1461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin hitting it's target on: February 04, 2023, 08:33:58 AM
Today I was so glad because I was stressed free all because of Bitcoin.
To cut long story short, I went to pay the hospital bills of my younger brother who has been in the hospital for about 1 week now and I have to pay the sum of 500.000.00 naira based on no cash in my country ( Nigeria ) you will have money in your bank account but you can't withdraw from any Fiat bank. So there's scarcity of money in the country for now. So based on that I asked the  doctor if I can pay the hospital bills with Bitcoin and he said yes. So I was surprised based on my first experience paying bills with Bitcoin. To cut long story short letter That's day I paid 0.046591 BTC
I will say Bitcoin is going so far it's hitting it's target.
If people starts using Bitcoin as form of payment in there businesses it's will reduce stress.
Why do I say it will reduce stress?
Because you won't be counting fisical cash anymore and you don't have to carry any money to the bank.
So please you guy should try and stork Bitcoin because very soon it will be used as form of payment in all businesses.

Oh good the hear that the hospital allowed you to pay in bitcoin, is it P2P though or you have to used a 3rd party to be able to pay in BTC? I'm just curious because here in our country, bitcoin is not yet readily accepted but you can pay certain services thru a 3rd party in between (which defeated the purpose though of using BTC).

Hopefully as more countries accepting Bitcoin maybe we can see other services, not just hospital to accept Bitcoin. And kudos to Nigeria as well, they seems to be in forefront as far as adoption is in Africa.
1462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 04, 2023, 07:57:13 AM
me too - for me Nadal has always been a legend to me.
YOu are right he would not give up that easily - but that too is true -sometime the injuries are fatal and they kick off the players off their career.
It's not just about giving up, you have to see how Federer is still trying to be able to play and win the GS especially Wimbledon because it is his favorite surface but that didn't happen because an injury forced him to retire because his body was no longer able to compete and maybe Nadal would be the same but retiring with such great achievement is something to be proud of.

But I guess his injury is not that worst compare to Federer or to Andy Murray, so with proper exercise, he could rehabilitate his body to still compete at least one GS in this calendar year and chase another title and get one ahead of Djokovic.

So we will see, I doubt that he will retire though, of course his name is in the discussion of the GOAT.

But so far, Djokovic is still far from retiring so he can still more GS from Nadal, but for sure Rafa has a target for this year's slam.
1463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury - February 26 in Saudi Arabia on: February 03, 2023, 08:35:18 AM
Another boring cash grab.  It's not even good boxing just filling entertainment gaps and people are willing to pay for it.  I don't get it, what is the obsession with watching Paul box?  Fundamentally it's not even good boxing to watch.  These sub par amateur or entertainment fights hopefully will be a thing of the past soon.  It's getting tired.

I think that is the catch here, it's exhibition match and if you are willing to pay the ticket to either watch it live or PPV then it's a win for Jake Paul and Tom Fury.

It could only become a thing of the past if there are no fans going to buy the tickets, unfortunately that is not the case. They are good at hyping this kind of fights and that is why there are fans that is going to purchase and watch no matter what.
1464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: February 03, 2023, 04:18:03 AM
Artur Beterbiev successfully defends his title against Anthony Yarde.

The early rounds were tough for both boxers and Yarde is able to keep up with Beterbiev. He was even able to connect some good shots on Beterbiev. But the champion is always a champion and after being fairly outscored at some point, he came out aggressive in 4th round and that's where the trouble on Yarde started.
Beterbiev dominated the rest of the fight, wearing down Yarde with his power punches. Yarde showed heart and tried to come back, but Beterbiev's relentless pressure was too much for him. In the end, Beterbiev won by TKO in the 8th round, successfully defending his title.

Yarde put up a good fight against Beterbiev, and it's not easy to knock out Beterbiev, who is known for his toughness and granite chin. He absorbed Yarde's punches and continued to march forward, ultimately wearing down his opponent and securing the victory. The fight was a testament to Beterbiev's skills as a champion boxer.

I wouldn't actually say the Beterbiev dominated the rest of the fight, Yarde has some rounds under his belt and at the time of the stoppage he is ahead on points on 2 judges.

It's that that he is slowing down and getting tired as the fight goes on. Although he said that he is reserving his energy because he wanted the fight to go into distance so that he will have a chance. However, Beterbiev has other plans and just like that, one punch and changes the complexion and he secure a big victory in front of Yarde's home crowd.
1465  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for February on: February 03, 2023, 03:00:17 AM
I voted for yes, we have seen the price almost touching $25,000 already, so it's just a matter of time before we can go to that level. Although we have some minor correction after going $24,000++ but that's how it has been throughout this bull run.

