1461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One mistake and l have lost all bitcoin on: June 11, 2020, 11:23:33 PM
Learn from our mistake is the best education in cruptocurrency. Don't rely on others, just do your own reseach and study because at then end you will suffer alone from your steps and decision. Also never stop whatever mistakes you've done just go on.

For all the newcomers one should not directly invest in any coins. understand what is crypto, what are the coins, what is the project and what is the future. Do you research and read this forum for more details. Ensure one has full clarity about what they are investing and for how much time. Only after fulfilling everything go ahead and invest in such coins. Else at times it is better to stay invested with good coins as returns could be rewarding in coming times when the bull runs hit the market.
Agree, I guess as an investor, they should do they part which is having research on that specific asset. If they just rely on the coin, most of the time, losing is always happening. Also, do some research about the top coins that have a lot of potential so you can grow your money in a long-term investment.
1462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep a spreadsheet for you wins and losses for tax purposes? on: June 11, 2020, 11:02:47 PM
Never did this way. I gamble for fun and not seriously for money. I assume that people who record their wins and losses on a spreadsheet, totally gamble for money only. In this way, someone will count regularly how much he spent money and how much earned money. It is too serious for me, and will be useless even I know to have more losses than profits. I am aware that I never expect to earn regular money from gambling because it is almost impossible. So, I don't care about how much money I spent. You know, making a list of losses in a spreadsheet will actually stress us out!  Cheesy
Same, the winnings and losses do not matter to me as long as I'm having fun and being entertained with my friends. Keeping a spreadsheet or tracking your gambling history will just stress you out for knowing that you've spent a lot for nothing. Gambling isn't a good way to earn a lot of money if they want to have a lot of it, then they should practice and find a decent job.
1463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao Might Fight Golovkin on: June 11, 2020, 09:58:58 PM
Obviously I will put my bet on Manny Pacquiao. The fact that they are considering this match means Manny can win against Gennady "Triple G" Golovkin. Though can Manny really do the weight change? If this will be the fight, I will really beat on MP. Another boxer against him with a height advantage, Manny can knock him down or beat him up.

Uhmm, I think you are just a very avid fan of the Pacman that you bet on him without first examining the opponent and this time you will lost your bet but fortunately for you mate, this fight is not gonna happen. In the first place, team Pacman is not considering this fight, it's only Roach who spread this rumor and he ain't the trainer of Manny anymore, he will be in Manny's corner as a consultant AFAIK.

Manny have the luxury of cherry picking his next opponent and it would be between the two Garcia's (Danny and Mikey) if he can't get that rematch with Floyd Mayweather.

Reading your post, yeah I guess you could say I am an avid fan of him. Been betting to him since he's putting a show on every flashy ring he went up to, either Las Vegas or in other places. Though it is not that I am underestimating his enemy. Triple G is a great boxer, I just remembered how people debate like this when Manny fought against Margarito which is also a great boxer with a great advantage in height against Manny. I just thought that it would be the same.
You can't compare Margarito and Triple, the only similarities is that they are both tall and natural bigger guy than Manny Pacquaio. And Margarito was very slow and just move forward because he has a great chin. Manny did destroy him and it was a different version of Manny back then. Today, Pacquaio have lost his step and seems to be gassing out in later round like what we have seen against Thurman.

Age is great factor and do really affect everything from speed to reflexes to stamina etc. We can see the difference in age but not really that much since Golovkin is already 38 years old as i remember.
I dont know why people do presume out Margarito with GGG as we can see the difference between fighters and i can say that ggg is way more dangerous and much better.
I still doubt the winning chance of Pacquio on here even if he do have the speed but it would really be enough to take him down? It would be hard.
Agree, in every sports that we're playing even where very skillful and have a lot of experience on it, when our time comes, we must let go. Especially on this kind of sports which requires a lot of stamina, Pacman is too old and Golovkin is 3 years younger than Pacman so there's still a gap between them. I want Pacquiao to win but I guess it'll be really difficult for him to fight GGG. The size factor is not a big deal since Pacquiao already defeated boxers that's bigger than him.
1464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Reasons Why I Prefer a Bitcoin Mobile Wallet on: June 10, 2020, 11:47:17 PM
1. They are costly if you are paid in Bitcoin as a bounty hunter or for a gig. Actually, there's a sale recently and I guess you can afford it if you want a secured wallet. I also don't recommend bitcoin mobile wallet, there are many wallets that's already been hijacked and none of us is an exemption on that.
2. They are a liability as if, you lose it you will lose your investment.
3. They are not easy to operate and most exchanges do not support them.
4. They have to be updated periodically or you will never see your Bitcoin in them.
5. They can still be hacked if you are using them online for trading or other stuff.
Actually, there's a sale recently and I guess you can afford it if you want a secured wallet. I also don't recommend bitcoin mobile wallet, there are many wallets that's already been hijacked and none of us is an exemption on that. Same with Mobile wallet, you lose your account due to hacking, you will lose your investment. It also defends against some malware or ransomware and also provides a separate system password for another protection to your wallet. Our smartphones are always exposed to the internet, 24/7 it has a connection and having spyware is possible as long as your downloading non-secured apps on your phone.
1465  Economy / Economics / Re: Did COVID-19 Bring Any Positive Sign? on: June 05, 2020, 10:25:55 PM
The only positive sign of COVID-19 gives is for the restoration of the planet earth but in humanity, it's a disaster. People who see COVID-19 as advantage to grow are the ones who barely struggles in this kind of pandemic. Looking at the side of the poor people, they're the major affected by it. It's obvious that COVID-19 is destroying us like having a reset on the earth.

