2461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: October 06, 2022, 08:27:34 AM
This fight will finally be happening in two days. Martinez is now the favorite with odds of 1.34. It's understandable because this is a rematch and Martinez convincingly won the first match through a UD even though he was the underdog at that time. He remains undefeated, but Ancajas has actually what he needs in his arsenal to defeat Martinez. He probably just needs a little adjustment, throw more solid punches, be more accurate, improve his movements, and he could defeat Martinez. The team of Ancajas should not allow the repeat of the first match in which Ancajas was more like schooled.

I saw the first and I was shocked to see how good Martinez is he can take punches he likes to move forward and engage and in their last fight Martinez threw everything but the kitchen sink, Ancajas should not let Martinez move forward he must make Martinez respect his punches,  he should move a lot, in their last fight Martinez is the aggressor and able to connect many of his punches, he will likely do the same strategy moving forward, throw everything, Ancajas should be ready to counter punches.
My heart goes to Ancajas but based on what I've seen in their last fight Martinez is the better boxer between the two.

And it seems that Ancajas change his style in his fight and it doesn't look good to him. He is also a aggressor, but for some strange reason, he chooses to fight as a counter puncher resulting in Martinez dominating him.

So I'm not expecting him to be like that in this rematch, he should really go out very hard in the early rounds and bring the fight to Martinez and not the other way around. He should throw everything and see how Martinez will react.
2462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The irony of leaving your private keys in a bank on: October 05, 2022, 04:16:27 AM
Does anyone use a bank safe service to leave your trezor or whatever you use in there? I have been considering which would be the ways in which one could leave physical backups somewhere else than your own home. If you don't trust anyone to do a good job in keeping the device safe, the only way I see is that you either own 2 homes, which I don't, or that you hire a service in a bank where you can leave the stuff in there. Im assuming there's good security, and no one could realistically get in there, at least in any developed country. The only way would be that an employee is dumb enough to attempt a heist from inside but that's also unlikely.

Could you explain your experience doing this and what to considering when hiring such a service?

Yeah, it's ironic that if we decided to leave our hardware wallet like Trezor for safe keeping in their safety deposit box because we can't leave it at home as there are a lot of bad things that can happen like fire etc.

But I would say that you can also invest in steel armored plate? You can read a comparison in here by @OcTradism

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5278839.0

Or maybe you can buy your own safety deposit box and put in at home, but you have to choose the good one.
2463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It An Easy Transition From Gamer To Gambler In Casino. on: October 05, 2022, 03:21:54 AM
For me it's just the same, if you play games and you have the competitiveness in you then when you play or gamble, you will almost wanted to win. Of course, the difference is that most probably gamers doesn't involved money, there are are also a lot games right now that is being played online and there are bets if I'm not mistaken. So there is an easy transition, just a question whether what will they choose, stick to gaming or just go and play online games and go with big money.
2464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: October 05, 2022, 02:46:04 AM
I miss the days when there were also world title fights in the undercards. Legendary Manny Pacquiao for instance used to defend his title while on the undercards like during the Lewis-Tyson fight. Glorious days for boxing. Now it's all about playing safe and money.

Boxers these days are moving like they were the promoters or organizers rather than boxers, they are too attached and more interested to know the money business instead of focusing in making their own legacy to be known in the industry just like the good old days. Probably the reason why almost all known boxers in the industry had built their own promotional company after their professional years.
I guess the boxers really wanted to know how much they are making and probably wanted to know if their promoters are really paying them for how much they worth.

We all know that in the past, boxers like Floyd decided to be their own manager and challenge Bob Arum that time because he wanted more. And so he is partly to blame for boxers now becoming businessman and wanted to know the business side of boxing, instead of just focusing on the fight itself.

We can understand that boxers nowadays would like to level up on the earnings of the promoter, they seemed to think that they are the one investing money to make the right happen, I'd say it's a wrong attitude, that's being greedy, but then, I could be wrong though, just stating my personal opinion.

