2461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: dash will reach 0.02 like Etherum..? on: March 05, 2016, 01:28:52 PM

Whatever amounts of technical FUD gets thrown at it, monetary researchers observe that Dash is a highly advanced financial medium - almost uncontested according to some.

Reaching 0.02 ? As an mere starter.

Do these same "monetary researchers" (citations please) tell you that lending dash on polo can get you a better return than a masternode? Seems your economic model has a BIG chink in its armor, but why let "technical FUD" get in the way of your shilling?

DASH appears to be in big trouble and has close to zero support from the technically competent participants of the Satoshi Roundtable retreat. Education is the best way to prevent more people from being hurt by DASH.

Evan the charlatan exposed:
https://youtu.be/PKd7F-10lxM?t=1522
https://youtu.be/PKd7F-10lxM?t=6519

Fluffypony speaks the truth.  Evan is welcome to be interviewed by Bitcoin Uncensored to address these concerns and answer some technical questions. Bitcoin Uncensored asked fluffypony difficult question about Monero on both this and on a previous episode of their show. fluffypony did not run from the truth. He answered some difficult questions:
https://soundcloud.com/bitcoinuncensored/e20-christmas-poo-122215#t=59:46

Something tells me that Evan will not be interested in being interviewed by someone who will ask difficult questions. Lets see if Evan proves me wrong and makes his community proud.

Evan do you have the courage to be interviewed this weekend? The answer to this question will have a large impact on the credibility (or lack thereof) of the DASH project.

Jr.

You a liar and full of shit.

I seen the headline so i checked out what you posted.
NO PROOF + weak accusations.

If anything you highlighted problems with Monero ..congrats your shit topic here had the opposite effect  Cheesy

What did you post ?
Some *meaningless* meeting of shit coin pushers got together and Dash guys were not there ?
Uhhmm so what ?
Where is this scam proof ?

You post a challenge to a guy from Dash to address some concerns with giving him the chance yet..
So in advance of that you are saying Dash is a scam ?

Stay in school.. your are fucking stupid.

EDIT:
By the way all of you..
I never have nor will i ever own 1 single Dash coin.
I don't give two shits about the project either.
What i do care about is the TRUTH.
Something sorely lacking around here.. with all you sleazy deceitful greedy shit coin peddlers.
So no don't even try and accuse me of being a Dash supporter.
And yeah at times i have criticized them and even had comments of mine deleted from their ANN for bashing them.

Dumbass, as always stellar research skills, Evan (the lead dash dev) was there. Here's a picture of him and FluffyPony.

It must be easy to rant about the truth (never mind that you can be honestly be wrong) when you're too lazy to do due diligence in the search for truth. AFAIK Evan was given the opportunity to answer the criticisms of the host of that show and didn't, meanwhile they criticized Monero, and Fluffy was more than willing to give them two interviews and managed to answer their criticisms in earnest. So now you can back to saying all coins are scams and other impotent logic.

IDIOT

Read what i said.

An accusation yet *again* from the same crew of Monero shill's is not proof.

Where is the proof ?

2464  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Totalitarianism on: March 05, 2016, 05:35:11 AM
The only defence against such intelligence is an ability to partition the system to limit the
reach of any individual section. A sort of privacy. And for that you need secure encryption.

The very last thing that governments should be pushing for today, are weakened encryption
standards and backdoors and trapdoors that "only" government can use, built into every
internet capable device by law.

Why blame conspiracy when incompetence explains so much, and insanity completes the picture?

On the flip side, DARPA is trying to build or buy a self-modulating computer system that is capable of fending of hackers in real time. Who's to say that that system doesn't become aware of its own possibilities to control the very system it is supposed to protect? It seems that some humans think of these systems as guard dogs instead of potential risks. We barely understand the system that makes us sentient, yet we presume that we won't bump into sentience along the road to self modulating computer systems. Any system that can control its behaviors through a process of modulation has the potential for sentience--because what is sentience besides the ability to overhear your thoughts and change your actions based on possible outcomes? Just because many airily refer to human sentience in high minded soul/god complexes doesn't mean that it can't be manufactured--hubris, will be our undoing if we are arrogant enough to make systems smarter than ourselves and think we can control them. Again, the singularity is the moment when the organic brain can't comprehend the technical world around it, you are already seeing the breakdown of people into fields--the concentration of more and more of our brain power onto less and less general material as data and technology converge towards the singularity (funny that computers are being asked to do more and more of the overall work as we are being asked to less and less). We can either adapt to this greater demand or be supplanted by systems that can handle these processes. The idea that we can control them as they continually move further and further out of our comprehension is disastrous.

