1481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 29, 2023, 10:54:31 AM
Congrats mate. The spread was very small for Artur, but it's still good because you won the game. It was not an easy win for him, good thing he was able to connect with a solid punch that put Yarde down and that was the end of the fight as Yarde could not respond anymore.

Just watch the highlights but I heard the news that he won the fight, he is still undefeated now and with a perfect KO win in all of his fights.
Beterbiev is really a monster, no one can survive from his punch. I think if there's a fight where he can't knock out his opponent, anyone will think the boxer is capable and has a power to compete with Beterbiev. The odds for Beterbiev to win via decision is high too since everyone know Beterbive always knock out every opponents including the strong boxer like Yarde, Smith Jr, Gvozdyk and Browne.

Could Bivol survive for the complete 12 rounds or he will pull an upset against Beterbiev?

Really hard to see how the Beterbiev vs Bivol will turn out. Obviously, Beterbiev has the power, but Bivol has the footprint and the volume punching.

Yes, I do think that Yarde did very good in this fight and judges awarded him as he was ahead in the 2 cards. But it's just a matter on time before he will be caught by Beterbiev's power and that happen. Just very unfortunately that he was doing good until the 8th, and the right hand had a lot of power as you can see in his eyes that he felt that power.
1482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: shiba inu coin, now ranked 13th in cmc on: January 28, 2023, 02:27:28 PM
Shiba Inu is low key one of the cheapest gems with the greatest upside, as mentioned now number 13 on coin market cap. One of the main strength this coin is the massive following it has and how it established itself across all the best exchanges. As years go by definitely going to increase in price.

Do not invest solely based on market cap rank. Terra Luna was one of the top 10 coins in the cryptocurrency market and we all know what happened to it.

You should have some other reasons for investing in that project. *token utility, etc

The Shiba inu team has listed the token on almost every exchange, now It remains to be seen what they'll do to pump their token.

I missed the boat from previous years though, LOL. But seriously, not sure about Shiba, it seems to be just used by entities for pump and dump.

It doesn't have utility at all, so it makes you wonder why it is sitting on the 13th spot in coinmarketcap.

Yeah, it has massive following, as I have said, this could be due to some groups just trying to make money out of it project through occasional pump sessions and then trap those newbies into investing.
1483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 28, 2023, 01:56:54 PM
The Australian women's final between Sabalenka and Rybakin is very certain and dramatic. The current score is 1:1 in sets and 3:3 in the third set.
A very interesting match to watch and a good preparation for tomorrow's men's final  Grin
It is interesting that in the media, at least in my country, more is being written about the incident with Djokovic's fans for holding Russian flags and symbols, and their meeting with Djokovic's father, than about the upcoming final tomorrow.
Last year we read about Djokovic's deportation, this year about flags and symbols worn by fans, and we listen and read the least about sports.
This is a lot of pressure for Djokovic, he should be focusing on his tennis and his game, instead he has to think about things like this and why his father won't be watching his match live tomorrow.
I hope this doesn't affect his match tomorrow.

I don't think it will affect him that much, if there is, it will be positive seen the Australian fans cheer him in this comeback game here, so there is no love lost or something.

So it's going to be Tsitsipas who I have been supporting for the last couple of years, give me some good win but in the last year it was pure disappointment.

Anyhow, I'm going with the over 36.5, I think the +5.5 for him might be a trap, IMHO.
1484  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin hits 20,000$ again, what is the reason? on: January 28, 2023, 01:30:41 PM
Another thing that could be the reason is if you noticed, these past few days especially when the year 2023 started, the value of the United States Dollar (USD) started to fall also while the cryptocurrency market or even stock markets started to rise.
There are a lot of reasons for me, especially since the Bitcoin block halving is fast approaching, it will happen next year, so for me, that's one of the reasons too why we started to pump recently.

So it means that the US economy is recovering as the USD exchange is falling? as far as our local currency though, yeah I've seen the price going down as well with some points.

But it's interesting where this pump will go down, maybe we can't pinpoint the real single reasons, CPI, or miners or the hashrate or simply investors putting their money again. So yeah, will it go to $25,000 before heading for a correction. What if there is a pivot as far as the CPI numbers again for the next month?

