261  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopay: A Central Entry Point to a Decentralised World on: February 20, 2018, 09:48:02 PM
Well, I really hope you will introduce a card soon. I still have the Cryptopay app on my phone and I keep getting system reminders to uninstall this dormant app lol.

If you will genuinely release a card soon, please bear in mind that we want one which will last for years. Good solid loading and spend limits, a stable and compliant card issuer, global card acceptance, instantaneous loading of cards and the same impeccable Cryptopay service we have all enjoyed and now sorely miss are just some of what we expect to see.

262  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: The yobit exchange is a scam on: February 20, 2018, 09:35:07 PM
Sam once came to this trading platform, first confused frequent hang of the exchange, and a long enrollment of funds, but when the funds disappeared into the unknown where, left it and do not go there anymore. I do not advise, from my own experience!

I read your post about 5 times and I'm still confused. Was this something given to you by Google translate?  Huh

As for Yobit, they are notoriously unreliable. Expect slow motion support from them when you need anything resolved. Definitely not an exchange to use if you hate waiting or if you want first class service.

Never store coins on Yobit or on any exchange, for that matter. Remember, they have, own and control the private keys. You don't have access to those keys so in essence any coins you send to their hot wallets are no longer yours during the entire time they are stored on their system. They are only yours again when and if you manage to retrieve them. It might seem like the coins are yours, given you have an account with them but that information is just a digital representation of what they claim you own.

To put this into perspective, let's assume you deposited your car and it's keys into XYZ car exchange and you now log into your account with them. The balance says you have "1 BMW 7-series" but it's just that... words on your laptop screen claiming you have it. The actual car is with the exchange and they have the keys to that car. You might feel happy and wealthy and perhaps even brag about it to your friends.. maybe even post a screen shot of your "BMW" balance on Instagram or Facebook but at the end of the day it's still just a screen shot. The car is not physically in your possession so you can't really say you own it.

Going by this lengthy analogy, Yobit owns the coins during the entire time those coins are on their system. You only own them again if you succeed in moving them back to a wallet with private keys you and you alone know, own and control. Knowing Yobit, that's a big if.
263  Economy / Lending / Re: Need up to 10 ETH for 90 days. on: February 20, 2018, 10:54:36 AM
Sounds dangerous. I would advise strongly against taking this form of collateral. Exchanges are usually neutral and will not intervene in or interfere with external loan matters. I have never heard of an exchange offering to freeze assets, let alone an account, in favor of a lender.

Why can’t you send the BTC from that exchange to a trusted forum escrow? Why is it tied to the exchange? I don’t understand what you mean by locked till the expire date.

Sounds very unsafe.
264  Economy / Lending / Re: Please in need of 20.815btc on: February 20, 2018, 12:28:27 AM
Never mind! And forget about giving me loan. I will figure out what to do with my 0.02BTC

There is no need to throw a tantrum. Just accept and admit that you don't have the collateral, let alone ETN, to secure the loan.

You should work on that habit of routinely asking for impossible large loans. Judging from your past feedback, you seem to enjoy doing this. Not sure if it gives you sheer pleasure or if it's an ego booster. If it's something you can't kick or overcome, you should consider getting help. PM me or post your location here and I'll google a couple of psychotherapists or psychologists who can help you fight this fight.
265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Lost bitcoins on: February 19, 2018, 12:25:47 PM
Good advice.

Rickorick, btcspot, I'm sure a bitcoin or two would make your lives better. But to earn the sums you're requesting I would have to work several months of 60 hour weeks, of which 1 in 3 are night shifts. On a bad day I may have to tell a mother that she has accidentally killed her child.

I also work with some great nursing auxillaries whose work can be equally stressful but who are very poorly paid. I'm acutely aware of how lucky I've been, but if you think I'm going to give you money just for asking then you're soft in the head. There are better ways of improving the world.

If giving to charity is one of your goals, consider these kids:

https://youtu.be/SPJAbVJ7igs

It's the Kantha Bopha Hospital. Sad sad sad. I see these long snaking queues everyday on my way to work.

Or perhaps a local charity if you have similar initiatives nearby.

A bitcoin or two to individuals here might make their lives better but consider first and foremost the greater good: your family. Don't give away your coins like candy.
266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Lost bitcoins on: February 19, 2018, 11:23:20 AM
To be fair, he didn't ask me to give any keys to him. I think more of a chancer than a fraudster but I did find the requests for 3 btc a bit much. At the time that would have been more than my salary for a year!

