261  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: FG benefiting from dollar rise against naira, Ndume alleges on: February 27, 2024, 10:30:08 AM
They will definitely benefits from it and one of the reasons to show and proof on this more is from the way they manage to manipulate the exchange rate to drop down for just two days and the next thing for it is to reach another all time high of naira devaluation against dollars, another thing to think of is the way they have failed to increase the workers salaries and minimum wages as the whole price of the market has been sporadically inflated, all subsidy removed, no increase in salary or minimum wages as well, they are earning but not giving back to the people to make live affordable for them.

Thanks for sourcing out this information's about the Nigerian local board performance, i must commend you a good and well done job on this, its also serves as an encouragement for more development and growth experience on the local board, we are having increasing numbers of posts, members joining and as a matter of fact, some other members of the forum who are developing more interest on this our local board as they have seen the performance of quality post are increasing like never before, this is part of what i believed prompted Theymos grant us the local board request and we still believe our more active participation will make the second request for child board be granted as well if we don't relent.
263  Economy / Speculation / Re: The market smells of bitcoin halving. 54 day left! on: February 27, 2024, 09:06:24 AM
The current uptrend in the Bitcoin market appears to be a bull run, but it is not. Basically, most of us know that our bitcoin halving season will start in April and then the price of bitcoin will be more excited. Since the Bitcoin market is currently growing rapidly and its price is changing moment by moment, I can say for sure that the price of Bitcoin will exceed $70,000 before the halving. We know that when of bull's season started in 2021, the price of Bitcoin touched a maximum of $69,000, which was an all-time high for Bitcoin. However, when Bitcoin halves this season, there is definitely a possibility that the price of Bitcoin will exceed $150k. And since the price of Bitcoin has changed a lot in 2024 and moved above $57,000 before the halving, it is expected that Bitcoin will break the 2021 record before the halving. Today the price of Bitcoin has skyrocketed, and soon it is going to touch $60k, so you hold and hold your Bitcoins safely.

Its better we begin to plan ahead right from now about bitcoin halving because we are likely to experience the bullrun now during or after the halving, we can get to a new all time high and this can take no longer time than expected, now the question is whether we are seeing the last all time high of $69,000 before the halving or we are having it back after which the halving already have taken place, another thing to consider is the time for the bullrun, we shouldn't expect this to come in as immediate as after the halving, sometimes it may and other times it may not, we are not likely to also have the bullrun at once, its a gradual process that we keep having new highs until the massive high begins to mark the actual bull season.

265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Have Different Perception Of Gambling Operators on: February 26, 2024, 12:34:54 PM
I just noticed here in our city, that two brothers own different gambling platforms people have different impressions of each one of them, the first one owns a lottery outlet and he is getting respect from people from all walks of life, people look upon him as a giver of luck because many people hit consolations from his Lotto outlet

Photo from Phoenix Lotto FBpage

The other one is the owner of Cockpit Arena and many people despise him because many of their husbands and fathers lose a lot of money and go home empty-handed

I wonder why these two brothers receive different impressions when both are running a gambling platform, honestly, I prefer my friends and relatives to bet on the lotto but I advise them to be careful when playing in a cockpit, because in a cockpit arena, you can wipe out all your money and you end up empty-handed because the games are continuous you have no control and you are tempted to continue playing or lose everything whereas in Lotto you can allocate your bets.

Do you have the same situation like this in your country where gambling operators are not getting the same treatment?

When we are making discussions about gambling, everyone has the right in making the choice of what they want and prefer, there are times that it is our own personal decisions that are of interest to us unlike the ones received as suggestions from others, we can also go for what we have passion for, know about and understand very well, since it is believed that gambling is a form of having entertainment, we can make decision on where to use and how to go about it, this could also be affected by the environment we are living in and the kind of gambling games that are predominant there.
266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency. on: February 26, 2024, 11:49:40 AM
If a casino uses kyc, the advantage of using cryptocurrencies is lost in terms of anonymity, as it becomes very easy to trace all transactions and identify the real owner of the cryptocurrency. Therefore, casinos using only cryptocurrencies and introducing kyc destroy the idea of cryptocurrencies