Block halving is next year so we should be preparing already.
1485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 28, 2023, 12:53:29 PM

Ticket sales on this fight is guaranteed as they are champions and both are popular. We don't see big fight like this all the time, that's why fans are surely willing to spend money just to watch this fight whether in the venue or through PPV. They can continue throwing words against each other now as it will continue increase the value of this fight and that would help to sold out the tickets and PPV subscription.

This fight is three years in the making but for one reason to another it never happen, but now that the two fighters show eagerness
that they want to clash this year, and both promoters agreed to make this fight happen, it could not happen if Gervonta did not get out of Mayweather's promotion, because Mayweather clearly stated that they want all his fighters to fight in the house or under the same promotion, so they can protect his cash cow and make money.
Everything on Mayweather promotions are all about making money not for legacy.

For sure, I reckon that the PPV tickets could be in the $79.99 range and then the live gates, ohh, could be well in the thousands if you want to get a better look at the fight. Nevertheless, even if we are in the worst economy, for sure boxing fans are going to shell out huge money for this fight, just to witness to young lions in the ring with so much hate against each other.

And probably either is guaranteed a purse of 8 digit figures minimum + PPV sales and live gates.

The actual amount of possible profits might go that high, as like what you said, these two ell-known fighters will be inside the ring
and will showcase their individual skills to beat one another.

Fans are surely be excited watching them throwing not just words but solid combinations to KO one another.

It will be tough for both ends to prove who's better. It will going to depend on how prepared the fighter will be.

Yes, preparation will be the key, Davis has his tune up fight, but Ryan Garcia decided to forgo of his own tune up against Gesta. So we will have to see who make the better strategy and preparation, the one with the tune up fight or the one who didn't.

And the only way to prove who's better is to face each other in the ring, that's it.

The money is really going to flow in this fight and could be one of the biggest for the year.
1486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: January 28, 2023, 10:07:48 AM
The last title shot of Nonito Donaire in his career. He needs to win this as another achievement on his legacy.

Yes, this is his last shot, all or nothing for him so he better win this fight to be able to cement his legacy.

Donaire already experienced fighting a monster, not once but twice, and was able to give that monster the toughest fight of its career. Moloney is not even close to the level of that monster. I will favor Donaire here to win the match.

Not just that, he has the tools, he might be old, but he still carry one of the best weapon in his left hook. I think he has perfected that power punch, it's like Roy Jones Jr, checked left hook, very fast and the timing as well when he throws that and it really hit the target.

That's why he has knockout a lot of great fighters with that signature checkered left hook he developed throughout his career.
1487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BNB Coin Hit $300 Mark in 2023? on: January 27, 2023, 04:47:36 AM
Well what do you know for the price of BNB coin is greater then $300 right now. Small pump in the crypto market and BNB coin is $308 and is up close to 6% in the last week.
It is possible we are seeing a pump with news of Uniswap voting. The vote was 80% to move the v3 to BNB Chain instead of Ethereum chain. Its license was expiring and only 20% of token holders voted against it. BNB chain gaining more popularity helping the price of this token I think.

Or simply that BNB is pumping just like the rest of other crypto because of the domino effect that bitcoin has to other altcoins.

So yeah, I think the OP has hit the mark of BNB, still above $300 despite some market correction (not sure what the reason though). And I think BNB is one solid coin that can still flourish till the next bull run. And then Binance still on top of the game right now, so a lot of good news as well in the future that will really push BNB again. Although I would agree that it is much as centralized as any other crypto, but the support and solid from the community.
1488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Common Online Gambling Fraud on: January 27, 2023, 03:52:24 AM
The common one start with the gambling casino requesting for KYC often especially when the gambler would have won, they introduced this verification procedures in ither to help delay and possibly cross check the winner for more verifiable authentication before handing over the fund to him but eventually it turns to an offence on the gambler's end since incomplete procedures to that may hinder him from redeeming his winnings, which they never taught about to request him doing before he won, the more reason many now termed it as gambling fraud in some cases.

