1561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About Ethereum merge on: April 15, 2022, 10:42:15 PM
Can Ethereum lose its stand because of failing PoS merge? Vitalik wants PoS by force and that thing is just too buggy as hell, it seems whales are not in good mood about it as well, I just think that ETH can't make it without the PoW algorithm because this adds value to ETH a lot.

I have not heard any rumors that the change from Proof of work to proof of stake is not happening or wont't happen because of bugs of stuff like that. I mean it sure takes forever but i also think this is not an easy task to do and there are so many people in the world already that are either holding ETH or an ETH based token so the team around Vitalik Buterin knows that they need to get this stuff right to not make hundreds of thousands of people very unhappy.
I think the transition from PoW to PoS needs to happen, first of all because of environmental reasons, nowadays everything is about saving CO2 emissions and therefore it is hard to explain to people that crypto mining consumes more power than entire countries.

FC Barcelona - Eintracht Frankfurt Grin
this was a pathetic result for barcelona, but it was already an expected result, and it's not because Eintracht Frankfurt is a strong team, in fact Eintracht Frankfurt are a weak team that in the next phase will just be a team in which whoever calls to play against them he was just lucky because he will win. Barcelona's defeat has to do with the problem in defense, they had already conceded 2 goals against Levante, and note that Levante is in the relegation zone, so it was already foreseeable that Barcelona would concede many goals, I canceled my bet immediately that I realized this.

I agree that this was a very disappointing and even embarrassing performance of Barcelona and i also think that they really would have needed those few extra million euros that they would have gotten if they were able to reach the semi finals or even the finals of the Europa League. Barcelona is nearly bankrupt after all with debts of 1,3 Billion €.
I disagree though that Frankfurt is a weak team. It seems to me that you have not really seen any games of Frankfurt in the European competitions in the last years. In 2019 they also reached the semi final of the Europa League and then they were absolutely on the same level with their opponent Chelsea and only lost after the penalty shootout. Frankfurt has the ability to beat every one of those other clubs that are remaining in the competition now.
1563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: invested in these coins on: April 15, 2022, 01:03:31 PM
Guys, let's talk about the coins that we had invested in.
These ones are mine
BNB
SOL
SHIB
XRP

BNB and Sol look like solid investments to me. I don't know when you have invested into those coins but i would guess that if you are holding them for quite some time then you should be able to make a nice profit with it. Don't expect to make a x10 or even more if your investment with those two coins though as early investors already made a x100 or more with those projects therefore the room for another x100 is just not there in my opinion. XRP also seems ok, i mean a large part of the crypto enthusiasts dislikes XRP because it is centralized and the idea of crypto has always been to give more power to the normal people.
Well and SHIB, i think if you can sell it for a little bit of profit then sell it. The overall trend for shit-coins is downwards.

Barca : Frankfurt  2:3

what a fantastic game . congratulations to frankfurt

What a great game to watch. I would guess that 95% percent of all football fans expected that it will be a pretty easy match for Barcelona today and that they will surely go through to the next round. Eintracht Frankfurt has proven before though that they are always capable of winning against big teams in the european cups. Back in 2019 they also reached the semi final in the Europa League and then they even managed to reach the penalty shootout against the huge favorite FC Chelsea. So i knew before that Frankfurt has a chance but of course i also expected Frankfurt to go through.
And of course Frankfurt has one of the best fan groups in the world. To bring 30000 fans to an away game that is more than 1000 km away is just absolutely crazy and unique.
1565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba dump coming? on: April 14, 2022, 09:01:24 PM
Something deep down is telling me that the reason why whales are buying Shina inu for the past months is because of Robinhood listing, how sure are they that Shiba will be listed on Robinhood? Anyway, now I think a bigger Shiba dump is in motion because once the expected gains from this listing isn't pure or strong there will be a massive dump, am I wrong or right.

If you look at the 3 month chart on coinmarket cap then it is pretty obvious, that there was no heavy buying in the last months from whales because today the price of Shiba Inu is lower than it was 3 months ago, even though the price made a 25% jump upwards a few days ago because of that news of the robinhood listing. That effect of this news is now gone too and my opinion is that the general trend for Shiba Inu is downwards because in the end it is just another sh*t-coin with no use case that somehow managed to get the most attention and hype out of all those second generation meme-coins that came up after elon musks tweet about dogecoin.
1566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [DEBATE] Are meme coins ruining cryptocurrencies? on: April 13, 2022, 10:12:27 PM
then DOGE came and it changed everything imo, everyone who spent their time brain storming better ideas for new coins saw the success of this new coin that the only thing they offered was "funny" memes and untraditional methods to promote their coin and nothing about technology or improvements, this opened the gates of hell for more cringe worthy low effort Idiocracy type of coins that offered no value which imo made cryptocurrencies stagnant and changed the perspective that Crypto is a technological revolutionion to ponzi scheme like investement asset where we reward cringe instead of rewarding new technologies or ideas. so what do you think about this topic and if i am right or wrong and is there a way out of this.

