1241  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mixer and tumbler on: August 13, 2017, 12:05:27 AM
Today's best mixing service is in my signature below.

Your input BTC are not linked to your output BTC. Outputs are paid in private key format which makes it easy for you to incorporate them into any wallet of your choice.

Tracking the transaction ends in the input address itself. If you send 1 BTC you do not get 1 whole BTC chip in return. The output bitcoins are divided into "chips" which you can withdraw to wallets in time increments (say, 1 chip now and 2 chips a few hours later and the rest of the chips tomorrow or next week). This makes tracing and linking of transactions very challenging, if not even impossible.

1242  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Max Security with Online Services like Coinbase Gemini Blockchain.info on: August 12, 2017, 10:47:36 PM
I use an email account with a unique password. I do not use common passwords across my other accounts. They each have their own unique password.

I use Authy for 2FA with a prepaid phone number linked to it. The 2FA number is not the same account recovery number stored on Google Accounts.

I disabled the multi-device feature on Authy. The phone hosting my Authy is enrolled in Apple's 2FA system.

I access my email on a Chromebook. I have no extensions installed on this Chromebook.

I access my bitcoin wallet on a second Chromebook which I use exclusively for this purpose alone.

I never ever open email-delivered links and I always type website addresses I want to access.
1243  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: FRAUD WARNING: Bitstamp Support is ignoring me on: August 12, 2017, 09:40:37 PM
Situations such as this solidify the need for every bitcoiner, novice or not, to fully understand the risks of using these exchanges as a storage for both fiat and bitcoins, let alone as one's wallet. When you and you alone have full control of the private key, risks of loss or misappropriation are substantially reduced. These exchanges are, yes, regulated and some have been around for a while and are thus safe but one should only invest or inject sums in these exchanges which are within one's tolerable thresholds.

So now they have your funds and are holding them hostage for days or even weeks at end. If I were in your shoes and this amount of money were held in limbo with no reaction from them, after having bombarded them with emails and tweets, I would be extremely angry. I would probably email them day and night, minute after minute until they finally succumb and respond. That's a seriously large amount of money. No way would I simply wait and sit passively. If you have fiat sitting on your bitstamp account and with bitcoin now at nearly $3.8k and continuing to climb, your revenue opportunities (which translate to potential losses) are piling up.

I have a fully verified bitstamp account which I used back in 2013/14 when bitcoin was about $100ish each. I no longer use the account. The transaction history painfully reminds me of what I could have made today with those 100+ btc.

1244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I need a miner that can push my transaction to a pool so it can be confirmed on: August 12, 2017, 01:17:59 PM
As title says, i will pay a fee ofcourse.

Try doing it here:

https://pool.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

It won't work on that site if you sent your transaction with zero fees. A minimum 0.0001BTC/KB fee is required. And also be aware that Viabtc accelerates a maximum of 100 transactions every hour.

If this isn't what you were looking for, try sending a pm to Quickseller. Not sure if he will help but he might. No harm in asking.

Or try this thread:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1934749

1245  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Honey Singh's Exchange Thread(BTC-PM-LTC-MG-WU-PM-SKRILL-NETELLER-PAYPAL) on: August 12, 2017, 10:21:35 AM
Don't forget to add escrow to your terms above. Without it, your offer holds no credibility. Reputation earned on another forum is not transferable to this forum. Trust here is based on earned and proven integrity, consistent and positive trading relationships and a well-aged presence here. Just like wine. It gains value as it ages.

If you are offering PayPal or other reversible payment methods, this first post might be seen as a scam attempt. If you are offering bitcoins AND escrowed trades, then you will probably attract traders soon. Escrow protects you too. If you intend to accept PayPal payments, I suggest you consider trading with trusted and reputable traders.

1246  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitCoin Remit Service on: August 12, 2017, 09:06:53 AM
You are forgetting (or intentionally avoiding) the topic of ESCROW.

ESCROW is a must here. You cannot expect people to simply send you bitcoins upfront and hope you will fulfill your part of the transaction. Would you send the money upfront without the bitcoins? No, right? Put yourself in the shoes of the person holding these bitcoins. Would you send the bitcoins upfront to a stranger half way across the planet?

Are you aware of any trusted escrow service?  Seems all companies are like anything else in this space, in a beta stage and/or completely unheard of.

