2441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rising, Scams Rising on: August 11, 2019, 11:29:50 PM
Bitcoin is increasingly loved. Of course, this attracts the attention of bad people to get Bitcoin. Be careful if we want to buy and invest in Bitcoin. Make sure the website you choose to buy Bitcoin is a trusted web exchanger. Because in fact, many smart hackers make scam websites to steal your Bitcoin. Do not let us be disadvantaged because we are less careful in choosing the web to invest.

We should spread a lot of threads that consist of information about legitimate websites to buy bitcoin. People will take advantage of those people who lack the information on bitcoin.
--
But I don't think they'll buy bitcoin today since it's rising now and too late. We don't know if Bitcoin will still go higher than $12k or will stay less than $11k.
2442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I hate Banks and love Bitcoin :-> on: August 11, 2019, 11:27:13 PM
Yea man banks suck

I do not like banks also. I am not happy that the government has access to my account, it can look at my balance, and if it wants, it will freeze it. I hate waiting for 2-3 days for a bank transfer, we all know that this is not due to technical reasons, banks simply profit from our money, delaying it.
I am not satisfied with their transfer fees; they are too large for such a poor quality of service.

Why do they freeze your account if you're not doing anything wrong?

I mean freezing account are for those people who violate the law so they can't access the bank and leave the country. Actually, some of the banks accept bitcoin for money transfer, and it's very fast and helpful. Maybe the banks in your country are really poor eh'?
2443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Hackers Bombard Chipmixer to Launder at Least 4,836 BTC on: August 11, 2019, 11:20:08 PM
At least 4,836 Bitcoin (BTC) of stolen from Binance exchange in May 2019 was laundered through crypto mixing service Chipmixer.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/binance-hackers-bombard-chipmixer-to-launder-at-least-4-836-btc
How sure and reliable is this information? With regard to the fact that cointelegraph posted this article doesn't really guarantee that the bitcoins were the ones stolen from binance. I think we should take our time to further analyse this info well before drawing possible conclusions.

So do you think that cointelegraph wasn't a reliable source of information?
The news was already on other bitcoin news site.

Try to read this also mate.

2444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin so valuable just because it was first? on: August 11, 2019, 11:17:45 PM
The valuability of Bitcoin is not solely because it was the first workable decentralized digital currency but the introduction of blockchain technology into the world's financial space.  Blockchain technology is the major contributed to the valuable nature of Bitcoin due to the fact that the world is gradually accepting the use of blockchain techmology for data and financial analysis..

I think I might agree with you 100%. So far as blockchain technology is been used by people and institutions or platforms, bitcoin will always be valuable since blockchain technology and bitcoin move hand in hand with each other. Bitcoin will only become less valuable when blockchain technology is no long in use.

Because of bitcoin, blockchain technology was introduced in the community. We always associate bitcoin with blockchain. No wonder, mass adoption is great in bitcoin as compared to any other altcoins. Many have copied, imitated, improved the bitcoin network, yet, they do not succeed in competing with the popularity of usage of bitcoin. People always go back to bitcoin.

Agree, the advanced technology that we must cherish is the blockchain. It's great and we can have more innovative developments on that advanced technology. That's the reason why Bitcoin rose up, it's because of the blockchain that holds the bitcoin for so long. Once the blockchain technology gets more additional features, they will stay and invest more on bitcoin because the possibilities to reach the moon will get bigger.
2445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is better than gold and USD? on: August 11, 2019, 11:15:31 PM
On what terms?

When it comes to payment, bitcoin was really the essential thing to be used for the transaction. Gold is used for a lifetime material in case of emergencies and other stuff. But for me, they're quite different though, they can be used in transactions but in different ways so it's not good to differentiate those two. They have a unique purpose on this and only a few people understand those.
2446  Other / Beginners & Help / [TRIVIA] THE TOP 20 UID OF BITCOINTALK on: August 11, 2019, 11:08:05 PM
Lately, I just noticed that the UID of satoshi was 3 so I get curious to the other first members of this forum. So here's the top 20 UID of bitcointalk.org.

I tried to look his/her post but it shows "Sorry, no matches were found" even though he has 7 posts on his/her profile.