So I think this dump is just like that, a minor correction and then maybe in the second week of February, we will see a price increase to $25,000.

Let's see how it goes, everyone is very excited after last month's pump and I'm sure no one has anticipated that.
1466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: February 03, 2023, 02:09:27 AM
Nonito Donaire probably remains powerful despite his age. He can still probably knockout Moloney with a perfect counter punch, but that is becoming harder to happen. If Donaire's counter right hook is thrown at the right time and landed at the right spot, Moloney might fall to the canvas. But since that counter will also need speed to happen, the probability of it happening is lower now with an aging Donaire. If this fight ends up in a unanimous decision, Moloney is probably the winner. But betting for Donaire will still be worth it especially if he is the underdog.

It's his left hook that is dangerous, that put a lot of boxers in the canvass throughout his career, it even broke Inoue's orbital bone during their first fight. So yeah, he could probably knockout anyone if he throws it perfectly, his last two wins sandwich by a Inoue's lost are both knockout so even at this age, he is very capable and dangerous and could deliver that perfect left hook that he is known.

Unfortunately, we won't see that chance as this fight is no longer happening and Nonito could be looking for another opponent already or if WBC ordered another fight between him and other rank boxers in their organization.
1467  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Remains at Critical Level of Buyers And Sellers on: February 02, 2023, 01:15:25 PM
Not sure though, we are sort in a bullish momentum in the last month or so, prices even reaches as high as 24,300$.

So I don't understand why it is on the critical levels of buyers and sellers are per the topic. Obviously there are more buyers now, pushing the price to $24,000. Yes, there are corrections, but it's not that big, after that we may see $25,000 next.

And it's also good to just go long, and look for your investment this way, just continue to buy and we will be good.
1468  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bye Bye Bear Market :) on: February 02, 2023, 12:15:38 PM
What I see now is that the party seems to have started too early and that's a bull trap if you asked me.

I've seen this theory more than once. Also I was not convinced we're out of bear market yet.
However, we've already had some attempts for correction/bring the price back down, rather weak and rather short lived. The upwards trend seems to be pretty powerful and I start to believe that OP was indeed right.

Yes, if there is something that we learn from history, is that we are still in the bear cycle even if we see this price increasing right now. I also think that this upward trend is for real, not a bear trap or something. Best case scenario is to top $30,000, and that will mean x2 of the lowest low.

And earlier I saw the price going above $24,000 and then we have some minor corrections to $23,800. Nevertheless this is just the first attempt, so I wouldn't be surprised to see second and third attempt before we surpassed $24,000 and then maintained it and go for the next big barrier of $25,000.
1469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK sponsored by Utopia on: February 02, 2023, 11:52:17 AM
^^ I believed that it will be Saudi all along, maybe Arum just wanted to insert Wembley in the picture. But with the huge money that his Saudi friends are willing to put in line to get this fight in the Middle East, it might be too good to refuse by both camp specially Fury who might be asking for the bigger purse.

But we don't have any issues with regards to the venue, as long as we looking for a unification fight in Heavyweight now, then maybe majority will agree with me.
1470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 02, 2023, 02:16:23 AM

Let's not think about that and just hope instead that this fight will push through without using of any influence that will make the fight unfair because of some favors. Inoue already got the homecourt advantage here and his camp, and even the entire nation of Japan is confident and rooting for the boxer to win. Besides, Inoue doesn't need any favor because he will always get the job done as I reckon, he's not planning in staying long in this weight class.

I definitely agree with you about that, while it's undoubtedly given that Naoya Inoue got the homecourt advantage here because the fight will happen at his country. I'm still positive the Inoue doesn't need that advantage or favor from his countrymen as I know that he got this handled and I can't think that Fulton will be able to give him that first defeat. Anyway, if I'm right, this bout will happen in Saitama again where his recent fights happened.

With Inoue's skill and power he doesn't need a homecourt advantage even the added weight is not a disadvantage for Inoue, he just added a few pounds it's still in his range, Inoue's camp has a lot of supporters and their promoters can give what the other camps want for the fight to be held in Japan, they want to satisfy their boxing community, I don't think Fulton can stop Inoue's train he's not the man to stop Inoue's train, he will soon have the super Bantamweight belt on his waist.

Yeah, he has proven that he can win outside of his native country Japan. But if this one is going to be held in Saitama again, Inoue will have so much confident because he wanted to please the crowd again, just like what he did against Donaire, devastating knockout win.

Perhaps we may want to re-phrase that, chances of Fulton are slim to stop the train hype of the Inoue. Naoya is on a destructive path that we don't know who is going to beat him in 122 lbs.
1471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: February 02, 2023, 01:57:14 AM
As for the venue, they are talking about 3 possibilities, (a) MGM Grand Garden Arena, (b) T Mobile Arena, and (c) Allegiant Stadium.

