2521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Always gamble with sense on: August 15, 2021, 05:35:02 PM
I have seen a lots of gamblers recently making consistent huge loses in gambling especially unregulated gambling which result is not even determined by the gambling sites or individual efforts but by nature like sport bets like football, Tennis, Basket ball etc. One could say that a bet is being manipulated especially for games which results are regulated by gambling sites and casinos.

Sport bets results are never regulated/determined by gambling sites but I still see individual gamblers making quite a huge losses in sport gambling which I believe it's abnormal to me and there is need to have a rethink after much losses.

Could this be normal for one to be having consistent losses in sport betting when result is not even determined by betting platforms? I have been reasoning of what could be the reason of such losses or could it be as a result of less knowledge in a particular sport.

Well in the end sports betting is also not a safe thing to do otherwise there would be way more professional gamblers out there that would bet on sports games for a living. Of course there are bets that are pretty safe to make like when the absolute dominating team of the season plays against the club that is on the last position of the table, but even there it is possible that the underdog wins. Also if you only pick the safest of bets then you will not make much profit even if you win most of your bets, that is why a lot of gamblers combine a few safe bets into one bet which increases the potential winning but of course also makes it more likely that you don't win your bet.
If you are placing 10 bets and you are always 100% sure that the result will be as you predicted and you are always wrong then i would say it is time to take a step back and think about your sports knowledge  Cheesy
2522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is not a rival of Bitcoin on: August 15, 2021, 05:26:12 PM
The comparison of the value of etherum and bitcoin is very far, the price of one BTC is $ 45,975 and one Etherum is $ 3,152 (15 August 2021, 16:53:00). Etherum is far behind BTC, although Etherum’s current popularity is great, unfortunately Etherum still can’t be the first in the market. what do you think?

Bitcoin still has the huge advantage that it was the first cryptocurrency ever and therefore paved the way for other all crypto projects to follow, so if there would be no bitcoin there would probably be no cryptocurrencies at all today. For most people that are not into crypto bitcoin = cryptos because they don't know any other crypto project than bitcoin. If you just look at the functionality and the possibilities than i would say that objectively ethereum is the far superior blockchain compared to bitcoin. You have faster transaction speed and what is far more important, you have the smart contract functionality, without that a lot of the current hypes in the crypto space like Defi would not even be possible.
So i believe that the value of Ethereum will come closer and closer to the value of Bitcoin.
2523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - 2nd Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 15, 2021, 12:09:24 PM
We've left 3 weeks behind and Regensburg started the season very great. They scored 8 goals in total against Darmstadt, Sandhausen and Holstein Kiel and didn't even concede one. They were nearly relegating from the league in the last season. But now, they are the best team so far. The 2nd Bundesliga is a really interesting league.  Grin

So far Regensburg really performed extremely well and i guess nobody expected that after the last season. I don't really think that they can stay in the first upper regions of the table for a long time but every point that they can gather now is good for them and will hopefully lead to a much more relaxed season than last year where it was really tense and close.
In the past the big clubs that were relegated down into the second bundesliga almost always had huge problems to get back into the first Bundesliga quickly again, with the exception of Stuttgart 2 seasons ago. There are no teams that will definitely move up into the Bundesliga because the second division is just to strong for that.
2524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you automatically sell a token on uniswap as soon as a transaction arrive on: August 15, 2021, 12:02:01 PM
Can I optimize this so that I sell the token/eth if only the transaction arrives without my participation ?

For example, someone sends me an eth and as soon as the transaction arrives, 1inch / uniswap immediately sell and exchange it for DAI at the current price?