I think at some point they have every right to know how much they are making plus what is the manager or the promotions cut. And that is why they demand so much money now because of that. so I would say that it is the right attitude. The problem is that if they ask for too much money when obviously it can't be given by the manager/promotion. And that will stall the fight because they don't want because they think they are underpaid. And the next thing you know he doesn't want to work with that promotion already and asking to be separated like what Floyd did to Bob Arum or even Oscar or Canelo already against Golden Boy.

Obviously, they know what they are getting before they sign on the dotted contract. The problem is that as boxers became more vocal and go the public and complain about everything, the issue has balloon into boxer vs promoter. Anyhow, we haven't heard anything from both sides, they have agreed to it already and definitely Lomachenko is the A-side of it. And he is fine with Bob Arum and Top Rank and how they handle his career so far. Getting a chance to fight for the belt in his second or third fight. And as far as betting options, Loma will be a huge favorite and I believed that we will see a impressive performance against Ortiz.
2465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Table tennis is the best sport gambling! (My strategy of winning) on: October 05, 2022, 02:03:30 AM
Not to burst your bubble but you can't be so sure on the succeeding days you gamble if you're still just bet this day. Your strategy seems to not for the long term though, got the same thing on my sports betting experience and most of the time it fails. You're just lucky for today I guess, once again, a newbie winning for just its first time in his first day seems not right.

Yes, part of it seems to be luck, the teams doesn't want to lose to any low rank teams so they have to perform very well against the public eye and win their games.

But as others have pointed out, there are league that really pull a lot of surprised results and it could be rigged because is it not professional and anything can happen. And if you smell something fishy between those two teams, then you can bet on the underdog and see how it goes. If they win they good for you. And that is why is it also not advisable to bet on such league because of it's very unpredictable.
2466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 05, 2022, 01:46:05 AM
Oh. What happened there? Alcaraz was eliminated in the first round in the ATP tournament in Kazakhstan. He lost against Belgian Goffin in 2 sets. His opponent in the final in the US Open, Ruud, was also eliminated in the first round in the ATP tournament in Tokyo. He also lost in 2 sets.

Probably just a lapse of focus or concentration. It is a good win of Goffin but Alcaraz just was not good enough today. It is still 3 months to the next grand slam so there is nothing to worry about it. In these kind of tournaments you will always have some surprises in the early rounds.
More surprise have been happening with the players in all levels. Whether it is the top position player or someone at the bottom, it is possible to see unexpected outcomes. It looks like going against the odds would bring good profit. Even the betting platforms have predicted Alcaraz to be the winner having the lower odds.

Yes, but top seed tends to perform better and not to get upset, but this is the second time that Alcaraz have been eliminated like this.

First, is when we become the number 1 seed, the first game he played he lost.

And now this time, but I have to check though, maybe he is injured or something or just lost (again) his mental focus. if this will be frequent though then most likely he will not stop as number 1 for a long time like the big 3 before him.
2467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 02, 2022, 12:30:14 AM
Casper Ruud was upset in the Korea Open by Japan’s Yoshihito Nishioka. Ruud who recently become the second seed, will lost that spot next week to Nadal as a result of this lost.

First time since I can remember that the #1 and #2 will be of the same nation, Spain,

And so with that win, Nishioka will either face Mackenzie McDonald or Aleksandar Kovacevic next.
2468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anderson Silva vs Jake paul who you bet on? on: October 01, 2022, 09:52:03 PM
Just sharing the opinion of Wilder's former coach - Malik Scott.

Quote
Silva’s being brought in, he’s got a great name. He’s a great fighter. But I believe Jake Paul has also become a good fighter as well. Is he a world beater? Absolutely not. But is he an influencer fighter? Not to me no more. I’m not going to keep saying it because he’s actually looking better than some boxers.

https://www.boxingscene.com/wilder-coach-gives-jake-paul-edge-over-silva-hes-become-good-fighter--169364

Interesting point of view by a boxing trainer here, not just because he thinks that Jake has a chance to win against Silva, but his take that he is good in boxing per se, as he has a massive follower and perhaps he thinks that those fans are into boxing right now.

