2541  Economy / Speculation / Re: I thought btc would go down 5% today.... on: July 27, 2019, 12:16:54 AM
My target is +$100,000 before the end of the block halving that will cut the rewards to 3.125BTC per block. I rather remain a bit conservative with my predictions and be surprised by how much more we have gone up.
This is a perfect conservative prediction  Wink Cheesy, you expect a 400 plus growth in the price around block halving and in any economic terms it is an outrageous prediction to see a 400% growth in a short period of time and that is the real difference between bitcoin and the rest of the financial investments, no one can hope for having a price increase like that in any investment class in the market and so is the reason financial institutions will enter this market in the coming future as no one can neglect a cash cow like bitcoin .
2542  Economy / Economics / Re: Zimbabwe government trying to push for new Zimbabwe Dollar - Surprised? on: July 26, 2019, 10:13:36 PM
in my opinion the condition of Zimbabwe is a terrible economic situation. and no one helped just to seek profit from Zimbabwe's economic difficulties. slowly Zimbabwe will be a sad country. just like Brazil but Brazil can rise by itself. there should be a global organization that can help economic conditions, especially developing countries.
I bet you have no idea what you are talking about, you cannot even compare the current economic situation to Brazil, politics and corruption destroyed them a long time back and they even banned foreign currency thinking that they could regain some control over their own currency.
As long as the corrupt government is gone i do not expect any kind of reform and none can help them regain from their debt from the situation they are in, they just showed the entire world how a government should not perform and destroy the entire country.

2545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CWC2019 Prediction Pool - Win x BTC [Additional prize in every round] on: July 09, 2019, 07:47:51 PM
It seems to me that such situations happen in different sports and they are really unfair.  It seems to me that in some cases you need to change the rules to take into account weather conditions.  We are watching the competition teams, and not on the actions of people in extreme conditions.
I am a true soccer fan and nothing will stop the game play whether it is rain or snow the match continues, cricket is not a one dimensional sport and weather will play a significant role in the outcome of the match and hence to find a balance is very difficult. The good news is that the play will continue tomorrow from where it is interrupted as they have a reserve day, but the intricacies that comes if tomorrow is also affected by rain is a hard puzzle for me to understand because of the probability factor and it is just a fictitious calculation  Grin.
2546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Cafe on: July 09, 2019, 07:10:07 PM
In Bangladesh, people are not allowed to use bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. Govt has declared it illegal. The great news is our current Finance Ministry is thinking over it and we will probably be seen Bitcoin legal in the coming years.
In Dhanmondi, there's a cafe namely "The Bitcoin Cafe". Although they don't accept bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency, I see it as a great way of promotion, people will learn more about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. I have visited this cafe 2 times and asked to pay with Bitcoin but he wasn't agreed.
If a country bans bitcoin then there is no way anyone could fight against that on a public domain and if your government can understand the true inception of bitcoin then they might rethink on what to do with the market if they fully understand the change required in the current market structure and the importance of a decentralized digital currency, i am not sure whether the cafe you are talking about is advertising bitcoin but it will be certainly be a niche cafe and a news grabber for coming up with the unorthodox niche that is not that familiar in your country.
2547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please read my story on: July 09, 2019, 04:38:33 PM
My mother says that what goes around comes around in medicine. Because the ticker of the bitcoin resembles the cigarettes in the Eastern europe, bitcoin is bad.  One can get intoxicated by simply reading the bitcoin ticker BTC.

90% of the people in this world do not know what bitcoin is. It is sufficient for them to come to you smoking, believing that they make you a good thing. You will become afraid of them. I experienced myself this fear.
I am not sure what you are trying to imply here, whether you have some psychological issue which is to be sorted because you have a deep wound from child birth  Tongue. Economics is all about profit and hope you have heard about Altria, Philip Morris International, British American Tobacco, Imperial Brands, Turning Point Brands, these are tobacco companies listed in the stock exchanges and what makes you think it is a negative sign  Roll Eyes. No one is forcing anyone to invest in bitcoin and it all comes to individual decisions whether you want to invest in it or not, if you think it a bad thing, never invest in it, it is a simple process to take decisions for a normal human but not sure if you have some psychological scars  Wink.