1466  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to live without banks? on: June 05, 2020, 09:49:01 PM
As long as fiat exist, banks will not be gone as the purpose of it is to store money. Even banks does not exist in the early year but the fact that there are places that stores money, it is still in the same concept.

But if banks are gone, it is possible to live without banks, There are still many people who don't have bank accounts but they are able to save a lot of money.
1467  Economy / Speculation / Re: Continue to Hold your bitcoin on: June 05, 2020, 09:23:06 PM
I'm holding bitcoin with 80% of my investment. And with other 20% I'm trying to play around and make some profit. Also watching the price of bitcoin to fall down. So that I can buy some more Bitcoin in lower price.  Wink
Same, I'm waiting for Bitcoin to drop at 5-8kk USD so I can literally make a huge profit when the new ATH occurs. We can also buy at the mark of 8k USD since bitcoin is trying to resist on the 11k USD mark right now and might occur a bull run.

One of my regrets that I didn't bought bitcoin on the early 2020.
1468  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bakit hindi tinatangkilik ng Pilipinas ang Cryptocurrency on: June 05, 2020, 09:02:26 PM
There are already a lot of countries that accept bitcoin in their land, which is really good for them, they spent a lot of money just to implement it in their country, some countries plant generator in their country for bitcoin mining machine purposes, they spent a huge amount of money on that but that is really worth it because they earn 50,000 Dollars everyday.

So what if we did the same thing, magiging interesado kaya sila?

Meron rin naman iilang platform-based na networking, kung nakakapag-invest sila ng pera without knowing the person behind those project, I guess they have the ability to invest in crypto din.
1469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [DISCUSSION] How to overcome a big loss in gambling? on: June 05, 2020, 08:06:17 PM
On my side, one thing that I do too is making some analysis about the things I made wrong to identify my mistakes and what are the possible thing I could do you make an improvement on my self and win those games again.

In gambling, where the most things depending on your luck, there no much to "analyse".  And this is if we are talking about some games with strategy, like poker. But in such games like "dice", there nothing what you can analyse. Only one moment: that you shouldn't play this game  Cheesy

Exactly, gambling is based on luck. This is not trading or investing to make analysis what did you do and how and what went wrong and what to make different next time.
In order to avoid losses is gambling selfcontrol is needed and control over your funds that you gamble and control over urge to try to recover loss immediately after happened by continuous gambling. In fact it's quite simple if the gambler is disciplined.
Gambling is not only based on luck, but some gambling games do also have strategies to win the game. Even it's a simple strategy like bluffing or counting the probabilities, it can turn the table that will change the current situation of that round. So at some part, analysis to make improvement is a good thing, to review your recent match and avoid those things that make you aggressive and lose the game. Having analyzation on your matches will make you realize what're the dos and don'ts in the game. Even in dice, you can predict the outcome by analyzing the flow of the algorithm, the number of bets, and players because sometimes your mind always take those as a basis to define your next bet.
1470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao Might Fight Golovkin on: June 05, 2020, 07:45:02 PM
Manny Pacquiao and GGG are both nice, humble and great fighters on the boxing scene, it's an interesting match.

I knew that Pacman has the ability to be aggressive on the match but I doubt his stamina will stay much longer in the fight, he's too old and barely practice unlike when he's not a Senator.
Also, based on the size, Pacman is too small and yeah, I know that size isn't just the only factor in boxing, but let see. Still hoping for Pacman to win this match.
1471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Vaccine against Covid-19 should be made before sports events will take place? on: June 05, 2020, 07:33:07 PM
I agree that a working and legal vaccine should be out first before sports event takes place. It will surely take a year or so if researchers are unlucky to find good results but waiting for this will be worth it. Atleast sports organizations and athletes will feel way safer than risking doing events while this pandemic is still on and no working vaccine is out.