Malik Scott has a point, Jake Paul has improved well but we are just used to see him as a boxer who's just fighting washed out boxers and fighters from MMA to maintain his advantage and keeps on getting his pocket full. That is not the case to me anymore, time will come that he will be a bonafide boxer to the people's eye. That bout against Rahman Jr. is his chance to show that he's not the old Jake Paul anymore but Rahman Jr. avoided him that's why he is not facing a veteran fighter again namely Anderson Silva.

Yes, the Rahman fight might be a good gauge, but who knows, it might be just a setup as well and Paul will win that fight. But now, he will be tested against another former MMA, but this time, it has a good stand up game and could really box and should be the closest to a boxer with a good caliber that Jake Paul will face (without getting the fight rig). So we will have to see how Jake Paul can mesh with Anderson's style and he can break him apart and if he has power in both hands. Might be interesting for some fight fans that they want to see this fight.
2469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When Bottom? on: October 01, 2022, 01:11:21 PM
When Bottom? $17.5k is the bottom and currently Bitcoin is priced at $19.5 and rose to $20k earlier,
if you haven't bought Bitcoin I guarantee you will regret it because many people expect Bitcoin to dump to $15k,
and unfortunately the month will change and September will be over .
Waiting for bitcoin bottom to invest is unprofessional while we have DCA strategy. No one knows where the bottom will be, if we wait we will miss the opportunity to buy bitcoin cheaply. Investing in bitcoin is a long-term investment, a few percent higher price is nothing to worry about. Many people wait for a bigger drop but this October I believe bitcoin will rise again.
Bitcoin is always having a good result during october. The problem is we have been facing so many problems at the same time. The global recession came along with so many inflations that happened with market. That was pushing people not to spend their money for the volatile investment like crypto. The problem is when this thing is still happeing during this money and bitcoin may have negative result for this month.

Wrong, it's not always, during the last bear market of 2018, Bitcoin was doing like -3-4%  at the month of October.

But I do agree that it is a trying times not just for crypto market, but for the rest of other investments that we have right now. The looming recession, or shall I say that we are already in that phase. And still the war that we don't know when it's going to end are affecting everyone of us. Dollar is weakening is another indication that this year and maybe the next, we should expect the worst and so is Bitcoin market. Next year we will still experience another worst bearish trend.
2470  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of bitcoin rise again? on: October 01, 2022, 12:31:17 PM
Bitcoin will certainly rise again, as long as we can be patient for hold then we will get a big profit, if we focus on the long -term target then now is the best time to continue to buy, the way is to save bitcoin in 1 wallet and never open again for the price what we target has not been achieved.

Right, I do agree that bitcoin investment should be long term, but it doesn't mean that long term is not profitable as well. You just need to know how to play the game, scalping and making technical analysis and see where the price will go and anticipate how you are going to make profits from there.

But for long term, it's not that complicated. All you have to do is to buy and accumulate throughout the years, specially in bear market 1 BTC is definitely the target, but if you can't then you can just purchase in small portions.
2471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: October 01, 2022, 12:15:08 PM
According to the article, Terence Crawford wants more transparency on the event's expenses. I am shaking my head, why?

Why so demanding? I think fighters just have to fight and get paid according to the agreed amount in the contract. He is more interested on the job of the promoter, they are the ones who are taking care of that matter, they are fighters, they should focus on training.

I guess fighters now are more vocal than it was 10-20 years wherein they see this a job, with no security tenure. They just want to fight the best and see how "macho" they are compare to the other boxers in their division. That's why we have so many great fights in the past.

Now, boxers want more transparency, they have their own legal team to scrutinized every contract and may add some or contest if they don't want that to be included in the contract.
2472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 01, 2022, 11:59:36 AM

WBC and WBO super bantamweight Champion Stephen Fulton has shown interest in fighting the Bantamweight King Naoya Inoue if possible or if the latter moved up to 122lb. But if that didn't happen, Fulton can fight Murodjon Akhmadaliev instead to unify the Super Bantamweight title.

Just as I thought that the Champions in that division are waiting for Naoya Inoue. I think Inoue can crash these guys at the Super Bantamweight but of course, he just needs to fully prepare for that and don't rush everything.