So they are all in Las Vegas, the gambling capital so expect a lot of money going to flow not only in this fight, but in the casino's surrounding it. There has hasn't been a boxing event in Allegiant Stadium, the home of Las Vegas Raiders who reported to have a sitting capacity of 70,000.

MGM has 20,000 and T Mobile Arena 17,000 sitting capacity.

So let's wait till the final contract has been signed and if they are looking to sit more boxing fans, Allegiant Stadium might be the good choice here.
Allegiant Stadium  would be my choice this is a big event and you want as many people filling the seats. I am not sure if they could sell out a stadium that big but a 17000 capacity stadium or a 20000 is to small imo. MGM would be the 2nd choice because it is larger then the t mobile one. Allegiant Stadium would be historic though if it is true that no boxing fight has been hosted there before.

Right, it's better to get a bigger stadium to fill all the fans instead of smaller venues like MGM or T-Mobile, although this two has been the staples for fights in Las Vegas for the last couple of years. But it won't hurt to insert a huge Allegiant Stadium in this magnitude of a fight. Although there are no official belts in the line, but both are two of the hottest boxers are far as drawing crowds. And it will be huge money if they can fill they 70,000 capacity and could set a precedence in Las Vegas.
1472  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is getting ready for $25K, How? on: February 01, 2023, 09:55:23 AM
I think bitcoin is likely to reach $25k or not, it will entirely depend on what happens at the first Fed meeting of the new year, which is scheduled for tonight. If it goes as expected, they will raise interest rates by 0.25% with a dovish, non-hawkish tone, then the market will have more positive changes. There are many optimistic predictions for the market, so wait for the next bitcoin uptrend. I also predict this rally to hit $25k before correcting.

I thought that the meeting is finished? or maybe I'm wrong?

But yeah, let's wait for it, the price is moving towards $25,000 but it's not assurance as this point. It seems that the buyers are exhausted as some point going into $23,000 and we need some positive news to push it to higher.

And maybe after the Fed's meeting and pivot it will be seen as a another impetus and so with that the price can go to $25,000-$30,000 next month or at least next quarter.
1473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how the name of Bitcoin is spreading globally! on: February 01, 2023, 09:21:13 AM
LOL, I thought it was BTC, but thanks it was BTG.

So it's a big surprised the BTG was able to be promoted like this? or it is just the people behind the bag of chickpeas supported it? makes me wonder.

Or maybe it's kinda misleading as well for those who are buying and thinking that this is BTC?
1474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 01, 2023, 08:33:38 AM
After Beterbiev knocked down Yarde, he's calling for Jake Paul to fight with him lol. I believe Paul will act like he never know anything and avoid to fight with Beterbiev, because he will get knock out in just few seconds. Paul know if he's a nothing in boxing and he has many option to cherry pick a new opponent.

No reactions yet from Jake Paul yeah? Lol. I'm not even sure if he'll react to this or nah, but of course he will, most probably.
If he's still doing YouTube, reactions are gonna be a good content to earn views.
If Jake accepts this challenge, he will have himself a death wish. Though he still have a fight against Tommy by the end of Feb, but this one from Beterviev should be next lol.

Later down the road with Beterbiev retires, maybe they will want to go and fight. But not this version of Arthur, Jake Paul will avoid it at all cost. Not sure though why Beterbiev is calling Paul, do they have a beef or something in the past?

Or it is just that Beterbiev wanted to shut up the mouth of Jake Paul because he is fighting former boxers?

And it seems that Beterbiev is serious if this fight materialized, yeah, could be death wish for Jake.

If Arthur is calling Jake Paul then he is very serious about it. Everything steam from the statement of Jake Paul saying that he would rather face Beterbiev , than facing his compatriot Bivol, so Beterbiev takes this as a taunt.

But as you guys have said, this is not going to be fair, although Jake Paul can go as high as 185 lbs, just like his fight with Tommy Fury if I'm not mistaken. But still Beterbiev has the advantage in power so that will be dangerous and even Arthur says that he will beat Paul in 2 rounds via knockout.
1475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: February 01, 2023, 01:49:41 AM
And Bivol also targeting Canelo for a rematch either 168 or 175, so this fight might have to wait then as this will be Bivol's priority for sure. And if he won against Canelo again then go for the unification, that will be the perfect scenario.

Bivol targeting Canelo? Maybe that's the other way around and Canelo is the one targeting Bivol for a rematch.