I don't think that they are any official tools or smart contracts for that because that, at least i have never heard of a function like that. I am pretty sure though that bots or scripts for that exist somewhere out there in the depths of the internet but i would definitely not use any of those because it is just way to dangerous. If you want a bot or script that automatically sells tokens or coins as soon as they arrive on your wallet then this bot basically needs full control over your wallet and always needs to be connected to it. This means also means that if you just use a bot from the internet then it is very much possible that the programmer of the bot has now full control over your wallet and can withdraw your coins to his wallet.
2525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: August 14, 2021, 05:14:13 PM
Toto Wolff said that teams like Mercedes, Red Bull, Ferrari, McLaren, Alpine and Aston Martin all have a chance to become the champion in the 2022 season. We are going to have new cars and we don't know which team will be on forefront in the next season. I hope that the competition fires up even more and we can see many teams competing for the title.

Of course he says that because he wants to create some form of excitement for the next season and if i remember correctly he basically said that before every season and we all know how boring the last few F1 seasons were. This season red bull came pretty close, but the main reason for that is probably that mercedes already puts a lot of effort into the car of next year and not so much into this years car. Red Bull on the other hand invested more into this years car and that is probably the reason why they are closer now. So it is also possible that mercedes is much further ahead next season then this one. Of course there are big changes to the car in the next season but that doesn't mean every team starts at 0 again.
2526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why target binance? on: August 14, 2021, 04:51:53 PM
Binance exchange is having some issues with wrong accusations lately probably because it's the best, the government sees this as a gateway for money laundering network instead of the ease it brings for crypto investors, honestly the future of the exchange looks uncertain since the CEO himself said he is willing to step down if he see someone to take over but no one, I repeat no one is as good as CZ, I hope things won't come to this, CZ wants the best for crypto not just the money

I also saw a thread in here a few days ago and if i remember correctly i even posted in it. That thread was about a guy on twitter that allegedly did a thorough research about binance and there where even some documents shown like for example a document of the cayman islands that basically said that there is a strike off pending for binance at the 29th of october 2021. I don't really know if that document is legit as it is just a screenshot and probably very easy to fake. But i will say though that, recently there where some negative news about binance like the CEO that left binance only a few months after he joined. I don't really think though that anything major will happen to binance in the near future.
2527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 13, 2021, 09:24:12 PM

the opening match is now over - it remained at 1-1. bayern munich, however, was clearly the better team... had a ball possession of 65% and 21 shots on goal

Even though i am a Bayern supporter i would say that in the end a draw was the right result in my opinion. Gladbach was definitely the better team in the first 30 minutes and therefore their 1-0 lead was well deserved at that time. Then bayern had to react and they did it in a very convincing way and they totally dominated the game between minute 30 and 70 where they had a lot of great chances but only managed to score 1 goal, so definitely lacking efficiency there. Afterwards Gladbach was in charge again and i also think that one of the fouls that upamecano did in the box should have been a penalty and if Gladbach would have scored a goal that late i doubt that bayern would have been able to respond again.
2528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DYOR also needs your input on: August 13, 2021, 09:18:27 PM
So I happened to dug up a little research on my own as it's quite better to alwaysDYOR, but still one way or the other one needs input from few other crypto enthusiastic from the forum.

I believe we all are aware that Bitcoin as we know it brings almost every altcoins to the grave in early May, now it happens that the same Bitcoin seem to be picking up once again, I mean it's bull season is about to get activated soon alongside ETH after the activation of London hard fork and EIP-1559.

My plight is the fact that majority of these altcoins won't get to rise alongside Bitcoin and some might not even get the chance to beat the ALT it was before the bear market.

The underlisted are my top favourite picks

1. Dego
2. KardiaChain
3. Poolz Finance
4. FEG

Please let's share ideas on these already listed. However, if anybody have any promising projects. Kindly add up in the threads.