That's because all of this account's posts are on the staff board, which is inaccessible to non staff members.

They were nothing interesting; all 7 were simply test posts and testing basic forum functions like quoting, code boxes, and editing.
You can see all the posts in the pdf files found at the following link: https://bitcointalk.org/first_topics/

2447  Economy / Economics / Re: Differences between an investor and common man! on: August 11, 2019, 10:36:46 PM
The common man sacrifices the future for the moment.
The investor sacrifices the moment for the future

I liked it.

It's true that a common man can be easily tempted and spend all of his treasures just for a single moment of happiness. An investor will think intellectually and spend wisely for the betterment of his/her future.

So we consider ourselves as an Investor since we invest time so when the moment comes, it'll brighten up our future.
2448  Economy / Economics / Re: What are the benefits of bitcoin to my country (Nigeria) economy?. on: August 11, 2019, 10:33:43 PM
what can it offer that my local currency can't to improve the economy of the nation?

The growth of the society, if they adapted the capabilities of bitcoin, it's possible to boost the growth of your society/community and through it will continuously develop its technology.

Maybe in politics? We know that Bitcoin is decentralized so it can't be affected when there's an economic problem or political issues in your country. We also know that the more users of Bitcoin, it will instantly grow and all of us will benefit in this growth. But before that, knowledge is the key to make it all possible. There are so many ignorants and they think that BTC was for wrongdoings.
2449  Other / Archival / Re: Is KYC benefit to crypto people or not on: August 11, 2019, 10:21:20 PM
Absolutely not, this was already mentioned on every topic. KYC wasn't introduced when bitcoin came here, it's just a way of securing their platform so they require KYC. Also, you have an option to avoid KYC and there's a lot of platforms that don't require it.

It's very dangerous to send you personal information to a platform that pop-ups out of nowhere.  Cheesy
2450  Economy / Services / Re: ▄■▀■▄ 🌟Bitvest.io🌟 - Plinko Signature Campaign (Member-Hero Accepted)(New2) on: August 11, 2019, 10:09:42 PM
can I again participate in the bounty campaign?

I was here once, but was expelled from the contestants for not writing a post for 2 weeks.

I already mentioned about that - I had a block for 7 days and deleted the posts of the previous week at that time

I would really like to become a part of this project again. it really impresses me. Roll Eyes

IMO, I think it's impossible for you to get back. Since you didn't manage to finish the task for 2 weeks, it shows a bad impression.

I know that there's a lot of good poster out there who wants a slot on this campaign.  Wink

2451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: August 11, 2019, 09:38:46 PM
Already edited it.
I felt sleepy when typing those, my bad.

Did you ever win a huge amount on gambling?

I know the fact that all of us win and even a dumb person can win on gambling but do you think it's a huge amount of money?
'cause I know that some of you weren't really a gambler so I ended up asking if you ever win on gambling? Since all of you said that you win (literally being honest  Roll Eyes), then changed it.

Most of the replies are just repetitive and didn't intend to understand the OPs real point.

2452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: August 11, 2019, 08:10:29 PM
In my experiences, I already won but a little amount of BTC only betting on a boxing fight which is Pacquiao-Thurman fight.

Now can I ask you, did you ever won a huge amount of money on gambling?
Share your experience.
2453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Choose Lottery Instead Of Anything Else? on: August 11, 2019, 08:08:16 PM
I think most of the people want to get huge success in very quick time that is the only thing lotteries is famous in in everyone's mind set so it cannot be changed by everyone if you got the luck and timing then lottery is very favourable for you that's why I think people always choosing this kind of thing.

that's one that is expected by everyone because to be able to get the jackpot on the lottery purely based on luck, many of them are willing to buy lots of tickets to get a greater chance of winning the expected jackpot.
besides, lottery is an easy game that anyone can do because no special skills are needed at all

Well, I'm lucky that I don't have that kind of mindset. People are just greedy and always thinking the easy way. I'm more about practical ways so I don't want to recommend this method. Being a winner on a lottery is very impossible because it has a low probability of winning and there are many people who bet on the lottery.