I see. I apologize for my earlier assumptions and retract them. I just found it somewhat suspicious which was why I reacted by posting what I posted earlier today.

I wish you well with your 50 BTC. Use it well and focus first and foremost on giving your family an opportunity for a better life. If you have kids, think about their future, their education and ambitions. Invest in those precious opportunities.

You might get a flood of PMs from long lost “relatives”. Or offers to double or triple your coins. I’m sure you are an intelligent individual. Don’t fall for any tricks.
267  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HOW TO TRADE A LARGE AMOUNT OF BITCOINS WITHOUT BEING TROUBLE IN US? on: February 19, 2018, 09:31:48 AM
The bank won't tell you if you are under suspicion or investigation. They will keep their mouths zipped while they do things behind the scenes. If it gets to a point when your transactions are really suspicious, they will form an investigative team and check your patterns of payments. Onward and outward payments, that is. They will also try to see if any of the persons you wire money to or receive money from are known "launderers" which is an event triggered when those persons are also under investigation. It all starts with an infogram or an infographic representation of who's who on their radar. When your name pops up on it, then you and your account become part of the investigation.

You won't get in trouble if your transactions are legit and if you use an account which allows the transactions you do. For example, if you are using a personal account for large scale money remittances or money exchange or Forex transactions, then the bank might start to wonder and check how the transactions are structured. If their T&Cs say you can only do such transactions on a business or corporate account, then that's when they will terminate your personal account. Even if you have a business account, you must carefully understand what they do and don't allow. Not all banks are happy with clients who do digital currency trades.

I'm not sure how the rules apply but you might also want to look into the FinCEN regs. If you don't and if you are required to be registered, then you might want to carefully think about what you're doing. The US government is a well woven spider web and banks are linked to that web.

The first sign of trouble is when you can't log into your account or if you can't withdraw any money. Frozen funds are another indicator of your account being flagged.

Here are some clues:

Red Flags!

I sent you a message. Check your mail.

Were you hoping he would put the private keys online? Shame it didn't work, hey? Good thing OP wisely worked on the recovery of his coins in a secure way. I was wondering why you pm'd him, instead of advising him publicly.

I already had an inkling after checking a previous post where you were trying to sell a Bittrex account for 2 BTC or $26,000 at that time.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm afraid my private key isn't going anywhere near the internet though, btcspot.

Well done, OP!
269  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Need coins to paypal USD on: February 19, 2018, 07:12:33 AM
Meanwhile I was using a site x-crypto.com. Service gives useful value trading BTC. Payouts via paypal were impeccable.

I doubt you found it by chance. I'm the Dalai Lama if the PayPal payouts are impeccable as you claim.

PayPal and BTC never mix well. They are like oil and water. You can stir and stir or put them on a smoothie blender all day. They still won't mix.
270  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I want to buy coin.(100~300BTC/Day, 1month everyday) on: February 19, 2018, 05:14:56 AM
Although I’m a bit skeptical about these size XXXXXXXL deals, there are some which are genuine. Never judge a book by its cover and in the same vein never underestimate the bank account balance of Asians. Some do have the resources to do these deals. You might be tempted to think these are third world countries but you would be surprised how much cash they have tucked away under their beds.

Arbitraging can be profitable but you need a big pile of money for trades in the scale of hundreds of BTC. A seriously large pile of money.
271  Other / Meta / Re: [SCAM PREVENTION]Remove self-moderation for topics within the marketplace! on: February 19, 2018, 04:55:51 AM
I’m in. Self moderation and thread locking are scam tools. New accounts are almost always the main culprits. I saw one recent thread on the goods section selling phones:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2962934.0

I reported it but it’s still frustrating to see them get away with posting this drivel. The thread is untouchable, except by the section moderators.
272  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: WTS Selling HF account 5.68 TH/s 0.01014581 BTC Balance ATM on: February 19, 2018, 02:10:03 AM
You should consider using escrow to protect both you and the buyer. Best way to avoid rude comments is to be transparent and fair. When you sell something, try to put yourself in the buyer's shoes. Would you pay money to a stranger first before seeing the goods? Would you trust random people you meet online? Trading fairly means you not only protect yourself but also the person you are trading with. Makes sense?

Rude comments are unavoidable. You will get them when people sense they will be taken advantage of or dealt with unfairly. This is why using escrow or a middleman helps in many ways. Escrow takes away the doubt and fear. Use it and you might find a buyer soon.

