Hi Dev, Is the ICO over?    HitBTC is selling this token now.

          Huh

Hi
Could someone officially comment on this?

strange, they list it as an IOU or something?

Let's not forget 50% of coins will be almost permanently locked up in static nodes, already 1/3 of coins are out of circulation already.

They won't be permanently locked up in static nodes, anyone holding a static node/s can take the coins out at anytime. Just wanted to point that out.

You could say 1/3 of the coins are out of circulation but any static node holder can sell/transfer their coins at any time, although that will break the static node and they will loose their node.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tezos discussion on: June 03, 2017, 01:51:40 AM
When its gonna hit exchanges?

It's on exchanges already. Go to Polo, in the search box press ctrl-f4 several times and it should show up the trading pair.

Also same goes for bittrex.

What s the reward/profit for running a static node ?
i couldn't find it on the site...thx

I saw stratis heheh...

Static nodes will be earning from transfer fees initially as services and features are built on top of the network static nodes will be earning from those fees among other things.

It's hard to figure out how much you can earn it really depends on how many static nodes are online at one time, the amount of fees generated.

OK, this is a STEP by STEP process to release XBY, please be patient and you will not lose:

Now we are releasing an XBY control panel (its still rough, no graphic design yet) that will ONLY be used right now to help you VERIFY that your STaTiC is properly registered before Borz finalize the Genesis block.

Please download here:
https://github.com/XtraBYtes/core/releases/download/v1.2.0.0-win/xtrabytes.exe

You do not actually run this test from the Control Panel though. Please use the CMD window.

So, just like when you were setting up your STaTiC nodes, you will go to the file you save in. For example: d:\zolt

Use the following commands in the windows cmd window:

d: press enter
cd d:\zolt press enter

now type: xtrabytes.exe --nogui --getstaticbyid=780c896402d3c2........ (this is your STaTiC registration ID: from http://borzalom.hu/static-list-updated.html )

There are additional commands at the Github location:
https://github.com/XtraBYtes/core/releases/tag/v1.2.0.0-win

Please TEST to see all your STaTiC nodes are found and anyone with time, please ALSO test to make sure that NO CANCELLED or UPDATED nodes appear.

Thank you!!

Just want to add after entering that command in it should display your static nodes public key which confirms your node is registered and ready for the genesis block
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] truly decentralized exchange | token ecosystem infrastructure on: June 02, 2017, 01:01:15 AM
Yes, you can still buy enough blocks for a node. No problem. Just pop over to bittrex.  Price going up fast today however. Block supply is dwindling as only 3.9 million exist.

all the info and help you want is here: https://blocknet.herokuapp.com/

Also, the reddit AMA: https://www.reddit.com/r/theblocknet/comments/676buj/ask_anything_about_blocknet_qa/

Thanks found it: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1M65hM03tX16FXN-X-30ETWq21WkWts1TxQXv-LR32AU/edit?usp=sharing

I think this should be added to the OP...cool stuff.

Going to experiment with the trader node, see if I can get a coin I have linked.

Went over the guide really quick, I'm guessing setting up a node will be user friend to setup in the future.

So service node is the one that earns from exchange fees and min 5000 coins to run a service node.

But wondering a trader node doesn't require a minimum amount, also guessing it doesn't earn from running it but used for exchanging one coin to another.

For those who haven't joined "Telegram" - and it's awful, let me tell you - here are some real questions:

All good points.

What is our restitution, exactly?  This has been a farce, so what do we get for all this hassle?

This always happens in crypto, why do people think their going to get restitution. Funds are considered donations by the way...

Hey guys, just wondering been seeing people mention exchange nodes. Just checking out Block's site and haven't found anything about it. Am I missing something, is the real name for it xbridge or is that something entirely different? If you could steer me in the right direction that would be great!

You have to join the slack channel to get information about exchange nodes few months ago it required 5k blocks to run exchange nodes to make profits.

I see, "it required" we can no longer run one even if we had/buy up 5k coins?

Hi,

sorry if this has been already answered, but where are we going to receive the aeternity coin after ico, do we need to download a wallet or something ?

Thanks

I have got the same question, is that one will have to use the private key to claim the AE tokens?

After phase 2 of the ICO ends coins will be distributed by the use of an ethereum contract (temporarily) until the main net is launched. A swap from the ethereum based token to AE coins will occur when the mainnet is launched.

I think it'll just be an ETH token for transferring, exchanging until the main net is launched so we won't have to wait till the main net to trade.

I contributed in BTC and there was no place to enter the ETHER address to received tokens,

I think redemption and getting your tokens will be posed after the ICO ends which you should have control of your private key for the eth/btc address you used to invest into the ICO.

It doesn`t matter. Anyone who will spend 500k XBY for node will not regret it. Because in future they will see back and say... ohh i was so lucky to buy it so cheap... now i am earning nice money and still have plenty of XBY in my node Wink which is kind of retirement Cheesy
You sound pretty confident about it, that's good Smiley. I assume you see XtraBYtes among TOP10 crypto projects soon and maybe even higher, right? Do you think network will be in "production state" in 2017 or it can take longer?

