2461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This Will Be the Year for Privacy Tokens Mark My Words Says, John Mcafee on: July 16, 2019, 03:58:02 PM
With the words of fierce crackdown and regulations on crypto, it's easy to predict the move towards privacy focused cryptos which would again increase the problem which the authorities wants to avoid. So, it would be better for everyone to develop a crypto based economy where everyone would have their place.
2462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: US Government vs. Facebook Libra on: July 16, 2019, 01:12:04 PM
Facebook can't afford to lose US market while the US won't lose Facebook. They would come into agreement of issuing the coin and making Facebook and its currency the universal spying tool for the US government the same way Facebook has been doing in the past.
2463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fact about Cryptos on: July 16, 2019, 12:48:24 PM
The US can control the exchanges on the US, also they will probably ask for proof of transactions if you want to cash out. And if you bought a token/coin that's against US regulations being a US citizen you could probably have problems too.

Thing is a big part of crypto is trading, and going from fiat to crypto and crypto to fiat, and they can definitely control that.

A government is always conservative and it wouldn't want to change the way it runs. This has been seen in the history.
A mass moment is what needs to make government fall in line with the demand of time. The government needs some pressure to make a change, not necessarily a protest. Facebook's announcement of Libra is an effective start of the mass moment.
2464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2019 betting [ODDS UPDATED] on: July 16, 2019, 10:14:52 AM
Who thinks race or color will play a factor in the selection of the BBC SPOTY 2019? I mean, you know, Asher Smith and Sterling are both of color. Do you think these sports figures will have less chance?

Of course they will. I don't mean to sound racist or blame anyone but when it comes to voting, women and color has always been in disadvantage. Specially women. There could be some exception but this is generally true for almost all awards decided by vote.
2465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik Buterin proposes Ethereum use Bitcoincash blockchain for transactions on: July 16, 2019, 05:22:44 AM
People may have different reasonings in favor or oppose but IMO anything is better than just waiting for Ethereum 2 for a year or two. It would be beneficial to both of these coins as they are not the competitor of one another.
2466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Cup Of Nations 2019 - Discussion Thread on: July 15, 2019, 06:23:43 PM
The title is for Senegal this time to be honest, I just can’t see Algeria winning although it would be a nice story if they did as they are under dogs & have been all tournament.

It would be the first time for Senegal if hey won the Africa Cup of Nations this time while Algeria had already won it once.
Senegal surely is in a better form to do that. Algeria has struggled all the way through and the semis too were a close call.
Senegal would be the favorite for many, yet I wouldn't rule out the chance of Algeria. It's going to be a competitive finals.
2467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Variation of Prices in Price Charts on: July 15, 2019, 06:19:24 PM
Why are the prices of the same cryptocurrencies on different sites different? They are very near but not exactly the same.

Every exchange is a different market. If you even view the real world market, prices for goods would be a bit different on each.
Transaction fees, withdrawal fees, etc keeps the small margin difference. But when it increases significantly, it's balance by arbitrage trading.
2468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP: Great investment or Bankrupt company? on: July 15, 2019, 06:17:19 PM
XRP is the token that has already missed it's shot. There were too much promises delivered but very few actions and even fewer results.
The development of the token and it's economics is nearly on halt. There are some small endorsements and experimentation but none has yielded anything for the use of the token or its price.
2469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best platform in the crypto industry? ERC20 or Other? on: July 15, 2019, 06:14:31 PM
ERC 20 is undoubtedly the leader on token platforms. It has the most extensive documentations and a large trained workforce. If you love some learning curve, EOS and Tron's platform for token issuance are too getting popular these days. NEM and Stellar are other popular options.
2470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't complain for too long. on: July 15, 2019, 06:12:27 PM
Good evening everyone, I want to share a little bit of saturation but also want to share the spirit in the current market conditions (Altcoin Prices). When you decide to trade, you must set aside a lot of time to monitor price movements. Actually not only choose the time to buy or sell, but there must be a growing spirit of self. Don't focus too much on conditions, but we need refreshment of mind to make a new strategy. I am optimistic that the altcoin price will grow well, maybe later this year. Do you think so now? Thank you,

Alternatively, you could make a common strategy for every coin, work with mathematical points to place buy orders and sell orders and let the orders work even though you sleep. Manual observations and checks are still necessary but you can't just do only that. Research and update about the coins are necessary to predict sudden price movements.
2471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Centralized exchanges vs Decentralized exchanges on: July 15, 2019, 06:08:13 PM
Centralized exchange excels in so many things that normal users and day traders don't require or don't want to trade on dex.
The fees are complex and larger on dex, the trading slower, a learning curve mostly different for different dex.
More exchange based features like IEO, Margin trading makes cex more popular and best of all cex is also a multicurrency wallet.
2472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin's future. on: July 15, 2019, 06:00:57 PM
The more new coins that are present in the crypto market, will certainly enliven the crypto world. My question is how do you look at the future of the altcoin, with fairly tight competition. Will it affect the price of old altcoins, such as Ethereum, XRP and others.

