2541  Economy / Economics / Re: World economy, what do you think? on: November 05, 2019, 06:04:32 PM
How much, in your opinion, has international relations influenced the world economy and what do you think about it?
No man is an island, so as countries. No country is an island and each and evry country are interconnected and affects each other directly or otherwise, It alliws countries to cooperate with one another concerning relations across boundaries of nation states. International relations are the way to face global economic issues together such as terrorism, environmental concerns, and othe contemporary global issues. IR is really important in maintaining the interconnectedness of countriea regardless of the distance and language and culture boundaries.
2542  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Warning] Phishing Blockchain.info on: November 05, 2019, 05:35:30 PM
Blockchain's popularity is growing especially now that China announced that they agree that bkockchain is a helpful and great technology and that they might use it according to their President Xi Jin Ping, he also said that using blockchain related applications is also great because it was supported by blockchain technology. That announcement influenced the masses and scammers and those who are behind phishing and cybercrimes has possibly saw it as opportunity and something to be taken advantage of. Make sure, people, that younare verifying  that the sites you are using are legitimate before entering your details.
2543  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BEWARE of Telegram Groups you have been added unwillingly!!!!! on: November 05, 2019, 05:21:48 PM
Hello,

I am an active telegram marketting service provider and I strongly do not suggest to use member adding services. If you add anyone in your group unwillingly, they either hit spam button or start sharing unrelated advertisements in the group. Very few of them asks what is the group about and the group gets banned because of people hitting spam buttun in a few days.

Also, If someone added you in a group chat, leave immediately. It is 99% scam. This is how people scam others. They usually showi some proof of payment with fake screenshots and giving false statements with a few other accounts they own. So simple. Noone will send you 10 ETH If you send 1 ETH? Why would anyone do that?! Dont be fooled by these people. Think it this way. If you find a service that doubles your crypto, would you tell it to everyone or would you use it to make you rich?

Repeating one last time, If you have been added in a group, hit the spam button and leave.

"There is another settings that you can also change in telegram. You can turn off the automatic media download. This could also help avoiding any malware that is sent using telegram. It's not just random telegram groups that will add you to the group without your consent or without knowing about it. Telegram can be use to spread any malware/virus to your device by sending you a pm with a file or clicking a link that a telegram user sent." quoted from Nakamura12
Before entering the crypro space its important that we know secimuritt measure like this even the smallest of thinga as long as it concerns security amd safety. Scams and fakes are already around then crypto space and they are waiting for their possible victims and newbies has the highest possibility to be theur victim because of their innocence and naiveness about things. As soon as you saw that you are added to groups, just report it and leave already, don't click any links and feed your curiousity for that might be a phishing just dressing as any link.
2544  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Scams are a global issue on: November 05, 2019, 05:02:16 PM
Now that crypto is allowing us to transact globally I am questioning if we are going  to start to see more scams happen between countries. Do we need more compliance companies to step in to help major scams and illegal trafficking?

Full report: https://ciphertrace.com/articles/q1-2019-cryptocurrency-anti-money-laundering-report/
Even now that the global transactions ia not yet accepted and allowed scams and cyber mcirmea are alaready evident and are in fact doing it greatly beause scammers and whoever they are that is behind these schemes are getting smarter and smarter, they evem make it seem legit and not very suspicous so that people would still fall into it.
2545  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Bankers Say Cryptocurrencies Do Not Threat The Global Financial Stability on: November 05, 2019, 04:43:46 PM
Big Bankers Say Cryptocurrencies Do Not Pose a Threat to Global Financial Stability

The Financial Stability Board, a global inter-governmental body with over 20 member countries, has ruled that virtual currencies are not a threat to the world economy. The assessment could have an impact on India, whose central bank is part of the board.