I totally agree with your last sentenced that i quote here because feel the same. I mean i was still kinda OK with Doge back then because i don't think it hurts a market if there is one meme-coin that is getting some traction and media attention. I also don't think that Doge immediately changed everything once it came out. I think the sole reason for that whole shit-coin hype that we had to witness in the last few months was because Elon Musk made tweets about Dogecoin. That was enough to make the Dogecoin price rise like crazy and this then lead to the shit-coin flood because a lot of people wanted to create fast and easy money without any effort. I think this took away attention and also trading volume from a lot of good projects.
Thank god the shit-coin hype is slowly but surely dying now and i hope that in a few months only a handful of them will be left, because most of them are dead within a few days now.
1567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 13, 2022, 10:04:22 PM
Atlético 0 - 0 Manchester City
Atlético played as everyone predicted, but still City's advantage in the first game played its role. By the way, City are big trolls - in the second half they played according to Atlético's strategy and, if I'm not mistaken, they didn't hit a single shot on goal for the entire half, but at the same time they completely defended their own.

That match tonight against Atletico and ManCity pretty much happened exactly the way as many have predicted it including myself. Atletico was way stronger than in the first leg while ManCity played more defensively because of the result in the first leg. In the end ManCity manages to advance into the next round which is also deserved in my opinion because of the first leg but i also think that today it was totally possible for Atletico to score alone in the time between minute 70 and the end of the game they had 3 big opportunities to score but they failed to do so. As a neutral fan i hoped for an extra time but that didn't happen. ManCity was kinda lucky today but still deserves to go through.
1568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 13, 2022, 06:07:24 PM
Yesterday munich knocked out, who's next? Manchester City  Huh
I don't think so, Man City won the first leg 1-0 and the game they showed was very good, they controlled the game very well.
I even think Man City will win again in the 2nd leg even though this match will be played at Atlético Madrid because in terms of quality and the game Man City is very superior and it was clearly seen in the 1st leg.

ManCity definitely is the big favorite to advance into the next round today. They completely dominated and controlled the first leg as you already said and last week Atletico Madrid did not have a single shot on the goal of Manchester City which says all in my opinion. That being said i also think that there is no team that is better in staying calm while they are under pressure and waiting for that one important counter attack than Atletico Madrid. They were the weaker teams in many matchups in the Champions League before for example against Bayern Munich under Pep Guardiola a few years ago but they still managed to advanced.
1569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 13, 2022, 06:55:06 AM
Extremely surprised by Bayern Munchen,I never thought they would fail so miserably against a team like Villareal especially when they were playing at home and there they are like a mean goal machine, they didn't manage to score more than one goal and even conceded one.Well done to Villareal for making a monumental move and qualifying further in the Champions League,I should never underestimate any team now again in the Champions League after seeing such happenings.

Well i would not say that Bayern failed miserably in the match yesterday because they totally dominated that game and could have easily won yesterday with 3-0 or more. Villareal basically scored their goal with their first shot on the goal and that guy did not even hit the ball correctly so it was a really lucky outcome of the match yesterday for Villareal. That being said it is also true that in the first leg of this match up Villareal could have also won with 3-0 so if we are looking at both games here then i would say it is not undeserved that Villareal goes through to the next round. The performance yesterday was ok from Bayern, their performance in the first leg was miserable.
1570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are bounties dead? on: April 13, 2022, 06:51:37 AM
After running several bounty campaigns I have noticed that they only attrach bot accounts, multiple fake accounts controlled by one person or low quality accounts that can not even give adequate comments - it is not the same as it used to be back in the days in 2018. Where has all the quality crowd gone?