Also, there is a chicken or the egg problem.  How can I cashout and remit bitcoin to paper currency without having said coins in my hands?

I do not see any other way to have this system work without the sender's trust in my business.  It's why I encourage to only send small enough amounts that make them comfortable.  If there is any other way you could see to offload risk of both parties I would like to hear them.

Trust is the most contentious and challenging issue when it comes to transactions such as the type you are proposing here. What makes trust an even more important element of the relationship is when the agreement involves significant amounts of money.

The money remittance systems in the UAE and the rest of the Gulf region makes life so much easier for migrant workers and expatriate investors to move funds overseas. Far less hassle than the rest of the world, I admit. BitOasis as a Gulf-focused exchange makes this a potentially even more promising project for you and I hope you will find the financial resources and logistical support to turn this into a successful business.

The first step would be to find investors who are prepared to inject cryptocurrency resources into this project. This is a challenging step and it might involve you presenting a business plan and a feasibility study of everything from projected costs to expected gains (based on remittance trends in the UAE). Communication is key to everything and if you can successfully and properly communicate your intentions across people with significant disposable bitcoin reserves, then this might work after all.

And of course, you would have to consider the regulatory landscape in the UAE. I did read something about bitcoin ATMs being disallowed a a few years ago so I'm not sure how your plans stand against current restrictions and rules of the UAE government.

As for escrow, I'm not sure how you would approach this aspect, given the complex structure of a remittance system involving enormous amounts of money. I hope you will find suitable and appropriate advice about this.

Is BitOasis already involved in remittances?

1247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Did My Software Uninstall Itself? on: August 12, 2017, 02:43:17 AM
That's a scary thing to happen. Going to bed and waking up to a blank screen or a self-destructing wallet.

Always always always keep a back up of your wallet's private keys. Multiple back ups. In different formats so other wallets can retrieve your bitcoins in the event of the inevitable happening to your main device.

This happened to me once back in 2014. I was using multibit and I didn't understand how change addresses worked back then. The entire bitcoins disappeared. I broke out in a cold sweat. It affects one both mentally and physically. Unlike banks, you know there is no support staff or branch to go to. I resynched the wallet and only then did the bitcoins reappeared. Very stressful.

I now use breadwallet and I still keep multiple backups of the secret phrase. I even converted it to a private key, just in case.

1249  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase is restricted to cell phone users only. on: August 11, 2017, 11:17:44 PM
there are...lots...of problems with coinbase, unfortunately, if you reside in the US gulag there are increasingly fewer options

Really? What other options are disappearing the US? Coinbase IS an option, as is Circle, Blockchain.info, Kraken, Xapo, Mycellium, the list goes on. This doesn't preclude the OP from getting onto a bitcoin exchange.

i used coinbase back in the day. i havent used them in years. i recently tried to log into my account to verify some old transactions and couldn't get through their security process.

i wanted to call and talk to a real person but couldn't find a contact number.

i'll never use them again.

I just had an issue with Coinbase days before the BCC air drop. I noticed a suspicious transaction. I submitted the service request. Coinbase then froze my access to the account "until they could verify my identity". What the fuck? And guess what, within 24 hours I had my service restored. The entire process took 36 hours, which is frustrating, but I received a response within hours to every one of my emails.

Why are others having so much trouble? Why did I have it so easy?

Your perception of 36 hours being easy is a misplaced perception.

Easy is when you can access your wallet securely and safely without waiting 36 hours in a market of volatile rates.
Easy is when you don't get locked out and feeling unsure or worried about seeing your funds again.
Easy is when a customer is not inconvenienced in any way.

I do not understand why some people can't grasp the safety and simplicity in using a wallet which you and you alone fully control. You and you alone. No freezing. No locking of funds. You and you alone own, hold and keep your private keys. No splitting of keys and delegating control of funds to another individual or entity. Delegation of control is incompatible with full ownership.

1250  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: August 11, 2017, 10:52:02 PM
Might be shift in customer from bitmixer to chipmixer have increased the amount of donation they are getting from few big users.
After bitmixer closure volume went up and donations went up but support requests went up (customers were used to simpler mixing process) and donation percentage went down (customers were used to automatic fee deduction).

