261  Economy / Services / Re: ★☆★ SHIFT.CASH BTC Signature Campaign★☆★ $2000 payable in BTC WEEKLY on: February 05, 2018, 02:14:49 AM
How exactly is this payable in BTC? You're only offering payment in your worthless tokens.
262  Other / Meta / Forums extremely slow for anyone else? on: February 04, 2018, 11:11:44 PM
I keep getting messages saying Error 504: Gateway Timed Out whenever I try to load most pages, and when pages do load, it is extremely slow. All other websites are loading normally for me. Is this an issue on my end only, or are other people experiencing this?
263  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Goose20 outstanding Loan on: February 04, 2018, 10:48:11 PM
-snip-

Based on your logic, zazarb should be entitled to ask you for more in re-payment whenever the price of BTC drops following the initial loan. After all, he lent you a certain value in USD and is getting a lower value in USD returned to him. It doesn't look like you were complaining when that was the case though. If you wanted a loan denominated in USD or another fiat currency, you should have added that to the terms. You knew Bitcoin was volatile, yet deliberately avoided repayment in the hope that the price would drop. It is now almost an entire year after you first entered into this agreement and you still haven't even repaid the principle. Zazarb has been more than lenient by waiting until now to publicly call you out on this. I will remove my feedback once this issue has been resolved to the lender's satisfaction.

Oh my, this will actually the perfect gift for a friend of mine haha. Can I reserve a M/L? Need to ask him what size he'd prefer. Will be buying 1 large if still available.
265  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bounty Manager "Deadley" and "electroneum" (Discussion of the Electroneum) on: February 04, 2018, 06:21:38 PM
Would it be possible to get some other people who are owed tokens to post in this thread? Looking at the ETN bounty thread, it seems a large number of claims were paid out on January 26th. I'd like to know if this is still a widespread issue before tagging someone with a solid reputation. That being said, campaign managers should be held responsible for the campaigns they choose to associate themselves with. There is no risk to staking this reputation if they won't be held accountable.

Yeah. I am supposed to get 40000 tokens and they ignored all my pm and support email.

Can you please post some proof of this?
266  Other / Meta / Re: [t's useless, junk, and a shit one] on: February 04, 2018, 05:57:38 PM
I was addressing the OP. I don't think you could have made your's much shorter (and it didn't need to be).

Isn't OP a newbie and not allowed a signature ?

Yes, that is correct. However, I believe his question was in response to seeing that other users were receiving negative trust from members such as The Pharmacist and actmyname for "shit-posting", and the purpose of making this thread was to understand what that means so he can avoid it. My point is that a lot of junk posts are "junk" because they are intentionally lengthened with filler sentences to meet minimum character requirements. There is nothing inherently wrong or "junk" about a one line response as long as it is constructive to the discussion, you just won't be paid for doing so.
267  Other / Meta / Re: [t's useless, junk, and a shit one] on: February 04, 2018, 05:49:50 PM
This is a great example of a junk answer. Although it appears quite long, you could've expressed the same thoughts much more concisely. Unfortunately, excessive verbosity such as this seems to be the trend since advertisers started requiring a minimum number of characters for posts to be paid.

To which of us are you addressing that comment. Neither of us is in a bounty programme.

I was addressing the OP. I don't think you could have made yours much shorter (and it didn't need to be). Added quote for clarity.
268  Other / Meta / Re: [t's useless, junk, and a shit one] on: February 04, 2018, 05:43:54 PM
I was reading a lot of replies on threads, most of the answers were standard.
Now, how can you classified or distinguish or what are the basis to categorize an answer, before you could say it's a junk one, yeah sometimes their answer is stupid but they have a point, someone replies with all their might with the ideas they have but gat deleted (some important line is there, but it was deleted because some inappropriate line is mixed up),  or a shit one??

Can anybody share their thoughts, ideas and knowledge about it?

Please don't be brief on your answers, please explain it on details on words that can be easily understand because if you used complicated phrases it might be get misinterprete.

I'll be reading them one by one.

Thank you.

269  Other / Meta / Re: self moderated posts in the digital goods market place is a bad idea on: February 04, 2018, 04:52:43 PM
I agree with you, I brought this up about a month ago here.

While self-moderation has the benefits Jet Cash mentioned, it is almost exclusively used to curate feedback and scam other users. I think one possible solution would be to restrict the self-moderation ability to only Members+, as this would at least stop the most flagrant abuse. Something also needs to be done about auto-buy links (selly, rocketr, etc.), these are just as much a plague in the Digital Goods section.

271  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial merit source application thread on: February 04, 2018, 06:28:44 AM
Updated through today as far as I can tell. I am not sure if users have posted applications in local sub-forums, but if you know of any, please link them for me Smiley
272  Other / Meta / Re: Pay to get rid of ads? on: February 04, 2018, 05:39:14 AM
Is there a way to get rid of all of the advertising?  I'm using an adblocker to filter out all of the eyesores but I'd rather pay a one time fee to permanently block it all out instead of having to add new filters every time a new banner gets added.  I know that the website needs funds and I guess people are being paid to advertise with their accounts as well but I'd rather just pay to not see any of it.  There's enough crap to wade through as it is from the shitposts themselves and the thousand page threads.

Are you referring to paid signature advertisements or the forum placed ad in each thread? You can disable signatures in user settings, which will pretty much eliminate most advertising. As for forum ads, hero members have the option to disable those, although they really aren't that intrusive to begin with.

Wow!!! Great!!! I made it by myself by trying again and again, but thanks for answering!!  Grin I'll go take a look at you link right away!! Do you perhaps know how can i place images in a specific order, keeping a certain distance etc like you would do in word? I'll find an answer in the link? Thanks again!! You're super kind!

No problem, happy to help. I'm not entirely sure if you can embed images in text like with MS Word, but you can at least center them using

Code:
[center][img]image url here[/img][/center]

to make things look a bit neater. Lesson 3 of the BBCode guide might also be helpful, tables can clean things up pretty nicely.

276  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Dude PMs me, pretending he can get me free merits on: February 04, 2018, 03:08:44 AM
So what should I do? Is this message here enough to get him banned? Or shall I have a talk with him and play dumb?

EDIT: profile link

Selling merit, just like scamming, is not a bannable offense. That being said, it is untrustworthy, so I'll probably tag his account with negative trust.  Unfortunately, it is most likely just one of his many alts. It would be great if you could play dumb and ask him to prove he can distribute merit as he claims. Ask him to give the account he PM'd you with a certain number of merit (10+) and see if he does so. Then I'd be able to tag his other accounts as well.
277  Other / Meta / Re: Rejoice! Actmyname is soon to be demoted on: February 03, 2018, 07:51:09 PM
Sorry to rain on your parade, but unless another member of DT-1 excludes him as well, he will still be in DT-2.

0.4 + 0.00075 × 18 = 0.4135.

Please confirm.

Sorry for the interference but i think that you make a wrong calculation... As you wrote this the result is 7.2135BTC. Shocked Grin

They really need to add negative merit to this forum...
oh c'mon, You can't demerit Sarcasm, How could you?

Yeah, but you can demerit stupidity  Roll Eyes
Don't know how that system will work but I'm sure if you(Assuming you a source of demerit) start de-meriting them you get out of stock every month.

Haha, I'd probably be out by the end of the week given the current state of the forums.