But today you made a strange post
He might have done that to increase his post count during that time  Cheesy.
2548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CWC2019 Prediction Pool - Win x BTC [Additional prize in every round] on: July 09, 2019, 03:15:53 PM
If it would be a regular match then Bhomra had two overs left and it would be very hard for New Zealand to score from his overs. DLS also sucks it's no where perfect in my opinion.
It is a tough spot as rain has played a major role in this tournament and if New Zealand would have played India in the league stages and if India defeated them Pakistan would have being in the semi finals instead of New Zealand and i never understood the DLS method till now and if India have to chase 237 runs and with the wet ground it will be difficult for the batsmen to score easily and it is not a fair situation and there is no other alternative situation to figure out in these situations is a bummer.

2549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Serious question about Bitcoin. Is it a reliable and stable investment? on: July 09, 2019, 01:31:10 PM
I mentioned to them that bitcoin is a possible alternative and one they can look into. Do you agree? Do you guys consider bitcoin a reliable and stable investment for long term holding(5-10yrs)? Is it safe to assume the only direction(barring a few dips here and there) bitcoin will eventually go from here is up? Do you foresee it going below $10K, or even $9K ever again? Is it even possible to see the lows we saw a few months ago(ie $3500) ever again?
I will never advice anyone to invest into bitcoin if they are not interested in the market, if they are willing to learn about the market and can do everything on their own then it is a good thing, if not never advice anyone as they could sell the coins when they see a deep correction and then put the entire blame on you for their loss because of their foolishness as i have my experience advising others.
Bitcoin is not a stable market but in the long run the price will reach new levels but you can expect a correction anytime and hence there is no guarantee that the price wont go below $9k.
2550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CWC2019 Prediction Pool - Win x BTC [Additional prize in every round] on: July 09, 2019, 12:53:36 PM
Is this another world cup semi final where NZ will lose ?
NZ is the only country whom have played WC semi finals most number of times. Why NZ comes to the Semi finals and lose every time.  Undecided
It has being the legacy of New Zealand to reach the semi final and then loose out and they only reached the final once and by the way things are going they will be loosing this one too as India is bowling really well and just 5 overs to go and they reached just 200 runs and India have the team to chase anything below 250 even in seaming conditions.

@OP missed the prediction pool will be joining next time .

EDIT:
Four years in the line however if I am still alive then sure, I will welcome you :-D
I have seen your earlier prediction pool and this is your second pool this year and hence i said i will be joining your next pool and off course i might join your prediction pool for the next world cup if you are not hit by an Asteroid  Tongue Cheesy.
2551  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Is Likely to Hit $100,000 by End of 2021 Says Anthony Pompliano on: July 09, 2019, 12:06:11 PM
That’s why i always make my own prediction, which is more realistic and no one will judge me. Another guy who made a huge prediction, let’s hope that those predictions made by big celebrities will happen this is for the benefit of whole market.
There is nothing wrong in making a wild prediction and keeping with yourself  Tongue Everyone can make their prediction and later say to the world that they predicted the price earlier and there is no doubt that the price of bitcoin will reach those valuation in the future, but getting to those valuation in the next rally is a huge task and as Wind_FURY pointed out it is a matter of when we reach those valuation and it is hard to pin point when we will reach those dream valuations. Realistically i do not expect the price to reach $100000 during this rally.

thing about the competition is that you don't have to be winner , you can make a lot of points but you can also lose a lot of other bets
so winning that  competition doesn't mean that the winner is a profitable gambler  Wink
I do not expect you to be god to understand and predict every match correctly, even the establish gamblers who play it as a career can win and predict around 45% accurately even with all the calculation and time they invested in those area  Wink Cheesy. Winning 1BTC is a huge amount and i am sure you never burned that much to get that. What i meant was there were many tipsters earlier but now none are active now and if you could start one tipster thread it would be a good addition as it will be double fun for everyone here too Wink.

Every hour, click "Free Dogecoin" get from 0.5 to 1.0 doge Cool
I understand your promotion but i would like to see your response regarding the doubts posted by the users here, if you are trying to neglect their queries it will not end up good as we need transparency in order to people try out something new let alone trusting anyone to invest their coins with a shady behavior by ignoring to clear up things.
2554  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why was $13,800 unsustainable? on: July 08, 2019, 11:40:25 PM
Buying at the right time is the difference between 1BTC and 2BTC. There is no doubt in my mind that 5 years from now bitcoin will be worth significantly more. The question is in 5 years would you rather have 1 bitcoin or 2?

I give people the information they need to get 2 instead of 1,

Aaron
I specifically did not understand what this is all about, i understand that the difference between a huge profit and minimal is the time in which you invest and the time in which you exit, if you are smart individual who has more knowledge about making money from thin air, why don't you start a new thread and post all your research material regarding it  Tongue.