But little do people know that they can as well make use of a gambling casino that does not requires for kyc only by them making enquiry on that, if we really care about our privacy and being well deeply rooted in cryptocurrency, then we should know that our gambling account shouldn't have anything in common to do with the main wallet we are using for our crypto, in other for them not to trace us right from the wallet address to the gambling profile information when our address is being tracked down.
267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump's stance on Bitcoin is changing on: February 26, 2024, 10:54:48 AM
Having previously called Bitcoin a scam, I was really surprised to hear Donald Trump put out some good words about Bitcoin. My question is what really changed? First, he publicly condemned CBDC and labelled it a surveillance tool and now he's saying he can accept Bitcoin. To be honest, I find hard to believe that his comments are genuine. He's a politician and will always talk like one, he's saying all this to garner support for the forth coming election.
He is like a fox, he doesn't like Bitcoin but he knows that he needs votes and does everything to attract as many people as possible to win the election. I hope that no one will believe any of his promises because politicians always lie, they tell lots of lies before the election and once they win, they forget what they were telling. He is a crazy man that tasted the power of being president of the United States and now he does everything to gain that power back.

If he is indeed ready to convince us more better then he should be able to share us his investment portfolio in bitcoin, by this then we will know he is been serious about bitcoin, we cannot say something to others to use when we are not practicing the same, he have to first live by example before we can believe in him, secondly, being a former president and that he lost his chance for re-election back into office alone shows he is a failure and don't think he has something to offer new than how he has been used to.
268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rated 6th Among the Top Global Currencies on: February 26, 2024, 10:10:49 AM
It seems quite unbelievable as we all know that bitcoin is the strongest currency and the top of all currencies bitcoin is becoming the 6th rate among the top global currencies due to its increasing usage day by day. The primary driver behind this price increase can be attributed to increased inflows into BTC spot ETFs. This is very good news for bitcoin. We believe that those who invest in bitcoin this year can earn well.

It may also have contributed although, but i don't think the major reason for that is bitcoin ETF approval, this increase has always been felt over time with massive adoption as the networks continue to grow wider and stronger, maybe we should also focuses more on the needs of the people in desiring for an alternative digital currency that can give them the freedom, control and profitability they want with bitcoin than digital or traditional fiat currency.

It’s remarkable how far Bitcoin has come in such a short amount of time. It will soon climb that list to be higher placed. I genuinely believe that there is a chance Bitcoin’s marketcap could over take the $ in 2025. If not, it’s only a matter of time until that’s the case.

yeah, that's possible for us to achieve with bitcoin in a matter of time, if we can get to this far, the sky cannot be the limit to the way bitcoin adoption, value and worth can go, now it commonly recognized among the top rated valued currencies, assets and the market cap we may experience after halving could be unpredictable because its going to be massive.

What is the essence of using a gambling platform without following up with their updates and announcements they may want to pass across to gamblers, at least we can see to the best of interest on the ones available on this forum are of good recommendation since they have their announcement thread and representative all available here on the platform and they engage on discussion together with other members of the forum concerning any issues related to their platform.
271  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What can I do to be successful in trading with my small capital on: February 24, 2024, 12:22:44 PM
do i need to an expert in trading before someone will be successful.

What you needed first is trading experience, you can start from somewhere by helping yourself out first before others could, you need to start learning how to trade and got the required basic foundation from reading online and on this platform to gain quick access, then you can also go as well along with the trading experts in case you could locate any to learn more, when you're about to start your own trading, make sure its what you're stating with the amount you can afford to loose.
272  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hyip website offering unusual returns on: February 24, 2024, 11:23:53 AM
I found a Hyip website https://www.standard-wealthinvestment.com/ where they claim investors can earn up to 80 percent daily and there are three  investment packages which is 20%, 40% and 80% returns which seems too good to be true. When you scroll down there is registration certificate which is fake.