Virtual currencies aren't really a threat, in fact it portrays and could offer lots of benefits and advantages to the economy in terms of boosting it. Cryptocurrencies already saved some country's business men and investors from the crisis theat certain countries are going through such as  inflation, economic crisis and such. If there would be any threat that the government could see, that is the decentralization of some coins making them lose control over it, but the threat of replacing fiat with cryptos are not to be bothered about for there are lots of things the cryptocurrency should enhance.
2546  Economy / Economics / Re: What's it like to live on crypto instead of Banks? on: November 05, 2019, 04:26:04 PM
Imagine living your life without depending on Banks ever again. Using only cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum, you can make your own income stream and use the coins earned to buy stuff from merchants who accept them. Every day, cryptocurrencies have been going closer towards full mainstream adoption. However, there are still some things which prevent crypto from being used over traditional payment systems we've been accustomed to for a long time.

Nonetheless, what's it like to live only on crypto instead central-bank issued fiat money? Cheesy
People are really into using cryptocurrency, for instance, bitcoin, because this is decentrakized, meaning the government doesn't have any control or say with it,, this decentralization is giving people the idea of living freely with regards to their finances if they started using cryptocurrency for their daily expenses but what they don't see is the downside of this being able to happen. The reason why cryptocurrency is still isn't usable for our daily trades is because up until now its still considered as asset not a currency, meaning taxes is still applied younhave to pay for it. For younto be able to use it for transacting you need to convert it first and for tgere would be another fee for that so you migh be possibly live paying taxes and fees. Next thing is, cryptocurrency is volatile, its better of younuse it for other matters that could make you hold onto it for a while.
2547  Economy / Economics / Re: What is behind the past few days of rally? on: November 05, 2019, 03:44:16 PM
It is all green candles. Up up up. Why? Is there any news to shed some light on this? The price will probably fall fast now. I think this green streak is not going to last for long.
We all know that the market price is being higly affected and driven by how cryptocurrency users are moving within the space, or by how many are using it. Many countries are suffering economic crisis due to their political decisions, corruption, inflation and such things, these factors are driving investors and businesses into thinking of how they can save theirselves from the crisis that their country is going through, and bitcoin or the whole cryptocurrency are being their safe haven for it was free from the manipulation of the government so they will be far from being the collateral damage of what the government has been done. The action done by investors and businesses affected the marjet because of high demand and the vast adaption that are slowly emerging more and more.
2548  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin demand in economically volatile countries surges on: November 05, 2019, 03:11:37 PM
The said countries like Venezuela suffered hyperinflation during 2016 that it reached 274% in 2016, got higher during 2017 and reached 863%, 130,060% in 2018 and got worse when 2019 entered that the rate raised up to 282,973 then had the rate at 4,679% during September this year, the country's crisis was caused by their International monetary fund where they wanted to print more private money, the inflation was just so catastrophic especially its impact to busineses that made them enter cryptocurrency that bacame their safe haven and that will save them from their own currency's crisis.
2549  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Techniques you are using for Trading Options on: November 04, 2019, 05:55:52 PM
Hey guys, I would like to know what strategies/ techniques you are using for trading options. Especially in the Crypto market. I'm looking to experiment with trading options but Im just a vanilla trader. Would like to learn more from our fellow traders on what their practices is, when it comes to trading Options. TIA.
There are lots of strategies but what most see as best is HODLing for this is the most famous startegy, this is an abbreviation that means 'holding on for dear life' initially started during 2013. This strategy is about holding on to your coins for a long period of time hoping that in the long run the price would kick-off up to the price it reached during 2018. Every strategies has a downside, so as HODLing, so the success of you trade still relies on you. It still essential if you understand bitcoin market, choose wisely how you would trade, make a trading plan and manage your risks.
2550  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some essential trading rules beginners! on: November 04, 2019, 05:42:25 PM
Yes there's massive information on trading regardless its crypto or other financial markets and there are some vital facts that you must now before going into it!
1. Yes, it's theoretically possible that you can make huge money in a very short period of time but there's very high chance you would end up loosing all your money so never think of making easy and quick money!
2. There is a big difference between Demo and Real trading although somehow everything looks almost the same. So if you are doing good in demo it does not mean you will succeed in real trading as well!
3. Never ever trade just by reading social media opinions! If you want to be a successful put work into it, study a lot. Understand the market itself, terminology, market participants, etc!
4. Once you have a comprehension what crypto/forex/stock market is now study trading strategies! They can be different and every trader has their own ways of trading.
5. Never trade when you are emotional (it does not matter happy, sad)! Be always calm and just have a rest from trading when you are not!
6. Never trade just because you have not traded today unless you are sure! There are days when is better not to make any deal and it's absolutely normal.
7. Always invest the money that you can afford to lose!
8. Always have risk management and money management! (Unfortunately half of the trader even don't know what these two are)
9. Start from learning by little instead of putting pressure on yourself and making the process stressful!