@OP The price of bitcoin is trying to break through another resistance and it failed and it is not a new thing, every time the price tries to break certain resistance points it wont succeed most of the time and yet again the market will try to valuation again in the next week or so by the speed in which the market broke many resistance level in the past.
2555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Willy Woo Reclaims “Bitcoin Will Surely Strike $1 Trillion Market Cap by the Sta on: July 08, 2019, 10:52:53 PM
Willy Woo has asserted that Bitcoin is on track to strike the $1 trillion market cap in its current cycle.
It is not a big surprise that the next rally would take the market to the one trillion market cap and the bitcoin market is just beginning its journey as the rest of the financial investment market are well above the trillion mark and i hope it will sustain those levels for the long run after reaching those milestones, it is an interesting time for the market and time will tell whether all our predictions were true  Wink. From zero to billion and the next target is trillion.
2556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Woman Travels to 7 Different Countries in 12-Week.Challenge using only Crypto on: July 08, 2019, 10:35:06 PM
Her 12-weeks challenge spending crypto paying hotels, restaurants and shoppings is really difficult because bitcoin is bullish at the moment she is travelling.
You never expect every place to accept bitcoin at this point but she can find places where bitcoin is accepted but i am not sure what you mean by the difficulty she is going through because of the bullish trend  Huh. If a merchant accepts bitcoin what is the difficult if the market trend is bullish  Roll Eyes.
The only difficulty will be finding more places where you can spend your coins, i will not take up a challenge like that if i am travelling as i need to relax and enjoy the ride rather than straining myself while travelling, it is a good publicity stunt by that lady  Grin.
2557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does Warren Buffett hate bitcoin? on: July 08, 2019, 09:31:26 PM
If you understand the evolution of money and tulip investing, it all makes sense.
Why is everyone so adamant that Warren needs to understand and learn about bitcoin, he is an old person to understand the changing technology and in his experience he never saw anything like that and since he made all his money in the financial market he could not understand the logic behind a decentralized economy and you cannot blame or take a old mans word seriously  Tongue.
2558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Dominance on CoinMarketCap on: July 08, 2019, 08:54:48 PM
Considering there are thousands of coins and tokens out there, what sort of dominance should Bitcoin have which shows that even though it remains the dominant force there is still a lot of space for others to narrow the gap?
No other coin will overtake nor will narrow down the gap of bitcoin dominance, ten years from now you will not see many of these coins in the market place and yet you will see bitcoin dominating all the way, we would see more centralized coins being chunked out in the next few years as corporates would take this opportunity to come up with their version of cryptocurrency, but nothing will topple bitcoin.
2559  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: July 08, 2019, 07:30:24 PM
posting to confirm that I got the 1 BTC from Copa America leaderboard and it's already in my wallet
again thanks a lot FJ for this great competition , never imagined I can win that much with a promotion  Smiley
but for some reason the freebets for both semi final and final weren't credited so that's 130 mbtc in freebets but support told me I will get an answer tomorrow regarding them
Looks like you are a legendary sports fan who always predict the match correctly and i have heard about your exploits and winning 1BTC through a promotion is incredible and it is a promotion for fortunejack too as i will be trying my luck in their next promotions  Wink. Hopefully you will start a tipster thread and i am sure many will be following you and let minnows like me learn from your experience  Grin.
Congrats on the win.
2560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Change Bitcoin to Asic Resistant on: July 08, 2019, 05:08:24 PM
But all you will get back from the community is nonsense that Bitcoin is most secure due to it's energy waste,
which we both know is incorrect , as a few pool operators could double-spend on a whim, regardless of energy expended.

Good Luck , but don't be surprised when the bitcoin maximalist all deny the reality in front of them.  Smiley
Are you telling that these pool operators will kill the golden goose, not everyone will be that stupid as they have invested millions for mining and their aim is to make profit and we have ten years of history now with bitcoin can you showcase one instance that the pools did anything of that sort to jeopardize the entire network. I am sure you will not have an answer for that  Tongue.

What are your opinions on whether bitcoins mining algorithm should change to an asic resistant algorithm?
Based on Bitcoins principle to be a decentralized currency, shouldn't this be adopted?
It's only viable to mine bitcoin with asic hardware and that's kinda centralized with whoever
has more money to invest in these machines.
Not everyone needs to mine bitcoin to be a decentralized currency, equality is not attained everywhere in society and that is how it functions, so the idea of everyone running a node in their basement is a joke, if you are willing to support the network spend some dime to do so rather than having a complete change in the process.