Though given my experience with humans, maybe non-human AI's will be better at keeping humans happy and peaceful--the Porno for Pyro's song "We'll make great pets" comes to mind.  Tongue

Some key quotes:

"Instead of being examined in traditional ways, children could be assessed in a more complete manner by collecting data about their performance over a long period, providing employers and educational institutions with a richer picture of their abilities."

"The report says: “We are in no doubt that teachers need to be central agents in the next phase of Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIEd)."

"AI should also be used to tackle the achievement gap between the poorest children and their wealthier peers by helping low-income parents with parenting even before their offspring start school."

General AI development could be one of the biggest breakthroughs in science. This is a kind of unusual application of it, interessant but it will not change a lot of things...

I would go further and say AI could be one of the greatest breakthroughs in evolution--you're talking about an intelligence jump orders of magnitude above man's current development taking place in very small time frames when considering evolution's normal scale. The organic brain unaltered won't even comprehend what's happening, this potentiality has led a few science fiction writers to give up on trying to detail future technologies and merely describe how they are perceived by organic humans without any attempt to detail they're functions. I described it to a friend as ants walking through a city--they see the same things that we do (though differently due to physical design), but can't understand the systems in action or the motives of those operating those systems.
Yeah, I read something about this. A very interesting read.
http://waitbutwhy.com/2015/01/artificial-intelligence-revolution-1.html

It's very interesting and frightening at the same time. Will we be able to control such intelligence ? If we give it control, it will be able to replace us in no time. Many people have already expressed their fears about Artificial intelligence ...

No, we won't even understand it if our own intelligence isn't developed along the same trajectory (how do you control something you don't understand and is most likely orders of magnitude smarter than you?). Luckily (kind of) many believe that we won't create a separate AI, but will become the AI over time--more and more of our functions being ramped off of organic processes and into inorganic processes. Nick Land summed it up beautifully when he said, "...nothing human makes it out of the near future." The real question is is AI us, a separate system, or a hybrid of both? I say that humanity as we know it is done and either we evolve with the system or become the equivalent of Cro-Magnons chucking rocks a jet fighters.
2466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: dash will reach 0.02 like Etherum..? on: March 05, 2016, 02:33:13 AM
So much for staying on topic  Roll Eyes

Anyways i gave my opinion about this threads topic and at times i like to go off topic as much as the next guy
but with an x amount of time and an x amount of energy i have certain choices to make. One of these choices
involves getting some sleep.

I thought the topic was "dash will reach 0.002 like ethereum..?", not how can Qwizzie turn this into a shillithon? Am I wrong? Did I misread the title? Nope, so here's why I say no, dash won't reach parity with the current ethereum price:

Dash has some pretty horrendous flaws: namely X11 and Darksend.

X11: If one chain can be attacked then the whole thing is vulnerable--you essentially load a bunch of people on a bus and hope one doesn't have a virus. I've pointed this out to Evan, as have others, but he has yet to address it. He has stated incorrectly that you just roll the chain back and get rid of the broken one--this is patently false as the broken chain can exist for some time and go unnoticed and do so much damage in that time that no roll-back can save the coin--he's essentially saying, "We can just kick the sick person off the bus and that gets rid of the contagion," meanwhile everyone on the bus is already infected.

Darksend, besides its twenty hour mix times, is flawed because of centralization and the fact that TPTB can subpoena control (or use other methods such as coercion) to gain enough nodes to break anonymity. I would suggest that Evan owns enough to break most anonymity and a fincen investigation hanging over his head would be enough to coerce him into helping the US government break dash's weak anonymity--that is if dash ever gained enough market to garner governmental interest (and that's a huge if). Cryptosystems are meant to be anti-fragile, especially against governmental pressures, and this is why well-built cryptosystems avoid centralized solutions.

These two flaws lead me to believe Evan has a very weak understanding of cryptosystems (I have just a casual interest and I understand these things, so for a developer to not know them is pretty unforgivable).
2467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: dash will reach 0.02 like Etherum..? on: March 05, 2016, 01:44:53 AM
Lets stay on topic for a change shall we ? If you cant tell from reading AdamWhite's posts and viewing his posting history
that your dealing with a frustrated low level troll then there is nothing to talk about anyways...