Bivol in his statement is willing to go down to 168 lbs, Canelo's fighting weight, and with that we can say that he is the one chasing Alvarez if he is willing to go to that weight. And remember that he is a natural 175 lbs, he started his career at this weight already.

Bivol doesn't target a big name without a good return. He will only fight those boxers with hold titles regardless of their popularity.

Definitely at this point in his career, he has a title and beat Canelo.

There is also no way that Bivol will move down and fight at 168 lbs. If Canelo wants a rematch, he's the one to need to adjust.

That's exactly my point, so he is targeting Canelo now to get his belt at 168 lbs.
1476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 01, 2023, 01:08:30 AM
I will give the slight advantage to Magsayo in terms of power, but for the work rate, it's Figueroa here. This is probably like the Ceja war, going back and forth and then Mark will caught Figueroa later with a big left causing him to go down and kiss the canvass and not make it.

Interim belt and probably after this the winner will against fighting Rey Vargas, and if my chance my prediction will happen, it will be a trilogy for Vargas vs Magsayo.
1477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who else have my kind of mindset for Bitcoin 2023 on: January 30, 2023, 02:16:48 AM
Bitcoin have show quite a lot of traction lately even though there have been many challenges in the past few months in 2022, the the year 2023 have been filled some exciting chart outlook where Bitcoin shown a lot of green signal of more demand compare to the red negative chart that flood the chart through out last year.

WHAT IS YOU CURRENT BTC MINDSET:
2023 is the year I found my confidence in bitcoin as I have not check the price of Bitcoin for the past 80 hours, since I am now fully into long term holding giving myself, a timeframe of 2-3 years before looking back on the price but what I will do is to accumulate more Bitcoin as chances present itself.

Who else have my kind of mindset let discussed welcome to the future Bitcoin holders!

Are you saying that you don't have confidence on Bitcoin? or maybe you can't get your eyes checking on the prices. In any case, as you stayed in this market, perhaps you will be immune to checking the prices regularly.

Just like the others here, we need more patience and be calm for this year. And look at the bright side or the long term.

Next year will be the block halvening, it's the catalyst for the next bull run and you should focus now on accumulating as much as you can.
1478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 30, 2023, 01:37:11 AM
Is Federer now out of the equation for GOAT? Djokovic and Nadal, both have won more slams than him and are still on top of their game (barring injuries).

Really depends on how you see it, obviously as far as Grand Slams, both Djokovic and Nadal has more, and they are tied.

And we are expecting that Djokovic will break that tie and probably win in the next coming years so yeah, most likely he will be the GOAT by the time he retires. Tsitsipas though, another sad lost for him at the hands of Djokovic.

He really tried his best on the 2nd and 3rd, that Djokovic game is too much. Congrats who take the win tonight.
1479  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the bitcoin price continue to increase? on: January 29, 2023, 11:49:35 AM
Sooner or later we will going to hit a snag, so let's enjoy the current run that we have, $23,000 and counting after a lowest low of $15,000.

But still a long way to go for the bull run that we all expecting, huge run, it will have to happen after the halvening next year. And with this current spike, I'm seeing that $25,000 might be the big test if we can reach that maybe in February. And then the whole year, it could be the price is around $30,000-$40,000. Far stretch is $50,000, but who knows, maybe the bulls are going to continue pouring their money for this year in preparation for the expected run in 2024-2025.
1480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: January 29, 2023, 11:29:46 AM
I believe Bivol would win if the fight will happen. I saw the weakness of Beterbiev in this fight, it's just unfortunate that Yarde was not able to capitalize on his advantage, if he was good, then most likely Beterbiev will struggle due to a big cut above his eye. I know that Beterbiev has powerful punches, but I believe in terms of strategy, Bivol has the edge.

Beterbiev have slowed down maybe because of his age but the power is still there, no doubt about that but against Bivol who is so very disciplined on his defense i think he may struggle but let us see if the unification will happen because as what they said in boxing that "you have a very good game plan but that will change once you will be hit with power punches".

The good thing about on Beterbiev's promoter is that they were already saying and hoping that Bivol's promoter will sit down with them to discuss this huge fight in the LHW division that all of us is wanting to see while they are still in their prime.

BTW, congrats to those who bet that this will end via KO on round 8.

Beterbiev shows intention that he is willing to fight his compatriot for all the belts in LHW. The only obstacles is obviously the Arum vs Hearn negotiations. Although he have fights before and cooperate with each other, not sure if Arum is willing this time specially if they are going as who will be the A side in this fight.

And Bivol also targeting Canelo for a rematch either 168 or 175, so this fight might have to wait then as this will be Bivol's priority for sure. And if he won against Canelo again then go for the unification, that will be the perfect scenario.
