Volume is still low, expecting more action today but looks like bloody monday isn't affecting Cloak. I guess Tuesday is the day we start seeing volume and some action. Atleast price is stable which is good for merchants using cloak. |

Not sure if this was suggested before but I think its hard to do any technical analysis on charts for different coins.
Going to bitcoinwisdom I noticed there's multiple charts for a single coin, each chart belonging to a certain exchange.
Wouldn't TA on charts be inaccurate? I mean if one coin is on 3 exchanges: mintpal, bittrex, and cryptsy where mintpal has lets say 500 btc in daily volume, bittrex has 200 btc and cryptsy 250 btc daily volume. Which chart would be the perferred to use when doing TA? Most of us would use mintpal being that it has the largest volume but what about bittrex and cryptsy?
Basing your analysis on just one exchange isn't going to be that accurate as we're not taking into consideration the other 2 exchanges that have considerable amount of volume.
So my suggestion would be instead of having a chart from each exchange for a single coin is to have one chart that includes all major exchanges (volume wise). The price would be an average between all major exchanges and a chart would be drawn based on the average rate. Analyzing the new chart would be much more efficient in providing much more accurate analysis.
Something similar to how preev.com shows us the rate of btc in usd where the price is an average between major exchanges.
Not sure if this would help but wouldn't save server resources? Instead of having 300 charts for 100 coins on 3 exchanges you would have 100 charts instead.
What do you guys think?

Is there 2Fa and mail confirmation on mintpal to make a withdrawal? It just makes sense when you need this 2 steps + password.
But it was a nice chance to buy some cloaks.
yes offcourse, just woke up to see someone got hacked. Not a few dollars but quite an amount, people shouldn't be calling the guy who took them a hacker but a thief. He's not a hacker either, probably infected the victim with malware got access to his mintpal account and email...etc |

Edit - I just don't understand the last part; what good is all this cloaking if bobs IP is (apparently) still connected to the PoSA wallets? That was my question as well, it talks about protecting bob in case richard is a thief, but what if richard is just a spy. This is a known issue for drk coin, which is why there are 8 middle men, ensuring that the probability of all 8 being controlled by the same entity is low. What if 1/3rd of the cloak network is sitting at the nsa? So bob shuffles his coins locally removing their origin, but then he sends to richard to send to alice for drugs, and richard narcs on him. Thanks for the explanation  Remember this is a just a rough draft, Joe was telling us in the irc chat that this is a very simplified version on how it works. Its not the final version that's why joe asked people in the irc chat to not post it in the thread to avoid a big discussion about it as its not the official whitepaper. People didn't list (you know who posted) and posted it regardless. Your input is much appreciated, for people calling this FUD well it isn't. Its constructive criticism and beneficial to the development of PoSA. The devs listened to issues that might arise with PoSA from members and found solutions. @bcmine Are you referring to Cloaksend 1.0? How would cloak be anon but at the same time useless when you know the address of the sender and the receiver, then its not anon in this case lol. |

I would never recommend put a large chunk on any mobile/3rd party hosted site but to earn 6% on your pocket money at all times...hell yes!
Access to your wallet running on your computer at home from your mobile. Isn't that what cloakpal is? What does 3rd party hosted sites have to do with cloakpal? |

Just want to note that was not supposed to be posted here, as its a 'highly simplified' unofficial explanation of how the system works for people just getting in. The white-paper will better explain it once final draft of that is ready. This sounds a lot like the darksend+ currently being implemented on test net. Making pools of shuffled coins, at random time intervals. Shuffling/random time intervals are optional features. Yes I understood that. I only quickly read the chat log but... "Does Bob need to “cloak” his money in advance? Yes, Bob will need to start this process before he can truly send money anonymously, so he will need to decide beforehand how much of his money he wants to be “cloaked.” To make things even better for Bob, the PoSA system has some settings allowing Bob to decide to what degree his money is “cloaked.” Bob can decide on the total amount of “cloaked” coins he wishes to generate, the time delay between the “cloaking” of the coins (even random times if Bob wishes), the rate of coins that will be “cloaked” each time (ex.: 10 at a time), and even a special optional setting that “shuffles” the “cloaked” coins around to the other PoSA wallets Bob possesses." This cloaking process is very similar to the function of the auto denomination function of the masternodes in darksend being tested currently. The difference being the shuffling is done locally, vs via a chain of nodes. Unless I misunderstand it. Sorry wish I could answer that but haven't followed Dark's anonymous system. I also know very little in how this all works, so giving you a proper answer is difficult. You'll get a better reply from someone that knows how both systems work, I'd recommend joining the IRC and asking the developers or Private message them with your questions. Try checking in a few hours, joe was answering questions in the IRC after posting the rough draft. He'll be back in a few hours I suppose so might want to check that out. Alright, i'm out. At least got a few bucks. I waited with Elite and was left with nothing!!! I'd advise you all to do the same. Even the community manager has quit, what more sign do you need?
What a bloody waste. 3-4 days of mining for WHAT? So what if the coin wasn't per spec, it still works! But NOPE, dev decided 'fuck it' and screws us all.
Worse than a scammer, he's totally incompetent and irresponsible.

Hi i decide to buy some Cloak today too but when i try to open the wallet after download i cannt, always come "System Error, LIBEAY32.dll is missing". Im not a programmer so i think i need a bit of help.

No what is shows is that who ever drew it has never taken a single course in algorithm design, or even process management. To the university grads here, did you ever see something like this in CompSci 101? thats like moaning against somebody about his bad english.... even if you did understand everything. Yep you are right this can be done better.... but point is i do understand what the chart wants to tell so its not a bad chart. You look at the chart and have no idea whats going on, have you tried analyzing it at least? Ask questions to things you didn't understand? Trolling without the use of scam, shit...etc Don't worry that diagram is being redrawn in a coloring book with crayons for you to understand. If you read my earlier post, I said I did understand the chart. You again with the insults, we were doing so well. Think about how much sense this makes. We are lead to believe there is a revolutionary solution from people who show they haven't grasped fundamentals. No insults, I thought you were actually interested but your not. Feels like I am chasing a shadow talking to you. Like I said if you have difficulties trying to understand the chart, ask questions or join the IRC the devs are currently open to a Q&A.