Thanks all

I would personally stay away from FEG just because it is a meme-coin and i don't invest in meme-coins because i always look for project with a use-case and a solid team because i like to hold my crypto invests for a longer term. From the other 3 projects i only know a little bit about Poolz Finance. It is a launchpad and like all launchpads it lost a lot of value in the recent weeks. At the moment it is recovering though and already back at 4 dollars per token. If you are planning to invest more into new projects in the future than poolz might be your chance here becaues if you own 250 poolz and stake them then you get 1 ticket for the whitelist lotteries of the projects that are having their IDO on poolz.
2529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 13, 2021, 02:40:26 PM
Seems like Corentin Tolisso will probably leave Bayern Munich soon. Now that it looks like that Marcel Sabitzer will join Bayern within the next few days, Tolisso would probably get even less time on the field that he had in the last season. Plus his contract is only running until the end of this season and this means it is Bayerns last chance to get a transfer fee for him. Sadly he never really played a big part at bayern munich mostly because of his many injuries. It looks like that Juventus and Tottenham are interested in a transfer of tolisso. His market value is at 20M€ so both of those clubs could handle the transfer fee pretty easily.
2530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano Smart Contracts coming soon? on: August 13, 2021, 02:30:13 PM
Cardano (ADA) is scheduled to upgrade its existing network they call it the Alonso Hard Fork. The biggest upgrade of this cardano has
privileges capable of facilitating smart contracts on its network. If the cardano smart contract really happens
do you think cardano will be able to become a rival to bitcoin, ethereum and binance?
Your opinion its appreciated in this discussion.  Smiley

Seems like the alonzo hard fork of cardano that will enable smart contracts on the platform is really coming sometime in september. The price of cardano already reacted very positive to this rumour/news. Even though i don't own any cardano myself i still think that cardano will be one of the hottest project in the next few weeks because of the upcoming smart contract functionality and all the possibilities that are opening up with it. There are already a few DEXes in the works that will run on the cardano chain (for example sundaeswap), just like uniswap for ETH or pancakeswap for BSC. I think that at least one of those has significant moon-potential and i will probably through a few bucks into sundaeswap once that is possible.
2531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 'White Hat' hacker has returned most of the stolen $600 million crypto tokens on: August 13, 2021, 12:34:07 PM
'White Hat' hacker has returned most of the stolen $600 million crypto tokens, says Poly Network

The hackers behind one of the biggest ever digital coin heists that targeted cryptocurrency platform Poly Network have returned nearly all of the $610 million-plus they stole.

Referred to as Mr White Hat by the Poly Network, the "ethical hackers" who generally aims to expose cyber vulnerabilities, upon the return of the funds, has "transferred to the multi-signature wallet" controlled by the hacker and the Poly Network team.

The only remaining tokens to be returned are the $33 million in tether stablecoins frozen earlier in the week by cryptocurrency firm Tether, Poly Network said.

"The repayment process has not yet been completed. To ensure the safe recovery of user asset, we hope to maintain communication with Mr. White Hat and convey accurate information to the public," Poly Network tweeted.

https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/cryptocurrency/white-hat-hacker-has-returned-most-of-the-stolen-600-million-crypto-tokens-says-poly-network-7328431.html

I find this to be quite interesting, did Mr White Hat find it difficult to move or sell these tokens thought the Poly blockchain operates on interoperability. Could the hacker have found it difficult to exchange stolen cryptocurrency  for cleaner coins

I am also not really sure and i doubt that it really was the hackers intention from the beginning to just show the weaknesses of the polygon network and then send the stolen tokens back. I would guess that last few days were probably the most thrilling ones in the life of the hacker so far with a value of 600m+$ on his wallets and instantly becoming super reach, at least virtually. A guy that is so good in hacking is probably also very smart and knows that there is probably no way to move and eventually pay out such huge amounts of money without people or official institutions noticing. I know that privacy blockchains exist but i doubt that you can achieve that your transaction are fully untraceable with them.
2532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 💰 Summer Tokyo 2020 💰 Discussion and bet thread 💰 Summer Game 💰 on: August 13, 2021, 09:23:14 AM
The judging in this edition of the Olympics was below average. And as you pointed out, Linoy Ashram's performance in rhythmic gymnastics was not up to the mark, and yet she ended up with the gold. But at the same time, the performance from the Russian gymnasts (Dina Averina/Arina Averina) were also not that great. Linoy Ashram  was awarded a very high score of 107.800 despite the drop. And in ribbon, she received 23.300 (second highest). How can the judges give such a high score, despite the mistake?