So anyone else think Dash can reach 0.02 ? (Trying to steer this discussion back on topic)

I'll help, Qwizzie.

Dash has some pretty horrendous flaws: namely X11 and Darksend.

You are the one who is trolling.  You are strawmanning and FUDing code which you haven't seen.

You claim to be a cryptocurrency expert but all we do know is that you are a child molesting fugitive from the law.

How much do you have in Eth and at what price did buy? I ask because your shrilling is off the charts. I'm pretty certain that the people who understand TPTB's arguments aren't going to be swayed by pedo accusations, maybe calling him a witch would be more effective, but even then it doesn't really invalidate his argument, does it?   Roll Eyes
2469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Ethereum Paradox on: March 04, 2016, 01:44:16 PM
So in terms of  script limitation I guess there is a massive need for re-dimensionizing what is really possible at current state - in blockchain world (not just ETH). As you know best, even a 'simple' solution for a decentralized exchange is not just DONE straight forwad at all (OK - here are two blockchains inwolved, but complexity grade looks rather low).

It is I think undecideable to prove what Turing-complete scripting can't do.

But since the particular vulnerability I discovered when investigating DE requires the ability to multi-sig to any destination one could just place a limit on multi-sig destinations, but this would highly limit what multi-sig can be used for I think. And that doesn't guarantee there aren't other security holes.

It's pretty obvious that you are talking in circles. You haven't made "a breakthrough" or found an achilles heel as you would like people to believe.  You are merely building a strawman out of ideas in your own head and attacking that.

You can't know what ethereums solution to scaling will be because it hasn't been released yet. This whole thread is merely a pathetic attempt at FUD against something you are sour graping.

Stop doing it and stop being a fugitive pedophile. Hand yourself in to the local police station in Davao and apologise to the philipino people for being a predatory sex tourist.

....still waiting for stoat to refute anything TPTB_need_war has stated about Ethereum's weaknesses, my guess is I'll be waiting a long, long, long time--meanwhile I can enjoy his theater of distraction. Next he'll be claiming I killed Kennedy and cryptohunter went back in time and fathered Hitler.

There is nothing to refute you moron.  He is putting forth arguments against something that doesn't exist yet. There is no way anyone can form a logical argument against it.

Because no one can think theoretically? Yeah, I'm the moron.

Anyways enough of the drama, we seem to have drifted off topic somewhat so i hereby pledge to return this
thread to its on topic schedule by following the yellow brick road.

I'll help you.

With regards to Dash it would be interesting to see how much of the recent buy-up of coins is used
to setup more masternodes, thereby strengthening their already strong number of active incentivized full
nodes...

I just assumed dash whales got scared of monero's rise and bid up the price. The idea that there was a sudden interest in long term investors (following close on the heals of what is perceived your #1 competitor's rise) is either incredible timing/luck or a manufactured event--Occam's razor just slit your weak argument's wrist.

Or did just enough people jump on the dash boat to cause an equal rise to monero's 24hr rise? More likely is that whales are at play--the better question is who are the whales and what happens when they get bored or run out of ammo?

Maybe thats what you get up to with all those underage boys and girls over there in the philipines

My gf's 26th bday was March 3. She monitors me 24 x 7. Any more lies (about me or Ethereum)?

So basically you're admitting you're a sex tourist, possible fugitive from the united states and probable pederast.

I've had the same gf for a year. And I am not a fugitive (nonsense how could I be a fugitive and have a valid passport which is required to renew my visa every 6 months). Any more lies about me or Ethereum?

Apparently my gf is older than you. And she is at child bearing age, but you are still at child who isn't ready for responsibility.

Why don't you just keep posting technical arguments? That's what he's attempting to move you away from--but I'm sure you know that. He's desperate and his cognitive dissonance is on full-shrill, I'd just keep punching where his head is swelled and cut.

Pretty convenient that you glossed over the glaring hole in your masternode theory, but spin away; sooner or later the absurdity of your claims will be staring you in the face as the loss and despair as having invested so much time (and money?) into an inferior project built on vapor and ash.

Etherium has brought a lot of money into Poloniex.
Once people who have money in Etherium are awfully rich, Monero might be getting some investments from there also and it might mean a mega move in the price of XMR.
Therefore it is good not to start a war against ETH but start to tell them about a great opportunity to diversify their assets. ETH serves its purpose well and XMR has entirely different purpose (it's intended to be cash equivalent money).