We are thinking about adding ChipMixerLite version that would work exactly like old BitMixer - you send output addresses, receive signed contract, send coins and wait a few hours to get them. The good part would be simplicity. The bad part would be split of mixers volume and less privacy. What do you think about it?

I enjoy using your mixer. Hopefully in the future you will introduce more innovative ways of mixing coins such as an app. A nice app for iOS and android users should be an ambitious project but look at it this way.. there are no mixer apps. They are all web based. Would be nice to understand why.

1251  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex No Longer Supporting US on: August 11, 2017, 10:29:18 PM
This "mass exodus of US customers" will hardly impact their trading volume. Most of today's cryptocurrencies are heavily traded outside North America.

The US's aggressive enforcement of seizures across international jurisdictions has long been a contentious issue not just within the bitcoin community but also within very specific industry sectors offering financial custodial services (such as traditionally secretive offshore banks). Switzerland is a prime example. They used to be a neutral and untouchable banking enclave for decades. This is no longer the case and US persons banking there can expect their account balances shared with the IRS. The primary motivating factor seems to be Uncle Sam's aggressive drive to collect taxes from Americans who find (criminally) creative ways to hide their wealth. Singapore and Hong Kong used to be just as highly regarded as Swiss banks. Their banks now refuse to open accounts for Americans or anyone considered to be taxable residents of the US.

We anticipate the regulatory landscape to become even more challenging in the future.

This is why banks and bitcoin struggle to maintain a receptive and lasting relationship. For as long as banks and exchanges fear being sanctioned by regulatory authorities and for as long as risks and costs far exceed manageable thresholds, this exclusion of Americans will continue in the future.
1252  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BTCBIT.NET - Buy cryptocurrency via VISA/MASTERCARD CHEAP with low commission on: August 11, 2017, 12:40:08 PM

Nice site. What assurance or guarantee can you give that the verification documents and the card details will not be used for other purchases or purposes?

Well-designed site. Client identification is a good way to protect a business but it is important to protect the customer too.

Just a bit concerned about the bitcoin reserves being given as a solid and even 100,000 BTC which looks somewhat exaggerated. And also the credit card buy limit's ceiling amount of USD 20k. This is a bit unusual for a max purchase amount. It looks like it's designed to lure people to provide card and identity information using the attractiveness of the limits and reserves.

I might be wrong or just overly suspicious. Latvian banks might have such limits but I still find it unusual and exaggerated.

1253  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: BYLAL'S EXCHANGE SERVICE (BTC / PayPal / Skrill / Venmo) on: August 11, 2017, 07:47:31 AM

Nice try, scammer. Nice try. Try harder. This won't work.

This is your first post and your reputation on other sites is as worthless as your word. Nobody will go first and I strongly urge that nobody sends you coins upfront.

Nice scam strategy above. YOUR bitcoins to either PayPal or Skrill are 20/25%. But when it comes to your reversible Skrill, Venmo and PayPal funds, you are offering those 1 to 1. A typical scam strategy intended to lure people here to sell their coins to you. I doubt you want anyone's PayPal or Skrill which is why you intentionally set unattractive rates for those two.

Your primary target is getting those coins. To keep people interested and less focused on the chargeback risks, your offer is 1:1.

And Skype of course it is. A scammer's favourite playground.

You didn't mention anything about escrow. Why? Oh well, that was a rhetorical question. I'm sure you know very well WHY. It's just not on the menu.

Edit. I see you added escrow. I'm sure however that this is a ploy to avoid being red paint and to buy time while waiting for that elusive newbie who can send a coin or two first. The whole magic happens within Skype, outside everyone's eyes here. Escrow is useless in cases of PayPal of Venmo. When coins are released, you can easily chargeback the money.

1254  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Where can I buy bitcoin without verifying Id? on: August 11, 2017, 05:28:27 AM
Its's impossible to buy bitcoin without ID.

We buy crap all the time online without ID.

I literally just want to put my Credit card info in then buy bitcoin. It's that easy.

Even sellers on localbitcoins want ID!!! Outrageous.

Do you have to give ID when you buy groceries? What about when you buy Gold and Silver?

You dont have to give ID for buying anything else online, then why cant bitcoin sellers just get with the game?!?!?!?

