Thanks, got the payment! Do you guys have any idea how long this campaign will last? I'd understand if it was short because this is quite an amount to put towards sig campaigns.
2562  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why is processor naming so confusing these days? on: December 07, 2014, 08:55:15 PM
Feel free to call me cynical... but one of the reasons (the main reason?) that the names are so meaningless is that if they weren't then everybody and anybody would instantly know which was the 'best', what was compatible with what MB, etc, etc... and we can't be having that now, can we!

Well you can look at that like I did, but that would take intelligence Tongue

You're spamming to prevent spamming? Give it up, seriously, it's annoying.

I'm not spamming.

Why do you feel the need to defend her? It's not like you'll ever have any chance with her or even get to meet her. This is exactly the reason why I suggest this thread be locked.

You don't know if he doesn't have a chance with me, for all we know lethn could be an amazing guy, everything is possible in this world la la la...

WTF?! lol Tongue

Do I have to fill it in? I'm still on the google document so I'm not sure what's going on after having read this, I filled out the form though.

To claim payment you always have to fill in http://bit.do/cloudminr

The google document only shows if you're enrolled and what you start post count is, etc.

You have claimed payment before, how did you do that?

I don't think you have to fill the form. I think devthedev said that 2 weeks back as well. Never filled it before. Maybe he can confirm.

I have no idea, this is why I'm asking Cheesy

I'm not defending her, I'm being annoyed at your spam and now this thread is being bumped because you've decided you have to argue with me.
2568  Other / Off-topic / Re: WAS SATOSHI REALLY ARRESTED? IS THIS REAL? FAKE NEWS REPORT? on: December 07, 2014, 07:21:56 AM
I can't believe there are people commenting on that as if it's real Cheesy If you want to know how we all know it's not real, the real Satoshi would be able to sign the Genesis block with a message or for instance post with his account, the problem is you have lots of non-tech morons thinking they know everything so they jump up and down screaming "I FOUND HIM! I FOUND HIM!" like Leah Goodman did, while this is just blatant satire, a lot of these other articles are really just being written by attention seeking journalists.
2569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many of you consolidate your bitcoins? on: December 07, 2014, 07:06:18 AM
As others have said this doesn't really do much, either store your coins offline if it is a large amount, put them in the dark wallet when the stable version comes out ( That's what I'll probably be doing ) or buy one of the many anonymity oriented altcoins that are popping up all over the place if you want something now that's reasonably safe to use.

Just as a courtesy b!z I'm letting you know I've reported you for spamming instead of using the ignore function like any other sane person would, trying to spam someone into doing what you want just makes you look like a dick and clutters up the forum with useless shit like you've done here.
2572  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why is processor naming so confusing these days? on: December 07, 2014, 05:27:42 AM
It is tricky, just recently I bought my first CPU upgrade ever, to get it right, I made absolute sure I had the right one by checking the socket number matched my motherboard and so on I think it's just that computers have progressed so much it's difficult to keep track of it all so naturally you're going to have a much wider variety of components available. In regards to power though that's where benchmarking comes in and just looking at the data available, since there are pretty stupid people out there who will bicker over the slightest differences, in my view from buying an AMD processor it's like seeing people argue about consoles, when you look at the actual maths and what has what in the end there's only a small difference in how they actually work and they're just picking a fight over nothing, or rather, picking a fight over which brand they like the most.
2573  Other / Off-topic / Re: Happy Guess: How many % of all accounts on bitcointalk.org are sockpuppets? on: December 06, 2014, 04:29:29 PM
There will be lots on here don't get me wrong, but yes, many of them will either be spammers or sockpuppet accounts, mostly spammers though, it's like that with any forum, even the popular ones.
2574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What makes our job so hard to spread awareness on: December 06, 2014, 09:11:20 AM
My problem is you can't buy fried chicken with it anywhere.

Go and ask KFC to accept it then Tongue lol Cheesy

Would they accept it?

No, but you could convince them to implement it... Ooo Speaking of which I need to check with the Gemstore I use in Thailand accepts it yet.

Edit: aww not yet Sad Cheesy

It's been posted before, but I will say this, I don't want thugs like this to have control over our lives and I'm white for fucks sake, I seriously doubt they'd treat me any different if I actually stood up to them, you can see plenty of youtube videos in the UK as well of people having close calls with the police just for pointing out the law to them.
2577  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-12-05] Physics and economics will [ensure] distributed mining on: December 06, 2014, 08:56:21 AM
I do agree with this but this is precisely why this technology was released open source to begin with if PoW really is too inneficcient the open source community will come up with a better solution.and I think with ideas like Curecoin and PoS they're at least beginning to.
2578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Eric Cartman and bitcoins on: December 06, 2014, 08:34:59 AM
The creators are Libertarians so it's almost surprising they haven't mentioned Bitcoins just for the fact it often gets talked about in the same circles of media.

They are? Didn't know that, well you never know what will happen, still pretty early in the season yet.
2579  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mark Zuckerberg investing $100 million in Bitcoin on: December 06, 2014, 08:28:05 AM
You didn't even read the OP's post did you? Without a confirmed source he could easily be just making it up.
2580  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What makes our job so hard to spread awareness on: December 06, 2014, 07:38:24 AM
It depends on who you talk to, what you're realising unfortunately is that the average person is actually pretty stupid ( I know this sounds harsh, but think about the kind of people that keep getting elected to office and you'll understand ) however for me at least the experience has been more positive because even though I got pretty ignorant comments from people some of them at least started researching it and now they're occasionally hitting articles and stuff I didn't know about that.

There's also a Bitcoin etsy team I had no clue about so it's not all a lost cause, I'm sure you found this already but generally people who have a positive disposition towards government tend to be less receptive to Bitcoin because they don't see why they need it.