It is true that in the sector of the altcoin bounties it is really hard to find really good bounties nowadays. The problem is that the projects that are already in demand and that are already in the focus of investors and VC's don't really need a bounty because their private Sale and public sale will be sold out anyway. That is the reason that 95% of the altcoin bounties are from meme-coin that no one wants and no one needs or from other copy projects that are just not in demand.
That being said, from time to time there is still a good altcoin bounty available too. More than a year ago i was part of the Signature Bounty from Radix and there i earned more per week then i do now with my BTC paying bounty. So it is still possible to find good altcoin bounties in here.
1571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No condition is permanent in crypto on: April 12, 2022, 09:04:26 PM
Same Old feeling  Grin
When the Bull market comes it always feels like it's here to stay and many ends up believing that there is no such thing as a bear market.
When the Bear market comes everyone feels like it's over for crypto and no Bull market is coming again, maybe because got tired of holding on and on.
In the crypto space no condition is permanent, get ready for both sides because they are inevitable.

I also stopped listening to analysts and chart patterns a while ago because at least for me all the big movements of the market no matter if they were up or down came pretty much out of nowhere and i did not here an analyst predict them correctly. If we look at the prices today than it looks pretty bad as the price dropped quite a bit after the last few days. If we are looking at the charts for 1 months though than it becomes pretty obvious that we are still in a significantly higher price range than we were in 30 days ago. I just hope that ETH does not fall to low and can stay around 3000 USD because then it think this could still be a healthy correction.
1572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 12, 2022, 08:59:51 PM
Bayern Munchen vs Villareal
Bayern is trying their best since the start of the match till now, they have been the one attacking as expected while Villareal is defending. The plans of Villareal seem working before Lewandoski altered everything with a goal. The battle now continues and there is no much drama in this match.

Villareal was rewarded for their patience and they somehow managed to make 1 goal out of 1 big chance. Before the start of the game i would have been ok with Villareal advancing into the next round even though i am a Bayern supporter but that kind of changed during the match of today. Villareal was wasting time since the very first minute of the game and Raul Albiol for example was laying on the ground for a few minutes every time he was touched. Some would call this behavior clever, i call it pretty unfair, but it is what it is.
Today Bayern certainly was the better team and could have easily won with 3-0 but in the first leg Villareal could have also won with 3 goals or more so in the end it is not undeserved that Villareal goes through. Congrats to them.
1573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 12, 2022, 10:22:26 AM
I read on news sites that Lewandowski's move from Bayern this time is the first since he played in the Bundesliga for the first time in 2010. barcelona is lucky to get that bayern "goal-scoring machine". Lewandowski will definitely match on Aubameyang.

I also read that Lewandowski has decided for himself that he does not want to stay at Bayer Munich and instead he wants to join FC Barcelona. So far this is still just a news or a rumor from an unofficial source though and we don't know if this is really true. Even if Lewandowski wants to join Barcelona then this does not automatically mean that he will for sure leave Bayern Munich after this season. He still has a contract until the end of the next season so if Bayern Munich wants him to stay then i think there is not much that Lewandowski or Barcelona could do about that. If i would be Bayern i would let Lewandowski go though and look for a younger striker instead.
1574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Desktop wallet vs Mobile wallet on: April 12, 2022, 10:15:57 AM
Between mobile and a desktop wallet which one do you prefer the most and why? Again I think desktop wallets have more open source wallets than mobile, which desktop wallet is the best open-source wallet that you know of?

I only use desktop wallets to safe my crypto holdings that are worth mentioning. I use mobile wallets only if i have to because the project only has a mobile wallet to store your crypto or to let you register your funds or stake it or stuff like that. The reason for that is, that i still think that a Desktop PCis just safer than a phone. I have antivirus software installed on my PC and of course i don't click on suspicious links, i don't join scam airdrops and i also don't reply to scam attempts on telegram or other channels therefore i feel pretty safe with my desktop wallets. I also think that if you are having significant values on mobile wallets then you should probably use a extra phone for that because it is pretty easy to lose your everyday phone at work or when you are going out or something.
1575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 12, 2022, 08:44:56 AM
The odds for next round qualification are at 1.33 Bayern and 3.1 Villareal. I also think that the risk reward is not bad when going for Villareal. Keep in mind the last round Bayern won their home game 7-1 (after a draw in the first game) against Salzburg. Villareal will have to fight to stand a chance, but it's not impossible and they are in a better situation than Salzburg.

I am actually surprised that the bookmakers are still seeing Bayern Munich as the big favorite in this matchup after their bad performance in the first leg. I am aware that this was kind of similar in the round before against RB Salzburg where Bayern only managed to achieve a draw in the first game but then won the second leg with 7-1. I also think though that even in the second leg Salzburg had the chance to score the first goal and if that would have happened Bayern would have had real big trouble to come back from that because at the moment they are just not in a good shape at all. If Villareal plays disciplined, which i guess they will, then they have a really big chance to advance tonight.
1576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Metaverse sustain on: April 12, 2022, 08:41:22 AM
What do you think guys? The metaverse will really sustain for long?