Yeah, we just hitted top100 crypto Smiley 2017 will be XBY year for sure Wink Tommorow I feel 1000 sat and in genesis day 1500 sat Smiley after this nodes will run and start working and giving profits... then we will be able to join bittrex and fly with prices to who knows where? 5-10k sat? Lets see. For sure we will get many new users and nice promotion. We have great road map we will follow Wink

downloaded windows qt wallet
it's almost 1 hour past - no connection, 0 active connections to xtrabytes network

What version are you downloading? Try the 1.1.03 version, see if that works better.

The newest version is 1.1.04 and you can download it here : https://github.com/borzalom/XtraBYtes/releases/tag/pre-v1.1.0.4-win

I noticed the .03 version connects alot more peers then in .4. Not sure if it's from my side only but might be.

274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zclassic, Zcash Fork No Premine, No 20% Founders Tax on: May 27, 2017, 08:36:15 AM
Is it a strategic exit to accumulate more ZCL and then moon? Or are they coming out slowly? With ZenCash, what is the rationale for maintaining ZCL?

From what I understand ZCL will always be a plain fork of ZEC minus the founders reward, so I'm not sure how much maintaining will be done going forward.
ZenCash is the shiny new version of ZCL where the developers will add their own new features.

So why the split to Zen? They cloned ZCL to just abandoned ZCL?

Sounds scammy to me if that's the case, pretty much anyone holding ZCL after the snapshot is fucked no?

Another SDC in the making? Not really sure the point of Zen, to be honest it seems like a cash grab to me...they could of just rebranded ZCL to Zen and continued with what they have planned for Zen on ZCL seeing from the Zen site, the devs are the same for both coins.

about to pull the sell trigger to be honest, already in loss rather have some of my btc back then watch this drop to zero while no one knows the future of ZCL...
If they would have abandoned Zcl totally as was a talked possibility for a while it would“ve angered even more people + there are many coins that have done swaps to a new coin for a limited time only and those who were unaware of a swap lost their holdings totally!. I“m glad they kept the old chain as it is very useful/promising as a better version of corporateZcash.

People seem angry about the drop in price which was expected as the promise of Zen coins was the main factor in Zclassics recent price hike. Keep up with information about relevent developments, folks!

As there was zero amount as a premine or miners tax to dev-team the Zcl lacked incentive and promotional funds that are crucial to keep up with development so a fairer version is being created for the dev-team.

When Zen is launched and on its way those who have Zencoins will be very happy.

Any change could of been done in ZCL, if developments they were looking for they could of just did a hard fork and upped the supply a few million and use those as a development fund. From what I understand this wasn't a swap from ZCL to ZEN though, it was a snapshot of ZCL blockchain, ZEN basically hard forked from ZCL and cloned it. Created a new coin from an old coin, seeing they are the same devs for both coins...not sure how they are going to work on both, doubt it to be honest. One is going to be abandoned that more likely it's going to be ZCL imo.

To be honest this doesn't sound right, not yelling scam or anything but this has that written all over it. They could of did a swap from ZCL to ZEN, have that run for a few months and move onto ZEN.

ZCL was pumped before the snapshot, dumped after the snapshot. Shit ton of money was made on ZCL and now free ZEN which will get pumped too...I can't overlook that the devs might have a hand in that...sorry but there's too many schemes and tricks devs in crypto have pulled to suck cash out of people.

If it tanks below 200 sats I'll pick up another BTC worth. :p

I will do the same. The project is interesting gaining traction on such a short notice.
Let's see how some developers without an ICO can perfom.

I'm also funding my yobit wallet to ready my buy order in case it drop below 200 sats i've already made a profit here in the past and this is a golden opportunity now that it is in the 200 marks, next month I don't think XtraBYtes will go to this level again.

You know XBY is listed on cryptopia, I recommend using them instead of yobit. Yobit has zero support so if your btc or XBY withdrawals/deposits get stuck there you pretty much lost them.

And doctorG you can stop encouraging them in their bullshit, a guy saying we are deleteing his posted in an unmoderated thread....fuck off.

And no one deleted his posts as everyone knows you can't delete unmoderated threads...the only people that can do that is bitcointalk mods and the poster himself.  What are brain damaged defending someone who is lying?

You were saying?

Just wanted to say Im getting pretty tired of some of the bullshit on this thread.

Simply, the coin is stable, holding its price in relation to BTC in these times of 'bullish' behaviour.

Its a good coin, Dev team need to keep doing the good work.

If I hear the word sockpuppet one more time Im gona start using the word 'wanksock' to describe the cheerleaders who are filling this thread with complete bullshit.

Thanks

No doubt your post will get deleted like many of mine do for "breaking community rules"

It seems any sort of truth speak breaks the rules!

Why would it get deleted?
Im asking for serious conversation, not 'non-sense'
Serious investors are here for news, not cheerleaders.

As simple as that

Heres my recent ones that got removed for "breaking the community rules"

------------------------------------------------

1. What development are we currently waiting on now in terms of getting the nodes activated?

2. We have no real timeline? We're waiting for testing to finish?

------------------------------------------------

I'll let everyone else decide for themselves if these are serious points for discussion or just "non-sense"

It will be done when it's done...no timeline nor deadlines as those never work out in crypto and are never met...it'll only cause grief and anger if it's not met.

Timelines and deadlines are there to entice hyper before news for a quick pump then a sell off after news is released like people buying alts think their actual traders with buy the rumor sell the news lol...

No offense but anyone buying this coin is a fucken retard and deserves to loose everything in crypto...sorry that's the cold hard truth.