Here's a list of trusted escrows:

273  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: v1ljar is a scammer (Amazon cards and all kind of gift cards) on: February 19, 2018, 01:57:11 AM
Newbies shouldn't be allowed to use the thread locking and self-moderating feature. It's a tool used to enhance the success rate of their scams. I have seen a few scam threads locked and all I could do was report it to the moderators. They still have a window of opportunity to scam someone up until a moderator deletes the thread or a DT member tags the scammer.

Restricting the locking and self-moderating feature to more advanced members might help stop throwaway accounts from creating scam threads. Would be nice to see this considered and introduced.
274  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: BUY BTC/ETH, PAY CASH IN GERMANY on: February 18, 2018, 11:06:32 PM
I buy BTC/ETH in bulk, pay cash in Germany in the office at city center. 3-5% fee bitfinex-price. Buyer with reference.

Where is the reference? May we see it? Are they forum references?

Selling coins for cash to anyone who invites you to deal privately, even in a CBD or in Germany's Finanzzentrum, is not always safe. Anything can happen. Cash must be checked very thoroughly. One reads of stories of traders getting assaulted and robbed.

There has to be a better and safer way of doing it. You might want to consider meeting up inside a bank but that too might not be enough. Why not buy from bitcoin.de or via SEPA on Localbitcoins?
275  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Does anyone knows where to buy btc using paypal funds on: February 18, 2018, 10:41:59 PM
I can exchange paypal funds via goods & services to any popular cryptocurrency
My fee 10%, minimal amount $200 maximum $5000

Not everyone is selling "dirty funds" here. You should stick to your thread

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2947191.0

and wait for people selling their phished, cloned, stolen and hacked accounts. I'm sure PayPal will condone it so no worries about trading with those like-minded criminals cough cough I meant traders.
276  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling 100 to 2,500 btc Weekly on: February 18, 2018, 10:28:47 PM
I believe I now understand how this scam works.

There was someone who almost got scammed using the wallet's watchlist feature:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2948841.0

If you read my post on that thread, you will understand how they do it.

- Tests by video call
- Proof bitcoins funds by Skype or Zoom video call

No wonder this guy claims he has 100 to 2500 or even more BTC. Read my post on the link above and see how the scam works.
277  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for Investors in return for Equity {Legal} on: February 18, 2018, 10:20:57 PM
I am not asking for Loan. I am asking for a investors with a share in profit. So, collateral doesn't make sense.
I have pasted every info here. What is left for PM is the app name which I think should only be told to Interested person and equity terms & conditions.
I am ready to do paperwork for equity share in my app.
Yes, I agree, I should go to angel investor & venture capitalist but getting the meeting is really tough if you don't have contacts.
Hence, decided to post here and see if someone is interested.

Investing in the expectation of a ROI is akin to loaning you money. The share in profit equates to the interest. And oh yes, collateral does make sense, given you are not exactly someone with an established record of integrity and credibility here. If it doesn't make sense, I suggest you disprove me by doing this: go to any bank and invite them to invest in your app. If they ask for collateral, tell them it doesn't make sense and that you won't provide them with one. If they decide to invest because they agree that "it doesn't make sense" to secure the investment with collateral, give me proof of that and I will invest without requiring collateral too.

Tip: you should be more transparent. Nowhere in your post is any amount mentioned. One can only guess if you need $10 or 10 BTC.
278  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.055 ETH loan. Collaterall worth $600+ on: February 18, 2018, 10:03:50 PM
Looks like you'll the miss that concert then, unless you can borrow the money from someone local.

The collateral is invalid simply because you can't transfer control over it to the lender. When you borrow money, the expectation is that you not only offer proper collateral but also assign rights over it to the lender. And you do that by giving the lender full access and ownership rights to that collateral. What you are doing in your post above is offering temporary access to it. That's because after the loan is granted, you can recover the ICO accounts by going through the ICO's account recovery process.

In essence, if you cannot transfer the tokens to an account solely controlled and owned by the lender, the collateral is not valid.

280  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] GIA .54 carat Flawless / D color / no fluorescence Asscher cut diamond. on: February 18, 2018, 02:26:13 AM
I would love to buy this stone but I live in a country where Customs taxes certain goods at 100% their retail value. Cars for example. They cost twice the price of those sold elsewhere. I’m sure those guys at Customs will instantly invent new rules to destroy my wallet as much as they can. Corrupt to the core.

Really love the cut. Perfect for men’s ring setting and that D color is a winner.
