It would have been pretty cool if the ICO period was less & RISE could have been launched before LISK, that would have been interesting!!  That's exactly what I was saying in my post. Like it or not people will think of this as a LISK clone. Launching it after the LISK ICO is over and so close to LISK coming out seems like poor planning, particularly since LISK may actually be out before the RISE ICO ends. Add that to the fact there are some huge icos (WAVES and DAO) going on at the same time and it's a recipe for raising very little attention and hence a low amount of BTC being raised. Anyway we'll see what happens. |

Definitly there are some 1% and stil waiting for joe and sally jump on the train. You dont need $10 Mill. to put in a coin to have a value of $10 Mill. You will need a certain amount for sure, but not the $10 Mill. So it can continue like that, if the people see the value inside the coin.
Waves is a completely waste of time. Its having dubios structure of people involved. SuperNet, Coinomat Scam and other dead assets devs want to cash out fast. I would not put a dime in it, and i can predict alot of people will lose money. Hopefully just enough they can afford to lose.
Lisk is for sure a good bet to buy on the release, everybody can say.
You hate Waves yet you are giving free BJs to Lisk and DAO? Note I'm not dissing those projects I just don't understand your irrational fear of Waves and yet your absolute belief in those other projects which are just as unproven. It makes no sense. |

Not sure why people keep saying the more btc that gets dumped into waves, the higher the price of each wave will be. Yes, that is maybe true but if you guys really think each wave is worth $1 minimum, wouldn't having more waves be better? The higher the price of each wave is when launched, the harder it is to make a nice profit on it. It is much easier for the price of a coin to double or triple from 1 cent than from 1 dollar. Anyways, that's my opinion and there's really nothing anyone can do about people investing in waves. It is what it is. Good luck all.

how much did you raise so far?
We are working on updating the website to reflect where we are at ongoing. At present we are sitting at just over $26k without any promotion as of yet. Shouldn't promotion start before an ICO?  |

I think is better buy DAO directly of daos site. More secure and instant buy. Buy before the 15 of May and get promo. After this the price gonna grow and pass to 1.5eth/100dao tokens
That's usually the recommended option but some people aren't used to using the Mist Wallet or their wallet is out of date and they don't want the hassle of waiting for it to catch up with the blockchain. |

If the business goes well, you can make at least 50% profit by buying the token early. but if it is not well, you will lose more.
Not really I'm talking about short term profits. It will be ages before the business launches. You are more likely to make money by converting all your Ether to DAO tokens now and cashing some of them out during the likely pump when trading starts. There will always be people who missed out on the ICO or heard about it too late and FOMO will mean that they are desperate to buy at whatever price when the tokens first hit the exchanges. That combined with the enormous hype and huge whale investments is almost certain to cause a huge initial pump. It's not guaranteed but it as close as you get with crypto - it is always a gamble obviously but this is less of a gamble than most. |

I'm putting all of mine into the DAO. There is virtually zero risk of losing ether this way (they can always be exchanged back) and with the amount of funds going in to the DAO and the hype surrounding it there is likely to be a monumental pump when the tokens are finally released.
Also since the tokens will be being sold at a rate of 1.5 ether : 100 DAO tokens at the end of the sale, we can comfortably take this as the base price for the tokens. For those that bought in early that means an instant x 1.5 in value. This is before even taking into consideration the massive business potential for the first DAO/Slockit and the potential money raised - the minimum proposal is that the DAO gets 1% of all transactions.
So overall I don't see anything to be gained by not converting all my ether to DAO. If something completely amazing and unexpected does happen that I desperately need ether for (which is highly unlikely but lets just imagine it does), I can simply sell a few of my DAO after 28th May and get some ether, or bitcoin or whatever else for that matter.

Wanted to invest to it lately but found out about how to buy DAO and seem like they recommend ETH - I move away after learning it since it don't have ETH.
And seem a hassle buying with bitcoin, it looks like they've partner with the rest like ETH and gatecoin which is good though but still I only have multibit and an online wallet blockchain.

It's obvious you don't understand how the DAO works so why did you want to buy it in the first place? You definitely should not be investing if you can't even be bothered to find out what you are investing in. DAO is based on ether and the ethereum blockchain so obviously it has to be created using ether. I don't see why this would be an obstacle to anyone. If you don't have ether, buy some ether. You can buy it on Bittrex or any of the other exchanges where it is traded. If you can't be bothered with a regular exchange Shapeshift ( https://shapeshift.io/) makes it even more straightforward. You would have to be monumentally lazy to pass up the opportunity of making money just because you can't be bothered to exchange some BTC to ether first. |

Market is looking a bit unhealthy. I suspect we'll be dropping below $1.00/FCT short term. Long term I'm of course bullish.
Big fall before the big climb. M2 on the approach. Bitcoin history may be repeat. That's the problem - people assume everything will move up constantly in a linear fashion. Instead of seeing price falls as a good chance to buy, they buy at the top and then panic sell at the bottom. |

what are DAO use for?
They are tokens for a Decentralised Autonomous Organisation and grant the holder certain rights within the DAO entity. It's like a new company where the token holders get to choose what it invests in and get rewarded as part of the investment. It's similar in some respects to a venture capital company but there has never strictly been anything else exactly like it before. im confused by this. I tried it... I went to https://www.bittrex.com/balance/daothen selected 48 ETH then transfer. Then nothing happened lol where is my DAO tokens kept in reccord. In my wallets my DAO value is zero. I think I just wasted 1 Bitcoin here. DAMN. It's not in your wallet. It will be on the same page where you create the DAO tokens and you need to wait some time before it will appear (where it says "Step 3 Validate Your Balance"). The tokens will only be available to trade after the DAO creation period (28th May at the earliest). If you still think there has been some sort of error submit a support ticket to Bittrex and they will be able to help you out. |

When will Ether blocksize be half? bitcoin are around 10-12 weeks, but when are Ether ? It won't. There is no block halving like Bitcoin although this may change in the future. |

waves could be dangerous. alot of people were liking the deal with mycelium, but i would not trust it. i guess its a backdoor deal to make waves worthless. It a conspiracy, a clear one, like the apollo mission, which was made in a hollywood studio. its like the 9/11 an inside job of destruction.
I guess the waves developer are at the end, that they are announcing now this deal. its too late and its too obvious a troyan horse to destroy waves from within.

if yes, which jurisdiction?
This is a matter of some debate and I don't think a firm decision has been made yet as the idea is that it doesn't have to be (obviously that presents a certain amount of problems). It's best to search this topic on the DAOhub forums ( https://daohub.org/forums.html) because I think there has already been a bit of discussion there about it. |