As long as there are human judges involved there will always be mistakes or decisions and ratings that feel to good, to bad, unjustified or just completely wrong. In sports like gymnastics, diving or dressage riding the personal preferences of a single judge can decide if a athlete wins a competition or not. That has always been the case and i guess the athletes just have to live with that.
What i have to say though is that in certain sports the referees where really bad in this olympics for example in boxing and in football (soccer), which is also quite logic because in football the top european referees where not participating in the olympic games and the whole boxing competition was organized by the olympic comitee themself instead of the international boxing association this time.

You may also wonder how serious Messi's grief is that he has to leave the club. Last year he had already made the decision to leave the club, and at the last minute it fell through. If you really love your club so much, why would he want to leave last year? I think it's a stage. with Crocodil tears.
Next day he was cheering in paris Smiley

I also think kinda the same. I believe messi that he is really sad that he could not prolong his contract at barcelona. As far as i know he does not speak french and not even english so i really believe him that he wanted to stay in Spain just for personal and comfort reasons and of course also why he really likes Fc barcelona.
If he really wanted to stay at barca at all costs then i am 100% sure that there would have been a way for him to stay there. Barca had to cust salary costs down drastically to meet the new regulations. So if Messi had been willing to give up a large part of his salary, then surely he could have stayed. I'm not saying that he would have had to do that, or that I would have done that, but there would certainly have been a possibility to stay.
2535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are other cryptocurrencies not like Bitcoin? on: August 12, 2021, 11:09:26 AM
Over the years Bitcoin have been doing very great and as a matter of fact it is the fastest cryptocurrency that is much valuable and growing with rapid speed. Unlike other cryptocurrencies, some come doing better at the earlier stage but as time goes on they loss value and at the end of the day it gets crash .
my question is that why can't they last and be like Bitcoin and what does it take for this unstable cryptocurrencies to be like Bitcoin.
I'll be glad to get responds to add to my knowledge concerning this . Thank you

It is not true that bitcoin is the fastest cryptocurrency at least if you talk about transaction speed here. Bitcoin transaction can take a very long time as the blocktime of bitcoin is around 9 minutes and if you have to wait a few blocks for your transaction to get mined and confirmed than it is easily possible that a transaction takes hours or even days. So from a pure technological standpoint there are a lot of crypto projects out there that are offering way more functionality than bitcoin. The reason why bitcoin is still the number one cryptocurrency in terms of marketcap is simply because it is by far the most well known crypto project out there. People that are not into crypto themself often even think that crypto=bitcoin.
2536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 12, 2021, 09:57:25 AM
For the new coach of Bayern, Julian Nagelsmann, the first matches haven't been positive: the Bavarians suffered defeats against Gladbach, Cologne and Napoli. And the absences of their best players, can't be an excuse.
Despite being under-prepared, in this debut match Nagelsmann should line up Davies, Kimmich, Goretzka, Sané, Muller, Gnabry and Lewandowski, the latter coming off a memorable season in which he broke all goal records. Hernandez, Tolisso and Pavard are definitely absent.
I think the safest bet here is both teams to score.

It is still discussed in the media which player should replace Benjamin Pavard in the opening game against Gladbach. Bouna Sarr is a right defender so he would be the perfect replacement if you just look at the position but Sarr delivered pretty disappointing performances in the last season and even in the preparation games for this season he did not really play a big role so i would guess that Niklas Süle will start instead.
I also think that the chances for the other teams to win the Bundesliga title are higher than in the previous seasons. Bayern is still the big favorite, but if they are having a bad start into the season then everything can happen.
2537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs, DEFI, NFTs, - what's next? on: August 12, 2021, 09:48:14 AM
Hey guys!

any ideas what could be the next big thing after the three before which we saw over the years?

