If YABMC is going to be relisting on an exchange, I would like it to be on a hidden service or on an stock/bond/asset exchange that is fully licensed to do so. If not, we would not ONLY be putting faith in a 3rd party exchange, but we would also have the fear of the government (US or otherwise) cracking down on the exchange.

Then even the asset should be legit and it would end in the same awful mess Giga went. No thanks.
The risk of an exchange shutdown should be managed just with a backup plan.

Hidden service exchange w/ backup plan then?

If you're worried about the safety of the exchange for the shareholders, I'll point out that Bakewell was listed on BTC-TC and successfully transitioned to BitFunder without trouble.  BTC-TC gives you all the data you need to move at any time.  Bakewell will not be able to move back though, BitFunder does not provide such data, at least not without the site webmaster granting it via special request, but it does provide a public list of BTC addresses so you could minimally continue to make payouts if it fails and you managed to download the list recently.

If you're wondering why Bakewell left BTC-TC, his motivation has not been made clear.  BitFunder has a pretty good incentive, (10 BTC payout to qualifying GLBSE assets) and the Bakewell moderator score on BTC-TC was pretty bad.  Maybe a combination of the above.

Cheers.

why not simply relist on some exchange. Then you can pay this as dividends. Experimenting with paymwnts to BTC addresses is strange. Looks like you don't really want to pay at all and are searching excuses not to.

Relisting on 'some exchange' would be even more difficult. Especially for those who have yet to claim ownership of shares. That would require them claiming ownership of said shares on another 3rd party exchange, which would probably leave a bad taste in their mouth given what happened with GLBSE.

You can't just move onto another exchange without making every other shareholder do the same.

It makes tracking things a bit more of a PITA but is a fair request.

Regardless, I want to start "real" payments next week.

You mean 'I "want" to start real payments next week.'

edit: received 2nd test payment

That's good to know, though it looks like I will be preordering sooner than March 1st.

one can pre-order ASIC based mining equipment today, or wait for 6 months and order it then - in both cases, the ROI will be in the similar range

That is almost certainly not true.

Unless you expect no ASIC miners to ship ever.  Then it would be true.

I struggled making sense of that comment as well...

I may be wrong but I took it as meaning that over time the ROI on your purchase will be similar.

Its not taking into account that if you can get a hold of the first batch you would have a major boost in income over the first few months before Diifficulty levels out.

You means weeks? days? Difficulty doesn't recalculate every 2 weeks, but rather every 2016 blocks. If there's a surge in mining power, the faster blocks will come in and the sooner the difficulty adjustment(s) will take place.

I haven't followed this thread from start to finish - frankly I don't have the time to. What I do know is this - I ordered (4) SC Singles on 7/26/2012. It's been over 5 months now. Where are my products?

So... rather than actually ask BFL... you post a question publicly on a thread board full of trolls. Good job.
There is the lead BFL representative currently trolling these threads. Did you actually miss seeing him?

(Good Job?)

I didn't specify who the trolls were.

This entire thread is getting (probably has been by most standards) pathetic...

I have been here long enough to recognize the winners and losers. Those in a beneficial position, safe position, and in the target zone. It matters not though... Even if everyone in this thread realized that this just another 'mega-thread' full of antagonizing and general assholery, it won't matter... The antagonists will antagonize and the 'victims' will react however they so choose. Anything beyond silence just fuels the antagonists even more though.

You actually believe it....just because he says it, GigaVPS?

He didn't say that? I'm pretty sure he is a lot less likely to take someone's word for something given the GLBSE shutdown.

My first attempt at the parody. Only one minor error, and it could have been worded just a tad tighter, but... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OznV2kdlgiE

Created for humor purposes only. Consider any truisms a coincidence.

Hey, I'm not on meds! I'm perfect for the position! Grin

This is why people laugh at you to your face, you just go around saying people are wrong without offering opposing view points.

It's pretty easy on the internet.  Roll Eyes

It seems ever thread like this has one of those.

Anyone remember this?

Nobody qualifies for the word "transparency" in the current ASIC market, not even us.

With difficulty not changing before Friday, I have sent my portion of the coupons to  http://blockchain.info/fb/1yabmc that would cover until 12:00 UTC December 21, 2012.

My goal is to have a payout this Friday (more detailed post coming by Friday morning -- UTC-6).

Would that be a payout from your portion? Or all portions?

Not too worried about who draws a prettier picture. I want to buy from the guy that ships the most for the least the soonest.

Today I walked into a random bank.  Asked for a notary.  Got the document notarized in about 10 minutes.  They did not charge me anything and never even asked me if I had an account at their bank.  Don't the banks elsewhere provide a similar service for free?

I still have to spring for the darn postage stamp to send it in though.

In the past I've tried my local Bank of America and a local credit union.  Both have a notary on the staff, but only for banking related transactions.  The credit union referred me to a local title insurance company.  They've been awesome over the years, although it is $10/document.  If you're looking for a local notary, a title insurance company is going to have one handy.

TD Bank gave me a notary for a title transfer for my car. No fee or anything, though I do bank with them... not sure if it was required though.

Is that camera from the 90's?
No, it's just the shitty one that's attached to the top of my laptop monitor.
