense that it's a toy gun. Well, they are right that it can't be validated if it's just a video or a picture that has gone viral because it can't be checked for its authenticity. If 30-games suspension has been imposed on him, there will be penalties on him right and that shall be deducted to his contract/salary?
1506  Other / Off-topic / Re: Am a christian,christ like then why are you still poor. on: June 07, 2023, 09:22:44 PM
I don't understand if this is a legitimate question but as per observation, you're right. But having status in society won't really matter if you're a Christian or any other. It depends on the living of these people and what if the ones that you've seen were just starting their lives to get up but it's not yet visible because they're not showy? There are non religious people that have the same living so, it doesn't mean that because they don't believe in anything, that makes their life struggling.
1507  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: June 07, 2023, 08:57:24 PM

1508  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Selfie Verification sa Gcash on: June 07, 2023, 12:57:23 AM
Although there could be issues naiisip ko like hindi ma approved and selfie mo or there could be some form of glitch.

And again, this could be taken advantage of hackers as well, baka may matanggap kayo na text messages at sinasabing kelangan nyo i click ang link nakasaad dito, so just be careful since mukang prone ang Gcash sa ngayon sa mga hackers lalo na nung nagawan sila ng breach the last time, tiyak cat and mouse game na to, Gcash vs mga hackers.
1509  Economy / Economics / Re: Quit borrowing on: June 06, 2023, 11:50:49 PM
Investing with borrowed money, especially in assets like Bitcoin, is actually more stupid than planned investing. While there have been cases where individuals have made substantial profits from investing in Bitcoin, it's really not that much, and I find it more fortunate than a well-intentioned scheme. Profit is not certain, so work, and once a case of loss occurs,
It is a bad idea and even starting a business that's come from loaned money unless you're that rich type and you can pay that forward if ever the business fails. We can imitate what the rich can do but it's not that everything they do can be done because of the status that we've got for each of us.

I think life will turn into a very wonderful new chapter when debt is not paid.
It's the opposite, life will be better if debts are paid. If someone believes in karma and has taken a loan, he'll do something to get it paid until full but those that don't believe it, they'll just leave these people behind and the won't have to bother themselves pay the debt.
1510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: June 06, 2023, 11:24:53 PM
Not only you should be playing on it for a while, but you should also try to withdraw your winnings and see how it went.
That's right, proof of withdrawal is gonna draw more referrals if you do the right thing and able to experience both winning, losing and even withdrawing.

Like Drake, and other whales in Stake.com, I've seen a lot of gamblers there who bet for 1 BTC up and they can even afford to double that amount whenever it is a failed round. Rich guys. I doubt users like me can easily refer them, they must have some connections who will be the referred users instead of us.
IMO, it's not a waste of time if you pick the right guy.
These are like big shots in the community and some of them might even be more familiar than us in gambling and even in crypto. These whales are like the silent people in the gambling community and only follow the lead of people like Drake.
1511  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you save, when you are wealthy? on: June 06, 2023, 10:55:22 PM
When we have not been able to achieve success, saving is a way to accumulate money in order to open a business so that we can feel glory, and people who are already rich today they do not stop to continue saving until later until their old age, and at that time they just enjoy the results of their savings without having to work at their old age,
That's what we're strategizing when we're about to open up a business or an investment. We save to invest and to start a business and that's how it goes. While it's true that the rich keeps on saving, they're also keeps on investing. And that's how they afford a vacation at most times while they're already old.

And now there are very many rich people who have invested in various places including in the crypto world, and they believe there is a time to enjoy all the results they get later.
Right, it's like suffer now and enjoy later. That's the logic behind it and everybody would want to have that type of life that they're not struggling financially and enjoys everyday of their lives.
1512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think Casinos Should Do Survey From Time To Time To Assess You. on: June 06, 2023, 10:23:20 PM
-snip-
I agree with you. Its pretty much time and effort consuming process to keep surveying your customers and trying to detect things through these operations. I think it would vastly increase their costs anyways to work with new developers that will develop and operate such systems. I think business-level default solutions are good enough.
It's up to them if they'll do that with their cost or with their existing devs but for most users, this is gonna take a lot of time and that's real. Nobody wants to get checked or get these surveys a lot of times, as in said from time to time.