Except a newbie and a greedy person will see something like this and still fall into the trap, there are some offers in which the moment we are sighting them, we could have sense the danger in them, if it looks too real to be true, then its not something we should go for, as no any business will be willing in giving a daily interest on investment at such rate when they are not scam, how can they meet up.
273  Other / Meta / Re: (Any Guesses?) Are there many real (unpaid) people still posting here at BCT? on: February 24, 2024, 10:50:25 AM
Following type of users are posting here without the need to get paid

1) There are users coming through google search based on any crypto related problem they are facing and for which a thread has been opened here. They will share their experience also in the same thread. Since, this forum ranks very high in search engines, this constitutes a good percentage of overall members here.

There could be many reasons why a someone could get determined that they wanted to join this forum, some could be through their search on the internet, while some may be by their friends referrals, but the truth is, this is bitcointalk where we make discussions about bitcoin and get to connect with others from across the world in this discussions, posting to get paid will now determined by whom you're posting for, or who hired you or not for doing that, but on a general level, everyone should post here freely and without being obligated for being paid.

2) Same way there are many members here just to improve their knowledge about crypto and to know the recent news related to crypto. That can be a bigger incentive for them than paid signature campaigns especially if they are investing big amounts in crypto.

You're right, some already have been here over time without having considerations for joining a signature campaign and they enjoy it that way because they are not after that, some may as well reconsider to participate and that's not a problem, there are criterial in joining one, but what people must understand is the fact that this place is not a money making platform, we are only doing that as part of the benefits we got served with being a member and the main purpose is for bitcoin discussion, i think there are other threads discussions as well being allowed aside that for bitcoin discussion, like politics and society, altcoins discussions and gambling.

275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel excited while gambling on: February 23, 2024, 01:51:42 PM
For someone like me to have thought of going for gambling alone is an excitement on itself because i will feel like having fun with gambling as am more in disposition for that during my leisure time, gambling is all about being entertained, the excitement should not only comes in when we are winning while gambling, we should always remember the purpose for gambling and the reason why we are going for it in the first place, this will be our courage each time we are gambling whether wining or not, we will be so excited
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's winning more casinos or gamblers? on: February 23, 2024, 11:46:51 AM
As there is always a house edge winning over a gambler, we should just take it as it is that we often loose than we win when gambling and i don't think that this should be a problem onus since we are well aware that gambling should be for fun, when gambling, we should avoid being too desperate for a win, this will shift our focus on the fun benefits and advantage we had in it to how much we are able to derived from it.
277  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: NYSC scheme is another failed structure that could have helped our economy. on: February 23, 2024, 11:10:38 AM
Wouldn't it be more reasonable to send this NYSC members to industrial areas that will expose them to what's obtainable in most industrial setting or to look for ways to improve on our agricultural system rather than sending them to teach the regular maths and physics in school?

It more better that the Government should make considerations in putting the NYSC scheme a top most priority on how they can help improve lives of the youth, its not easy for someone to have served his country for a complete one year and have nothing to gain at the end to secure a job with, instead they release them into their own fate to find a survival means for themselves, when the government could position them all to replace all the employment vacant spots in the work settings considering that people are getting retired every year from work and they equally needs replacements.
278  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Solar systems will be the way out on: February 23, 2024, 10:17:27 AM
Solar system can be an alternative and not the way out in these we are into, because it can only provides with a temporary solution and not a permanent one, you can considers the way people make use of the system to power low voltage devices and we can not apply such as being applicable for the same use on an industrial level, what we needed is to maintain the way the government will focus their interest on increasing the power grid supply from the source under the electricity power distribution, made some changes and help the situation to develop the sector for maximum productivity.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do people truly risk their money on bets for profit? on: February 22, 2024, 01:18:20 PM
People are goin even to that extent of using their last penny to gamble, i don't know the kind of conviction such may have but its totally a bad idea to do so, we are not sure of anything we do in gambling, its only take luck and risk to gamble and win, whereas in most cases, we don't even manage to make win, if we are indeed interested about making profits, then we should just go to making business or investment and not with gambling.
280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Recovering gambling addict stories on: February 22, 2024, 12:44:46 PM
If we are not being careful, gambling can take away everything we have and before we realized that, we might have seen that all is gone already, some people can go to the extent of taking loan to gamble, while some may sell off their own property and investment just because they wanted to gamble, the last categories are those that are making little earnings from what they do and still couldn't afford to make some savings than gambling with the whole earnings, all these are bad habits in gambling.