They are resuming already sport activities (like Bundesliga etc). it's IMPOSSIBLE wait for a vaccine: it's impossible to know if it can be created and when. They can't lock all activities waiting for an hypothesis. Athletes and Team can be safe even with rapid COVID19 tests.
It's impossible for this year to create a vaccine that's on a pandemic level but I guess it's not safe to implement a sports event that will not make the athletes contact with COVID.

But yes, there are already sports even that already planned to continue like NBA's season with 22 teams.
https://edition.cnn.com/2020/06/03/sport/nba-plan-22-teams-come-back-trnd/index.html
Why it would be "not safe to implement a sports event that will not make the athletes contact with COVID."?  Huh I don't understand what you mean.
You think athletes should be in contact with COVID to be immune? that's your point?
I mean, even though you follow safety precautions to stop COVID, it's really difficult for you to have contact with the other athletes for now. It's impossible to implement sporting events like this that won't have any incidence with COVID-19 cases and as you are subjected to an area that consists of a lot of participants, the risks of contracting the virus are getting higher.

Who would think that having a COVID is a solution for immunity to it? Roll Eyes
1472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] The Best Casino Promotions on: June 05, 2020, 07:01:15 PM
Having bonus money that can be used for bets and free spins is one of the best casino promotions. People are always attracted to bonuses, the more benefits the platform have, many users will go in your platform. Giveaways are rare and sometimes people aren't participating even there are huge prices.

Actually, freebitco.in already done that, they give free spins every 1 hour which gives free BTC that can be also used in bets.

1473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep track of your gambling? how? on: June 05, 2020, 06:37:35 PM
I had to stop it when I noticed that the rate of loosing was kind of much more than the rate of winning, this makes me tense and since there was just a slight change in the record I discarded it because it's not adding to my winning strategy, I think record tracking ain't really important what's important is to know what strategy that is working for you

Perhaps I misunderstood you, but I want to clarify - if you do not record, then how do you understand which strategy works and which doesn't? From the point of view of common sense and mathematics, this can only be seen at some distance.

That is correct, because we like to see ourselves to be consistent with that strategy and that we can use it for long term. We can't just say that when we are gambling now and our strategy works, we will conclude that it's gonna work forever, that's wrong, we need to observed it if it would really bring us some consistent win too.
But what if you're playing on a gambling game that doesn't require strategy?

It will be nonsense for tracking your winning and losses on a game like dice because even you check your recent matches, it won't do anything. Instead of learning something, it'll make you upset knowing that you've already acquired a lot of losses. But I agree that observation on your recent matches will help you if the game was strategical.
1474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The best device for online gambling. on: June 05, 2020, 05:34:36 PM
Well,  many of us have already appreciated the benefits of online gambling whether it be casino or even poker. But what device is better suit for it, mobile or  big screen monitor connected to PC?

I'm feeling awfully uncomfortable being connected  via mobile, even the big mobiles of 6.8-inch screen  are not entirely satisfactory. Therefore I largely at my 32-inch & 4K  monitor when gambling online, primary  the slots machines. And what about you?

Can I ask what's the purpose of 4k in gambling?

I was wondering about it since we can't really enjoy the 4k if we're just browsing a website or an application of online gambling. Also, 32 inches is really a big monitor, what kind of gambling do you play that made you to buy this, I'm curious.

Anyways, I'm enough with a phone, I can't lie down on my bed if I'm playing gambling on my PC.

1476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Choice To Stay Longer Online Or Casinos on: June 05, 2020, 04:53:44 PM
Physical casinos still dominate gambling choices because they enjoy full gambling spaces and things like sexy women and loans.
LOL, this is the reason why people are addicted with gambling, with a chance to borrow money when you lose, that would only aggravate your loses since you will certainly enjoy with the sexy women around you. So, when you are in a casino, just learn to accept loses so you will not chase for your loses, that way you will enjoy and you won't go beyond your limitation.
Absolutely, the casino was made as a business that will literally take all of your money when you go in and they will make all of the things that will benefit you a lot at first. So if you're thinking about your future especially when you don't have enough money and just wanted to try the casino, don't be attracted to those benefits they're giving to you because once you bite it, it'll gonna be hard to lose in.
We have a different opinion here and can't be denied when lockdowns all turn to online gambling.
Not all since there are gamblers who illegally to to casinos which are illegally operating, and not everyone knows how to gamble online.
Private gambling casinos are still operating even there's a quarantine, some of it is owned by the government, and high profile personalities are allowed to play. Rich gamblers don't prefer online gambling, they want the physical, where they can chill and hang out with their rich friends.
1477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble to escape your problem? on: June 05, 2020, 04:26:29 PM
Depending on what problems you face, when it comes to money I don't think it is the right choice because you will be burdened when playing.