It doesn't really make sense to ask KYC for big winnings since it can easily be verified if the win turned out fraud or cheat.

The KYC instead should be mandated if the account was triggered by the security and something suspicious is being suspected.

For example, a big amount was deposited on that account, and then try to withdraw it without wagering. That is an obvious attempt that something is taking place.

I think the casino will not allow you to just deposit and withdraw without wagering, they put something in their system that you have to wager x1 or something like that because it's obvious that you might be using their casino to mix coins and thus it could come from a tainted and bad source.

But in any case, I would agree that the casino should ask for KYC before any withdrawal, not just huge amount of winnings.

Because asking it late will sometimes cause issues with gamblers who doesn't cheat and take advantage of some exploits in their system.
1489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: January 27, 2023, 03:29:44 AM
^^ I like the confidence of Benavidez here, he is not backing down to any challenge as he has been chasing for this big fight for a long time. On the other hand, Caleb Plant is also confident as he is riding from that huge win, a knockout of the year.

So gonna be interesting how the fight will turn out to be. And also this fight hangs what the future will bring to the young David.

He wanted to fight Saul Alvarez next, and this is his ticket for the big one, better be a statement win because all his trash talking will back fire if he can't back it up against Caleb Plant.
1490  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: January 27, 2023, 02:30:50 AM
For some reason, it seems to me that this player easily parted with this amount.

Or it comes to mind that he was managing other people's money, and wanted to earn quick commissions by betting on a reliable outcome.

Anyway, this should be a great lesson for those with gambling problems.

But it could be worst if this is other people's money that he gamble and think that he can flip it quick and make a lot of money. And by that case, how can he pay those people now if he has taken the risk, that is the worst decision that this player will made, playing not his money but others who have trusted him.

So still gonna be sting, even if it from some millionaires, that $1.4 Million still, and for us, still big money to gamble.

And yes, just like the rest of us says, no safe bet even at that ridiculous odds.
1491  Economy / Speculation / Re: How was your belief formed? on: January 26, 2023, 12:55:23 PM
I may not be someone who has been investing in bitcoin for a long time but my confidence started to form when I often read Bitcoin cycles and I witnessed the cycle always repeating itself which is the basis for me to dare to invest in Bitcoin, my belief is getting stronger after reading this thread...
I like what you said.  Trust is built in bitcoin is a process that goes through through, that trust is rooted in positive things no matter how small or big, it accumulates into maximum trust.  I also invested in bitcoin with my savings instead of depositing it in a bank savings account.  That belief also helped me convince my wife to invest and start planning in bitcoin.

Yes, cycles, and how we all going about it. For those who have witnessed it in the past, I would say that we have trusted it already because it really did gave us some huge profits specially in the bear market.

I know that others may argue that the pattern might break at some point. But remember that we have been in the bear and bull cycle and so far still met the criteria to hit every 4 years. So that is where the trust it, and we all know that the next bull run might happen next year till 2025 and so we will continue to invest today and wait till the price goes on another all time high.
1492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 26, 2023, 12:30:23 PM
Seems nobody from both camps did reveal and share some information regarding their contract if there's indeed a clause written on it, but anyway, I'm sure both camps will always cater the fan's needs especially if the outcome of the fight is somewhat controversial and a rematch is the only way to settle their rivalry. Just love to see these two dancing in the ring and showing their prowess rather than being defensive most of the time because they are both knockout artist.

I'm 100 percent sure that a rematch clause will be stipulated in the contract to avoid the mistake that was made by Team Loma when they fought Teofimo Lopez.

I never heard as well if there is a rematch with that fight or who insists that there should be none in the first place.

I don't know if there are negotiations going on after Golden Boy Promotions received the contract that was said to be from the camp of Tank Davis because if they are dead serious about making this fight, they should have continued to make a buzz on social media because that would help them also on the promotional side but they are mum even Ryan Garcia who is so vocal on his social media account hasn't said anything after receiving the contract.

There have been dates and Oscar confirmed it already right? But we still have to wait because there is a court hearing for Tank next month. Maybe that's why they remain silence, (this could have been in the contract as well). So once this is done and they know that the fight has no stumbling block, then maybe both sides will go into the public again thru their social media about the contracts and rematch clause, if there is.