Tight competition would surely affect the price of old altcoins. The market for altcoins is huge but not every altcoins are scalable to that level and not every of them would succeed. The newer and technologically advanced and more competitive one would prosper while the ones that lags in development would go obsolete.
2473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We can't blame crypto and blockchain technology on: July 15, 2019, 03:24:14 PM
Every tools that was invented or will be invent in the future will be used wrongly, the point people are not getting is every successful invention can be used to do bad things, stop saying cryptocurrency scam is increasing and leaving banks hacks & scams out of it,cell phones & smartphones was build for humans to make communication easier for us but still scammers are using the tech to do terrible things like terrorist attacks, online romance scams etc,my point is no matter how good an  invention is bad people will use it for their own benefits.

Yes. Every tool can be used in good or a bad way. But we are always improving on ourselves. And we sometimes have to compromise in order to get things in order. The friction between local governments and cryptocurrencies cannot continue indefinitely so we need to come to a mutually agreeable point.
2474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: July 15, 2019, 02:19:01 PM
~snip~
I too don't like that rule but you can't say England is not a clear winner. These things are part of the game and should improve these rules for future matches.
These rules are not accepted, however England won the Match. No doubt that it was the most glorious match that I've ever seen. We will wait for the next world cup and hopefully will be modified these weird types of rules.

There's a set of rules that define how the winner would be decided. And the rules were made even before the start of the tournament.
And as of fair, number of boundaries is a much more better criteria for announcing the winner rather than a coin toss.
2475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchange asking to Login thru Facebook on: July 15, 2019, 12:56:28 PM
I guess soon we'll have no options. Either be fully regulated or be labelled a criminal. The coins that satisfies the interest of authorities would be tradeable and the one don't would be considered illegal. Soon they'll make KYC a compulsion for trade on any platform.
2476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 14, 2019, 07:39:42 PM
That was the longest finals I've ever seen. The two of the legends never looked tired playing for hours. A total entertainment. As thrilling as the English cricket final match with New Zealand.
But what was the counting after they reached 11 all. Shouldn't it be a 2 point difference to win the tie breaker.
2477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: July 14, 2019, 07:32:44 PM
OMG! It's time for super over!

Bad luck NZ. The scores still remain same in Super over too and England is the winner.
Just before the super over, NZ could have won it in the match if that bowl was not gone to boundary on the throw by hitting the bat.

Yeah, the New Zealanders will see that four of over-throw in their nightmare for the next few weeks. Very bad luck indeed. Just before this match, New Zealand was pretty much the luckiest team of the world cup, but now it seems like their luck paid off the debt.

Anyways, this was probably the best world cup final ever.

First world cup for England and the one worth remembering for centuries. They were unlucky for these all years being a strong team in almost all of the worldcups but never wining one. They were certainly the better team but luck was swinging from one team to other in the whole match. And at last it was in favor of England.
2478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Alternative to Coinbase? on: July 13, 2019, 05:07:15 PM
So, Binance bans all US users, I'm in the US, is there a more anonymous yet reliable exchange to use that is similar to coinbase? If so please let me know.

Try kraken, they are quite popular to buy and sell bitcoins.
If you  are looking to exchange wide range of crypto, try Kucoin, I think they are still letting US users trade without restriction.
Binance also lets you trade some of the alts as not all of them are excluded. And for the ones excluded, you can use fixedfloat or similar instant exchanges.
2479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Horse racing books on: July 13, 2019, 04:12:21 PM
I haven't come across any gambling sites providing access for horse racing other than directbet which isn't available anymore for our betting needs. Looking at the image it is clear about horse racing to be one among the top support provided game of directbet. Other than this there might be gambling sites for horse racing which won't be accepting cryptocurrencies.

This image gives me nostalgia.
The GUI was too simple and perfect to navigate and bet. Everything was self explanatory and no unnecessary animations to slow down the process. bet deposit and win.
I know it's not as possible now as the transaction fees and time has rose, but still there are no gambling sites as quick and easy to navigate as directbet.eu
2480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most new ICO/IEO projects are new crypto trading platforms on: July 13, 2019, 04:09:06 PM
While I was scanning through the bounty board section to find a good ICO/IEO to participate and earn a few bucks, I noticed most of these projects are creating/building cryptocurrency exchange. That means it will be a trading platform. All of them promising to be the best exchange ever. All of them showing that none of the present exchange has features like them, what they will bring once successfully raise funds.

Well, do you think exchange like Binance, Huobi, Bitmex can't satisfy users? Do you think, the crypto world needs these new trading platforms?

Your concern is valid. The crypto exchange field is nearly saturated and there's many exchanges with negligible volume as 90% of volume goes through the top 10 exchanges.
All of these simple crypto exchange and their tokens won't make any difference unless they come's up with backing from large enterprise or local governments.