The way I looked at Inoue, he is overqualified already to compete in the Super Bantamweight. Who's with me or against my idea? Smiley
You are right, Inoue is way above the competition he is facing at this division and we only have to take a look at this thread to know this is true, this is an unification fight which will create an undisputed champion and yet we are not giving Butler any chance for him to win the fight, this is how dominant Inoue really is and I do not see how this will change during the short term, so if he wants to face new challenges he has no other option but to move up a division.

He is too much because his best rival was out due to cheating, I know you know about Casimero, if only he was still a champion and Inoue gave him a chance to fight, then most probably we cannot say that there's no competition in this division.

What do you mean cheating? Casimero? again it's the problem about this weight causing him to missed the fight with Butler. And if by chance, he should be the one facing Inoue right now. But it seems that Casimero is also moving up in weight next and will have a fight this December if I'm not mistaken. So there is still a chance between them to fight in the super bantamweight division and I think the fans are still very interested on seeing this fight.
2473  Economy / Speculation / Re: All Eyes On Bitcoin’s Monthly Close on: September 30, 2022, 07:33:24 AM
Bitcoin's performance in September was disappointing,

For many, there was no particular disappointment. September has historically often been a bad month for bitcoin, so it was definitely not worth waiting for some supernatural events in the bitcoin market. If bitcoin goes below $17,000 in October, then you can forget about $30,000 for a while. Investors will be begging for bitcoin to return to the $20,000 mark. Few wanted to believe at the end of last year that Bitcoin would almost always be in the red in 2022. Now the market is giving them a good opportunity to admit they were wrong.

Indeed, only disappointing if you had expected a rally above $22000, knowing that the world is falling apart, war is getting more, new wars are becoming bigger threats, prices of goods and supply are all rising and recession is coming.

Bitcoin by now we should all realize isn't the asset to go rising sky high when the world is in crisis even it is an asset that won't disappear to zero unlike many other fiats.

I don't know why people keep letting themselves get disappointed Smiley

That's just one part of the equation, you let your self disappointed in this market, and if so, what will be your plan B? for sure there's none for them. They are going to be disappointed though, as the market is going to fall because of the world recession, not just us, but other markets like stocks, which shows that we are interconnected after all. So once those investors got disappointed, they can't just say that they will shift to others because everything is going down.

And the best thing to do is to really choose whether stocks or bitcoin as our vehicle to get out of the current world situation. And for us, it's easy choice, we better stick with Bitcoin and wait till the next bull run.
2474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is There Any Reality Behind Hash Tag Altcoinseason or it's Just a Myth? on: September 30, 2022, 04:22:43 AM
If we are going to look at BTC past history and it's correlation to the whole crypto bull run, then yes everyone is based on the price of Bitcoin, 99% of the altcoin that is. And so I don't think that the hashtag is true, it might be that they want to start something new, but we all know that it's not going to happen. We are in the bear market, as you have said, -70++% from bitcoin alone, show that we are in a bearish trend. And I would advise the OP to not trust anyone, specially about this so called crypto influencers because they have their own narrative behind.
2475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: September 30, 2022, 03:02:10 AM
Overtraining? I don't think it's a big issue though, I guess the real problem is the weight issue because boxers know if they are undertrained or overtrained. Anyway, it's already over, this rematch, we will see how Ancajas will make the right adjustments.

I would agree that there might be a weight issue in the first encounter that contributed to Ancajas' loss but let us also give credit to Martinez as he really performed very well that night that he captured that unexpected belt that he has now.

The weight really brought down his performance no doubt, and then the trainer might have push him a bit in the gym. Maybe they want to put a impressive performance.

For sure Ancajas already knew what adjustments to make on this rematch and I just hope that this time he will be more focused and forget momentarily that he lost to this guy once.

That could be added extra motivation for the former champion. He knows his mistakes inside the ring, and this is where he can really adjust and make the best out of the first fight experience. Drill Martinez and forget that he is the former champion. He should look to get it as if this is his first time. Anything that can really trigger Ancajas mentality.
2476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing and the casino business. on: September 30, 2022, 02:48:40 AM
It's not as easy as it sounds though,  gambling and investing on them is very different.  And as per this article:

https://www.investopedia.com/top-casino-stocks-5078278

Majority of them are under performing, with Las Vegas Sands Corp returning just 3 on a 12-Month Trailing Total Return (%).