I hope someone finds this useful! Wish you all "take profits"!

UPDATE: And here you can read a related article based on real trading experience.
These tips may be old but it could really help the forum's members especially beginners as their starting guide. Also, tip number 5, which says not to trade when you are emotional regardless if you're happy or not, they both could lead you into messing up your trade because emotions being at its pick will just cause you making decisions impulsively, emotions don't have a place in this field. And, tip number 7, baginners should take note that they shoyld only trade or invest what they can afford to lose because regrets is heavier.

2552  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHAT DOES A TRADER NEED? on: November 04, 2019, 05:23:33 PM
Reading news constantly and being on track?
Using platforms/tools?
Is trading view enough?
Thank you for helping in this matter!
All of these are needed but really, a trader needs to have patience and lots of it. Trading will really test your patience and will push you to your limits that's why it's a necessity. Also, what you need to do as a trader who's about to start, control your emotions and don't let it do otherwise, you can expect that you will be experiencing lots of excitement that could lead you into doing things impulsively at the spur of the moment, or experience panics as the price of the coins drop down to the pit. Bring these two with you for these will be helpful.
2553  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders who never bother to learn how to trade on: November 04, 2019, 05:01:53 PM
Maybe the thought of having to do all that research themselves is overwhelming, and they’re not interested in investing in their education either.
Whatever it is, they're setting themselves up for failure.
This is really the problem with people, they want to earn but don't want to invest in studying and learning what the nature of field is and how it works. They already want the fruit but didn't even bother to plant a seed. Majority of people, making approximately 90% of the ratio of the population was being eaten bybtheir laziness that's why there are only few that are still in the trading and is being successful because they are that few who are willing to go through the process and pick what they planted.
2554  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where you take inspiration when you tired from trading? on: November 04, 2019, 04:29:54 PM
I think what I will do is to first romance with nature so as to lift off the burden and get refreshed. Then proceed to your analysis, trace back your trading history look at the pattern, find your mistake then give it another short. N.B always note your limits
I couldn't agree more. The nature is really refreshing and renewing to the point that it would really cleanse and remove all your frustrations and burdens. Trading really gets so frustrating and stressful especially now that scams and fakes are around since another holiday season is approaching. Well after I got refreshed from interacting and meditating with nature, I am using the situation as another motivation, aims to make it better or finish the struggle already.
2555  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Tutorial] Easy Way To Report Phishing Email For Gmail User on: November 04, 2019, 03:23:27 PM

I would strongly advice about opening ANY email you dont know as the scammer will know you have clicked it. Its too dangerous, you can still report the email without opening it.

Also, the scammer will track you and know when you clicked it and your IP, so they can use the IP to shadow your account and try to recover it using VPN

Agree, It would be best if you just ignore every emails you recieved from unknown senders. Because we are all connected and accesible by anyone from anywhere through our connection with the internet. It won't be hard for scammers and cybercriminals to track us down especially if they know a lot about networks. Also, they might have already knew that some won't click the link so they will just re-program their malware to execute the crime the moment you opened the email. So never trust easily and kill your curiousity before it kill you.
2556  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [BEWARE] Bitmex Fake Email! on: November 04, 2019, 02:17:28 PM

Those links in the instruction that talks about creating a new account consist of referral links when I tried to open those links.

So this kind of scammer/hacker maybe is just into commission on every account he/she can able to hook via his/her referral link? Hmmm. Since he is just spreading his referral links.