I think gambling, also like drinking it's not an escape to anything, just only new problems, like it said in DarkDays's post. If you have a problem in family (for example), the fact that you lost some money in gambling will not help you to resolve it, just will increase number of problems.

So there is not problem where it would help. Maybe only except cases when you're have deadly disease. In this case you can afford yourself to gamble (if you don't want to left money to your relatives)
If gambling is your problem then It's obvious that gambling isn't the solution and will just make your problem worse. But if gambling isn't your problem, it can lessen the struggles you're experiencing because of your problems because we can't change the fact that it is still entertainment.

Like for me, I have a lot of workloads per day especially now that has a quarantine, by playing online games, it lessens the stress I have during weekdays.

1478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What type of gambling do you want? on: June 05, 2020, 02:50:11 PM
I really like table games like poker where the victory depends on your strategic thinking. Poker is one of the mainstream gambling that has a lot of professional gamblers.
It's not about the luckiness of a person, it's also about how you will execute things.

Sometimes sports/eSports bettings are one my type of gambling too, It's easy and you'll just predict who's gonna win at the tournament.
I don't know why so many people choose dice. This market is so saturated with dice that it's going to be very hard for a new dice casino to suceed.

What you need now is something new. A pvp game maybe, something else that can be played live, board games, simple skill based video games.
You all say dice but if a new dice site comes online you'll still be where you are now.
It's an easy game, the mechanics aren't complex, so expect that the simple but thrilling game will be chosen by most of the gamblers.
1479  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency can not replace fiat currency. on: June 04, 2020, 11:50:14 PM
As long as the cryptocurrency remains volatile, it will not have a chance to displace the national currency, including fiat, from circulation. But given that the cryptocurrency exchange rate cannot be stable, we can assume that such a replacement will never happen.

Exactly. Crypto is only useful as a store of value than anything else. That's largely because of its wild fluctuations in price on the market. As long as it stays that way, Fiat will continue to dominate the world's economy. It's no wonder why many merchants and businesses accept Fiat instead of crypto. I believe that the only way to truly grasp the benefits of crypto, is by relying on it as a unit of account. Getting paid or spending in crypto directly instead of Fiat, will greatly contribute towards the crypto economy. Only then, crypto can be used the same way as Fiat currencies today.

Despite all the hype surrounding crypto, it may never turn out to replace Fiat in the long term. Aside from price volatility, crypto is decentralized whereas Fiat is not. The latter is largely patronized by central banks and governments, giving people a sense of "confidence" when using it. Since no one controls crypto, it's a completely different story. The average person will find crypto unattractive as it's not supported by a trusted entity (unlike Fiat). It's the reason why we see so many people believe crypto to be a "scam", when in fact, it is not. This, alongside other issues, will make both crypto and Fiat head their separate ways for the foreseeable future. Expect to see everything remain the same, after the introduction of CBDCs. People will either choose crypto or digital Fiat for mainstream transactions, the same way they're doing right now. Just my thoughts Grin
Agree, it's hard to trust a currency that has no stable market, people will still choose fiat over crypto. It will be hard for them especially business owners to have a currency that can change their income due to changes in the crypto market. Obviously, those who have a simple business and normal people, they will stick to the traditional way since they don't have the ability to adapt that will not affect them when a drop or growth in the market happens.
1480  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and COVID on: June 04, 2020, 11:12:34 PM
Many more people need to think of Bitcoin as a safe haven for the next big rise. But Bitcoin can't help with the economic problems we face today, everything stopped, people need to find a way to start all over again, but where to find the money for that!? Just people who invested in Bitcoin earlier have benefits now, that should be a good lesson for all new investors.
Bitcoin can help us individually. Maybe you're thinking about bitcoin lifting up the whole world's economy, it's not like that. Some people who also invested in bitcoin have no choice but to exchange it in fiat because of the short in cash.
It can be the reality but if you are on the other side and you managed to keep your bitcoins and never sold, you can say that you are doing well.
Like what he said, those who invested early are the ones who will be able to benefit and convert into huge cash.

But if you just recently invested in bitcoin because of the bitcoin halving, it's kinda useless and won't help you during the pandemic.