While the rest are all negatives.

Of course, we appreciate women too, Serena and Venus Williams had a great battle with Swiss Miss Martina Hingis and then Maria Sharapova. Those are the times that the women side can rival the mens are far as intensity and the number of fans watching their battle in the court.

Steffi Graf and Monica Seles, who would forget the stabbing incident on her?

And along the line there are a lot of women like Lindsay Davenport, Justin Henin, Kim Clijsters, Jennifer Capriati and Mary Pierce.
Those were the days - my dad was so fond of Steffi Graf. He had a silent crush on her.
He never missed any of her match - during those days we used to have a big fat TV - but we all used to sit in front of that TV and watch together - now everyone has TV in the rooms - life have become so different

Yeah, I think most of us have seen Graf played against the other greats like Monica Seles, they really have a great competition back then. And who wouldn't have a crush on Graf during here prime?

Anyhow, those are the memories, we are all glued together in the screen watching this ladies and mens as well and we are mesmerized on how they really good. Now it's Swiatek that will have to carry it and some other ladies like Jabeur, but we will have to see and she can rise to the ranks and challenge Iga.
2478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decoin SCAM ? Msko ? on: September 29, 2022, 06:37:07 AM
If decoin scammed, you create a proper scam accusation in the board suggested to you by one of the members.

If you have strong proof linking Decoin to MSKO you can also create a free scam accusation about them with all the evidence so that members can stay away from both projects. It's the best thing you can do right now.

I have proof, it's not a problem.. linking mr shay perry, decoin to msko is not very difficult.. he doesn't even hide.. linking members of their teams who are also in the 'team' decoin, it's not difficult too.. .. i even have a telegram message with an msko admin who offers me to try to solve the problem with decoin, then who is not even in the team decoin.. I will wait a little longer to see where this discussion will with this person before making a complete summary of the situation..

Again if you have proof that the project or the people behind it is a scam then post it on the Scam Accusation board: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0.

And maybe we will see someone from their group to answer your queries. But in any case, I would advise that you should treat your money as gone already.

But giving the community a warning about this project could prevent others to fall for their trick.
2479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 29, 2022, 01:54:01 AM
Who do you think is the best number one of all time?

Pete Sampras, Jimmy Connors, Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, or Rafael Nadal? (maybe another one?)

Sampras still has the impressive record of being the number one player for 6 continuous years.
I wasn't so much into tennis in Sampras time so I don't really remeber any big rivalries for him other than Agassi and he had quite good H2H with him in the end.

Murray would have made so much more in any other time than this. I don't think tennis ever had something similar to level of performaces the big four produced before becoming the big three. Any one of them would have had it so much easier if competition wasn't that good. That is why it is so difficult to compere player from different eras.
Can we give a little appreciation to the woman players as well.
Maria and Sefty Graff
What an amazing woman they were too

Of course, we appreciate women too, Serena and Venus Williams had a great battle with Swiss Miss Martina Hingis and then Maria Sharapova. Those are the times that the women side can rival the mens are far as intensity and the number of fans watching their battle in the court.

Steffi Graf and Monica Seles, who would forget the stabbing incident on her?

And along the line there are a lot of women like Lindsay Davenport, Justin Henin, Kim Clijsters, Jennifer Capriati and Mary Pierce.

But if you look at the last 5 years, there's no single women who dominated the game such as those names. We have Osaka, but after her triumph in the grand slams, she lost traction already.

And last year we have Raducanu, same thing happen, changes coaches and now nowhere to be found in the top 5. But we could have Swiatek already, that might take the ladies division for then next coming years as I don't see anyone getting close to her at this point.
2480  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any experiences with mrSloty.com ? on: September 29, 2022, 01:13:22 AM
LOL, if that doesn't scream scam on the OP face about the withdrawals, I don't know what else could we say.

And gambling sites at least reputable would process withdrawal right away unless they found something that will make them dig deeper and investigate and delay the withdrawal for at least 2 days.

Go look around, most that answer you have signature in place so you can choose among those gambling sites and see how it goes for you.