I think that the whole metaverse trend is not really different from all those other trends and hypes that happened and will still happen in the crypto space. First there is one or two projects that pretty much come out of nowhere with a new idea and they are huge successes and make the team and the early investors really rich. Then the first wave of copycat projects comes out from which also a few are still successful but a lot of them are already failing and then in the last wave of copy projects most of the projects will fail and the hype wave will slow down. After all that hype is gone only the good projects will still be there.
I am pretty sure though that the whole metaverse topic is here to stay.
1577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 11, 2022, 05:37:38 PM
Athletico Madrid will be knocked out.
Expect nothing but winning from man city or draw.
They couldn't afford to even win Mallorca, hmmm!

I have not seen the match of Atletico vs Mallorca because i don't follow the spanish Primera Division that closely but i am pretty sure that the result of the match on saturday does not allow any conclusions to be drawn for the upcoming second leg against Manchester City. I am pretty sure that the players of Atletico were not going all out this weekend because they did not want to risk an injury which would make them miss the biggest match for them of this season so far.
Of course ManCity is still the favorite because they are simply the best team of Europe (which basically means the best team in the world) at the moment, but Atletico still has a chance.
1578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which alternative smart contract platform is best? on: April 11, 2022, 05:30:47 PM
Ever since Ethereum launched back in 2015, a plethora of smart contract platforms have taken the world by storm.
Which alternative smart contract platform do you think is the best? Is it Polygon, BNB, Cardano, or Solana? Do you think the market is saturated with too many smart contract platforms? Or is there still room for growth? Will Ethereum remain as the "King of "De-Fi"" for long? Your input will greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley

So far i have only used Ethereum, Polygon and BSC myself so i can only talk about them regarding usability and my personal experiences with them. I have to say that in the last few months i am barely using the Ethereum network anymore. The reason for that is pretty obvious, the horrendously high transaction fees on the Ethereum Network that we have to pay for many months now. It is just not feasible for a normal or a small trader that you have to pay 20$ of transaction fee if you wanna trade tokens that are worth 50$ or so.
At the moment i am mostly using the BSC because there the fees are still ok. That being said i am not a big fan of the BSC because it is a pretty blatant copy of the Eth chain. For me Ethereum will always be the king, but of course they need to get their fee issue fixed.
1579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another day, Another Lesson for those who want to learn on: April 10, 2022, 05:31:40 PM
Be careful out there newbies and all crypto fans, a few minutes ago I made a few transactions in BNB from one wallet to another and I got this
I was like, OMG 😱 it's a free APE Tokens, but then one APE is 12$ on binance exchange, how can someone send me 350 pieces for me? That's where I became even more curious, I did some Contract Address findings and I noticed this
As you can see I'm not the only winner of these 350 APE tokens, this is where I started to get angry, saying to myself that why can't it just be only me?  Grin (kidding) Lol, as I proceed in my search I ended up with this website link.
If this isn't a scam what could it be anyway?
The trick is every receiver will try to sell and that's when you will be f**ked up, in this crypto haven nothing comes for free, you have to work your ass up to make some gains and rewards, go after only what you sweat and worked for.

The crypto space is still full of opportunities and it is still possible to make a x100 of your initial investment withing a relatively short amount of time, if you are very lucky and invest into the right projects. That being said it is also part of the truth and the whole picture that the crypto space is also full of shillers or so called influencers that are dumping tokens that they get for free on their followers after they have shilled that token to them and of course it is also full of scams and bad people that want to steal your money.
Especially on the BSC we see a lot of scam tokens recently because the transaction fee there is really low and you can send your scam token to a lot of people without having to pay a lot of transaction fees.
1580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 10, 2022, 05:27:00 PM
And yes we have seen the quick changes made by Klopp with the opening goal equalizing the points. This will be increasingly fierce and both teams will both show the high quality of competitiveness. Man City is now starting to try not to follow Liverpool's path. Sadio Mane started the goal really well, so I'm sure the final score will be even more difficult to predict.

I don't watch to many Premier League matches live in a season but of course this important match i just had to watch too and it really was a pretty exciting match to watch. I think that overall Liverpool is pretty lucky that the final result is a draw as Manchester City was the better team in my opinion and they also did more for the game. Especially in the first half Liverpool looked extremely nervous and if ManCity would have been more consequent and efficient then the match could have already been over after the first leg but ManCity only managed to score 2 goals out of many chances. The good thing is that the race for the title is still completely open now.