Yeah, they already have a date in mind for this fight should this pushes through but a fight won't be made official unless there is already a signed contract but it's been more than a week already but people organizing this fight are mum, maybe you are right that they will wait for the court hearing or the result of it before declaring Tank Davis vs Garcia a go since preparations will be rendered useless when Davis will be jailed.

I thought that there were already date set for this fight. If that is the case then yeah, probably waiting for the court because it's beyond their control. But sometimes court are lenient and could give way for Davis to make the fight before maybe giving him the jail sentence.

Hopefully that will be the case, so that all the preparations are not going to be useless for both parties.

And then we can talk about the rematch then if it warranted or not.
1493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 26, 2023, 10:40:15 AM

What's done and done and that match won't happen again. I don't think that he'll ever chase Casimero as he's done with him, and Casimero's career.
He still got a few years left to prove himself and I'm sure that the fire that he's got inside after the two losses that he's got from Inoue, it will brought on with the possible upcoming fight that he's got for the vacated title that Inoue has left.

The only boxer I see winning because he punches to the back of the head although it is just a graze because the real thing that happens is Ryo Akaho just acted that Casimero hit him in the back of his head, yeah acting that he was hit on the back of the head, this is because Akaho was a great and brilliant actor that I think deserves an award,

Well, John Riel Casimero can not change the past any more than fight with Paul Butler and after that a clash with Naoya Inoue I think it will never happen because Naoya Inoue is now going up the division to unified the belts in that division aswell, if he can,

I like this fight because Casimero and Nery if I'm not mistaken, has been talking trash even before Casimero moved to 122 lbs. But it was during that time that Nery won the WBC super bantamweight title in 2020. However, he lost the belt to Brandon Figueroa in his next fight and the two stop their public brawl. But I still wouldn't mind seeing a Mexican warrior fought Casimero now. It will be a good name for Casimero if he wins against Nery and he could be a step closer to his goal of fighting for a belt in super bantamweight, so yeah, why not.

There is no official news or announcement about that fight, but these two are getting on beef at each other on social media, and many are surely intrigued about the situation that these two are getting at, may be a great fight to see and an opportunity for John Riel Casimero to get up the rankings faster, but I really doubt Luis Nery would fight a lower rank Casimero and risk it just because of their beef, but who knows, some sponsor would surely like to see that fight and maybe we could see that for sure, in the future,

On the contrary, Nery will be facing Azat Hovhannisyan on February 18.

And if ever he wins this fight, he is looking at both champions, Stephen Fulton or Murodjon Akhmadaliev to be his next opponent and claim his belt back.

I haven't check Hovhannisyan but he seems to be rated number 2 by WBC and number 1 by WBA, so he is a great boxer. And with that, I'm seeing a great war between this two, might go for the full 12 rounds though.
1494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: January 26, 2023, 02:44:08 AM
Most of us here are rooting for Donaire to win by KO. However, I have to bet against you guys because I think Inoue will not be able to knock out Jason Moloney, and when that will go to the judges scorecards, the decision might not favor Donaire. I know that he will take this opportunity to win to become a champion again, but judging on his last fight, I believe his age really slowed him down and has affected his power.

Donaire being slowed down isn't really a problem after all. He is already slowed when he passes his peak but takes a look, why still winning most of his fights since entering maybe at 35 years of age or the age where we can consider him a veteran?

While Donaire is slowly losing his speed, his game style also adjusted. The goal is to gain more points therefore, he will do it slowly but surely.

It's just that he was overpowered by Inoue previously but still, his current game style is surely effective at other bantamweight boxers.

But even if he slows down, he negate it with his power and timing, we have seen that he can knockout anyone in the 118 lbs. And for me Donaire is not that fast or quick as let's say Manny Pacquiao, he uses his boxing IQ to really time his opponent coming in that's why you think he is fast. Even in the Darchy fight, you can already see his IQ there by just countering him all night with his left hook until he hit him with that huge one causing Darchy to stumble and never get back. And that is his trademark left hook that up to this day, can still knockout anyone even Moloney if he touches him with that power.