Everybody here is whining about ME ME ME ME ME! There is something you all forget and it's called FRAUD!

It's not just about you ID-paranoid coin buyers but also about the loss-paranoid coin sellers who want to be 100% assured that the payment will not be chargebacked AND that the card is not a hacked or stolen one.

If you can't identify yourselves, buy your bitcoins from an ATM near you or mint them yourselves!
1255  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Sending 1k Venmo for $850 USD BTC on: August 10, 2017, 10:01:20 PM
Welll..... lol a brand new account with 0 interactions with anyone changed his mind last second said hes been scammed 8x in a row (in broken english) and wants me to send first.

Of course nobody in his right mind will send first. You expect people here to send you $850 worth of coins upfront AND you offer to pay (that's if you even intend to do it) with Venmo, a notoriously reversible payment method.

And the way you wrote this post.. the arrogance, the misplaced over-confidence. "not sure why i'm even having this convo".. You very well know why! You are trying to convince people to ignore your red trust and to send first.

1256  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I am Buying BITCOINS on: August 10, 2017, 04:51:39 AM
Born without a sense of smell... yet this stinks so badly of a scam. It cured my smell disorder.

I love the cautious i'm-sending-first approach. Probably afraid of being red tagged on first post.

But there is a sinister modus operandi behind all this. It's the unwritten part embedded within the all caps line above. When contacted, they will definitely not send first.

1257  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Baikal POSSIBLE scam! on: August 10, 2017, 04:26:35 AM
I have purchased from them a few times and they have always requested an ID. Sent it and never had a problem.  Really isnt much for scammers to steal from an ID anyway.

Yea I read online criminals could sell the passport, make a fake passport, steal your identity, make you the guilty party of a crime you didn't commit. I read that and I freaked out, but now that you say that they required it makes me feel a lot better and I'm glad I did not cancel the wire. I wonder why they are requiring the ID though it is very strange especially when their bank says they don't need an ID.

Hi.. it's not usual practice to ask for IDs here in Asia but some require it for high value transactions. The reason for this is to ascertain and ensure that the payment is legitimate and that the sending account was not "hacked". The ID is meant to give the receiver some form of proof and conclusive assurance that you are the owner of the sending account.

As you might be aware, telegraphic transfers (TT) can, like credit card payments, be recalled or reversed. All your bank needs to do is send the receiving bank a recall request by SWIFT and if the reason provided is "fraud", then the receiving account has no chance of keeping the money. Thus the ID requirement. Probably meant to give them some form of defense in case you do such a thing.

1258  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: BUY ВТС / ВТС-Е USD [+9-10%]. SWIFT/WU/OKpay/WM/ others.. on: August 09, 2017, 02:07:03 PM
Did you know that BTC-E is not longer available ? Do you accept escrow in order to sell you bitcoins ? Does your range rate is betweem +9/10% of the current BTC value ? If so I want to exchange with you.

I know, it's tehnical wrong. sure we accept escrow.
Interesting what escrow you accept, since you denied me send first ? I am also on escrow list https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=276897.0

He denied you? With your trust rating? So he wants escrows to send first? This is indeed interesting. I reserve my judgment but I have a feeling... an inkling about this.

Guys, escrow only when doing this.. no sending of BTC upfront. My sixth sense is telling me if it's fishy it must be fish.
1259  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Tonnes asking Beginner's to export their private key to access Bitcoin Cash on: August 09, 2017, 01:37:47 AM

No scam here.

The tutorial is identical to the method explained here:

https://github.com/OmniLayer/omniwallet/wiki/Exporting-Private-Key-from-Blockchain.info-and-Importing-to-Omniwallet.org

Learn, read, research and think before crying scam.

1260  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Tutorial] Export private key from blockchain.info for bitcoin cash! on: August 09, 2017, 12:14:44 AM
If I send my bitcoin to blockchain now, will I receive bitoincash? Or it only applies to people who store bitcoin from the first

This is a scam. If you give your private keys to ANYONE they will be able to move your coins where every they want. You will get robbed.

Seriously, ignore this shit!

This guy is an idiot. Crying and howling scam when there is no scam being perpetrated. OP is simply giving instructional assistance in deriving private keys from a blockchain wallet.

You can detect idiots easily. No need to meet them face to face.
