1563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trying to recover funds from bitcoin scam on: July 01, 2020, 01:54:00 AM
The payment is to be made into this BTC address:  14hBpJncS6fqKZqoYAjRCGmbc63ZhLJ6Xs

Is this another scam? Any insight would greatly be appreciated.
Social media and telegram groups are filled with scammers and they are waiting for people who post doubt about lost coins or when your coins are stuck in the exchange and the audacity to cook up a story that could scam innocent people who are not aware of these situation.

The wallet belongs to Luno and i have reported the user and hopefully we will get a reply from them and he as collected over 7 bitcoin and still holding 1.7 bitcoin in the wallet.
1564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC bottom is yet to come??? on: June 30, 2020, 11:59:29 PM
The halving bitcoin event has passed and your prediction has been proven not to occur at that time and although next year will be a year of bull run but I'm not sure there will be events for such a deep decline to below 5k, but if it becomes the last decline before bullish at least just touch the bottom at around 7k or maybe it won't happen at all.
Looking at the present market situation we are not going to see the price going below $7400 even if we see a good correction but things might change if the stock market starts falling and if the economic crisis catches up as some of the economist are predicting then we might see some major damages in the market if not then we are not going to see that kind of major decline, we are waiting for the price to break the present resistance level above $10k and hopefully we could see the rally before the economic crisis catches up.
1565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shitcoins unite! on: June 30, 2020, 11:40:43 PM
I realized today that even thought many Altcoins are total shitcoins, all of them have an ambitious dev team behind them that must understand the blockchain business to some extent. Therefore I call on to all the devs of impotent shitcoins to unite for a quest of more utility for their cryptos and stop being shitcoins! Upgrade your blockchains! Switch to a more existing algorithm. Slice max supply. Add real utility like storage or bandwidth or both! You can do it! Contact me if you want to know more.
There is only one theme in common, to make money before the regulations are in place and so is the reason you see many people jumping into the cryptocurrency bandwagon to make the maximum profit either in the form of investing or in the name of projects so that they could raise money and then dump the coins and move on to other things, do not expect anything different from these shitcoin devs.
1566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: June 30, 2020, 10:39:08 PM
Public losing trust on Wilder?
If a fighter is refusing to accept defeat and start blaming on his outfit you think that the public would rally behind that fighter. Wilder was too confident in his punching power and he was arrogant moving up the division and everyone was banking on his knockout capability and Fury showed that punching power does not actually mean anything if you are not having technique and how can anyone vouch for Wilder after watching two fights.
1567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of fake gold backed tokens on: June 30, 2020, 10:09:38 PM
These are examples of real life gold companies, stand for the truth and stop promoting or patronizing unrealistic crypto projects
The halving happened and everyone who has witnessed the past halving knows how the market will rally after every halving and you should expect many scammers lining up to create fake projects to defraud people. I am not a fan of stable coins as the details they provide cannot be trusted as i cannot personally verify unless a third party investigates the truth and it will take time. Verify where you invest your funds and it is better to spend sometime verifying rather than being sorry at a later time.

~
I am also sure that Jose Aldo will win the battle with Petr Yan, besides having the strength of deadly muay thai. I read the preparatory article
several times by Jose Aldo who was more prepared to face the battle with Petr Yan. Even so Petr Yan's attacking style is also quite frightening,
so Jose Aldo will not easily defeat Petr Yan.
If Jose Aldo could make the weight without taking away much of his energy then he can defeat anyone, Conor McGregor fight was really different with all the mind games and that was main reason Aldo wanted to kick his ass without understanding the gameplan of McGregor and once he launched to attack Conor countered with a perfect left but Petr Yan is yet to fight someone like Aldo and if he overcomes the battle then he will go a long way.