I already reported this to the support of Bitmex and  they told that they only have two official email addresses that they are using;
Quote
Please be aware of phishing attempts. Emails from BitMEX are sent from “support@bitmex.com” and “noreply@bitmex.com”. Please add these email addresses to your contacts list to ensure that these emails do not land in your spam folder. BitMEX will never ask for your password.

Please be aware everyone. I am still waiting for their reply since I already forwarded the e-mail that I received on that suspicious email address.
Also check the article published by Bitmex regarding the recent issue : Updated: Statement on the Email Privacy Issue Impacting Our Users
We really need to be cautious this time. Everyone is aiming to earn money because its that time of the year where people are in need to earn and save for the incoming holiday. Let us all be cautious especially with links, there are many ways to execute a crime just by making the target clink the link then the malicious malwares will do it's work and then everything will be at risk or worse, messed up. People should learn their lessons for this isn't the first time.
2557  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers on Youtube. Don't fall into this scam trap and lose money, guys on: November 04, 2019, 09:42:05 AM
The scam address has already scammed more than $23k, check it here: https://etherscan.io/address/0x0132946103eFFfa43337128CF65F0B3531378e87
Fortunately, there are people reported that address and it has already been tagged with this warning:
Quote
Warning! There are reports that this address was used in a Phishing scam. Please exercise caution when interacting with this address.

I believe that guy will come back with other scam efforts on other coins with same method, and maybe other guys will apply that method to scam.

Just be highly cautious and be careful to protect your capital.

When you see my topic, please give your hands to stop that scammer ASAP by reporting that channel - https://www.youtube.com/user/thehotgeek - and that address - 0x0132946103eFFfa43337128CF65F0B3531378e87.
Oh no, $23k is a big amount already. It really puzzled me that this type of scam still has lots victims and even scammed lots of money. It seems like people aren't learning their lessons regarding this kind of issues, it has been around the forum and the crypto space but they act like its their first time encountering such thing, the scheme of the scam is being blatantly given yet they still fall for it. People should really take vigilance seriously and add more caution to their every move.
2558  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earn merit as a Newbie? on: November 03, 2019, 06:12:26 PM
I couldn't find the details about how to earn merit as a newbie, and how to earn sMerit, I think this information is not here in this forum. I understand making useful posts will earn merit but what it means?

There are many posts and useful links above which can guide you on how to get merits for the posts. But if you are a good poster and want to keep it simple, do not think of the merits. They will come to you automatically if people like what you are posting.
Couldn't agree more with this. Your passion about quality posting will bring you all the merits you want, you won't be needing to put efforts and run after merits if you have all the qualities that needs to be developed as a quality poster. Just study everything you don't know and try to put up spices to your content, then everything will follow. Try building raport with everyone, who knows? Camaraderie could be a key to earn merits and help your account rank up.
2559  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CRYPTO DOUBLERS SCAM !!! on: November 03, 2019, 06:05:44 PM
As you can see the blockexplorer shows dozens of transactions that are matching the amounts offered for deposit and payouts. All of them are fake and made up by scammer to trick you.

Any website offering such services is nothing but a SCAM !!!

Experienced crypto veterans will notice that scam right away, but newbies might still be trapped.

DON' BE GREEDY AND STAY AWAY FROM SUCH WEBSITES AND OFFERS !!! NOBODY WILL DOUBLE YOUR CRYPTO ASSETS !!!
We should keep in mind every single hints that a website is a scam. Especialky if the website is blatantly doing their schemes, we all can identify one if we just pay attention and taking safety seriously. Also, it's true that as soon as we stopped being greedy, we started helping ourselves to get away from anything harmful and anything that threatens our assets. Laslty, never ever deposit any amount to any unknown and untrusted sites.

[1]: Increases your knowledge on cryptocurrency
This is my favorite advantage that I could experience as a quality content contributor. As someone who are into quality contributions in the forum, I am not only educating other people with content that I am sharing, in fact I am also able to gain knowledge about cryptocurrency but not limited to that topic, the forum is so wide that it has vast coverage of topic which is good cause the knowledge that I could gain and could share is also versatile, and with just that I could fill fulfillment especially if people keeps on qouting and giving positive feedbacks.