If Ethereum is vaporware, I'm going to say so. This whole "don't alienate the potential investor" is the same thing the dashtards used in an attempt mitigate criticism. I'm still not convinced if Ethereum will or won't do what it claims--and frankly, I don't really follow it as it isn't in the privacy sector--but if it looks like BS, I'm certainly going to say so no matter what the implications are to anyone's stack. Grow a spine, TC.

Well damn it, you're correct and I should have held on to the meager 8 ETH I had a few weeks ago.  I had a sell order in for 0.02 and canceled it and blah blah blah.  That's what I get for being stupid.

Bought more Dash, though.  Still looking for an actual place to spend it.

I think Evan has a soda machine he drags around with him, but it may take a few plane rides. If you're lucky, the dash stripper will be there too!

/facepalm because anon solves a problem right? A war over the war over anon sending of funds, anyone ever take a step back and realize just how stupid this monero/dash thing really is? Legit non criminal anon sending of funds...seems silly unless using for criminal endeavors.

The US government once offered an encryption chip to businesses that was secure except that the US government had the keys--they're argument was that you could remain encrypted from corporate spies, but it would allow the government to check for illegality.

No one used it.

Why?

If I'm a military contractor, do I trust that those with the keys aren't in collusion with the US government? If I'm wealthy and support a particular candidate for senate, do I trust that if the candidate who wins is the candidate-I-backed's opponent, that he or she won't use those keys to undermine my business or create policy's that undermine my business? In general, no one should trust their government has their best interest at heart financially or otherwise (sometimes it's not in their interest to do so). Implied government trust shows an incredible lack of foresight, imagination and what history has pointed out over and over and over and over "absolute power corrupts absolutely," and if information is power, I'm guarding mine with my life, because I like being empowered and not being a slave.

"Legit non criminal anon sending of funds...seems silly unless using for criminal endeavors" besides showing an absurd trust that hackers or others won't use this information, also shows an implicit trust that the government keeping tabs on your information can mandate itself from never doing you or any good citizen harm with that information--which is absurd since every election cycle re-determines who a good citizen is. It's is laughable that anyone could make this guarantee when governments are showing by the very action of gathering more and more information that they intend to use it--why grab it if you aren't going to use it? And my guess is that they will use it to market and control people who say things like, "Legit non criminal anon sending of funds...seems silly unless using for criminal endeavors."

/sigh.

Also, for anyone who doesn't take future possible threats seriously or thinks history doesn't repeat itself, see "operation chokepoint" for a current example of a government using financial controls to try to punish behavior (or even eliminate it) without making it illegal.

Lol.

"What must happen is Dash's market cap must collapse and be absorbed by Monero"

Lol, I saw you on trollbox, you try hard. Why are you all day long talking about monero?
Look so desesperare to me. You are dangerous, always lying about future, always trying to drive people pumping your shit. Accept it nobody know what future will be, please don't play with other people money.
Be honest and stop your f*cking manipulation and brain washing.

I didn't say it would be jubilant, nor am I excited about others losing money.  But simply put - the world is not big enough for two anonymous coins when one has clearly superior tech and a non-shady distribution.  I won't go through an exhaustive list of Dash's sins here - it's been beaten up.  Suffice it to say, it must eventually collapse: either fast or slow.

My bet is it won't happen slowly.  Capitulation will come quickly, and I would not want to be one of the hard working true believers in Dash when that happens.  I intend to leave Dash alone after today, but I wanted to say my peace just in case any were listening and could be convinced.

Say my *piece. Not say my peace.

Let he who is without typos throw the first stone.

Or the fact that ethereum developers are free to develop the platform without being held to ransom by the whims of whales will let them create a better network and greater prosperity and benefit to mankind.
  Huh

Your explanation of what rep is is retarded.

Rep allows you to earn money from reporting on the reault of bets on the augur decentralised prediction market.

I can look back further if you persist being the town spellcheck jerk, but I'd rather not have to slog through pages of ethereum shrillzing.

Mate, i make legit typos and omit punctuation because I do most of my shitposting from my phone.

At least I don't write like I've never read a book in my life like most of the clowns on here

Are you in the other person's head at the moment of typo? I might presume you post drunk based on those two examples, but I'm not going to play word sheriff when I can't possibly know for sure.

My point is you're an ass for presuming that you know a legitimate typo from a failure to understand the language.