Greetings!

I don't really know if it is the next big thing but i personally find all those play-to-earn games that are emerging right now quite interesting. If you look at axies infinity then you can see that a lot of people in the Philippines don't go working anymore because they play axies and can make 1500$ per month with it which is way more than they would make with working in the Philippines. Of course such play-to-earn games behave mostly like a normal investment, which means you need to be early to make a really nice profit and if you want to start with axies infinity now it is also very much possible that you lose money with it, because no game grows forever and if no new players join then you can't sell your axies to them.
2538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020/2021 : Discussion & Predictions on: August 11, 2021, 12:56:59 PM
I am pretty sure that it has 0 impact on the performances of the american and european athletes that the olympic games where in japan this time. The athletes arrive early enough to the Games that jet lag is no longer a problem once the competitions begin. Nowadays, everything is scientifically and medically planned. The European and American athletes would not have performed better on their home continent. For the spectators from Europe, of course, it was not ideal because a competition day began at night time and when people usually came home from work it ended, so from this point of view the competitions took place at exactly the wrong time.

Then what was the reason for the poor performance of the western nations this time? And Japan won 27 gold medals this time, when compared to 12 won in 2016. That obviously means that they had some host advantage. Another nation that performed exceptionally well this time is Australia. They won 8 gold medals last time, and this time they improved that tally to 17. Without any exception, it is the Asian teams which have improved their tally from the 2016 edition. The COVID 19 situation might have also played its part.

I think the main reason for the good result of Japan is quite simple and obvious. They were the hosts of this olympic games. One advantage that you have as a host is that your athletes have a little extra motivation but i would say that is almost negligible. The main reason for the better results, in my opinion, is that the host country is making great financial and organisational efforts to perform as well as possible. The decision to hold the 2020 Olympics in Japan was made in 2013.This means that Japan has now had 8 years to not only build the stadiums but also to improve the infrastructure of the individual Olympic sports in the country in order to find and promote as many young talents as possible. Such efforts will result in a better standing in the medals table. Similar developments occurred with Chinese athletes at the 2008 Olympics and with British athletes at the 2012 Games.

2539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AMAZING NFT on: August 11, 2021, 12:41:34 PM
Cryptokitties and Axie infinite? They are the top on my list and CITIZEN Finance and Vulcan forged are the next so I recommend checking them out, also these projects are the most profitable for me since 2020 combine, DYOR

I also really like the idea of play to earn games and as i am a passionate pc gamer myself why not do what i enjoy and earn money with it? But if you look at axies infinity now then you will see, that you need to own at least 3 axies to be able to even start playing the game. One axies costs around 250$ now which means you have to spend 750$ to be able to start playing. So in the end the same rule applies to those NFT games then to normal crypto investments. You need to be really early to make good profits. Those guys that bought their axies for 5$ months ago are earning a significant amount of money now with the game as they can breed new axies and sell them for 250$, but if you join now it is also possible and also likely that you won't get your investment back.

They may have just replied to your post. Maybe they didn't keep the news of the game properly. Otherwise, they might be a little busy. Couldn't read post properly.
As far as I know the match between Bayern Munich and Bremer SV has been postponed due to corona virus. Did I hear wrong? Do you know any news related to this?

Well i think that there are also people in here that are not so familiar with the german club football, which is totally fine btw, and automatically think about werder bremen when they read about a club from bremen. The statement, that Bayern munich is still far behind Werder Bremen in terms of achievements and the depth of the squad is still totally wrong though.  Cheesy
If i am correct and i just googled it again to be sure, then the match of Bremer SV v. Bayern Munich will be on august 25th and not today. So it's still two weeks away. For this reason, the draw for the 2nd round has also been postponed until 5 September.
