I thinking the price is going to skyrocket in the next few days:
- There is a lot of cash on the exchanges right now, everyone is waiting to buy the dip that will never happen due to the support from genuine new demand
- A lot of people want to get their coins off the exchanges before the fork & before the exchanges freeze transfers - so that they control the private keys to both sides of the fork - coins on exchanges are going to be in very short supply at the time of the fork
- If there is a significant loss of hash power blocks could take up to 50 mins - this would slow down the resupply of coins on the exchanges. The price will be jaw dropping once we are past the fork but there are no bitcoins to be found anywhere.
Sorry for all the people waiting for the dip to $2k - it ain't going to happen.

looking at the 2 hour optimism chart it very clear to me that we're going up again an should hit $7300 in the next few hours(also go litecoin go)
$8k USD/BTC by end of November. $12k will not surprise me 12k in 23 (ish) days, with a major holiday in the US interrupting money wires? that's 5k away. i mean it's possible, we've seen steeper climbs i think. but i, for one, would find anything about 8k pretty surprising, given the expected dip from the fork. |

I'm very not liking all this uncertainty around the fork/CME starting up. Everything I'm seeing suggests Segwit2x will have a small amount of miners, but people are talking doom.
I don't get it.
Two segwit branches fighting over 1M or 2M blocks feels irrelevant to me on a technical level. Both are almost the same, the diff in block size between 1M and 2M isn't that big. Its more like a battle of egos or a battle to gain control of the bitcoin brand, or an attempt to sack the core developers. Honey Badger don't care. Or From another point of view the problem is that forks are muddying the water, bitcoin as a concept was once clear but now is not. Additionally the limit of 21million has been cloned to 42million to 63million and so on, of different types. So far bitcoin (or the chain that is perceived to be bitcoin) is continuing on happily but the seeds are being sown for the crypto winter to come. Is that the DOOOM you speak of? yea, the second one, i suppose. |

What is the standard Lamborghini that people put in their portfolios? The LP500S is a great car, but kind of rare-ish and wonky. Would the Diablo be a standard unit of measurement, or something else? My quick research shows two current production models: Huracan and Aventador. The others are all older (and thus, no longer brand new.) *edit* seems there's a third one called Centenario, but they only made 20 coupes and 20 roadsters or 40 cars total, all of which have been sold. Lockdown in Transformers: Age of Extinction is a Black or Dark Grey 2013 Aventador. I'm thinking the Huracan, even the base model (as that's the lowest priced) is a good place to start. It's still at least 250k USD. ...what, no aston martin db10? amateurs. |

real life keeps my activity low. only reason i'm active right now is i'm sick with a cold.
a few minutes on here in the morning, at lunch and before bed can add up to a great bonus, but for all i know you have your hand on a dead man's switch 18 hours a day. yea, it's not really like that, the dead man's switch i mean. i tried it a few months ago. have to have constructive posts and a minimum number of them i could never hit, outside this thread. sigh. |