~
Maybe because he is in a streak of 9 win he is about to get a title fight ? Champ is Moraes (Cejudo retired from bantamweight) and Sterling has only 4 win streak.
Aldo and Cejudo was supposed to fight and because of the pandemic that fight was dropped and i see Sterling more deserving of the title shot and i would not mind him against Aldo rather than Yan, Moraes needs to win some fights to get back in the title contention.
1569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 30, 2020, 07:19:28 PM
Once England and West Indies series take place successfully many doubt and fears will be vanished and there might be a great chance that rest of the tournaments including the T20 World cup will commence on time and as per the schedule. A lot would depend on how the series between England and West Indies progresses.
It is not a good thing to give emphasis on a single tournament and then decide whether to continue with cricket, if the tournament is not having the testing standards then we might see players getting infected, Soccer started and till now it is going smooth while the players who participated in  the Adria tour conducted by Djokovic suffered from the virus spread because the standard was not there and hence you cannot emphasis on a single tournament.
1570  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving economy at the cost of what? on: June 29, 2020, 10:58:09 PM
Starting again with a new normal life will provide an opportunity for everyone to restart their lives and their economy. The company will be re-operated and workers will return to work for money that will support them.
The problem is what happens if the company is in debt so that they cannot restart the work again after a three month layoff and i am sure many companies are facing that situation, i am not talking about multinational companies but small and medium sectors and they will find it diffcult to restart the work and the people who work in those places suddenly have no job and the question would be, will be government help in reducing their debt and funding them and most of the time it is highly unlikely the government will bail these small and medium industries.

The most important thing is to maintain yourself by always maintaining cleanliness, using masks and according to the protocol set. The economy will recover if we together try to rebuild it.
It is not that easy to revive the economy because the debt starts increasing and what will the government do to ignore that, pump more money and what happens is inflation if they keep on printing and pumping money, maintaining a healthy diet and using mask is one thing you need to follow but it would have been great if we followed that from the start.
1571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can a corrupt team cook a blockchain? on: June 29, 2020, 10:40:10 PM
I know behind the scenes at the code level (or maybe node level) there is a lot of control a developer can have.   Is it possible for a corrupt team to make it that only certain people are getting stakes?
Which coin you are talking about, it is possible with POS and hope everyone is able to view the disablity it can cause to the entire structure if a corrupted team is behind the system, it will create a monopoly when everyone is talking about decentralization and you cannot have a fair system with staking.

I stake about 12 coins (Neblio, Mintcoin, Noblecoin, CompoundCoin, VersionCoin, TruckCoin, HoboNickels, Stronghands, Mintcoin, Elite (was 1337), InflationCoin, Bottlecaps, Stackbit,  BitcoinTalkCoin, Stackbit, RAIN, OverpoweredCoin, and Proof of Stake coin), and these kinds of wallet maintenance tasks sometimes have to be put off until I have time
How is the profit you are getting staking these coins, i am not doing it anymore as the coins i did in the past died off and the monopoly system that was around it and since you are doing it i would like to the profit level you are making.
1572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: June 29, 2020, 10:18:46 PM
I'm very interested in Petr Yan vs. José Aldo fight. Based on Russian youtube videos, Yan is called one of the best strikers (but I don't agree) in his division. Aldo is a deadly muay thai. This fight gonna be non stop strikes exchange and would definitely get a fight of the night award, if there were no belt fights in the card.
Petr Yan is yet to face any top fighters and i am surprised he is fighting for the title because there is no lack of a solid contender for the title and defeating Urijah Faber is not a worthy contender to get a title shot as he was coming back after a gap and i am expecting Jose Aldo as a worthy opponent and looking at the odds i am going with Aldo to win the fight.
1573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Vietnam bursts an illegal casino who used to handle bets worth $3 billions on: June 29, 2020, 09:35:19 PM
The mere use of the word 'illegal' is only defined by governments. In the case outlined in the OP the players must have been harmed more than the platform. Imagine how many players would have lost money on that 'bust'.
As long as you are living in a society governed by a set of rules you are bound to follow the rules, the situation here is that they were crediting people who are not having money to gamble and pushing them to debt that cannot be sorted out and that is not an enviornment any government would want and may be that is the reason they were busted as things were getting out of hand if not they would have paid off everyone to sort these situation as it was a billion dollar business.

