Spoke to Adrian yesterday and he is currently looking into possibly moving to a less energy hungry/heat generating algorithm such as X11.  Nothing 100% but he is looking into it.

A good way to secure the network whilst keeping GPU miners happy could be to move to a Myriad style multi-algorithm. That would be my vote  Smiley

Yes that would be ideal but a lot more difficult to implement:)

Just exited VOOT. I like this coin, but it's really shaky at the moment. Looks like MintPal won't be adding it today.

It's the exact opposite of shaky and Mintpal not adding it can only be a good thing.  You exited at the worst point.  Good luck panic buying when it shoots up again.

I wasn't talking to anyone in particular. If you don't want to pass along a simple message then don't.

If you're spamming a forum with your crappy site then don't be surprised if people comment.  You should at least have the common sense to realise that the developers are busy with important things behind the scenes so begging them to respond to you just seems desperate.  Also if you are expecting developers to respond to you at least have a site that looks professional.  As it is being listed on your site would if anything be a minus point for any currency. If you are expecting some sort of a handout in return for a recommendation then look elsewhere - this is not a P&D scamcoin.

gonna jump back on this coin and grab a few

Welcome back.  We need more people.  Difficulty is very low- so definitely worth mining.

Just got the wallet and boy it runs smooth.

Gotta say thats one of the first coins this year, next to darkcoin and nxt maybe, that brings real value to the table.

Also if you are recommending people hold LTC - it's hard to take anything you do seriously.

Could somebody in this forum, please send word to the Dev's to contact me.
I have had numerous requests to Rate this Coin.

They are busy obviously.  Why not spend the time you wait sorting out your site's design?

Crypto Analytics has been asked to Rate MIN for Business Plan and Growth Coin.

We have reached out to the Developer and will rate this Coin soon

I guess your page is new... I don't agree with all your status for the coins, and I think something happens with the fonts... but good luck with the project, I think it can be interested.

Yeah I'd get someone with professional design experience or saving that someone with a good eye to look over it as it looks incredibly amateur and the design is awful.  These kind of things make a big difference to how seriously you are taken.
2529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MIN] Minerals - POS. Fair Distribution Cryptocurrency on: July 03, 2014, 09:04:36 PM
So, once Dogecoin is on a horrible slowly, sadistic Dead,  can Minerals take that spot?

Once?  I thought it had already been doing that.  I would rather Minerals took a different spot though.  Doge was never really worth very much anyway and was started as a joke.

Had a bike accident 3 days ago... I have no broken bones ( that's a miracle) only bruises and a significant laceration on my left arm and and under left eye.

I will help as soon as I can...

Hope all is well now.  You can't be too careful.  Bikes are very risky.  My best friend from school days died a few years back after a bike accident (he was only in his early twenties).

Seriously man, taking it way too seriously. Your original statement is correct, as is my implied modification. Basically you're right, the extra steps will prevent them from following through on purchasing a coin. I follow up with the qualifier that this is because the additional steps in turn make it difficult, thus implying that if it is easier to access (ease of access being key here) means it will be more likely we see more new crypto-traders.

I basically provided a supporting statement including a qualifier, I don't know why you would take offense to that. I apologize if you think my way in doing so was disrespectful though. (I try to be respectful whenever possible, but some things may not come off that way.)

Apologies I might have taken it the wrong way.  No hard feelings:)

Chill out guys  Cheesy We've had 139 pages of solid, constructive discussion so far. No need to get into an argument of semantics on an international forum Smiley

You're right.  I just don't like some bullying pedant trying to put words in my mouth.  It's incredibly disrespectful.

Thus making it DIFFICULT, and last I checked a qualifying antonym to "difficult" is "easy".

Go fuck yourself mate. I meant what I said.  If you can't understand that stay out of it.

You mean stopping them from making EASY transactions.

No I meant exactly what I said.  Who knows how many transactions that could occur are stopped from occurring because people can't be bothered with all the stupid anti-money laundering measures.
2535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: July 03, 2014, 03:23:01 PM
Ultimately the fact still remains. No matter who you go through they will still have due diligence. For fiat exchange that is

That's why those stupid laws need changing.  They aren't stopping any of the big criminals from money laundering they're just stopping regular people and small businesses from making transactions.

Who are the developers of this coin ? Do they have a website ? This is my first time on this thread

Lol people are so lazy:)

Crypto-t: re. change of algo.

Anything that reduces heat and energy use must be a good thing. Using fewer resources means less cost = more profit. I don't know much about the different algos but x11 seems popular, I see there are other x** algos too, are these worth looking at or are they just more complication!? Changing the algo could also enable a re-launch, refresh, re-whatever to further invigorate GBC and popularise the coin.

Soul-eater: re. Multipool idea.

An excellent idea, setting one up is outside my abilities too. Can we get GBC on to an existing multipool? Which ones might be worth contacting, especially once GBC is on the exchanges.

Not really sure.  Am doing a bit of research on it.  One of the things I have come up against is resistance to taking up a coin that is still in POW and directly mine-able (if that's a word).  Will need to look into it more.

This is possible, I believe other coins have also changed algo, would people prefer to have X11?

It won't make any difference to coin amount or production time just heat generated etc.

If there's enough interest I will start looking at the code to change it.

I just sent you another email.  Have some people asking why POW would continue if there was a multipool, their point being that it should perhaps switch to a POS only model first.  I can see where they are coming from.  Total coins etc would stay the same, only the method of production would change.  Would also help to garner more attention.