Just save your money to something important than betting on the lottery every day. Think about it, that money that you've invested in the lottery for how many years, imagine how much is that?
2454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: August 11, 2019, 08:03:30 PM
of course, there are a lot of different types of gamblers who do it for a living. there are professional poker players and also "real" gamblers. they have found their strategy and they have their emotions under control. (which is the most important thing when it comes to gambling)

Yes, they know how to control the emotions and they easily accept the fact that they lose.
That's the characteristic of a professional gambler that makes gambling as a living. Through those methods, they can sustain their lives and earn profit by gambling.
2455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does hard work in gambling count? on: August 11, 2019, 08:00:54 PM
I have repeatedly watched the game of poker among professionals who sit at the table for almost 12 hours and play, smoke and drink whiskey in great stress.  If the game begins in the evening, then in the morning these people are not only psychologically, but also physically exhausted.  I think that such a gamble is really so hard work.

Those are people you see on Tv,professional players who play poker for a living, poker is their life profession and they have a lot of money in real life.If you can manage to become one of them you have successfully solved your life from economical problems.

Average gamblers, normal people cannot stay up that long as they have to go to work, they can try a Saturday night in poker but they will not resist temptation and most probably they will lose all their money.Hard work does not count for a long time but it can be beneficial if applied right for a short amount of time.

I think hard work counts especially when gambling is considered a job for them. They're really thinking hard just to win the game, did you know how hard to bluff an opponent. Well, I might consider it as hard work though. Not everyone can do that, it's a special skill and you must do hard work to maintain and fool the opponent and win the game.

2457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the *easiest* profitable betting strategy? on: August 11, 2019, 07:52:41 PM
well Affiliate / Referral  is for me the most profitable strategy to earn on gambling. Too bad I am using that earnings to gamble so in the end i am still even.  Roll Eyes

Gambling affiliate can be good also but it doesn't come as 'easiest betting strategy* as OP has asked.
Moreover, for one to earn easily from online gambling affiliate, he/she might have had a pervious long history of audience, aside this it will be difficult for a new marketer. This adds up to marketing a good online gambling site that pays well, if they are genuine, bringing people to them would be less tasking.

Generally, referrals aren't the easiest way on betting because not all of the people are capable of getting a referral. Betting was the easiest way especially when you know the genre of betting like sports. If you know the sport and have some information about the teams, you can easily win on betting. If someone asking what's the easiest way, we should consider all of the factors.
2458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: August 11, 2019, 07:45:50 PM
There are many people who live in gambling especially professional gamblers.

If you know Daniel Negreanu, he's a champion of poker: six World Series of Poker bracelets and two World Poker Tour championship titles.
I admire him when he's playing poker because he's good at bluffing. Try to watch his plays, you'll get mind blown.
2459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I've lost on: August 11, 2019, 07:42:19 PM
This is like digging up your own grave, sorry for your losses. Don't you have other things to do like a day job to get back up? I don't know what your real situation is but I would have not gambled all those satoshis.
Absolutely he dug his own grave. Like my humble self once I bet and loose consecutively I stop the game and proceed for another day but so many are called gamblers don't understand how gambling works, a day for loose and a day to win, so, know more about your lucky days and most of the unfortunate days. Setting limit here will work pretty good here if adopted.

He's not thinking about his/her future so he/she ended up like that. We should use our intellectual minds on making decisions so we can't end up losing even that losing was a common thing in gambling. He should divide her/his money to sustain his/her wonderful life. 60k was a huge money and many people can eat because of that. I hope this post must serve as an advice for all of us.
2460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about Gambling and e-sports? on: August 11, 2019, 07:38:17 PM
--

Actually they have differences.
Sports only rely on their body within the game while esports rely on internet, on the specs of their consoles etc. Even they have enough skills, if they have low internet cinnections then they will fail.
Why not having a high speed internet connection rather than slow internet connection. Esports and sports have difference and that includes spelling with the letter E. E stands for Electronic which means that when playing esports games then you have to use a device to be able to participate. Esports is a competition in a form of a video game that you desired to play while sports is you have to physically participate in the match.

Lol, we shouldn't argue on this matter because it's obvious that it has big differences.
eSports was focusing on online games while sports are physical activities.

A game where all of the platforms that include internet connection and an online device, that's called eSports.