1496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 25, 2023, 04:32:42 PM
In short, Inoue already proved himself because he managed to defeat most of the boxers at 118 lbs that's why he is not campaigning at 122 lbs to see if his prowess can still keep up with the heavy names in the stated division. But for Casimero, aside from he is starting at the bottom this time, he should get himself recognize by winning more fights before we can say that he is indeed one of the threats in the division that a champion needs to face before he will be considered as the undisputed.

I remember someone mentioned here on this thread that Casimero's camp is looking forward to facing Luis Nery, one of the top ranks in the 122 lbs.

I'm not just sure if they will welcome Casimero's offer since no bearing on Nery if he will fight Casimero. Instead, Nery will push against another boxer at the rank.

The chance for Casimero to fight against well-ranked boxers is if one of the boxing councils will mandate it.

1497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia on: January 25, 2023, 11:50:40 AM
So they setup this fight for their biggest paycheck no doubt and probably the winner will go for the belt next, either Haney or Loma, or they can go and decide to move to 140 lbs which is better in my opinion.
Honestly I'm completely doubt if the winner either Tank or Garcia will want to fight with Haney or Loma lol.

What I think both of them will decide to move to 140 lbs, but the good thing the loser will don't have any pressure to fight with the next boxer because he wouldn't need to think to protect his undefeated record. Shame to see almost everyone are giving more priority for fame and money rather than their achievement. But it's what it's, at least the boxer which get few losses will not regret since there's no barrier and he accept to fight with anyone.

Well why not? maybe if the belt is on the line they will have to fight either of those guys. But it's more likely that Garcia will move to 140 lbs, I mean he has been fighting in catch weight already. And if not for this huge fight as 136 lbs, he might skipped it. But the opportunity to fight Davis for all the glory, money and respect is here. So if that is the case against either Loma or Haney, then maybe he will also fight, same with Davis, I reckon. But let's see for this two, it seems that this is the only fight that they are concern right now and not mentioning the name of Loma or Haney.
1498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 25, 2023, 11:34:14 AM
I also was thinking that Rublev must see the raining field of players and thinks yes
'once I get past Djokovic I will have lesser more beatable players'.

I also share the same concern as you guys, mentally he is not as strong as he needs to be.

Also I think there is a small red flag as to Djokovic' fitness/injury and to how
serious it is if there is one.
That is all true and I just decided to place small bet on Rublev winning it 3:0 @26. Those are some odds and I feel like they have same probability of hitting like simple ML which pays just @6.5. Rublev is winning this in straight sets or loosing as soon as Djoković takes one set. No way Rublev comes on top in close match.

I was also thinking the same that Rublev might have a good chance against Djokovic, but didn't pull the trigger.

And then just surprised to see the Djokovic didn't allow any from Rublev, as he won in 3 straight sets. And from the look of the score, might be easy route for Rublev.

Tsitsipas vs Khachanov, Stefanos the favorite here, but I'm going at the handicap of -3.5 at 1.80.
1499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jermell Charlo vs Tim Tszyu - Jan 28, 2023 on: January 23, 2023, 01:02:40 AM
^ And it's not an easy fight to be honest, so not sure if we can consider this as a tune up fight for  Tim. Because Harrison can still be a threat, he gave Charlo his first lost and I would say that the rematch has the scenario like the first fight as Charlo is not dominating that one and Harrison stick to his jab and then run, until he was caught with that huge uppercut and gets knockout.

The thing is that it will be in Tim's hometown, so he might be oozing with confidence although the last champion that defended his belt in Australia is 0-2. So hopefully it will be the other way around and Tim winning here put a statement on why he is the number 1 challenger for Charlo.

Anyone seen Liam Smith knocking out Chris Eubank in their fight his weekend? This is at a weight of 160 lbs and that is too much for Liam Smith if I'm not mistaken, but he surprises everyone when he knock out Eubank in just 4 rounds.

Now they are talking about a rematch and since Liam Smith has the leverage now, he wanted to fight at a catchweight of 157 lbs. At least this is closer to his fighting weight of 154 lbs.