The government could have taxed the earnings of the casino and would have been better off long term. Instead they opted to be short sighted to seize the large sum of money, seize everything and force the casino to shut down. This is exactly why governments shouldn't be trusted.
I think this is a good example of why the robustness BTC can offer to players and platforms should not be underestimated.
This is not even a reason to hate the government, you need to have regulation and the gamling house should not steal your money and for that you need to have a legal body to monitor everything, if you trust in fairness then you will not find it hard and paying off after getting caught is not always a great solution.
1574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why did dogecoin survive? on: June 29, 2020, 08:08:55 PM
to be honest, I wonder how until today dogecoin manages to stay in the 34 position of coinmarketcap and other more useful altcoins are in a position far below dogecoin. What motivates people to buy dogecoin? I wonder about that. In the past I used to collect dogecoin on faucets and then switched to bitcoin and playing dice was more like fun for me. But if I think like an investor I wouldn't buy dogecoin
The answer to this is simply the use case of dogecoin where some of the major gambline sites accepts them to gamble and the low transaction fees is another factor and those who are new to the cryptocurrency space have a coin that will help them to understand how to store the coin in their own wallet and dogecoin is a perfect coin for all those because of the low valuation. Dogecoin might not be a speculative coin but the price rises once in a while when the altcoin market rises.

1576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 28, 2020, 11:45:53 PM
The public chaos is none but a chaos; as said they are posting video on tiktok to boycott Chinese product using Chinese Mobile  Cheesy These will never be a problem with IPL unless some more serious condition arises and India put some ban on trades with China.
That is funny, asking to boycott Chinese products using Chinese products and TikTok is also a Chinese company  Cheesy. Is there any Indian mobile phone brands that does not have Chinese manufacturing units and i highly doubt those, if India starts boycotting the products the same can be done by China when it comes to exporting manufactured goods to India and if that happens then electronic products will become expensive as you can only get Chinese electronic items for cheaper rates.

I saw an article today about possible venues for the IPL and the Caribbean is the choice it was given espcially in Barbados and then Saint Kitts and Nevis and the West Indies cricket board will accept any offeres from the BCCI and majority of the players are from these region playing in the IPL, so if BCCI wants to conduct the tournament it is possible to move to these countries like they did in the past when they moved to South Africa .
1577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: June 28, 2020, 11:17:03 PM
Has anyoone checked odds for July 11th and UFC 251 fight Island Kamaru Usman vs. Gilbert Burns?
Temping to make a bet on Kamaru win the fight, as well as Holloway against Volkanovski.
Even champ Khabib Nurmagomedov agrees with me Smiley
I am also going with Kamaru Usman to retain his belt but it will be a great battle because of his wrestling credentials and Glibert Burns for his ground and submission skills but i think Kamaru usman is a bit stronger and could out perform him but in the case of Max Holloway not sure how he will rectify the flaws he had in the first fight and Volkanovski is a tough fight and over 2.5 rounds will be a good bet.
1578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A lot of Americans still don't know what Bitcoin is on: June 28, 2020, 10:45:19 PM
Personally the youths are reacting so well to Bitcoin and no wonder why because most of them are coders, devs or even working in IT or doing financial or economy studies or simply are not afraid of new currencies/assets.
It is true that majority of the bitcoiners are from the finance or IT sector and then the young generation who are trying to find resources to make money online are there in the market especially in the social media and the advertisement sector to promote projects in this space and moreover it is a new market space and it is not that strange.
1579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 28, 2020, 06:49:11 PM
Either they can extend it to December 2021, or they can cut short the championship. But then extending the championship may add another set of complexities, as the second edition is supposed to start from July 2021.
There is nothing complex here, all they have to do is extend the lost time period and then extend the second edition and these are not situations that occur regularly and these are global situation you need to adjust according to the situation and to have a fair situation the ICC will extend the Test championship rather than cutting short the matches which is not going to be fair for all the teams.
1580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: June 28, 2020, 05:47:28 PM
Some fans are saying that Hooker should be the winner but I barely agree because Porier is always on the offensive mode and got guillotine and arm bar attempts as well. Maybe the opposite happened if Hooker finished him on round 2 Cheesy.
The first two rounds was madness and the number of strikes landed is really huge and then they could not maintain that kind of crazy pace for the last three rounds and it was incredible to see Dustin Poirier edging in the third round and then the last two rounds belong to Dustin Poirier and i did not expect the fight to be this crazy and after seeing the first two rounds i thought Poirier would loose and this could be the fight of the year.