I think even open ai may be developed to find out which customers are more addicted and which are not through their gambling history. Free/cheap solutions are okay.
Depends on the data that they'll integrated using AI but are they willing to spend such money just for this feature if they've got a self exclusion feature already?
1513  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your favorite season to trade cryptocurrency? on: June 06, 2023, 09:56:42 PM
It seems to me that usually cryptocurrency is not tied to the season at all. To reports, and other things - yes. But by the time of year, definitely not.
It's because its volatility is visible during all seasons, no matter what season where we are there's not that much that changes at all if it's the volatility. During the bull run, we see crazy movements of its upwards and then during the bear market, we see crazy low and decreases a lot expectedly.

The value of the entire cryptocurrency market is less now because the price of Bitcoin is down and we are all waiting for it to go up so more altcoins will gain more value and increase the worth of the entire .market with time.
Yes and that's when the bull run comes. The entire market cap is low as of the moment but we'll see how it's gonna be up again when the bull run comes. We don't know how many times it will multiply but that's gonna be an assured thing when we come there.
1514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do meme coins have a future? on: June 06, 2023, 09:30:06 PM
I don't understand why meme coins such as Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and Pepe are so famous and why do people invest in them, wondering about the future of meme coins.
It's because of the hype that it all started and that's why people are rushing to invest in it because of what these early investors have started. I think it all started with Elon's tweets and that's why many have become interested in Dogecoin and then it's passed on these meme coins.
There is nothing interesting about it until someone is able to make a hype out of it and made it look like that he has made a lot of profits so that everyone is gonna feel that he's missing it out which is the popular, FOMO.
1515  Economy / Gambling / Re: lucky block casino locked my account for no reason demanding kyc funds lost on: June 06, 2023, 01:10:10 PM
I have never heard of them, so upon KYC they will keep your account and will allow you to keep gambling with them. And as you decline, they'll block your account but did they allow you to withdraw your remaining funds?

I think they're just mad I tried to withdraw to another casino so quickly and have stolen my funds.
They'll never know if the withdrawal address is going to be in another casino.
1516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About altcoins that are released in a bearish market condition on: June 06, 2023, 12:03:55 PM
Is it right to call a project shit coin when it's been released in a bear market and the value keeps going down
Everyone can call whatever they want to projects whether they're successful or not and whether they're launched during a bull or bear season.

isn't it expected to go down because it was released in a bear market?
Usually yes. Most projects that have been released on the bear market have little chance to become successful because the market is sluggish and most people would avoid investing in any of these projects.
1517  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Earning online more preferable than offline? on: June 06, 2023, 09:25:52 AM
I cannot say that there can be any too big difference in terms of earnings between these job options.
There is, you work in the comfort of your home if you choose to work online and with a WFH setup. While people's thought about working offline is you go onsite.

When it comes to earning money, online gigs have some sweet advantages over traditional day jobs. But hey, let's not underestimate the hustle of offline work—it's tough but appreciated. Now, trading, my friend, that's a whole different ball game. It puts you to the test, big time. Your greed, emotions, patience, discipline—it's all on the line. How you handle failure, your self-control, common sense, and determination, it's all in the mix.
That's right, online jobs and gigs have been there for the longest time and many have been enjoying working through this. But there is no debate that working also with these hustles that need to be offline and onsite, they're also great. In terms of putting food in our tables, there's no debate on which is better but as long as we do our responsibilities and we make clean money, that's it.

1519  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Atomic Wallet Hack on: June 06, 2023, 07:40:22 AM
Regardless kung open-source or not ang isang software wallet, still always opt in for hardware wallet kung para sa long-term investments.

1520  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can the ban on smartphones curtail peer pressure? on: June 05, 2023, 10:41:21 PM
That's how I've been raised but until I talked to my parents that I need to have it so that they have a contact on me wherever I go. I think it will still go case to case basis. If the kids are too naughty and they are overwhelmed with the technology like having smartphones and they're not using it the right way, I guess that's all these parents have to do and that's to ban them until they grow up to the right age.

But from what I gathered in the news, it restricts children from the age of 8-9 from using smartphones and I believe this is the age bracket of Gen z who are characterized as digitally smart.

The use of smartphones have been banned, what about laptops? Won't these vices be gotten on there?
Aside from the ban, there should be patronizing as per the usage of these devices and gadgets on how many hours they should be used. It's needed for research and studies but if they're not using it appropriately then their parents will be forced not to allow them to use it.
